Is of no doubt the market has already turned green and ETH surpasses 1.9k, though I was having this feeling to enter the market now that we have full confidence that we are no longer going dip. But I am a bit confused if this could be a bear trap, what do you think of the market is there any good analyst to give accurate results on what would happen next or to know if this is a bear trap.
That would be literally every pump of any solid alt market. Honestly, if you were new to the market, you should've bought during the dip, not when it was going up already. Looking at the chart the market was generally on the positive through out the past half a year, heck it actually grew instead, so I wouldn't be surprised if it suddenly broke down. Seeing as it's a stable growth though and not exactly a sudden pump, there should be higher chances of it stabilizing instead. If you were shorting then it doesn't really matter whether it's a bear trap or not, you'd always adjust for what you need. If long, then just buy and maybe DCA. You're not thinking for the next few weeks or months anyway, it'd probably take a year at least before you come back and decide whether to sell or not. |

Everyone should be proud of what they do in as much as they are making a living from it i don't see any reason why they should be angry whenever they are being referred as an addicts gambler, an addict is not a crime but just to show how dedicated they are with their gambling lifestyle at this point people sees it as someone who is an addict or a chronic gambler.
What now? I think you're mistaking dedication to addiction? I don't mind people accepting that they gamble, it's relatively normal imo, what I do mind is people mistaking "addiction" as something good. It's not. Even an addiction to religion would give you praise, you'd simply be called an insane fanatic. There's a line between that and dedication imo. Is it possible for a casino to go bankrupt because a player gets a very big win?
I think maybe that's hard to happen if we look at casinos that are already big and well known. But suppose there is a new casino, and there are some players who are very good at playing, so they can win continuously, can the casino go bankrupt? or do they already have an algorithm or a way so players can't keep winning?
Don't casinos usually have a limit for wins? If regardless of that, the user somehow manages to keep on winning then they'd either try to push a nonexistent "bug" and only award a part of their funds, or just straight out ban him for "illegal" activity. In most cases, casinos go bankrupt because of some dumb business decision making, and not due to the player. There's safety nets with regards to the limits that a player can set with each bet after all. |

I reckon it varies from altcoin to altcoin? Though if it's a really bad coin and the hype just got to it, then a day or two is more than enough for it to suddenly dump. If it was a good coin though, and some just hyped it up to profit a bit but still have a solid group of investors on it, then I reckon a week or two would be the frame before it goes down again (on the first pump that is).
The thing is it's really hard to identify good altcoins in the first place, so I suggest just selling them the moment you see a good enough profit margin from your initial investment. It's not too late to reinvest again anyway if you see things are going pretty well (in some cases, probably.)

A loss in sports betting is categorized on two imo, lack of research, whether it be about the game, the teams involved, etc, and the other being luck. The first is pretty understandable, OP touches upon it as well. The second? OP seems to acknowledge that luck exists in sports as well. While it may be rare, instances where underdogs suddenly became champions because of luck isn't that odd imo. Refusing the existence of luck is like refusing the existence of unseen variables, like say a hidden sickness of a player, sudden improvement by their benched players, stuff like that. Well thats about the game itself, betting? The usual stuff. Bankroll management and stuff like that. |

I mean, they're called "addicts" for a reason. If there was a thought process behind their behavior other than "trying to win", I'd consider them something like a rehab patient, trying to overpower the former reasoning and making it so that something can actually overpower it. It in most cases is impulse, which all addicts are known to have. Gambling addicts is something similar to a state of a person in withdrawal imo, they see nothing during that state but only what they want. After a few hours of that if they still have some semblance of reason then they'd understand what they did, but knowing about it doesn't exactly make it easier to fix it. They can be considered a victim alright, a victim of their own desires. |

Hasn't Twitch issued a ban on all stuff related to gambling? Or was it only applying to putting out referral codes on the stream? Can't really remember, I just know that Twitch did something to limit the influence of what streamers have to spread gambling, and that in itself is already a sign that gambling isn't really going to stay in there imo. And even if there were some aspect of gambling that was still open, I reckon it wouldn't be long before they ban it again. if you could get more information such as how much money each of them earns per day, per week, per month it would be good information, it would make people have a more realistic notion of the size of the importance and influence that each of these guys have in the world of gambling and it can also serve as a source of inspiration for those people who are beginners or who also want to follow the same steps as these guys, it would also be very good if you could get information on how many referrals these guys have in every casino

