You'll only get screwed if you don't know what you invest in, investing in something you don't actually know is far more than a blind investment. Pyramid schemes that were introduced as investments, trading, mining, etc. by these fraudulent people just to hide their motives are the thing that kills adoption most of the time for crypto. Let us all thank Satoshi Nakamoto and the people that made us realize what Bitcoin is today and the future that may comes.
Those who don't know about bitcoin and the cons of bitcoin only give negative sentiment which of course will lead early users to leave bitcoin.
I have often found negative sentiment towards bitcoin that says that bitcoin is just Ponzi husks, a pyramid scheme that only does harm.
That's always the thing, they leave thinking it's nothing like what they've experience from these fraudsters. Some people I know that asked me as well about Bitcoin after they invested on a pyramid scheme and got scammed have been on that situation, they received messages from unknown people on social media and offers them passive income doing nothing but in the end the money got rugged. This totally hinders adoption in the process.

The first impression of btc is that you will get screwed by false people that it is a pyramid scheme. The more you study the net, the more you'll fall in love with it. BTC brings that power of freedom and no totalitarian state is going to take that away! That's my thought today about btc.

1023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hypothetical Question on: February 28, 2023, 12:55:53 PM
If you were told the outcome of a soccer match, hours before the match was scheduled, and you were assured that it would 100% win, how much would you be willing to bet on it? Assuming it was a 100% can’t lose situation.

Assuming you had millions of dollars that you could put on the match, where would you place the bets? Bookies often limit players. How could one successfully place millions of dollars in bets without drawing up suspicions or having their money frozen? Just curious.
I think I'll definitely check the legitimacy first on who have told me about that outcome, I probably would bet about 40-50% of my portfolio. Assuming I have millions on my account and can place bets like that then I'd say I will diversify my bets rather than putting it on a single bet, it still a gamble and even if someone said so, that for sure isn't 100%.
1024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 27, 2023, 02:48:15 PM
Congrats go to Dame on his career night with one of the highest single game scoring performances in NBA history. The craziest thing about the story though is how the NBA pulled a vial of his blood immediately following the game for blood testing. Dame said it absolutely killed one of the greatest moments of his career and was the first time he ever had to give blood for a PED test.
It's not surprising; it seems like that's the current rule that the NBA has adopted. I still remember when Mitchell dropped a career-high 71 points, and he was also tested after the game. Congratulations to Dame, who had fun with the lack of defense of the Rockets. He couldn't miss his 3-point shots and is now second to Klay Thompson for most 3-pointers made in a single game. Lillard made 13, while Thompson made 14.
Now, it's like players are making histories one after the other. I don't know what comes to the league that they would test players after having such kind of performances, they should have done it beforehand if they wanted to make sure on everything.

It's hard to filter any ads, unless they are known from the company that the ad is indeed a scam. However, it is not done automatically as you would have big problem by that. It needs to be manual. Doing that manually would cost them time and money. So I think what they are doing is just to put the responsibility to users to be aware from such fraud, just like what our forum is currently doing. I see nothing wrong with that, I believe they should display messages like: "ads may be fraud, so be careful."
It's really a petty that Google's moderation is so poor that therey'sa little to no way to end this growing problem. This isn't only apparent in gambling but on all sectors, imagine being the huge and most used search engine that scammers are flocking to get that phishing victims. I wonder if AI can even prevent this in the future but with this kind of problem I do think that it might be the go-to solution or people should be aware on all things they see on the net.
1026  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: February 25, 2023, 02:48:43 PM
I was watching a streamer today and they asked in the chat if anyone heard what happened on Rollbit today? Then they said a certain slot paid out 2000x on every roll. Is this true? Did you guys catch the error before losing a ton to people who took advantage?

