Yes, that is a very good PSU with high efficiency.
Btw KNC warned not to use HX850 as it supplies too much current and it can kill your miner, but I think AX850 is a safe choice.
Do you have it or you plan on buying it?

If I were you I will get the recommended by KNC: Coolermaster V850. I got 2 and they are good.
1002  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 36BTC in tx fees - How to work with blockchain.info? on: November 09, 2013, 09:06:15 PM
Can you please give a link or a screenshot at the exact page where all the fees totalling 36BTC are listed.

There are no fees listed. A fee is calculated as output_amount - input_amount.

I'm just trying to understand why this block has so high fees?
Was it a few people that paid it or a lot and why?
1003  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 09, 2013, 09:00:20 PM
Thanks. One more thing. Its complicated to plug the power supply to the knc saturn? (Since im a complete newbie in asics)
Also, what is the recommended/cheapest power supply to this device?

Not really.
On one end you have the power lead that goes into the socket
On the other end you have 1 molex connector that goes into the Beaglebone card and 4 PCI-E connectors that go into each asic module/card.

Don't get the cheapest. Quality PSU don't depreciate much so you can later sell it for a good price + it has better efficiency than the cheap ones + better reliability + quieter.
Look for Gold or Platinum rated Cooler Master, Corsair, Seasonic.

1004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 09, 2013, 08:46:29 PM
How do this miners work?
We have to connect them via ethernet directly to the router and configure via ip or usb?
no usb, ethernet to network...
sniff out the ip
logon the gui.

Hmmm, found this on Blockchain.info/faq:

So, if i purchase a saturn. I plug my power supply and connect it via RJ45 to my internet switch and manage the settings (pool, etc) on the ip?

Exactly. I have mine connected to a cheap TP-Link switch, that is connected to my ISP router Smiley
I even opened ports and setup dyndns inside the router, so I can access them from anywhere via web gui and SSH using a hostname Wink
1005  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 36BTC in tx fees - How to work with blockchain.info? on: November 09, 2013, 08:43:04 PM
I found that transaction, but is there a way to easily see who paid these 36BTC in fees? I mean the Bitcoin addresses.
Sort by fee?

All the addresses listed as inputs did.

Can you please give a link or a screenshot at the exact page where all the fees totalling 36BTC are listed.

Thank you.
1006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 09, 2013, 08:25:07 PM
blockchain.info will refund to the sender after 36-48 hours or so if no miner is kind enough to include it in a block.

Troll much, or are you just misinformed?
You have a different answer?
Please utter it.
2 bashes now on Paladin69, (who was nice enough to answer)
...without ANY explanation....
**** Thanks guys...
I really feel informed now...

The easiest option is to continue to wait.  No, an "automatic refund" will never happen.

The only other option, which requires a good bit of technical skill, is for the sender to manually create a new transaction that spends the same inputs, but also includes a tx fee, and hope a miner picks that one up instead (which will then invalidate the original transaction).

I have a payout from Bitminter that is still unconfirmed after 17 hours.
And I have no explanation why my previous 4 payouts (1 per day) have confirmed in less than an hour, but this one is being treated different.
What changed?
1007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 36BTC in tx fees - How to work with blockchain.info? on: November 09, 2013, 08:04:36 PM
If you scroll down you see every transaction. At the top right for every transcation you can see the fees.

Example from the second transaction:
(Fee: 0.0001 BTC - Size: 258 bytes) 2013-11-08 18:43:12

Quick find for the transaction you want:
Ctrl+F -> search for "fee: 3"

Here is a link to the transaction
https://blockchain.info/tx/465fd256ebb68c72df166f31d5f5d7e5eb61de4c1729ed0e6f4e83079a4d9ccc

There are quite a few inputs in that transaction though.

Still, that's a huge fee. Like almost, 20%.
Yeah. What I meant was that the amount of inputs means it's a lot more work to go through all the adresses to find the owner.

I found that transaction, but is there a way to easily see who paid these 36BTC in fees? I mean the Bitcoin addresses.
Sort by fee?
1008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / 36BTC in tx fees - How to work with blockchain.info? on: November 09, 2013, 06:41:52 PM
So in the pool I am mining I got paid double the usual amount for a block we found, which made me check why.
It turns out the block has 36.71549047 BTC in tx fees:
https://blockchain.info/block/0000000000000004b5916721388de1d48fa49d633b19f5e3dedf7716ac9a2dd5

Can anyone write an easy to follow tutorial (for idiots) on how am I supposed to interpret all the data on that website.