Twitch is outside of those partnerships so payments wouldn't really be disclosed iirc. Same with the money they get, I don't think Twitch API would reveal such a thing (if OP actually got his data from something like that). Plus, money isn't really needed anymore, just the amount of views is more than enough of a metric. |

What is the possibility of the betting agent getting his money soon/considering the gambler's low-income earnings?
Main question aside, I must say the agent is quite dumb to allow the person to make a loan to gamble. I'm assuming it wasn't under a contract, hence why the guy easily ran away and hid. If he was trying to take advantage of him, a contract should've been 100% necessary. To the question though, I reckon it should be a max of a month, and a minimum of maybe 2 weeks? That should be enough time imo for the debtee to pay his debts, granted he doesn't do the same sht of gambling it all again though. |

Well as much as we want to limit it to topics that are unique or haven't been discussed before is well, one, some users simply just don't search up if the topic has been discussed before already, and two, we can't exactly limit users from creating topics that they want. It's also pretty hard to identify a "unique" topic since after a topic goes under for quite a while, discussion about it is simply forgotten and someone would simply create a new one (an instance of the first case I said). Yap, I like the real live stories of gamblers shared on this forum. Despite being from different parts of the world those stories are highly relatable and the solutions to those of gambling addiction I find effective for those you make the effort to apply them. However, I would suggest if it were possible that rather than new topics being created on the same theme on addiction, could it be just on thread where gambling addiction is discussed? How possible is this? The thread would still be active and it would still pop up at the first page of search reasults.
The possibility of it being buried among other topics is still there. Megathreads were possible because said topics had events that are regularly updated, so the thread stays at the first or second page of the forum. A topic about addiction may stay on top for say a month at max imo, but after that? It's not like it's a guarantee that someone has a story that they can tell every month or two. |

hey thanks for commenting, and yes it's a meme coin lol it's no secret. Is it just another memecoin like the majority of the market, does it intend to help the animal cause? he has! But this is not related to the technology itself, I have no intention of creating the next ETH. Honestly, I just wanted to see if someone without a lot of free time, without resources and without being famous could build something in the crypto market or if it really has become a game of marked cards and only with a lot of money to make the project work. And don't say that it's because there's nothing new in token technology that's going to fail. Day in and day out there's also one of those that becomes hype.

Making your own crypto coin is actually really easy afaik, literally anyone with the tech how and probably a bit of time can make one. To sell it though is another thing. You'd have to burn a hole in your funds, a big one at that, to even see a bit of marketing be effective. And that effectiveness isn't even guaranteed to return whatever you spend. But hey, if your meme coin manages to become a big thing due to some external factor, then funds aren't an issue. The internet will 100% solve that issue for you since they'd do it for free. |

Many people find it difficult to accept who they are and the bad habits that they have, accepting a habit is the first step that will determine if any help offered to you will work. As a gambler, will you find it offensive if you are referred to as a gambling addict? will you easily accept it or try to give excuses like some other people do, saying that they are not addicted to gambling when the signs are clearly there. Do you think identifying as an addicted gambler will make people stereotype you. The answer is different for every gambler here.
Mmm... kind of, yea. I mean I'd accept it if I am, I ain't that blinded, but I'm doing a lot of things to prevent me from being addicted imo. Properly financing my gambling money so that it doesn't affect me financially, scheduling my gambling so I can know my limits, stuff like that. Imo an "addict" is only one if it starts to negatively affect you, mentally and financially. In both cases? I consider myself perfectly fine. If a 3rd party consideration is needed then I'm 100% willing to grab my friend and tell him to judge me. And being identified as an addict will always make people judge you, no matter what kind of addiction it is. I reckon it's only a lot worse if you consider it's a gambling addiction though. |

Such expectations are unrealistic and only occur in the lottery, not in sports betting. Even in sports betting, it would be a chance occurrence, happening only once in every 100 bets. A more realistic expectation would be to aim for increasing their bankroll.
Eh, I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. It is a year after all, it's not like they're trying to go and reach the goal in one bet. While it may seem close to impossible but hey, there's probably a really small chance of them being able to do that. Especially if you take big but calculated risks. Granted that one win is all it takes to ruin it if they're trying to maximize profits but as I said, it's over the span of a year. Can take calculated risks every now and then so no need to rush on their side. What other categories of unrealistic sports betting expectations have you encountered?
In the first category, but rather than in a year, it's more like in a single bet. People expecting to bet like idk, $10 and suddenly win what, $1000 or $10000? Man should've went for lotteries instead. It's pretty dumb but hey, I've known a few people who have that kind of mindset in the past. |

