so here my monthly salary is about 3,500 Cuban pesos, which is equivalent to 12 dollars approximately, therefore I would like someone to please advise me on a page where I could work without investments
Cuba has been a place I have always wanted to visit, don't ask me why...

But a simple Google search on Cuba's minimum wage shows that it's currently sitting around 2100 Cuban pesos and you are almost at 2X the rate which makes you better than most.

Btw I don't know how you got to $12 but 3500 cuban pesos shows that it's equivalent to ~145 dollars and that $2 per day from faucets isn't needed...unless am missing something or its 350 Cuban pesos you meant to type which is about 14.5dollars.

1103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CZ's view on Halving on: October 18, 2023, 06:47:04 AM
CZ just summed up(echoed) Roll Eyes what actually happens as we approach the halving and post-reaction of the markets after the halving itself.

  • 1st we see a slight bump of price as we get nearer to the actual halving date
  • 2ndly markets don't go up instantly to match up the hype, maybe because others sell immediately after seeing no real rise from the halving
  • 3rdly when the dust settles, markets now show their true direction and price is bullish at this time
  • Lastly a hard fall follows after a lot of users sell to get their profits and the cycle is complete (no one talks about this part)

I think it's safe to say we know the drill that comes with Bitcoin halving.

Btw cro2  among the competition rules I see "Forum rank Full Member and higher can participate" could this be changed based on the fact that lower ranks do actually play here  Roll Eyes

Spack17, welcome to the Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) GL.

You should certainly realize that if the logos are too large, it will be impossible to create an easy-to-read leaderboard.
A small logo is used for the leaderboard, but later each team can publish its logo in a larger size.
Am starting to think best logos should be of the standard of eSports...

no text in them just some symbol(s) and we have nice visible logo's  Cool

Using image posted by Trofo for reference, these logos/avatar's are tiny but still visible and I think this should be the idea of our BSFL logos...

1106  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] Factors to consider before joining paid signature campaigns. on: October 17, 2023, 12:58:20 PM

-snip-

These are the people that causes problems for projects. They claim to be wearing signature promoting a campaign when they have no idea what they are wearing. I believe before wearing a signature, one must have the idea of what they are promoting if it is in line with their perspective or ideology so as not to get entangled in the process of promoting a project
I think signature campaigns should move in the direction of what Icopress has been doing which is commendable, if you are a participant of the campaign you need to give a review of the product being advertised so that one doesn't speak from a point of no experience or trying to feed others what you can't eat yourself and avoids selling contradicting messages.

-snip-
I don't seem to agree with you on this. This is pure advertisement that is understood in the cooperate world. There is always a disclaimer that goes with every product and services and that exonerate the promoters of such products and services as their job is limited to creating the awareness/publicity with the burden of authentication and verification on the targeted users and the regulators.
As much as you have a valid point when it comes to cooperate marketing and the alike, unfortunately the only reason these disclaimers are put out there is for all to see and to protect themselves from any legal battles that can come from consumers after use & something goes wrong.. which is different when compared to our crypto products and services as self awareness of crypto products is advised via DYOR, besides they say ignorance is no excuse.

Therefore, signature campaigns are no exception because they are also advertisement.
In the real world disclaimers are used to protect a company directly using its products to convey the message, but with our model of signatures, each user acts an an independent agency contracted to be engaged in the marketing side of a business...tbh there is a difference between the two.

These 35x35 px logos are damn too tiny to show the extra detail in them, will be better to just use initials for a logo to allow the emblem to pop.

Anyway will save mine here just for future reference or in case I need to fork them in one way or another Roll Eyes

I guess (or hope) that favorites won't lose since the tournament is still in an early stage. After all, it's ATP, not WTA Grin If things don't go as I plan, I'll just use VAR.
Zverev who was seeded 3rd is already gone and didn't expect such so soon...tennis can be unpredictable at times  Cry

1108  Economy / Speculation / Re: Recent market manipulation shows the enormous potential to reach the moon! on: October 17, 2023, 07:48:57 AM
The recent market manipulation with a fake news about SEC approving the BlackRock ETF showed the massive potential that exists in the bitcoin market to simply shoot to the moon and in a very short time too. In other words a lot of that money is waiting on bitcoin to make the first move to panic buy it "violently". Wink
Honestly sounds like too many people waiting to hit the buy button once Bitcoin comes in a regulated form and we did get a glimpse of it.

