1121  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you expect better, but then impulsively jump into things due to FOMO? on: September 02, 2023, 01:06:39 AM
Hey all, I am new here: I've been reading a lot, and not posting much at first. You have a great place to learn at BCT. When trading crypto do you expect better, from yourself, but then impulsively jump into things due to FOMO? Has anyone reading this ever found a cure? How do you permanently change and naturally be patient? Thanks all.
There is no perfect trader, some might actually done the fomo act, even me when I am too excited about something I tend to fomo a lot and resulting to burn up instead. Thats how the market usually it pointed out on the opposite direction you expect and if you dont got patient youll definitely burn out and lose your position and sell into loss instead.
1122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Unable to restore all the ETH addresses in my Meta Mask on: September 01, 2023, 11:19:11 PM
OP since you are using a new computer its normal that what you imported on your new device would be the first address or main wallet under that seed phrase so when you want to see other addresses belong to that seed or private key, you need to follow this particular step saif by John.

You need to just add the accounts by clicking on "Add account" in the meta mask wallet.  Meta Mask wallet will by default add all your addresses in the same sequence as they were present in your old computer.
1123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free promoting a project by managing careless manager! on: September 01, 2023, 10:50:59 PM
A manager is getting good money as his remuneration but a hunter is just wasting time. So make yourself experts to work on bounty and abandon the bounty of such a budget.
Fell free to quota because of my little experience.
Well its not easy to be a bounty manager even for altcoins or paid in weekly. By doing so, you need some skills and patience and also knowledge herr on forum. For example in signature campaign, how would you check if the participants are well versed or not spamming. Or on social media if they are real or legit users. Many things are needed in order to be at that position. So Im sure they well deserved those. For joining campaign with little budget or small compensation, I think it will depend on the user if he wanted to join or not so its not mandatory.
1124  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is DeFi an aging, over-hyped mess or a great thing? on: September 01, 2023, 05:27:59 AM
As you already mentioned, the hacks and bear market have made it look to be dying but it's still in its early days, so we might see some innovative DeFi products and services that are actually secure for users in the not-so-distant future.
Almost all are hoping for that and we cant blame some investors and users for having their fear as scams and hacks arent funny when you talk about million in $ that has been stolen by some lousy exploiters of flaws in one's code. I dont know if this is appropriate since they are trying to emptied funds from a natural defi activity for what? Their own greed and funds to support their more heinous activities. There are some white hackers that doing that only for learning and returning funds to the owners but some really doing it for thieving which isnt good for defi's future.
1125  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is DeFi an aging, over-hyped mess or a great thing? on: August 31, 2023, 09:18:31 PM
What do you think, are we looking at a passing fad, something that gets "re-branded or re-invented" after the hacks settle down, and/or is DeFi currently on a path to keep getting stronger?
Defi wouldnt die since its become one of the foundation of altcoins. You may seem it dying but thats just because of the bear scenario. Different protocols have lost or been gone due significant factors like, lack of users, funds and even due to breach of some hackers and exploits of their codes. But there are bigger projects operates on defi and keeps building. Its just one way or another defi would definitely go back again with a bigger purpose I suppose.
1126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS secures regulatory approval in Japan, will trade against yen on: August 31, 2023, 07:07:33 PM
The main question that I want to ask is that I do not consider EOS as one of the coins that I should buy, but this news is convincing me. Is EOS worth buying and hold for the next bull run coming after bitcoin halving?
Thats a great news or advance for EOS not every coin can be traded against someone's currency especially Japan a strong nation for innovation. However, Is been a while since they make any noise in the social media. I wonder whats its current status or development progress. Not a fan of eos, but did some activity before during 2018 to 2019. If ever they make a comeback probably EOS will be one of the good competitor but they should work hard since a lot of L1 or new L2 products are much more good in terms of investors eye.
1127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your altcoins for bull session (Between Rank 30-200) on: August 30, 2023, 04:50:18 PM
Since no one can predict accurately then better to be safe. If the current level goes down to $20k then altcoins are gonna bleed to death. Transferring to less volatile like bitcoin and eth will be best choice for alts or better yet use stablecoin or stay on that for a while until confirmation of a reversal it could also be a good opportunity to stack out for alts. But for holders, justvlike me better to be on safer coins or coins that has active use case on their platform.
1128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PEPE's $16M Nightmare: Ex-Team Under Fire on: August 30, 2023, 09:25:19 AM
Finally people will see that PEPE is a shitcoin. I mean, a lot of people knew that, but some were trying to convince me that PEPE is legit.
It is a shitcoin and regardless whether its legit or not everyone must have a critical thinking on taking profits when you encounter something like this. We all knew that anonymous projects are tend to rug and thus type isnt different to those since Pepe become a mainstream memecoin. Imagine old members of a team stole money and give up their friendship over what $16m maybe it is worth to change heart but a very unprofessional action on their part.
1129  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advice and more clarification about the forum on: August 30, 2023, 07:05:38 AM
Like a downloadable files? No need for that as you can scan different section anf pinned messages on Beginners and Help section. Just read them and you are good to go. But you could download the bitcoin whitepaper and read it. It can help to add knowledge on bitcoin aside from the idea here on forum.
1130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About Altcoins Investment Experience on: August 30, 2023, 05:27:43 AM
I did invest in lots of altcoins and i received many tokens from bounties as reward. I experienced that, most of the tokens turns into shitcoin or dead after a few months.
Since its a bounty you can expect mostly of them to turn to worthless. Thats why doing bounty is make sure whay you choose is worth it to do cause youll gonna do some effort for the tokens. When it comes to investment. Doing one with bounty programs isnt suitable cause it might not be progress but its case to case basis.