Dumb ass logic and reasoning that's probably filled with a use case who wasn't thinking properly. Calculating odds IS a skill, so both women and men know that, hope that's enough for that. Guilt? While playing a damn slot machine? I reckon people have a lot of better things to think about than that. And about the bragging part, that's just pride talking. Anyone can literally have the same experience, whether it be in gambling, or in fashion of clothing, or whatever. Really the only reason why men prefer to gamble more than women is because, well, men like it more than women. Simple as that. I don't think there's a need to go through the nitty gritty of it. But if we were, then this is only my assumption but it might be because gambling was originally a society filled with men in the first place. That's why the results of what we see now, are well, filled with men gamblers. It's a matter of "norms", which is changing for the most part afaik, but slowly. Well, you can try reaching out to the university he "says" he's part of. That's probably the most straightforward way you can to get hold of him, and to try and make him come forward and talk about the issue face to face. It should technically be taken notice of since it is an "educating" type of thing. It is private though so things might just go the other way around than I expect. As for it being legal, ehh Idk, I don't think it warrants enough grounds to be taken as one. If you want to stay within quora bounds, correct him on every thread he tries to answer to. Though that honestly isn't gonna get so far imo. But hey, if you're dedicated to trying to correct him but within those bounds, that's probably your best bet. |

I'd say in any instance of professionalism, especially in types of games like poker, blackjack, or any gambling-related game really where luck matters more than skill, being a "professional" isn't really a recommendation, heck even if the path was laid out to you I would not do it. Imo there's no "successful" gambler, just a successful talent. The man managed to use whatever money he won from gambling to expand his skills, his paths, and his choices. It may have started with gambling and it may be the only thing they actually do, but they also know how to hire people for the right job. Gambling was just an opportunity that let them do so. 2, am the gambler, actually all gamblers don’t want money, they want the feeling of win money. True, but at the same time money being won is also a huge factor. I reckon what you point out only often happens in cases of rich people? In cases of the poor, it's more like they aren't actually satisfied with what they get. They want more. And the mindset is if it happened once, it can happen again, which is true, but highly unlikely in cases of gambling. |

Lately i been looking into altcoins more and more since I have got some more money in my life and want to make more investments then only in BTC. One thing I was wondering is why nobody yet have created a crypto currency under the name "Merit" yet.  it's many smart people on this forum with a lot of knowledge about things like this and I think it could be a good currency to create. It's not exactly something people would need, or even if we consider it's use case, it's only described in this forum. Outside? It's just a vague word. I doubt as well that someone reputable here would waste the time in actually making one, especially if you consider how it's an empty use case in the long run and is just running on the fact that the forum uses "Merits" to award people if they're ideas were helpful/creative. And tbf, "Merit" in of itself seems pretty vague. A lot of coins use pretty descriptive words of what the coins they have are themed after, or even creating an entirely new word to describe it (such as using company name, like BNB, for Binance). |

Can a compulsive gambler that is newly converted to one religion, compel him to stop gambling?
When we talk about religion it's about changing our ways, ideas, and beliefs so when we successfully help one compulsive gambler to convert from an example to an atheist to one's religion can we compel him to stop gambling?
Is it possible that he will continue playing but secretly?
I guess it depends? I'm more of the reason the person will quit because you just don't get "converted" into a religion. It means you believe in it or its beliefs resonate with you. Now I'm not a religious fanatic, but a basic change in a person's beliefs can go a long way, not just in religions really. Who knows, the person may actually just need a reason to stop gambling, and his new religion may be enough of a factor to push it. But I wouldn't pull out playing secretly. An addict doesn't exactly stop doing what he's addicted to all at once. It's a slow process. If he can manage that, then I reckon it should be possible. If not, well, withdrawals have a high chance of happening and in that case, quitting may just be far from actually happening. |

But now? Pretty sure ETH has already proved itself. It's a perfectly good coin to invest in and I think anyone on the scene knows that. It being known as one of the top alts isn't a joke after all.