Btw, where did the fake news of the ETF approval originate from Roll Eyes

What happened today is also one of the reasons I insist that currently bitcoin is undervalued (under its intrinsic value).
Very much undervalued because of the bureaucracy, but am certain many people including investors want to have a sense of security when they invest in crypto and this can be done through regulation or in this case an ETF which won't require a user buying the actual Bitcoin as any risk associated with owning it is transferred to someone else, otherwise it's still a win win as demand for Bitcoin will surely increase once the approval is done.
1109  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: YoMix warning on: October 17, 2023, 06:32:33 AM
I recently did an in person transaction and got paid in BTC. Honestly it wasn't anything shady but who knows where these coins were previously... So I thought to use a mixer before cashing out. I have an Uphold account for many many years and never had any issues, so I just mixed my coins with YoMix and deposited there. This was my first transaction I did in Uphold since 3 years ago and in the very next day I get this email. No other transactions were done in the meantime so it's certain this is related to YoMix.
Before blaming YoMix for this hiccup, I believe you have omitted some fine details on your side!
  • Has your Uphold account been active
  • When was the last time you used your account besides this transaction
  • What type of account do you hold with Uphold

Btw reading some of the terms of Uphold>>> https://uphold.com/en-us/legal/membership-agreement/general this could be anything to do with KYC, an inactive account, or their AML checks.

Have you been in touch with their support to try and understand what's happening with your account?

and visiting their Reddit page they seem to be a mess!

This would mean that the address YoMix used too give me funds immedietly got detected as being connected to terrorism financing.
Am starting to think these guys operate similarly to Paypal where they limit accounts if they receive funds inconsistently and this could be what's happening here...
Just a quick question, how often have you(OP) been depositing funds here..has it been consentient ..if it were $50, $100 then jumped to $2000 am pretty sure they have every right to flag this transaction as its not your regular pattern and best to have a chat with their support, good luck.
1110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin needs Ethereum VM to reach its full potential — Web3 exec on: October 17, 2023, 04:41:57 AM
I agree with the Botanix Labs founder, Bitcoin might be the anchor crypto coin around here...but the EVMs do bring in some indirect traffic to Bitcoin thereby complimenting it's existence. Am pretty sure the man used a long cut in trying to bring out the point of dependance in the crypto ecosystem being the road to success aka no coin is an island  Cool

Though of late EVMs have been terrible in the security department, hope this proposed bridging of the two doesn't make a bad name for BTC.
1111  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: List of useful Bitcoin block explorers on: October 16, 2023, 09:45:18 PM
I see Blockchair.com is winning the poll race , but if we are to introduce mempool to the race I honestly don't see Blockchair winning by the huge margin it's enjoying as am aware most of us today use mempool for the extra technical and visual details available to Bitcoin enthusiasts.

OP, humble request add mempool to the pool if possible Cool
1112  Economy / Economics / Re: Global markets brace for fallout as Middle East tensions rise on: October 16, 2023, 09:32:27 PM
Oil is one commodity that affects price of many other items positively/negatively as transport is always factored into cost , and now having Oil prices going up again because of current tensions as if the Russia - Ukraine war wasn't enough... we in for a rude shock, brace yourselves.

I know these tensions in Gaza have been happening for a very longtime, but is it possible that there could be an invisible hand arm twisting one or two people just so prices could go up as they are financial beneficiaries from Oil sales Huh
Otherwise with most countries already experiencing high inflation rates and now Oil going up, most economies will shake that's for sure.
1113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 16, 2023, 06:21:05 PM
It is still good for Liverpool to keep Salah for one last season because the offer he got from that Saudi Arabia team must have been mouth-watering.
And the Saudis will come back with this offer in January to try force a sell, and if results don't improve between now and January Liverpool will gamble to get the money and go scouting for a younger start palyer in the making.

However I have no doubt as well about him to join that or some different team in Saudi Arabia next summer. Liverpool had better start thinking of an alternative already. Maybe they can even try their luck with Mbappe.
Mbappe is to big of a player and I don't think the Reds are ready for such drama especially that he has pulled such a stunt before that really put PSG in an awkward position and also almost got him sold . A player that will fit in well is one that is less known and will be a team player, but not Mbappe!!

Salah contract expires in 2025 and Liverpool said it will not oblige him to stay if he count move to Saudi Pro League.
If he doesn't leave now, what are the chances of him going as a free agent and make most of his money with such a deal especially that his got at the end of his career (based on his age).

