Sorry guys, but I've given up with PRO, again. The doze wallet is useless & the NIX wallet is using way too much cpu so I've stopped them.
I'm running Uno testnet. I start the Uno wallet by starting it as "unobtanium-qt.exe -testnet" PR works for me after I went to the console and typed: addnode 75.19.27.27:65525 add WMIKRUT.COM now has a PR pool up. I rented a little hash for the next 15 days to keep it moving.

Wmikrut says he will be able to setup a PR pool. He has already mined a block. That's a oood sign. Jimmy at Cryptocointalk is going to reactivate the PR thread. Cryptopia is trying to reactivate withdrawals. Its been a group effort, and fun working with everyone to bring it back. When HC finds his way back to Uno and PR, things will be running well for him.

@edgar, no BW had nothing to do with PR. It was launched by HC.
BW is in contact with me, almost weekly. He is still active and interested with Uno.
CaptChadd was not involved with PR.

I cannot freakin' mine PR/Uno-testnet. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but Multiminer always returns an error. I have it setup exactly like 15 other coins I can successfully mine. Were you moving it earlier, Cryptapus?
No, I don't have mining resources. But someone is mining it. The last block is only ~1hr old... All thing considered the testnet is up and moving now. Isn't that worth the 0.1 BTC bounty you were offering edit: However, it does need more full (open) nodes. With just my two nodes I wouldn't expect it to be a robust network... I was hoping to get it back up and moving for Cryptopia, for more than five minutes. I truly appreciate your help though, Cryptapus for this and everything else you do for Uno. I'll send that donation over today. Please keep those nodes up as long as you can. The mess is slowly sorting itself out. Siameze saved the Prototanium GIT, and I've passed it on to Cryptopia, also advised them they can run the Uno wallet as -testnet. Wmikrut is going to take another shot at setting up a pool for it. Hopefully the miner who has figured it out how to mine Uno Testnet will keep it moving a while longer. There's a new PR+Testnet subthread on Cryptocointalk for those that want to engage beyond this effort fix PR. I am still not 100% sure this is a node issue (I hope so). I know it might seem silly to some to throw good money after bad, but I am not at all okay with how this went down. Though I didn't own or benefit from Prototanium, I encouraged the dev and saw it as a kid brother to UNO. It as, afterall Uno testnet. I don't understand at all why the dev abandoned PR as he did. I haven't been able communicate with him about it. It was very out of character. I'm saddened by it. While I don't like cleaning up these kinds of messes (and I don't take ownership of it), I feel I owed it those who believed in Prototanium and trusted the dev, especially Cryptopia, to at least give it the ol' college try to resolve the issues. I really believe the Uno community is a different kind of community. Even if this fails, I hope some will see that the community cared enough to try and do something about it. So thanks for your help Cryptapus, and yes, your support is valuable, appreciated, and certainly worth a modest bounty. You are consistent, responsive, available, dependable, engaged, helpful creative... everything this community needs. You are a commodity as rare as UNO. Thanks for all you do.

Holy smokes someone bought UNO all the way up to .00460 on Topia but not even a decent bump on bittrex.
I am surprised that UNO hasn't pumped by now now that the downpressure from cryptsy escapees is gone.
There's still some uncertainty about Cryptsy with 15k Uno locked up there, about to be released for withdrawal any day. Some are still setting buy orders low in hopes of catching a dump. It's keeping buyers on the side for the moment. I think UNO is a coiled spring; we should get a bounce after the Cryptsy fog clears. There is not many sellers though. You don't find a decent quantity on Bittrex until you're up in the 004's (and just 4.5 btc gets Uno to .005), so if someone bought up to the 4's on Cryptopia today, I don't think its too crazy. The question is, what will happen when Cryptsy releases the big 15k Un wallet (and what might happen if they don't).

Explorer is still loading, but it should be done in less than an hour. Animalroam is helping with a PR explorer. It will help stabilize the network, and could prove useful for Uno testnet services. I am able to synch the PR/Uno -testnet. But first, I had to delete the old chain and re-synch to Cryptapus' nodes.

I see your Uno testnet nodes, but my testnet wallet is still stuck at 173196.
I'm also seeing 46.105.39.103:6552 also at height 173196. Do think its a fork? I could delete and try to download the testnet chain again from your nodes.

It appears from BigVern's last blog post that he plans to allow withdrawals on an alphabetical basis. Unfortunately for Unobtanium, we're toward the end of the list. The Uno markets are quiet now, waiting for the other shoe to drop from Cryptsy. I have no doubt the price would be at a fairer valuation if 20k Uno hadn't been needed by Cryptsy traders to escape the exchange since October. @BN thanks for the 2 new exchanges. Added 'em to The List.

Such experiment. So drama.

The community should go with the fork that BTER and Cryptopia hopefully are both on. Default to the exchanges, and always addnode the exchanges in your wallet.

Thanks, @Tyke. Good choice adding Unobtanium to the book.