Maybe picking top tier project as investment is wiser than newly projects with unknown reputation. But there are some with potential you could put up early as long as you are aware of the risk.
1131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop Events, Testnet Events is not an investment! on: August 29, 2023, 12:02:56 PM
TBH, I'm thinking of joining in these testnets because of the threads you've created regarding these projects that are doing some testnets etc. but after seeing this one, I think I will be back in the part where I'll be hesitant in doing it again
Well its up to you actually. These testnet are trials and error anyway. Some could got big money too or low. It really depends, its not like a promise good reward so it was also always a risk.

Speaking of free money, those who are joining these kind of activities more often must lower their expectations. There's no free lunch here.
Yes, if they did joined testnet like these, they should not expected so much since its a testnet. Maybe for me try less participants or less noise projects to be sure of a good rewards.
1132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Only good coins are listed on top exchange? on: August 28, 2023, 08:15:18 PM
No way Roll Eyes
The listing fees of the best exchanges are huge, so any project can be listed for money and it is not the best coin for that.
Moreover one should not rush to invest after seeing the listing on a good exchange because the development of the project will be more dependent on an investor.
Maybe its true. Theres a fee but there are projects that are listed for free and exchange can gain advantage on this due to their indemand capability to have huge volume. Meaning there are lots of people that trading that coins and big exchanges favor that, see most airdrops projects that get listed surely they are free of fee.
1133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hong Kong officially launches its first Bitcoin and crypto trading platform on: August 28, 2023, 04:16:00 PM
This is a good move to crypto adoption in that region since it’ll gain more use and popularity there. Privacy of ownership while trading with those platforms will be very limited. Overall, I think it is still a good development looking to the mass adoption of bitcoin we are anticipating for.
If those people there doesnt care of Government rules about crypto regulations of Hongkong maybe theres no problem. Surely few will hesitant to use it due to privacy reason but who knows how this will turn out since they just started. But this means that the crypto are now being accepted already and thats one part of advance in adoption.
1134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tornado Cash founder released on bail on: August 28, 2023, 01:34:37 PM
Tornado Cash founder , Roman Storm, has been released on bail. He was charged on a money laundering case of $1 billion by US department of Justice. At least, him being charged is a good sign that it is not easy to get away with crypto scams now.
Maybe its a providence. Its not like he really scam or do the crime but Government must be compelling to investigate the case and it only a protocol for those to be related but we knew he only do the tool to develop it but since it escalate and related to hacking from a big group from North Koreans.
1135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to identify shitcoins? on: August 27, 2023, 10:03:32 PM
As an investor, i did a lots of invest in altcoins. Those were suppose to be good that time with having good hype, good team and community. But with having all of thats, most of altcoins scam after a time! I wonder for some altcoins, they were suppose not to be go but they scammed without any reason! And hundreds of altcoins are in my wallet, which are turn into dead shitcoin now.
There are plentt of developers trying to do a lot of tokens expecting some will boom and thats how shitcoin works. You can find some tokens in the market that arent listed on coingecko and coinmarketcap that do a good run but how these improved? Of course when buyers and sellers create some huge volume and liquidity. Youll notice if they are gonna scam the projects from the codes and dont lock their liquidity thats a clear sign of potential rug or scam soon.
1136  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Save in Stable Coin Or Save in Local Currency? on: August 27, 2023, 06:30:54 AM
As a novice in crypto, I want to take enough time to learn more on how the market works before investing. But I'm really concerned on how to keep my money safe as I await the right time to invest.