2000x payout on every roll? If it is real story, there must be a glitch in that slot and high likely any account tried to take an advantage from the glitch will be hold/locked by the system once the casino or provider notice about this unusual thing. Did you heard any other information especially which slot they are talking about so maybe we can check it through the official provider's website or the social media accounts. I'm sure such any provider will announce such a big issue officially.
I didn't see a specific slot named or I wasn't paying attention when it was said. It might have been a bs story cause no one from Rollbit has said anything here so far. I would like to know if it is or isn't true myself, guess we will wait and see if someone posts about it.
Rollbit confirmed it through their Twitter account a few hours ago so it really was, and rollbit has also taken steps to handle it and confirmed all their funds are safe and rollbit also didn't mention the game provider or slot name, https://twitter.com/rollbitcom/status/1629221627362701315
thankfully this could be detected right away because if not big losses could be experienced by rollbit
That was a close call, I wonder how minimal it was, maybe the exploiter didn't make it fast and the Rollbit team noticed it immediately. Kudos to the team for taking the necessary measures. It might have been catastrophic if it haven't mitigated earlier, for sure the exploiter is auto banned on the site.
1027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Game that you suffer consistent losses but still keep playing? on: February 25, 2023, 01:45:07 PM
I keep coming back because of its cool animation and early payout. This attracts me to play more because it gives me false hope that I can win bigger amount on next spin.
If your purpose is just to buy some time over your stay online then I think that's fine but if it drains your fund and keeps going then I think you need to stop it. Think about other things to put first like your everyday needs and make your gambling lessen, it will not be fine in the long run to be honest.

I'm also getting drained on slot, crash and dice game but whenever lossing keeps on increasing I totally let it rest for a day or two.
1028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My $300 bet won $417,000 on: February 25, 2023, 11:44:47 AM
I think I got similar experience on the recent FIFA World Cup 2022 but it was rather a free bet involving NFT. I won a sum of about $7000 to predict almost all the brackets and the winners up to the FIFA champion Argentina. It might have been in the past but I think you're still winning, so congratulations on that.
1029  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [NEWS] GCrypto is now available to selected users on: February 25, 2023, 09:19:34 AM
1030  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Thoughts sa Exchange P2P transaction on: February 24, 2023, 07:32:49 PM
1031  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Books for trading, suggestions pls on: February 24, 2023, 01:24:37 PM
You can use this website https://z-lib.is/ to search and download all the trading tools in pdf files for free. I can’t recommend you specific books because it vary on what indicators you want to focus. That website store a lot of trading books that will be helpful for you.

By any chance, Do you try enrolling on free trading course from Udemy. They have some good trading courses in there that will save you time instead when you read books manually.
I think this is the best alternative for books and this is a great addition to learn more on other indicators to master. Thanks for this! I think most free trading courses on Udemy just dive onto the basics, I think it's just for authors to have their own contents and to get students to enroll on their paid courses.
1032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP future looks shaky and uncertain on: February 24, 2023, 09:43:12 AM
XRP was one of the compliant cryptocurrency for ISO 20022 and if lawsuit comes to light for XRP I think that will likely make XRP fine again. It's still one of the favorites of banks after all and I think huge investors on XRP are huge institutions too.
1033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one is easier to make bets on? on: February 24, 2023, 07:18:47 AM
Do sport like football betting and MMA betting carries the same risks or one is more profitable to bet on than the other? Which one is more likely to easily predict than the other? Also, I need a platform where football prediction is certain, is there any of you guys using any reliable platform?
That depends on your analytical and research skill on both sports and I think a little bit of luck can be applied too. If there's one that profitable over the other then I think one will not be flocked anymore to bet on. Nothing is easy to be predicted, even professionals tend to have hard time on it, they get wrong most of the time too. The secret is to learn on those losses and wrong predictions.
1034  Economy / Speculation / Re: If history repeats itself: 2023 vs 2019 on: February 24, 2023, 04:04:10 AM
Have you take a look at the 2015 chart? I think that's the similar thing rather than the 2019 one.

Yes I have. The implication would be remaining in a range between $15K and $30K for the rest of year. There's nothing really exciting to provide fractal wise imo, it'd look pretty boring. Also while it's possible I personally find it unlikely. There was a lot more uncertainty back then in Bitcoin's infancy and it took a lot of time (11 months) to rebuild confidence in the market. 2019 rebound changed the game imo.

