1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Was $25K the bottom? on: May 16, 2022, 02:30:04 PM
Well, I for one was expecting a reversal half way through this month and for the short term I am extremely bullish. In a couple of days if the momentum goes well then I will get more and more bullish midterm. Although I haven't placed long positions on leverage yet, I am quite satisfied that I was able to buy some altcoins and a little bit of satoshis on spot when bitcoin was at 25k-27k+. I also bought some shitcoins and low cap coins for fun that I wish would surprise me a couple months from now after forgetting about buying them. xD
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Potential to Drop in the $32k Area on: May 15, 2022, 06:10:29 PM

Welp, at least we had a bit of a sigh of relief this weekend. And at the time of writing this post, the price is at 30k+ which is pretty good in my opinion. I hope in a couple of hours as the Asian Monday starts, we'd see a good pump in the price of bitcoin and would continue to go up all throughout the week. Although, I think a pull back may happen but I am keeping myself positive right now, lol. Not jumping into any trades yet though since I am still waiting for a good daily close plus a few good confirmations.
3  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Russia isn't using it's full force in Ukraine ? tactically .. on: May 15, 2022, 05:36:06 PM
Probably because they are underestimating Ukraine and the tenacity of the Ukrainian people. But I don't think they would underestimate it to the point that it would make the war drag on this long. One thing I can think of would be the way they think that they should always be prepared for whatever implications their invasion on Ukraine may bring. Although it may be unlikely for the other countries to be involved to an extent of attacking Russia directly but I guess they just want to be well prepared for whatever scenario.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Australia now has two spot Bitcoin ETFs on: May 15, 2022, 04:26:59 PM
Well, in what I have learned so far, as long as it is an ETF, it is good news and depending on the place where it is approved, it can be just bullish or mega bullish. This is because it not only spreads the name of bitcoin but it also enables the people who have little to no knowledge about bitcoin to still be able to get their hands on some profits. There are also people who know a lot about bitcoin but are too lazy to go through all the trouble of creating an account on an exchange or preparing a secure wallet etc., just to be able to invest on bitcoin. Of course, on the perspective of a crypto enthusiast ETFs aren't essential but for the normal people outside of this industry, it is an amazing opportunity.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terra Ecosystem Revival Plan - Luna V2 WHAT DO YOU THINK? on: May 14, 2022, 03:43:00 PM
The plans are quite good but I'm not going to be over optimistic yet. At least not until I see some good progress and results. I don't even care if I get left behind and won't get to gain as much profits as early investors. What I'm after are profits and it doesn't matter whether big or small as long as profits are there. Although, I am not like this on every asset I buy it's just that I lost trust on this altcoin already which is why I am being extra cautious than usual.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holy Crap ! Terra is gone to zero ?!?! on: May 14, 2022, 03:06:57 PM
Now the blockchain is stopped, transactions are blocked. This is the right decision, because in a few days we would have over 100 billion LUNA coins. The founders have very big problems, they will be sued and criminal cases will be brought against them, so negotiations are underway now.The LUNA team agrees to all the conditions of large funds, because they have no choice.

It's really sad seeing TerraLuna end up like this. I personally see Luna as a great project ever since I heard of it late 2019. And since then I have been accumulating little by little. And despite selling last year on november, I was looking for better entries. I never expected that this would happen. It originally had good utility. Maybe the devs are to blame for some bad decisions but yeah, big investors are to blame as well for pulling out. But then again, these investors have every right to pull out and protect their money. No one really wanted this to happen but there's nothing to be done about it anymore, I don't even think luna will be able to get up from this, sigh..
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The 10,000-Hour Rule in Bitcoin? on: May 14, 2022, 12:46:24 PM
While I agree that rank and merits may help identify the ones that have more knowledge on bitcoin or on all crypto, this doesn't mean that it is a 100% accurate way to differentiate people. I have seen people in this forum that know a lot about bitcoin but are not of those ranks, some are even developers. I guess it depends on which things a person is interested about and what are his long term goals in this industry.

- I can't really give the exact numbers but as long as I can remember I read about anything related to crypto as long as there is reception. Even on vacations. Which I started doing since late 2016. I do not focus on bitcoin alone though.
- Devices and internet. I guess being in a circle that also is fond of this industry also helped.

Down 100 % on CoinMarket Cap !! What !?!

Just checked on Binance and the price right now is about 0.006usdt something, this is so sad. I have witnessed the rise of luna and the hardships it overcame over the years and I honestly liked its concept which is why I thought it would only go up as time goes by. What a waste, sigh. Although I sold my Luna holdings last year, I was still hoping to see better buying conditions but now, I am hesitant to buy back since I have lost trust on it and I think a lot of people also did which is why the price just continued to drop. I really do not know whether they can still be able to recover from this or not. Really, what a waste.. sigh.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Potential to Drop in the $32k Area on: May 12, 2022, 02:26:08 PM
This is what we wait for, I guess. That time has come and I hope I expect a surge in buying demand than panic selling.
The market looks very interesting this time, we never know how long it reaches the bottom. I was thinking of $20k. But I don't think we have to wait for the moment before we buy? No, it is not necessary, it is rather to take this opportunity rather than lose it.