1115  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your take on the pump coming? on: October 16, 2023, 03:34:20 PM
I sense that very soon the pump will start to shame all those folks who feel btc is failed project.
The fact that Bitcoin has existed over 10 years and still going strong makes it a successful project and nowhere near failed!!

We are expecting the bullish price to pump 60k straight up even against all odds. Those who are well position for the market can see the evidence this night is already 30k plus. I can only believe that bitcoin will do better than ever, though not withstanding we should invest wisely while waiting the pump.
As much as am on Bitcoins side, let's not only anticipate pumps only as our markets have Bulls and bears getting at each other and whoever wins decides where markets go.
Besides if you aren't a hodler waiting for a pump, you can actually make money going long or short and don't need to always wait for the pumps, let's get ahead of the game! Trade smarter not harder.

If my plans works out am ready to buy more and store! But what's your take on the pump? Do you see it coming or am just doing illusion?
Let's hear from you.
So many events that work in favour of Bitcoin...
  • The highly anticipated BTC halving
  • Spot ETF approval
  • Ferrari and other big companies adopting crypto payments direct/indirectly
1116  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Use Crypto Signals? on: October 16, 2023, 02:16:32 PM
There are a lot of Crypto Signal Providers - about 5 of them are at the top of the list.
Top list?? Which list and what's the credibility of this source making the list !?

And the fact that I also know that some of these signal providers are imposters that are in a habit of reposting paid up signals and claiming to be their work all in trying to lure users into paying for subscriptions for a service they aren't good at.

They claim 80% accuracy.
I googled reviews and I read nothing but good things about them.
If they were bad signals people would give bad reviews.

If they do have 80% accuracy, then anyone who uses them would become wealthy in a short time.
Do you use any crypto signals?
Firstly when it comes to trading, I know for a fact that no one has this high of a winning percentage especially that they have most likely been trading for a while and this is clearly a cooked up number!

Secondly, reviews can be bought and anything that praises the service should be taken with a pinch of salt because we all no the reviews are fake .

Best advice is try make time to learn how to trade on your own and avoid the reliance of third parties that forward other peoples work and likely trade on demo to fake their profits.
1117  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Reward for a Trading Mentor on: October 16, 2023, 12:25:08 PM
I have a fair knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. I can hold down a good conversation in it however when it comes to trading, I have come to the point where I need to up my game.
Great you have identified your shortfalls, time to grab the the bull by its horns and sharp your trading skills, good luck.

What is the best reward for mentorship? How do you think I should reward the mentor when I have one? And how often should this be?
Best reward a student can give their mentor is them proving to themselves that they have the full understanding of the mentors strategy and ready to go out their on their own to milk the markets.

And why think of rewarding a mentor when I believe that their services are hardly free, and they get their joy from these subscriptions.

If you guys can give me some ideas, it will help me to take charge of the conversation when I meet with the potential mentor.

Thanks.
Forget about the rewards, just enroll yourself for a trading class and in no time you will be a pro (with practice of course)
1118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Drake's Curse. on: October 16, 2023, 08:56:27 AM
Now, the big question is this.... Is Drake being funded by Stake.com to make these huge bets, because he is an affiliate and a brand ambassador for Stake.com.  Huh
Naturally people who place such big bets on their personal accounts never put such bets out for the world to see, but with Drake it's different and being the brand ambassador  this puts stake name on the gambling map and also shows the world they are able to handle big bets without a problem which is also  Drake doing his job as a marketing and sales personnel !

The same thing apply to his occasional gambling streams, where he gives away tons of money. It is one thing using your own money, but paid streamers are playing with casino money.

Will we ever know what happens behind closed doors.... right.  Tongue
Am pretty sure his playing on the companies account as he has other ways Stake pays for his patronage... probably his cut is based on commissions and all new members he onboards to Stake.
1119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Drake's Curse. on: October 16, 2023, 07:17:45 AM
Ouch, how do you even explain to your friends that you  lost a bet but your pick was the right one  Cry

Actually this loss is proof of how far greed can go and has nothing to do with the curse, had drake gone with match winner he would have gotten back that 850k with lower profits but wanted to get more money on this, better luck next time Drake.

I don't know about being "cursed" but I think he made a logical decision on Logan winning by KO or TKO. He just made a bad choice placing bets on these types of matches where it's more likely to get rigged than real professional boxing.
Wait a second, are you saying this match was rigged and all that choking and stuff was planned all along ??

AFAIK if a boxer has discipline issues, such off course behaviour is expected and that is what happened and got DQed
