1081  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CoinMarketCap lauched an iOS app today - Check it out! on: May 04, 2018, 10:23:15 PM

Sounds nice, I think the most interesting feature is the "watchlist", for you can follow your coins. Also is kind of amazing that Coinmarketcap is 5 years old already!!
In general, sound good. Here there is a video-review of the app, in case you are interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAKgJ_FCchs

Thanks for the video. You are right, the 'watchlist' features is what really makes the app interesting again. I hope the event that occurred them being accused of not displaying correct cryptocurrency data really pulled my interest off them. I just hope this didn't repeat in their app. Apart from the 'watchlist' features,  if more features are being equipped in the app, it would make it outstanding than the normal website. Thanks OP for the news.
1082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is ICO period long? on: May 04, 2018, 09:32:49 PM
I guess the project depends on it and the developers uses it to get more money from investors. And also, some projects whom have not meet their have to extend the sale of tokens inorder to get the amount they really desires for implementing the project.  And another situation is when the project developers have to extend the project for late investors who wants to invest in the project but are late.
1083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can the massive creation of Altcoins can be stopped? on: May 04, 2018, 07:44:32 PM
With the way and high amount of shitcoins that is entering into the market daily, I feel it should be stopped. But yet, stopping it has it own disadvantages. It's just like putting a stop in innovations that are being created using the blockchain technology. But another thing is that most people use ICOs as a form of way extorting money from people whom are interested in the project and wants to invest.
1084  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to avoid bounty scams in bitcointalk on: May 04, 2018, 06:38:14 PM
You may seems to make good points,  but the truth is, it's quite difficult to find good ICOs now, most bounty hunters are just interested in making money but ends up accumulating shit coins which are scams ICOs. If they are a bit lucky enough, they may end up tossing it away in an exchange immediately have and it is being listed. this becomes bad for investors who bought the tokens or coins in high quantity
1085  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will go to $13500-12300$ because of this news on: May 04, 2018, 05:36:33 PM
Don't be too sure and over confident. It's not that I don't believe in the power of cryptocurrency or what it can do in the near future,  but just that we shouldn't be too quick to conclude that cryptocurrency will reach this price soon. This price may come this years, but you should know this price may come in the last quarter of this year or probably in the third quarter of this year.
1086  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Question: Where can i spend ? on: May 04, 2018, 05:37:25 AM
It will be so hard to find a place to spend your Verge so easily, especially on things like gadgets, electronic etc . Even sometimes, it gets  hard to find a place to send the popular Bitcoin not to talk of Verge. I don't know what you want to spend it on, but it seems the most meaningful place is porn which I think might not be your choice.  Apart from converting it into BTC, you can also advertise that you have it for sell in this forum and your social circle, probably you might see someone to sell it for fait currency.
1087  Economy / Economics / Re: can you imagine bitcoin as your prime currency. on: May 03, 2018, 10:05:04 PM
Well, I guess so, in the fact that I regard it as a future investment. I have saved a larger part of my future savings in cryptocurrency and I am not regarding that I turn them into this digital currency. The  only problem that one might encounter doing this is not securing the safe place where you have save your coins. Apart from that, bitcoin is a good form of future savings.
1088  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I just lost my entire wallet of 13 BTC. on: May 03, 2018, 07:56:47 PM
I can imagine how you feel. It's really so painful cause 13 BTCs are really a lot of money. I have read a lot of comments here and they are quite encouraging and also a lot to learn. And I must really commend you for staying strong because many people in your situation might have done something bad to themselves. Just want to ask, have you consider tracking down the wallet of the hackers?  I know there might be a little chance, but it's worth trying.
1089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Alternative to Myetherwallet on: May 02, 2018, 07:59:48 PM
To be honest, I have no idea what can replace such a wonderful project as MEW for me, I think that today there are similar services, but still they will not be as popular as MEW, as for security, I still believe that it was not hacked.