I am also hoping that the 26k+ wick a couple of hours ago would be the new low and that a good recovery would happen. But yes, just like you I also see bitcoin going as low as 21k-20k+ levels. If the selling pressure continues and the bulls still don't take action, we may really see these prices again. But, as unpredictable crypto is, I also am expecting a move upwards half way through the month. So being in this unpredictable market, continuous accumulation and DCA is the most hassle free and effective way to gain profits in the long run.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Mortgages Let Homebuyers Keep Bitcoin, Put Down Nothing on: May 12, 2022, 01:56:16 PM
I am quite curious, wouldn't this be just like holding bitcoin or any crypto currency? Apologies for not being able to see but can anyone mention how this is better than holding or trading on an exchange? Because if it really has better benefits than holding or trading on leverage on exchanges, I would really love to try out this new thing. Currently searching for better investments or money making ways that does not take as much time as trading for hours on a daily basis(preferably crypto-related). Thanks.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT's hype over? on: May 08, 2022, 03:43:21 PM
The thing that may be causing this slight decline in terms of interests about NFTs is the current market conditions which is bad and got worse many days after you created this thread. Another factor maybe unawareness of other NFT markets other than opensea which offers a wide variety of good NFTs as well and has much cheaper prices and fees due to the low fees that are required for every transaction. Still though, my twitter notifs still continue to explode due to NFT related tweets and retweets. I guess the drop on interest isn't really that drastic.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doge Future after Elon Musk Buy Twitter ? on: May 07, 2022, 07:05:01 AM
Twitter is a powerful business instrument. In Eastern part of the world and Europe Twitter is not that much popular, but in States a lot of business is involved in it. Companies use twitter for free for their commercial purposes. Elon Musk plan to oblige them to pay for this instrument. I find it that simple. There is nothing to do with dogecoin or cryptocurrency at all. Regular users will continue to use it for free, as he promised. But companies will have to share their income now.

Indeed twitter is a very powerful advertising platform for tons of businesses and projects out there be it crypto related or not(although at the moment I see crypto and NFTs taking over the majority of traffic there). And yes, Elon never announced anything yet about utilizing doge on anything related to twitter. I reckon he may even create a new token for twitter to utilize for itself. I wonder though what will be his basis on measuring which businesses or individuals need to pay some "tax" of some sort and which are the ones that don't have to.
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Potential to Drop in the $32k Area on: May 07, 2022, 06:22:44 AM
Yep, bitcoin right now doesn't look good. I think we may go as low as 34,400 something then 30-33k range. But I'm not so sure yet though. What I think is that there definitely be a huge jump up one of these days. Still looking at shorter time frame to get some idea where we are about to go and with a couple of confirmations, I may start opening long positions or short positions again. By the way, great prediction. I hope the people who saw this earlier were able to take advantage of this and gain a few profits.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Standard of living on: May 07, 2022, 04:58:48 AM
The prices of goods and services are increasing everywhere in the world, inflation being the major reason why, the physical and political war in Ukraine is also compounding issues for some specific countries, as we know if prices of commodities are high which they are, people will spend more money to buy the goods they need and pay for the services they want. Standard of living on the other hand is like a general term to quantify the economic well-being of people in any country, meaning if the prices of goods and services are high, people would be able to afford very little goods and services and that will make the standard of living to drop generally, and that also goes vice versa.

So i would like to know what the standard of living is like in your country now compared to five years ago. Was there any sharp difference in the standard of living pre pandemic and now. If there is a great fall in the standard of living in your country, have there been any move by the government and employers of labor to alleviate the sufferings of people. People who live in Ukraine, if you don't mind, i think a lot of people would want to know what it is like there too since the war began.

Everything has definitely changed sharply from bad to worse in just a short span of 5 years which became even more difficult with the emergence of the covid virus and the war between Russia and Ukraine. Not to mention the natural disasters that took place within those 5 years that have really pinned us down. Even the government is struggling more than it used to in supporting the affected places by these natural disasters mostly the people, their livestock, farms, businesses and so on that has negatively affected the economy. Heck, even the places that were not struck by the natural disasters are struggling with the lack of jobs specially at the times of pandemic when most of the businesses were shut down. Right now, only those that are quite resourceful or have careers that enables them to work freely despite the pandemic are having an easier life than the rest. The others, still suffering. At least though, the lockdowns are not that strict anymore enabling most of the businesses to operate and open up job vacancies for others. But still, the inflation is very difficult.
15  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [report]Rov V Wade overturned on: May 06, 2022, 06:55:40 AM
Abortion is such a sensitive topic specially to the people that are morally seeing it as wrong. But in my opinion, people should be given the right to do what they want since it is their body. That is if the reasoning is indeed right. But then again, unborn children also has the right to be born. I really think it depends on the perspective and where the person grew up like the environment, tradition and culture they were exposed in as to how they may see this either wrong or right. Either way, I think that with a good reason, I think it should be allowed.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doge Future after Elon Musk Buy Twitter ? on: May 06, 2022, 04:15:53 AM
Of course it's all speculation until it's done, these are just usually FOMO and to those who may hooked are the victim. Of course it's a two edged sword, it may make or hurt you. We may never know that tbh but it's for sure a laughable stuff if doge flipped Bitcoin, it should be written in history books that a meme coin replaced a revolutionary coin like Bitcoin.

