1041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: At $7.5 Dogecoin will be more valuable than BTC on: May 10, 2021, 10:38:29 AM
It's coming quick, Doge will go to $3 easily in the coming weeks, then to $7 is no problem, after that it will be BIGGER than BTC,

Which means that the most valuable crypto on earth, actually admits it a no-value scam, and doesn't even hide, while all along BTC has lied about its utility

Funny the JOKE crypto is more valuable than the 'holy crypto', but the fact is the holy crypto is a worthless dinosaur propped up by a few geriatric whales; dogecoin of course is also owned in majority by just a few people, but at least they're not lying to their buyers
I believe it has to get to $1 first before thinking of getting to $3 and I wouldn't even mention the other number for now. Yes with the way Elon musk is putting all his weight behind DogeCoin, the price will definitely rise, infarct that is why we are even discussing DogeCoin at all but let's not over think it.
1042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So funny! Elon Musk brings Doge to the real moon. on: May 10, 2021, 10:33:00 AM
Funny, witty and brilliant at the same time. The meme is getting more exposure and for real application thanks to Elon whom we know if he's literally giving Doge the spotlight and having fun doing these things.
But anyway if this continues then those who are waiting for it to reach to $1, that's likely to happen.
I believe so too as per the $1 price and Elon musk is not relenting in his support for Dodecoin and with this kind of exposure and now talking about it as the payment method for that space travel, you beast believe some unimaginable things might just happen to DogeCoin price in the future.
1043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Dogecoin reach 1$ soon? on: May 09, 2021, 07:17:12 AM
If you have not held Dogecoin from months back and now want to get into investing in Dogecoin because of all this hype, then you are really taking a Huge risk and I dont see reason for that now. Even if you love Dogecoin so much and wants to invest, I guess you can wait till we are back to a proper bear market and reinvest that's what i would do.
1044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SNL - Elon Musk Live Steaming Link on: May 09, 2021, 06:34:44 AM
I believe investors must have known some thing like this would happen and I was telling a friend the other day to sell off all the Dogecoin he is holding but I guess we had different ideas about the direction of DogeCoin.

Top losers as at this morning on Binance, Took the whole position  Grin

1045  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be hijacked by world billionaires??? on: May 08, 2021, 09:27:35 AM
It is obvious that world billionaires are indicating interest into bitcoin of late ,for instance Elon Musk twitted that you can now purchase his Tesla cars with bitcoin, is he trying to hod bitcoins so it will be scarce then he control and dictate the price of the market or is it for the good of bitcoin that we have been expecting ,what do you think
I dont think that just because Elon Musk said that, People that wants to buy a Tesla will then decides to first go buy some Bitcoin with their Fiat money and now go buy a Tesla with Bitcoin, I believe it is really if you own Bitcoins and you needed a Tesla, you can just go ahead and purchase one instead of selling to fiat then buy a Tesla. I think since he is now involved in Bitcoins Investment, he might as well accept it for payment.
1046  Economy / Economics / Re: The Modern Mode of Payments on: May 08, 2021, 09:22:35 AM
I am all in for cryptos but this is not what's been happening right now. Let me give you an in-depth analysis of what I have observed.

1. Local mode of payments are getting though cards , your credit cards , debit cards or any mode of e-payment, but unfortunately not cryptocurrencies because the stores are not everywhere so open and at the same time online fiat payments charge nothing.

2. The international transfers are taking much more time as compared to normal, so people are indeed thinking of payment though bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies but then again their price fluctuations does mean that they have to encash it instantly! Which is not a big deal with good wallets and trading platforms. The overall fee is comparatively very affordable in regards to payments done through cryptocurrencies!

Totally correct. For most people in my area during the pandemic, yes most payments for goods/services were paid online but mostly via the credit and debit cards like you mention because most if not all of the stores in my place too will only accept such for now and this are the regular everyday stores we would patronize even if there are few stores that accept Cryptocurrency those are not your every consumables.
1047  Economy / Economics / Re: Nigerian Government Ban on Crypto, the P2P dilemma on: May 08, 2021, 09:09:57 AM
I do not think that free market is something as good as people imagine it would be. Everyone loves to talk about how less government intervention is great, but then this happens and they are shocked about it. When people on the left say that we need more government they do not mean lets all become Chinese communist regime and take control of everything, we just mean that lets put regulations and let people do whatever they want under those guidelines. Sure you can make a case on too much government, and that's true, there should not be too much government, but there should be no government neither, look at what happened here for example and see that government is important.