It wasn't my coin, and I don't own any, but I'll give a .1 btc token of appreciation to whoever gets PR running again in a credible way.
unobtanium testnet node (it will need to catch up...) addnode=75.19.27.27:65525
I connected to your node with the PR client. I'm on block 1739196 with a difficult of 10518. Anyone want to try mining it? node is caught up to block 172480, I see one peer at 172480 and another at 173196. You may use my node as a full node, I'll leave it open. Will probably need some hash to bring difficulty down. 1CrYPTB1o7QWc8hXqBMP2LtAJh1VMtTFBh ucrYPTxQPKkb2WTU57PjurHbCHf3rACMJh (don't need any testnet coins ) I'm trying to mine it, but Multiminer says "all pools are down," when I try to mine either with prototanium-qt or Unobtanium-qt on testnet. I think my settings are correct in the conf files: rpcuser=NotMyRealUser rpcpassword=notMyRealPassword listen=1 server=1 daemon=1 gen=0 rpcport=65524 Someone else should try it. But I don't think it's going to be as easy as putting up a node. Last October I was working with Wmikrut to get a pool up for PR. We were both stuck at height 172480. I don't think he'd mind me sharing his comment at that time: "Unfortunately it's more than just having not been mined for several days. I have another coin that does this -- it lags behind several days because nobody is mining it. This is different... this coin is actually stuck at this height. Furthermore, I am seeing strange error messages in the wallet log file. Presumably because of this my pool reports the coins is still 'syncing' and will start as soon as the sync is complete. Because of bad responses from the wallet -- it's locked into this 'perpetual' syncing that doesn't seem to end. The wallet even rejects my attempts to solo mine with the proper credentials in place, again, it's locked into this 'perpetual' sync. I've tried it on several machines -- all the same result. The problem currently lies in the wallet/blockchain and not the pooling software available." --- PR isn't our community's coin, but because there's interest in it here and several people have it, and because an exchange that is important to Uno listed it in good faith, and because there's isn't a PR thread any more, I sure don't mind if we take one last shot at trying to right it.

Good luck. It didn't work for me. I even tried setting up my own PRO network with connect settings, but still couldn't find a connection. I've brought lots of coins back from the dead, but PR is stubborn. I'd be interested to learn if your experience is different.
I didn't own any PR, but still would like to see it move for the admins at Cryptopia who were kind enough to list it.

It would be nice to get the testnet/pro moving again for Cryptopia. I tried setting up nodes, both with Uno testnet wallet and the Pro client, but it didn't help.

Hey, it's the off topic UNO thread!
Anybody here?
Yep! checking in. I just plugged this thread in the Uno thread. Hopefully the rancor level here will rise soon. I just stopped by to check on SgtMoth's avatar.

Tiny value.. until it isn't. With use and more markets and store of wealth, even if it takes a couple more years the price will increase naturally if it's used and the blockchain is strong.
You may be right, but predicting the future is notoriously difficult. My comment was about what I observe today with merge-mined coins in general (including UNO) and the apparent disconnect between difficulty/hash rate and price. Hashrate = Security Also: merge mining is the only known way to have a secure pow-network maintained LONGTERM on absolute minimal inflation As a store of value (a coin you want to hold longterm) merge mining is the optimal choice. The alternative to merge mining is unsecure pos or high inflation. Choose your poison. I think merge mining and low inflation is actually a phantastic combination. Uno will shine again, no doubt. Not sure I would agree with the merge mining comment, as you are basically saying the coin cannot survive on its own merits, and must depend on another chain, in his case Bitcoin's. In any event my original comment was primarily about how I see merge mining as being a primary cause of the disconnect between the hash rate and the value - in general I do not think people are mining UNO because they want Unobtanium, they are mining because they want BTC and it is basically "free" to also merge mine, so why wouldn't you mine and then sell for any non-zero value, they were "free" after all? Regarding the "store of value", well I know we see it mentioned a lot in this thread, but I cannot really see how a market cap of half a million dollars (or thereabouts, I haven't checked) less all the lost/dormant coins, can provide a meaningful "store of value" for more than a few enthusiasts. Quoting this for the irc logs war chest. https://archive.is/9YtNPI actually just started snapshotting all "self-moderated" threads because of deleted comments. Truth and sensibility have no expiration date. I don't know what this means? This means I have started saving a copy of the page before it is moderated, as this thread (amongst others) sometimes deletes comments that are viewed as unfavorable towards the "Dear Leader". The Rules are posted in the 2nd OP. Very few posts are deleted by the thread moderator so far. Sometimes the BCT Board mods sweep through (probably with a script) and clean things up. I've even had some of my own posts removed from here. If it's really important, cross post to Cryptocointalk or Reddit. The community has chided me in the past for not being more proactive on spam, personal attacks, off topic posts and blatant trolling, so... I guess it is what it is. Hint: if someone posts something highly inflammatory that you know is probably going to get removed when I wake up, then please don't feed the trolls in kind, or quote the post. We have a Uno community off topic thread linked from the OP where you can say anything you want. But this lightly moderated thread is the one place on BCT where we serve Unobtanium, all I ask for is a small bit of decorum.
