Although AM does not take preorders, in the business world often the inverse is true. In other words, there is a strong possibility that AM sold chips without immediate payment, net due in 30, 60, or 90 days. This is quite common. It is possible that AM has a very large number in their accounts receivable ledger and is awaiting payment from vendors before distribution to shareholders.

You should also know that the only thing that binds the shareholders and FC is trust. This is a totally unregulated venture (and possibly illegal in some countries) so don't treat it as if you had bought US Treasury Bonds on the NYSE.

Actually I think I trust Friedcat better than these guys. He got a better track record.

Will take me a while to climb up again, But where is a will, there is a way...

EDIT: I'm loving the BRK comparison and think that would be a perfect model for FC and AM. Just give us a no-frills website, an annual letter to shareholders, and quarterly reports, and watch as the goodwill and power come rolling in.

This is an excellent idea. Regular financial reports pushed onto some basic website would do wonders for decluttering this thread, and would also help provide some stability and fairer price discovery. Friedcat would be free to update more often without worrying about shifting the price one way or another, and it would go a long way towards legitimizing this firm in the eyes of traditional investors.

Regardless of people saying be patient for returns, transparency issues will continue to cause share prices to suffer. People are simply far less willing to speculate on the future when the future lacks clarity resulting from a profound absense of information which can be readily addressed.

I really don't think FC cares about how the share price moves when he makes posts and releases the financial reports.

I do like the idea of a website he could update but it would probably work out better if a boardmember / people in this thread worked together to make the website and then we requested that FC post his updates there and in btctalk so that its easily visible. We could even add an rss feed to the website so you would get updates.

I guess you would have mentioned it if you knew... but, any estimate on when the next dividend payments would be?

Looking at the balance sheet, I wouldn't expect dividends any time soon: the company assets are in inventory/materials, not in cash.

However, it means that AM has planned a whop-ass expansion!

Anyone knows what the Exchange position in cashflow sheet is?

Edit:

OK, I just noticed the 4K BTC Exchange in Expenses seems to be the 2M USD in Income.

Anyone knows what the Exchange position in cashflow sheet is?

Looks like they sold BTC in order to pay the fab or cover other expenses: BTC is on the expense "exchange" side, USD is on the income "exchange" side...

Sounds like cash conversion to BTC is very difficult at best in that environment.  Asicminer needs to provide incentive for customers to pay in BTC.
