I am with you regarding the lack of a dedicated PR person, but how can you still be that ignorant?!
Exactly that had been promised over and over again. And that IS sentiment in this thread. But YOU are trying to unnecessarily turn it down again. It had been raised over and over again. And we will bring it up again and again until it is resolved.
Where is the PR person?

I believe that this whole thing boils down to trust.
Do I/you/we trust that Friedcat will do as he says? Will the ASICMiner team?
Could he/they take gen3 chips and vanish only to sell them to someone else? Will AM/FC honor the terms that stated?
Since this whole adventure started in August 2012 (~only 18 months ago!), FC/AM (and some shareholders) have made far more money than they ever dreamed of.
The question to ask yourself regardless of what other people here say is:
"Do I trust Friedcat and the ASICMiner team to act and deliver the things that they said that they would?"
The market has already spoken with a share price of ~0.65 with record low and no dividends.
What do you think?

Doesn't exist, you already knew that but you keep bringing it up and it was not in the prospectus you want to adhere to so why do you expect there to be a PR person. If Friedcat wants to add one thats his own decision to make, and I for one don't see any need for it. Why do we need one other than to hold some shareholders hands. He does a fine job posting updates when needed and I would rather have updates directly from friedcat than from some middle PR person who sugar coats everything.

Lets not waste energy, and point out the facts. Trust is not something you get for granted, is something you build and keep with resiliency and reliability. The moment that reliability gets eroded, trust gets eroded. The moment they are gone, trust is gone.
The only reason I was still holding AM shares was because Friedcat showed impressive work ethic, demonstrating that he has principles, he is punctual, and he is reliable. That was so far. The recent two misses are of concern, mainly not because it happened, but as many here have pointed out, because it was without any notification. Last week it was a late payment, and this week has been no payment. This is quite a big event for someone who has been executing payments like a clockwork for years.
As I said previously, once is an anomaly, twice is a coincidence, thrice is a pattern. If by next week it doesn't get normalized, or at least an official announcement that explains these two flukes, I will seriously consider dumping all my shares.
Having said that, it is useless to debate, discuss, bitch or fight over this between us. Nothing we say here in the forums will change anything, it is a waste of time and energy to do so. If some people don't get it, just let them be.

Let's be honest here, no divs was always going to happen. I'm just surprised it's took this long for it to occur and I voiced my opinion on the matter rather loudly in these forums. FriedCat has done an amazing job at keeping divs so high for so long, proving me completly wrong. With network hash rate rising, AM hash rate declining, and gen 1 miner sales dwindling to nothing once sold out, divs can only go down. I truly expected AM to be at the point they are now in regards to divs back in January.

Generation 2 fizzled. Kudos to friedcat to scrap those plans early and get busy on Gen3 asap. This generation of chips is poised to dominate once more and asicminer will be in perfect position to launch gen 4,5,6 etc.
For those about to rock.....
We salute you!

I truly expected AM to be at the point they are now in regards to divs back in January. You can make all the analysis you want, interpreting the situation as you like. I am not necessarily disagreeing, but ambiguous stimuli can me interpreted in a myriad of ways, and all of them making perfect logical sense. PR exists precisely to squash conjectures, miscommunication breeds distrust, and from there it becomes a snowball effect where fear becomes the only reality. In the bigger scheme of things, I think Friedcat probably didn't have time and preferred to allocate his time to the Gen3 testing which is absolutely prioritary. But I hate to make meta-conjectures, firstly because they are absolutely pointless. It is good to have the discipline to realize which thoughts are actual wishful thinking. Friedcat should have made a brief announcement at least, releasing them late last week and cold stopping dividends this week was very unlike him, and that's what was worrying. He used to announce before when less dividends were going to be expected because they wanted the capital for expansion and investment, and we were absolutely fine with it. Friedcat must start to consider seriously to have someone in charge of PR.

Holy cow, what've you been up to last night after the good news? I believe it's simple: Yes, it is worrying, that the past 2 week's dividends were delayed, the last one even significantly. It may or may not be a "breach of contract", because it is still up to FC/BF to decide what constitutes the final dividends that are to be paid to the shareholders. Of course it would've been easy and better to drop a short message to the forum. In these times this makes a lot of people uneasy - understandably. On the other hand: We're talking about a new low of dividends, while FC and his team - obviously - was and still is pretty tied up testing the chips and preparing the according hardware and releases to the public. It is not unprecedented that FC is quiet for over a month's time and yet he dropped some pretty positive news yesterday, calming many people - including myself!
Long story short: It may very well be worrying in times like these and effectively not the way it should be, but I - personally - believe it's not indicative of something going awry.

Actually I assume that was due to Havelock - the trading halt of Neo combined with multiple downtimes.

What? Havelock has no effect on AM paying divs... we are talking about REAL divs, not pass-through divs. Havelock could be nuked from orbit, and friedcat would have no issue paying divs what so ever.

The selling on Havelock is strange, as well. .65 is quite conservative considering the good news. But on the other hand, we're almost at 0(!) divs and the performance of gen 3 still needs to be evaluated. I was talking about the arguments here and juvenile insults. Seems like a party that eventually turns into a drunk fistfight...

Many BTC whales are VERY conservative at this point, even when it comes to AM. Likely waiting on div payments ramping up or some third party proof that miners are shipping and working to spec.

AM is very overvalued currently - due to the speculation of gen 3 of course. When the divs rise again, we'll see an increasing share price. I wonder which yearly yield we're going to see this generation, is it going to be lower than last year's of 20-30%?
