I'm a little new to the shares world, can I get this explained to me like a 5-year-old? Sorry for the inconvenience but I would like to buy in if it's a good option, but I'm not sure where to start. I love bitcoin and support everything it stands for, but if it doesn't start to become a little more easy to understand and handle, then that will only slow it down for mainstream adoption. Although I'm not a genius, I'm also not an idiot, and the learning curve here for the non-economic and non-techy types like myself is tremendous...

Most people have to invest in stocks and bonds to preserve their wealth.
Saving your money is not possible as the constant inflation in Fiat erodes your savings (purchasing power)

With Bitcoin you can just save your Bitcoin you don't need to invest. (so it is already more simple)

Investing is hit and miss, in Bitcoin 99.99999% of investments are a miss, this one looks to be a perfect storm, the right management, the right economic conditions and the right time.

If you are new to investing in this manner, and you want to learn on the go https://www.havelockinvestments.com/ just play with a small sum you are willing to lose.

Thank me in Bits 12MwnzxtprG2mHm3rKdgi7NmJKCypsMMQw

when was the last time they used weekly income to reinvest into new chips/orders ?
and could we expect to see that again soon or is that not taken from the weekly div?

good question, I decided to wait till the div are announced, cause it can cause the price to go eitherway.

Definitely time to pick up some better hardware.  I'll work on replacing out the app server later this week.  That's the second time in the last month or so we've run out of RAM.

Cheers.

Out of curiosity, are Eric M. and myself the only Canadian AM shareholders here? I know we have more lurking in the shadows!

You can add me to the list of lurking Canadian shareholders.  Wednesday is no longer hump day; it's climax day!  Shocked

Anyone serious about trying to contain the rapid price rise should put sell orders on the exchange at a price you consider to be too high. Whatever you do, do not pull those sell orders, sell into them and take the profits.

I've already done this with all my shares (I'm not a big holder though). My first order will hit at BTC6 (I consider any price above 6 to be unreasonably high...bubble territory)

We should have a ASICMiner meet up. We can go too the Cambie and try to get everyone to buy AM shares.

actually i dont think its ever too high, i like when it goes up, but i rather it go up later on, maybe in a few years, maybe later then and if bitcoin is worth way more then it is now,
i rather now the price be lower so this way i can reinvest more of the dividends to more shares, this way in the future when there price will and if they will be higher, i will have collected alot more by then,

It would be *great* for an AM meet-up in China, get to meet friedcat even haha.

Obviously less practical for people based in US / Canada, but anyone in Asia, its a $100 plane ride or so to China.

Sheesh, AM are rich enough, they could lay on free sausage rolls  Grin