I'm trying to find the address of the guy/guys who paid so much in tx fees, but I don't even know where to look?

Thanks.

I looked at youtube videos of jupiters. these things are much quieter than a BFL 60, right?

They are as quiet as 6 fans at 1350rpm can be. So yeah - not silent, but rather quiet Wink
I sleep 2 feet from my machines.... not bad at all....

I wish I can sleep next to them too  Cheesy
I'm a very light sleeper, so I can't fall asleep even next to a laptop.

Plus, mining is fun. Not all profits are tangible. If I find a way to lay my hands on one of these machines, I'll run the bitch until it's costing me twice what it brings in in coin.
Man, you are so full of shit. You haven't invested a penny in asic hardware and you come out with statements like this. You are living in a dream world, with zero skin in the game.

And the fact you can't come up with a few grand to invest suggests you are a loser, with no real business skills, just a lot of talk.

Why don't you sell everything you have and buy some hardware, then we might be able to take a single word you say seriously? Otherwise, take your soap box and fuck off.

Good thing you invested a lot of cash in asic hardware with no proof and you are unable to solve your problems and cry like a bitch.

So final count was 5 (FIVE) people with problems right now out of the ~3000 customers or whatever was the number. Good job KnC i say!

Come one don't be so naive - there are a lot more than 5 people, who had or still have problems. Just head over to KNC forum and see for yourself.

1013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 09, 2013, 04:10:03 AM
if i had to guess, they are probably producing units right now, getting ready for mass shipment in a couple of weeks.  I think people are in for a rude awakening after this small difficulty shift.  People that order using BTC now will probably stand to gain 2 or 3 BTC from the venture.

People are betting on the ever increasing price of Bitcoin, which to be honest I started to believe in too lately.
Well not forever increasing, but I can definitely see the potential for a price of over $1000.

2 years ago I deposited £2000 into Intersango and was a mouse click away from buying 1000 bitcoins, but decided against it, because back then I genuinely thought that was the big crash. You have no idea how many times I've imagined what would it be if only I were braver.

In life it is rarely that you regret an action, it is the inactions that we regret mostly, so next time you are presented with a choice I say go for it even if there is some chance you might regret it later. Because if you chicken out and decide not to do it I bet you will regret it much more later Wink

1015  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra announces its first ASIC - Hash-Rate greater than 500 GH/s on: November 09, 2013, 12:08:50 AM
since only one other asic company has so far done anything close to what hashfast is attempting to do - namely, KncMiner - you can only hold them up as an example of a company that did get everything right.  they executed almost flawlessly.  they delivered within days of when they said they would.. and had everything ready to go... the chips, the software, the hardware, the boxes, the logistics... and even the hosting (a few days late but still done).  When people as smart and hungry as hashfast missed their dates, it makes me feel very sorry for them.. but it also makes me feel even more appreciative of what knc managed to do.  (yes, i have knc systems as well... i have a very heterogeneous mining operation)

KNC were good, but far from perfect.

The good news is that november Jupiter and Saturn's are no longer available.

According to the website.

Jupiter are available. Only 49 units left.

where you see that?

Add 5000 to you basket.

once again, this number means nothing. its not literally 49 left.....

I know that Smiley

1018  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: KnCMiner Jupiter Miner First Impressions on: November 08, 2013, 11:28:35 PM
That is weird that there would be so much variance in reported power.

Most units are in the ~600W +/- 10% range and then there are some >700W?  That can't be explained by differences in power supply efficiency.

There are PSUs with 92% efficiency and there are PSUs with 80% efficiency, so that might be the case.

Just got my RMA, has KNC changed their tune? They sent me a UPS label and are paying for shipping. Does anyone know what shipping speed and service I am looking at from Australia to Sweden?

I was offered free prepaid return label on 1st November, so I guess they have been doing that for a while.

Calling O'rama a liar repeatedly when he's just relaying messages makes you look retarded.
It's getting really old too. There are entirely too many pages of it.

Please tell me that is not directed at Bargraphics?  Roll Eyes
