it's impossible to be ineficent
As long as new technologies are able to replace older ones, nothing is really efficient. And as long as technology replaces human labor, there will not be enough jobs to employ people.

I would propose that they start converting a fixed percentage of all newly donated funds into bitcoin going forward. Start building a local non-bank controlled economy with those local businesses around them, and start giving the world an example of what can be done without the "1%" getting involved.
It is unfortunate though that the easiest way to convert dollars into bitcoin is through Chase. I doubt that they would like that.
Edit: Unless the manipulator is there, and can sell his massive stockpile for cash directly...

Just change the website name to something else and grab all the variations. Not enough people really know about them yet, do they?
This. I would continue to sell your existing coins but if/when you decide to go for round 2 come up with a completely different name and this time spend the $80 or so to bulk register alternate versions. Physicoin!

After viewing the recent LA Townhall presentation, I realized that a monetary market system that wasn't based on debt or interest is something that Peter Joseph hasn't yet heard about. I think that if he learns about and understands bitcoin, he would be able to promote it or at least mention it to the rest of the Zeitgeist Movement.

The market will most likely proliferate such technology on the android platform, but it probably won't gain mass appeal until the iBorgs start having it on their devices. Hopefully their yearly release plans will work in our favor inside of 18 months.

Marriage is the epitome of treating a woman like an object. It is a legal fiction regarding property rights, and offspring responsibility. Marriage is the result of a monetary system that perpetuates competition and false scarcity, and this is the major reason that marriage is declining and divorce rates are increasing. If we actually cared for other people on this planet, we would care for children as a community, not as the property of a legal fiction designed to remove responsibility from everyone else. The impulse to pair-bond is real, but the social rules around a contrived relationship such as marriage is ultimately destructive in the face of a rapidly advancing technological society.

I don't know of anything more public, global or authoritative as the bitcoin block chain. But then again I understand science and technology, not dogma and mystery.

I would like to see any government anywhere try to deny people the use of bitcoin. The fact that you can't use cash anymore in one state is also ridiculous. Combined with the increased fees and impending failure of Bank of America, the old world money systems are on their last leg. Tradition will succumb to technology sooner than later.

Interesting. Although, I wonder about the use case and scenario...
you wonder why anonymous phone calls would be useful? Not that specifically, but the actual process by which you could perform such a task at a payphone. I would find it hard to punch in a private key on a 10key pad. Also, I would have to wonder at what point in the process does it become non-anonymous, to avoid such an absurdity. But I still like the idea. i read 'payphone' to mean a piece of software you run on your PC that's hooked up to your mic/headphones... not a glass box on the side of the road with a big clunky machine in it. That would make more sense, thank you.

This screwball "internet" scheme is just a way to get around buying postage stamps from the government. It will never work.

Wish I could make it. So close, yet so far! Have a good time, and stop by the Occupy event when you're there.

Today and Tomorrow
The child that you starve today, Will not grow your food tomorrow.
The man you put on the street today, Will steal from you tomorrow.
The student that you won't teach today, Will not mend your wounds tomorrow.
The profits that you made today, Will create your loss tomorrow.
Your police who locked me up today, Will lock you up tomorrow.
Your religion that preaches love today, Will teach you hate tomorrow.
The master who you serve today, Will have you killed tomorrow.
The life you had until today, Was made of my tomorrow.
All I've learned, from all my days, from all my joy and sorrow,
Is if I don't care for you today, Then who will care for me tomorrow?

Reports coming in today that the US Dollar is dead due to >90% loss of value in the last 100+ years.

Bitcoin exists in a quantum state of being simultaneously both alive and dead, collapsing into either state when the observer looks at the latest bitcoin market charts.

Neat idea. Thanks for coming up with good promotions and simultaneously telling people about what's going on down there.

This is great! Thanks for helping out the Occupy effort!
Edit: There are many occupations starting up across the country and around the world. Are you interested in helping those out also or are you only focusing on NYC?

And thus came Bitcoin, some lasting thing that men might keep without spoiling, and that by mutual consent men would take in exchange for the truly useful, but perishable supports of life.

Until we completed the transition into a Resource Based Economy.