So, we need to find that right balance where it is not people screwing each other over, but it is also not government screwing people neither, there needs to be a correct amount of balance.

Exactly, having total control like what some people are craving for comes with a price, and the op's situation is part of the price people will pay if government gives total control of your money,
P2p guys are taking advantage of the situation, I bet if you ask the op, he/she would prefer the government involvement where he can directly sell to binance than the p2p where you have no choice.
Both of you are right and if I was in the OPs shoes I know I definitely would have preferred the Governments involvement considering the differences in the trading rate on the p2p side. I guess at the end of the day, it will be safe to say there is need for some sort of regulation as el kaka22 mentioned above to keep thing in check.
1048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you set stop loss for long term gem? on: May 07, 2021, 10:39:31 AM
I guess if your intention is to invest for the long term then no need for stop loss, this is what I do. If you set a stop loss or cut your loss when the price dips, that means your intention was not clear from the beginning of investment, you must have understood how the market works and understand the project you are investing in to know that it will come around. so no cutting loss.
1049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: bull market end on: May 07, 2021, 10:31:51 AM
Since we are not sure went the Bull market is ending and I dont really think anyone can give that king of information, Investing in Bitcoin now for me will be for the long HODL and if it so turned out that there is profits to be taken along the way still, then that's a plus though the market still looks bullish to me from a daily to monthly chat.
1050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When you heard about Bitcoin vs. When you first used Bitcoin on: May 07, 2021, 10:22:36 AM
How long did it take you to jump on the Bitcoin bandwagon?

I first heard about Bitcoin in 2009
I first used Bitcoin in 2013

Took me 4 years!

What about you?

I actually heard about Bitcoin because I needed to use Bitcoin to pay for some program. It was back in 2016 and a colleague was introducing me to what eventual didn't work out and we were suppose to subscribe to the program by paying with Bitcoin so he helped me open a blockchain wallet, bought some Bitcoin to pay for the program and my crypto life started fully in 2017.
1051  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you define rich? on: May 07, 2021, 10:13:40 AM
I will consider myself rich if I able to provide my family what they need, the basic things, having a house, car for transportation and decent business is enough for me. Rich has different meaning to individuals but it depends on what level you are contented with.
You are right and the Key word here is Contentment. When you look around you, you would notice different level of people with different level of finance but some above your level financially might still be complaining every day about their money not being enough while you are just comfortable with what you have. So first of, if you are not contented with what you have an live according to that, you will always see your self as poor while the even lesser financial person will always see himself as rich because he can live according to what he has.

Even the Richest people in this world are still looking to make more money.
1052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB to $1k? on: May 06, 2021, 08:09:07 PM
I think BNB can still go up higher than the current price, even though BNB has already crossed 640 $ but I am sure BNB will reach 1000 $ soon, because the potential of BSC is still very large, even after ETH lowered their gas fee, the BSC gas fee is still keep it cheaper
With regards to the gas fees, no question about that, Binance Smartchain still have a better transaction fee compared to Ethereum network and of cause this is why most projects switched to BSC in recent times and this is bring a lot of activities there and more project development is still going on too and the ether gas fee that is said to be low, a $4+ gas fee is still not executed for more than a day now that is not cheap.
1053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My feelings after 11 years with crypto. on: May 06, 2021, 07:43:42 PM
Hello everyone, today i want to tell you about my crypto-depression.
So in 2010 i was working in IT company and my friend from work told me about bitcoin mining.
Next day after this information i register on this forum and start mining coins, everything going perfect but bitcoin price was really low and unstable.
I was investing everything in gpu. Couple times i lost my fund's on scam-exchange but i still had a lot of "mining power".
In 2015 i quited my job and invest my whole savings in bitcoin, in that time i had more than 15 bitcoin's and gpu worth 20k$.
And after 2 or 3 week's everything fucked up, in same time i lost my job and my wife get sicked.
In Nov 2015 i selled everything but still i had -$$$$ to pay, so you probably asking why i made this post?

Now after 6 years i have biggest depression ever, if i only burrow money from somewhere 5 years ago and didnt sell my miners...