Do you think it's better to save in stable coin like usdt or I should just keep the money in the bank?
Difficult question indeed. Saving currency in banks doesnt give you benefit due to low interest and while putting in stablecoin means you are prone to the possible negative things that could happen on usdt if ever something happened. But if you are using stablecoins in defi you could gain more than saving in the banks.

So to answer the question maybe to be safe allocate your fund to crypto and stables and used that and also save some on bank for emergency purposes. The allocation defend on your risk apetite.
1137  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Careless Trading on: August 27, 2023, 05:46:18 AM
It is carelessness to trade without a plan as the financial market is too risky.
I know some method like this its called degen. They just keep buying shitcoins and memecoins and waiting for a pop up. Some dont work for them but quite effective on others who are also doing a degen but with a mixed up of deep research like whats the project stance or affiliated influencers. Simple as that they gain profits, but also losses due to carelessness and unplan movement.
1138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is exchange based tokens worth for hold? on: August 26, 2023, 04:49:32 AM
As an investor, i bought so many exchange based tokens! Bnb, uniswap, kucoin (kcs), cake, houbi (ht),  FTP and so on. Undoubtedly those exchangers are so big and reputable. I though those altcoins will pump if exchange get larger during time and if exchange add more pair with their altcoin on their platform, then price will boom but most of those are like shitcoin, dumped 70-80℅ in long run except bnb. So what do you think? I'm no longer going to invest any exchange coin anymore!
Based on results in the past it is worth it for quite sometime but it doesnt mean or guaranteed you forever privilege with that. There are numerous exchange fell down and didnt survive their closure. But some still retain and probably continue. Its always up to you to weigh the pros and cons or take advantage of the time while they are working best for you but dont be complacent enough to trust more than you are willing especially if you are risking your own money.
1139  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tornado cash founders charged with money laundering/sanctions violations on: August 26, 2023, 03:48:18 AM
Yes, it is their job. We are not questioning this. We are questioning if it was right for the government to imprison people who had no connection to the crimes that are happening through the software that they only created.
I assume the developer got arrested but that doesnt mean he was already imprisoned. I believe he is just investigated as per protocols and probably out by now. We know how things work, since they dont have a conclusive proof of allegations made.

But the cryptospace is giving some of this power back to the people. The government does not want this.
Did I say I didnt believe that? I am here on forum and of course also a fan of decentralized approach but we live mixed up with the Government isnt it? there are protocols that we should also followed as part of being its citizen. Im just in the middle.

In any case, if you want the government to control the whole cryptospace so that criminals cannot use it then we should demand for more centralization of our favorite projects and demand for more invasive regulations.
The hell I can be control by them. Not even work for the government eversince why I let them control me? Surely they acted like that due to the incidents happening on crypto. If theres no hack then surely they will shut their freakin mouth. The problem here is the composition of Government which mixed up with the sharks who wanted power.
1140  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tornado cash founders charged with money laundering/sanctions violations on: August 25, 2023, 07:50:45 PM
Don't be fooled for a second in to thinking this is anything other than the government trying to control you. The government are absolutely fine with trillions of dollars being laundered when it's their buddies in the fiat system who are doing it. But they will use any excuse to crack down on tools and services which prevent them from spying on and controlling their populace.
Yes I know this pretty well but whose job it is to nullified these kind of activity on their part? Still its the Government and how this things could turn? If everybody used decentralized approach isnt it. But when this gonna occur? A massive boycott on Government does it ever happened before? Anyone who tried to defy are being comprehended accordingly. The truth hurts I know. If there is someone could change that without being fearful and got supports(literally do it not by words but action) I be willing to follow him.

Crypto is being destroyed slowly they know its threat thats why this kind things happened. So they are showcasing their powers now until it can be stopped yet. Damn rough world.