I agree Myetherwallet is a very good development and has really assisted many users in claiming ICOs tokens, but it's just that most times user accounts are being  hacked, but better security can achieved through MetaMask plugin though, it's not guaranteed.  But there are also good alternatives to Myetherwallet like Metal Vaults (it's an online ERC20 enabled wallet like Myetherwallet but requires login). There are also good hardware wallets that is ERC20 enabled too.
1090  Other / Meta / Re: How about KYC on bitcointalk? on: May 02, 2018, 12:47:54 PM
Then Satoshi would never come back for sure Sad
Cheesy Grin This really got me laughing. It's very obvious that  the legend cherish his privacy so much, main reason no one knows him physically.
Introducing KYC in bitcointalk is not a bad idea, but  I think its obstruction of people's privacy and many won't like this. Bitcointalk is all about bitcoin and the true concept which bitcoin is about is privacy maintenance. It would be disappointing if a forum like this is not exhibiting an example of what it's all about. Moreover,  apart from shit posting, we don't have any coin attached to the users account that needs protecting.
1091  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Prediction on: May 02, 2018, 10:08:18 AM
Well, it depends if. If some traders don't run off to sell in order to to make few or little gains. During the price of $6k, many traders bought and now with the recent price, many will be selling cause they might feel that this is the price they have been waiting for. And moreover,  we hope there won't be much FUD from the government or media that will go on recently that could cause panic and  price dump.
1092  Economy / Economics / Re: How to manage the risk in investing cryptocurrency? on: May 01, 2018, 09:38:54 PM
In my opinion risk management in crypto markets can be done only by take profit/ stop lose levels for fiat/ stable coins or btc (or btc then fiat/ stable coins) because all assets are highly correlated and diversification can't deliver needed effect
How do you know if you would be taking profits or not. The truth is that the cryptocurrency market or investment is way too risky. Not much can be done to prevent risks, you just have to make incredible researches on the project you intend in and try so much to dig a deeper knowledge of what the ICOs and do have. Even it might suprise you to know that it will be difficult to know a goof project cause a project may sound interesting, but ends up been a shitcoin.
1093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: where to sell tokens? on: May 01, 2018, 06:17:45 PM
I'm new, and I wanted to sell my tokens. Advise me of sites for the sales of tokens. Where is the big turnover? where is the easiest to sell?
If you are new investors, the developers of the ICO will tell when it will be listed, then you can sell in the exchange. If the tokens/coins is worth it, it will be listed in exchanges like Binance and the likes. But bear in mind that it is best not to sell some coins immediately when they are listed so you can get the best out of it when it moons.

1095  Economy / Speculation / Re: After " Destroying Bitcoin " prices went up on: April 30, 2018, 04:30:11 AM
Any type of FUD can affect the price of bitcoin,  I personally didn't pay attention to the MIT news when I saw it.  If you have been keeping tabs lately on the price fluctuation of bitcoin,  you would notice that sometimes, there might be a price dip or the price might go down even without any circulation of FUD. So it's also keen to know that, not all FUDs can cause a decrease and an increase in BTC price.
1096  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Will India Exchanges Have To Move Country? on: April 29, 2018, 09:47:18 PM
It depends, if the indian government  do really have completely ban cryptocurrency,  they might have to state if the exchange should stay or not. Though basically most exchange owners don't need to be told to leave. Immediately there is a restrictions on ICOs or on any cryptocurrency,  they move quickly because most little restrictions will affect their business wholly.
1097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is that psycological on trading? on: April 29, 2018, 07:52:58 PM
Things like not making quick gains as expected can contribute to psychological problems. And besides, there are many things that can contribute to psychological problems in trading and being too emotional is what most traders suffer. Not every trader is psychological strong to invest in cryptocurrency because of it unstable nature; most people can't stand it when the price keeps dipping.
1098  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I'm Setting Up A Website on: April 29, 2018, 05:49:01 PM
People can't  just tell you what to write, your interest is what that all matters. You didn't mention what niche you will be writing on or what your website will be based on. I presume it's still whatever you were writing on, which is based on cryptocurrency. You should make sure your articles is highly SEO based in order to get true traffic. And also, you can monetize your site through Google Adsense.
1099  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you involved in Cryptocurrency on: April 29, 2018, 02:58:55 PM
Most  people might have invested in cryptocurrency because of the fear of missing out on it (FOMO) and which is why some investors loss out quickly because they rushed into . The need to protect my privacy is the reason why I invested in cryptocurrency.  Since I invested and use cryptocurrency,  I have been using less credit cards which has been most times  worrying for me because I give many information.
1100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New type of altcoin on: April 29, 2018, 12:12:53 PM
@OP, you are making it sound as if altcoins main purpose is for making money only. Developers create ICOs project through the blockchain technology to solve problems ; at least,  that is what cryptocurrency is all about. Its most developers and investors that makes it sounds as if the major reasons why digital currency is made for is for quick money making.