Well, there are a lot that are already regretting their decisions right now, lol. Specially those that are trading on leverage and even more so for those that do high leverage trading. But hey, each to his own. As you say, make or break. Shiba investors have raked in tons of profits so gambling on doge is not so unreasonable. Just hope that people only invested or used 3-15%(depending on the capital size of course) of their total capital on buying or trading doge  so it wouldn't hurt that much to lose them or to make it easier to bear waiting the storm out for spot positions. TBH though, if the price goes even further down from what it currently is, I might also consider making a gamble on it on spot.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop phishing: what is it, and how is my cryptocurrency at risk? on: May 06, 2022, 03:39:11 AM
Well that depends what kind of airdrop are you talking about. About half year ago i got a lot of money from IMX and GODS airdrops. Best airdrops however are for already owning something, they are not click and claim for everyone.

Also coinbase gave some for free at least while ago.

But sure, there's so much phishing going on that newbies should just stay away if they don't know what they are doing.

I agree. I have also joined airdrops that are intended for users of a crypto that have been having big transactions like a compensation for all the fees you've paid and for the long time support. There are others as well like what you have mentioned that gives a good amount of aidrops when you are a holder of a specific token/asset. Such a bummer though that I missed those airdrops that you mentioned which were IMX, GODS and the one on coinbase. I guess we cannot just ignore the potential of aidrops then but instead just be more cautious and picky.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop phishing: what is it, and how is my cryptocurrency at risk? on: May 05, 2022, 03:05:31 PM
Airdrops nowadays aren't really that worth the effort and risk. I suggest that newbies stay clear from all this crap. While there are legit airdrops out there most gives only a few $ or only gives prizes to those top inviters/referrers which is pretty unfair for those that are non influencers or does not own a community that would use his/her invites/referrals. So listen here newbies, YOU are basically doing CHEAP if not FREE LABOR for these people doing airdrops. Save yourself from the worries, risks and hassle. Don't join airdrops. Do something more productive with your time.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: Argentinian Government Ready to Take Advantage of Crypto Holder on: May 05, 2022, 01:53:47 PM
We can't blame the government. The major focus of any country is to generate money from its people. How is this possible, levy tax over the people. Atleast Argentinian government is making plans for the taxation. However this can't be made immediately, so the focus is good with short term changes. Already India have put 30% tax which is very big and limit people from using it.

Indeed we cannot blame the government for such actions since every citizen has the obligation to contribute towards its country and this is done by taxing us. Taxes is what fuels the country to run and improve. Although some countries do not see much improvement due to corruption, it still does help a bit. But main point is that as a citizen of our country we must not avoid our responsibility towards our country. And for the country, it would be best if the taxes imposed aren't too unreasonable as the 30% tax in India as what you have mentioned. This is just crossing the line.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where Bitcoin has been googled the most? on: May 05, 2022, 12:19:30 PM
I don't believe the people of El Salvador were forced to adopt Bitcoin. They have the option to use their local Fiat as they do with Bitcoin and if you say they they are continually making research to understand Bitcoin more which leads to what is presented in the chat, I'd agree and as for Nigeria, we do know that the Government has not been able to provide the enabling economy for the ever-growing youths to thrive hence the surge into cryptocurrency so no surprise there to see Nigerian on the top of that list.

Bukele may have not directly forced the people but the people or businesses who denied acceptance of bitcoin as payment have obviously been put in huge social pressure since most have agreed into this "new thing." And the reason is because "he himself made a grandiose promise to his citizens that adopting Bitcoin would digitize the economy, decrease dependence on the U.S. dollar, lower remittance fees(which accounts for about 20% of the country’s gross domestic product) and drive investment." With these, people would have more likely had no choice but to follow the crowd either for the hope of a better business return or for the sake of not being singled out by the majority.

And yeah, with the current circumstance of the Nigerian people, they really don't have that much of a choice but to adapt into the changing times or to diversify their methods to make ends meet. It would be nice if the government supported this and made some free seminars to teach the youth about the opportunities that this industry has to offer.