I have feelings that i lost my biggest life chance to get really rich and i just want to forget about crypto and work in normal work but it is impossible.
It's hurt much more if you can see that your old crypto-friend's get cars and houses from crypto profit, i wonder if someone have some feeling's as me.

I personally believe every thing that happens to some one happens for a reason and there is lesson in it for us and to others. But I want to tell you that all hope is not lost, if only I had held on to the amount of Bitcoin I had back in 2017, I would be 50 times richer than where i am now but I dont let that bring me down. Bitcoin is one of the best investment any one can get into now and it is still early IMO so keep it moving.
1054  Economy / Economics / Re: Nigeria will overtake India in P2P on: May 06, 2021, 08:09:03 AM
Let's not forget that Nigeria banks, CBN , banned financial institutions from helping in crypto transaction and it's not a huge surprise to me because in Nigeria 70%of the population get their daily bread from crypto and they have to adopt the p2p method
Lets not forget that even before this whole FG and CBN fiasco on cryptocurrency trading people where already trading p2p but it is now just more official and this even shows how all the people in Government dont know nothing about crypto trading because they would have known for a fact that the policy did not change any serious thing just the way of Direct bank deposit.
1055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is May 8 the Dogecoin bubble burst date? on: May 06, 2021, 08:02:41 AM
Yes ,, this is the right way to own BTC by selling our DogeCoin. and I am very sorry that a few months ago I had Doge and squandered it. I never thought that Doge's price would increase like this ..
No regrets mate on any thing that I have let go. Like you I too had some Dogecoins that I sold off just some days before all this Dogecoin hype and I know for sure I would have made more if I still had them now but even when I sold, it was profits so no regrets and i seriously hope investors will watch the market closely for sudden downward price movement cos there could be a huge sell off.
1056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest on: May 06, 2021, 07:53:02 AM
I've been looking to invest in some rising altcoins for quite a while now. Any suggestions for temporary investment? Smiley
I'm investing ETH and BNB. They're growing very well and profitable for me every day.I am also interested in doge because its price is now blowing up very high. I think doge will continue to increase in the near future. Very much investing in them. It will not disappoint you.
Like wise for me. I believe BNB is a good investment, well it has been for me since I invested a better part of my portfolio their and Ethereum is and has always been one cryptocurrency to have in your portfolio as well.there are other good Alts to jump into but you must also DYOR and make that choice.
1057  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1 million BTC wallet on: May 06, 2021, 07:47:14 AM
I believe the Op wanted to just start up this form of argument about a wallet holding 1 million Bitcoin and we know that this king of information is really not hidden in the blockchain and could have been verified by him if he wanted to as others have gone to point out or he could just be referring to holding up to 1 million Bitcoin in a sting of wallet address in one wallet  Huh
1058  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in bitcoins for future kids on: May 06, 2021, 07:33:53 AM
As a form of investment, many are buying cryptocurrency in smaller quantities and saving for their kids in the future. With the continuous rising and falling of the currency and the volatility of the market, how do we know the coins to buy and save for future use or is it a waste of money.
Need your thoughts on this tho'...
If I have to do this and Hodl up till about 10years for my kids then it has to be Bitcoin and not that there are not other cryptocurrencies that wouldn't make it that long but Bitcoin just seem to be the top choice because of the level of global adoption and more institutional investments, Bitcoin will be a good save by then also.
1059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if, you had invested $100 in BTC (From 2010 to 2021) on: May 05, 2021, 06:39:36 AM
I also had that what if before but I knew to myself that just like the other nostalgic crypto posts about selling early like the famous Greg Schoen tweet.

I've probably have sold with a few hundreds of profit instead of holding just like those projections and comparison of amount that have rendered IF being put into bitcoin several years ago.
Current. I know i did back in 2017 when all my crypto assets equaled above 1BTC and I did not understand why i should have held on to that money I was seeing and when I also knew that the market had started to dip. It was a good ride then after cashing out and still feels good now cos it was put to proper use but I could say with the better experience I have now, I would trade differently.
1060  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my first Bitcoin and am happy on: May 05, 2021, 06:22:25 AM
5%, that will be some good profits from what your initial investment was back 3 years ago and that is a good thing to do. I believe it makes us have this sense of fulfillment about our investment and also gives you the drive to continue to try to accumulate more in every way possible.
