1001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Play or Invest : 1% House Edge : Banter++ on: August 06, 2013, 12:45:12 PM
Just-Dice is close to 4,000 BTC in profit as I'm typing this.  That's the highest I've ever seen it.  Congratulations to the investors, looks like they've made a decent return quick.
1002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] SCRYPT HARD FORK BLOCK ON 256000 on: August 06, 2013, 12:42:29 PM
I am creating a new fork of Bitcoin that will use Scrypt for hashing on block 256000.
The initial difficulty for scrypt will be 1 to give miners a chance at reliving the good old days of Bitcoin.

This is because the bitcoin network is going to be owned by China with ASICMINER, AVALON, BTCGARDEN, etc. Going back to GPUs would strength Bitcoin and protect the miners - the working class of Bitcoin.

We need to get all the users, miners, merchants on board. Please contact your mining pool and tell them to switch to Scrypt on block 256000. Point your GPUs at a scrypt miner. Get merchants, websites, casinos, stores to update to the hard fork.

Together, we can reclaim the glory of Bitcoin again.

Good one.  Some of the ASIC companies, and investers could be slightly unhappy if that happened.
1003  Economy / Gambling / Re: Predictious.com | The Premier Bitcoin Prediction Market | Trade & Win Bitcoins! on: August 06, 2013, 12:36:41 PM

Looking better now, site seems a bit more saturated with available bets.  Still seeing big spreads and low volume, but that's probably to be expected for a while.
1004  Economy / Gambling / Re: Boot52 instant play poker, no downloads or registration! on: August 06, 2013, 12:32:20 PM
Hi! Check out the new poker site I created: http://boot52.nl. Boot52 offers free online poker right from your browser, no downloads or registration required. And of course, bitcoin tables are also available for those who prefer a little more excitement!

My goal was to create an 'instant gratification' poker site where even non-bitcoiners could get started right away with play money. My hope is to get some of the recreational players out there involved in bitcoin. Some features:

* Anonymous: no annoying registration forms to fill out.
* Instant play: just click play!
* Works on most mobile devices (tested on iPad, FireFox, and Chrome)
* Built with HTML5 WebSockets and CSS3. No flash or Java plugins required.
* Nearly instant deposits and withdraws.

Texas Hold'em ring games are currently offered, but the software is still under active development so please let me know what features you'd like to see in future! Pot-Limit Omaha, Sit-N-Go's, and 'provably fair shuffling' are next on my todo list, but I'm open to other ideas if they're popular enough. https://boot52.nl

Another poker game site.  I might check this out, but I haven't been a player for a long time.  That's pretty good if it works with mobile devices, not sure how many others have that yet.  Good luck with this.
1005  Economy / Gambling / Re: >>Insanity Dice<< Legit 60x2 [Great Specs] [Trusted Hosts] [Bils Paid Out] on: August 06, 2013, 12:29:01 PM
You had me at "[Bils Paid Out]'

How many bets have made at Insanity Dice so far?

If the missing word is "you" then the answer is "none".

If it is "been" then I have no idea, but am guessing "less than ten" would cover it.

At Insanity Dice transparency is our number one priority, that is why we keep the record of all bets hidden from the public.  If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to e-mail me at blobsrs@gmail.com

Great job, sounds like you got this planned out well.  Privacy as well as transparency.

It's either that or "I", but only the site op could answer that one for them.  I see you haven't taken the plunge at insanity dice yet.

Let's just take it for gospel that Avalon is getting $200M in VC to compete with BFL which is at best a $30-$40M GROSS sale company.

Do you realize that sales would have to be in the billions for a VC to even see the return of their principal, let alone profit/interest?

The only thing that would make since is if there's one or two too many zeros in that $200M figure.

Therefore, I see only two possibilities: Somebody fucked up the research or Bitcoin's being played.

Well in the real world people don't need to see 200% returns in a few weeks.  If they can sell their stake for 50% more in 1 year that is a return on their principal plus a profit.  P/S can regularly be 1 or higher.
1008  Economy / Services / Re: Get paid weekly for your signature on: August 05, 2013, 07:42:27 AM
Hi all, this weeks payouts will be coming shortly. Thanks for your patience.

Thanks for letting us now, appreciated.
1009  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-08-04 WSJ: Famed Trader Joe Lewis Backs Bitcoin on: August 05, 2013, 07:40:35 AM
fool, why not buy bitcoins directly?

Well liquidity is fairly low right now.  Should only get better from here and hopefully more buy directly in the future.
1010  Economy / Speculation / Re: xpost from Press: Joe Lewis plans to invest $200M into Avalon on: August 05, 2013, 07:22:46 AM
Seems like good news, is it possible to buy Avalon stock at any of the exchanges?
1011  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-08-04 WSJ: Famed Trader Joe Lewis Backs Bitcoin on: August 05, 2013, 07:12:43 AM
Anyway, hoping this is BS so these stock prices will correct.
Is it affecting the price of the bitcoin mining stocks or something else?
1012  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiBet's Roulette Launch Race! + Free BTC Giveaway! on: August 04, 2013, 11:04:03 PM

I am surprised nothing like this is stickied?

I think it deserves a sticky, similar message, if not the same one is found in a stickied thread in the currency exchange section already.

0.00006725 (-16.4%)

How high of a range would you guess the next difficulty to hit?
1015  Economy / Securities / Re: CasinoBitco.in - Raising Bankroll for Football! [IPO] [BTC-TC] [BITFUNDER] on: August 03, 2013, 01:16:09 PM
This looks tempting, nice graphs you got.  On the other hand, that's a good point someone made about legal risk.
1016  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Screw CampBx and their ridiculous Dwolla regulations on: August 03, 2013, 01:04:43 PM

Traded there for several months...
And I can't see CampBX surviving in present form.

I made a trade or two in the past.  I'm not sure they're even trying to upkeep it at this point though.  Keeping us informed might be useful.
1017  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BTC.sx - Leveraged trading made easy on: August 03, 2013, 01:00:03 PM
I just opened an account and i dont feel comfortable without stops and limits. Margin trading NEEDS these options when trading because there is no way someone can sleep happy without stops.

Also a public trades history would be nice, and of course an orderbook

Nothing wrong with stops and limits.  These are mandatory though, maybe they can improve it and let the users set their own.
1018  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Videos4BTC - Girls + Video Clips [Updated - NSWF] on: August 03, 2013, 12:56:23 PM
Is this basically a place for those bitcoingonewild girls to sell vids?
1019  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] Deprived Mining Speculation (DMS) on: August 03, 2013, 12:39:20 PM
New difficulty 37,392,766 (+19.6%)

SELLING dividend will be paid on sunday, ~0.0053 (+/- PURCHASE sells and investment gains)

Decent jump, and we can expect them to continue at near that rate I bet.  Mining will get something around .000067 dividends at that difficulty.
1020  Other / Off-topic / Re: Any Legit ways to make money online? on: August 03, 2013, 12:04:53 PM
My parents have just let me know that they wont be paying for my rent next semester at school so I will need to make up the money. I will be getting a job but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas where I could make up the other 150-200 a month I need to pay for rent and food. I would prefer no bullshit survey websites that pay 10 cents for an hour survey, but I guess all ideas are appreciated. It needs to be something I can do in my freetime since I will be balancing school and a job. Thanks in advance!

Are you good at writing?  Maybe a blog or writing articles for someone else or a company could work.
