Could you point me to that announcement pls?

Hes talking about the election.

Obama and Romney's numbers are over inflated due to the recent political conventions that just occurred.

Consistently getting a "TX rejected (code -22)" message when trying using sendrawtransaction. I believe I'm following all the steps properly. (createrawtransaction, signrawtransaction, sendrawtransaction)

Using the rpc console in Win7x64.

Same result using bitcoind.

rap news rocks

the Ron Paul v Zeitgeist one is some of the finest propaganda I have ever witnessed.

Propaganda for what?
605  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you ever buy a Bitcoin Magazine issue again? on: September 09, 2012, 11:37:38 PM
Must be because I'm sleepy here but you lost me. How am I supposed to pick it up if it's not published in my country? do they ship free samples?

Someone could send you the digital version.
606  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are people over-reacting on MNW's bet? on: September 09, 2012, 11:25:52 PM
If you value money, which is imaginary, over relationships with people, which is the only valuable thing we have, then you will likely always be scammed, tricked, defrauded and fooled.

That would be fantastic.

I have paid out everyone who took me up on my 100000 Satoshi side-bet. Thanks again for the high stakes action!
609  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good Wife record beaten on: September 09, 2012, 06:46:39 AM
To put things into perspective, compared with obama and romney, bitcoin line is flat. Sad

Let's compare them when bitcoin has a week long nationally televised and artificially over hyped convention.

I will bet up to 100000 Satoshis in total that MNW will pay all his betting debts within 48 hours of his assumed loss. I will accept bets from any community member in good standing with at least 500 posts. For bets larger than 500 Satoshis, please contact me via PM to discuss proof of capital requirements. Please place bets in the following format:

Code:
100 Satoshis
1AddressToPayWinningsTo

Failing to honor this bet will cause you great shame and embarrassment for the rest of your days in this community. I will stop taking bets in exactly 10 minutes.

Edit: To clarify, 1 Satoshi = 0.00000001 BTC.

Betting is closed. Thanks to all who placed bets and I look forward to the exciting high stakes outcome!

This is exactly the level of discourse that this topic deserves.
I am starting to hate money too, LightRider.

It's not about hating money, it's about recognizing its flaws and building a better paradigm.

Paradigm of implementation, not paradigm of concept. Bitcoin is still, at the basic level, a medium of exchange - also known as money.

I'm referring to a resource based economy, which eschews money, as opposed to our current monetary system, which promotes corruption, destruction and death.

Again, paradigm of implementation.

And I've never really understood how anything gets done in a "resource based economy."

We begin to operate on the basis of math, science and reality, as opposed to assumptions, fantasy and false authority.

Someone should put the entirety of the gox price history into such a video. Please keep making them!

Most tragic outcome is that pirate doesn't pay on the 9th, Matthew pays out immediately because he keeps his word, and then pirate pays out entirely on the 10th.
618  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin in Honduras' new charter cities on: September 06, 2012, 05:54:45 AM
There will always be crime in a monetary system, because dominance, greed, acquisitiveness and corruption are ultimately rewarded and promoted.

620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Romney's tax returns - first Bitcoin extortion? on: September 05, 2012, 06:29:46 AM
Hasn't there already been a tax return hoax already? Too bad they didn't just give the info to wikileaks without the ransom. This is the next evolution of journalism if this works.

I'm more interested in the extent to which there'll be an attempt to locate the owner of the Bitcoin addresses.  Y'all seem to take threats towards your presidential candidates pretty seriously over there and investigate everything which could be remotely construed as a threat.

This isn't a threat though. This is involuntary conformation to established campaign disclosure precedent.