The reality is neither a 2015 nor 2019 style consolidation or recovery has confirmed itself in the charts yet as it's only been a few months since the potential bottom. If price where to get rejected by $30K and head towards $15K then rest assured I would open a new thread to suggest this possibility, rather than the idea of heading $10K. But so far, there is little to suggest this outcome is that likely.
Well, I think you're correct, the fundamentals back then was not quite strong compare to what we've seen today but aren't the regulations of SEC and others kinda looks the same as it was the uncertainty before? I mean SEC is throwing around on things that may create FUD in the market these days just because of that FTX meltdown, e.g., staking rumors to be banned, stablecoins issues as unregistered security etc. I think May or June will decide this if it breaks above the strong resistance at $25k, for now the sentiment is still on the bears side.
1035  Economy / Speculation / Re: If history repeats itself: 2023 vs 2019 on: February 23, 2023, 08:37:19 PM
Have you take a look at the 2015 chart? I think that's the similar thing rather than the 2019 one. Not that I mind it because in the long term we will see all time high once again, it's just a matter of patience and your tenacity to make it alive in this bear market. Not always optimistic but always ready on both scenarios.
1036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Ways to Make Big Money at the Casino — Without Gambling on: February 23, 2023, 02:09:01 PM
Lol when I read the title of this thread I thought that the words I can read is damn serious and can earn in legitimate ways but smiling while reading those crazy methods.

I think kidnapping the owner's daughter is funniest and interesting but the thing is, if it has lot of chaperone around them that will be a different story. You need a full proof plan to do it. These are totally not for the faint hearted and I don't think this is a good thing to do unless you are on your worst to get that money.
Hard to do this especially if you don't have a team since this need proper team work and excellent plan before you can make this plan to succeed. For sure those people are well guarded and random people cannot easily penetrate with them especially if they are newbie criminals.
The title was a total clickbait, I thought it was a legitimate way of making money on a casino. Not totally agreeing on this method but all of them are pretty difficult tbh. If they are guarded it's totally a different story in real life than what we see on action movies, it's totally hard to penetrate but with careful planning I think it's possible.

Now, in all of the Five, which of this do you think is the funniest and most interesting?

For me, I think Number 1 is  Grin that Carleo guy is such a clown  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
lets dicuss guys ..

It's a dream for some but it's likely a hopeless one this time until we get there, I'm not saying it's not possible but there's too many possibilities. Who knows Elon who could drive the currency to move the price will suddenly announce it will be used on his one or two companies e.g., twitter, tesla, spaceX etc.

if it was a huge bet that should have been thousand of dollars.

I probably wouldnt go that far on slots because Im more into sportsbetting rather than slots. Like I set aside decent amount of balances for sportsbetting then I got profit from it then uses around $100-200 every 3-4 days to play some slots that I found interesting after watching those gambling streamer so yeah winning this while I was dazing around having some fun feels pretty good
Slot games are really interesting to play I must confess, but then, it is kind of hard to win, I can't remember when I played slot games last, for several months now, my only gamble have been sports betting, I find sports betting a better and easier way to win some money, most especially if you have an extensive knowledge on the team that is playing and on you wish to bet on, it makes betting really easy as you don't have to think really hard before choosing a team.

One can make winning on slot in the first stages of play, but if that gambler continue to play for long, they will lose far more than they win, because the house always wins.
In my experience and I guess most do as well but slots are only good or you're feeling lucky when it's your first time or you haven't played a long time. It's really hard to win but it depends on the multiplier you've got but surely a lower one will get you easy win but would rob your balance when you lose. It's still a game of chance and sportsbetting is definitely not the same so for some it will be easy for them.
1040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going to make mma predictions blog (for gamblers) on: February 22, 2023, 02:16:31 PM
I don't see any point you need to create predictions blog, you can use this thread as your daily predictions and it has 100% transparency since we will know if you've edited your prediction or not. In your blog, you can easily change or delete it, so there's no way we will know except we've screenshot it. But you can blame if the screenshot was photoshopped and it will bring a new drama. After all, this forum is the best option if you're want to being honest.
He can use a forum like this or a messaging platform like discord, slack or telegram for his followers to be updated on his predictions. Unless, he want a video for views on his predictions if that is what he's aiming at the end, I've seen this kind of trick among content creators these days. I believe so that this one or another unmoderated thread is a perfect one for his predictions.
