1121  Economy / Services / Re: LoyceV's Avatar for Rent on: December 11, 2019, 06:34:51 PM
Thirty-eighth week paid.
Thanks again!

Posting from mobile now, as I'm very happy with my newly discovered ability to add "on mouse hover" to links in my signature!
And on mobile I'm slightly slower than my usual.
1122  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Earn satoshis by completing free offers and surveys - Payouts via Lightning ⚡ on: December 11, 2019, 05:51:48 PM
Regarding 1), what do you kind of things were you looking for in the homepage? We would definitely love to add more information to it. Let us know!
You can start by showing all available offers, if like to see what you require to earn 100000 sat on Lightning.

After testing several wallets, I'm sticking to a custodial LN wallet for now. That makes transactions much easier, saves on fees, and for amounts of only a few dollars' worth I don't mind the risk.
1123  Other / Meta / Re: I'm running for becoming the new Trading Discussion Moderator on: December 08, 2019, 07:36:17 PM
It doesn't work like that.
First, you should post this in Meta.
Second, I'm curious how many good reports you have on the board you want to moderate.
1124  Economy / Services / [LoyceMobile] Signature available! Accepting Bitcoin Lightning (LN) only on: December 07, 2019, 07:40:36 PM
The catch
Advertise in my signature! Here's the catch: for this, I only accept payments in Bitcoin Lightning!

Why
Part of this is to promote LN, part of this is to increase my (currently very small) funds on the Lightning Network.
If you haven't used LN before, I don't mind explaining how it works. Just know that it's experimental, and you shouldn't send more than you can afford to lose to any LN-wallet.

Where
I'm only offering a small (although negotiable) part of my signature up for rent, and it comes with Full Member restrictions (such as: font size can't be adjusted, tables aren't allowed and "glow" is not possible). Using different colors is allowed.
There are currently 3 spots "Advertise here for LN" in my signature. I might change this in the future.

Offers
Here's another catch: I'll accept any amount, but that also means your advertising spot can be taken by someone else with 1-day-notice if I receive a better offer. If that happens, I'll return your payment pro rated if you paid up front, or you'll have to pay only until "the new guy" takes over. To spice things up, you can also use your 1-day-notice to come up with a counter offer.
Or, at my discretion, I can rent out another part of my signature to someone else. You don't get an exclusive claim.

I can make a deal per post, per day, per week, per month or per year. Payment can be fixed in Bitcoin or dollars, but has to be made in Bitcoin Lightning. If you get a refund, it's based on the LN-amount you paid, not the dollar value at the time. I prefer to be paid upfront, but I'm flexible if you're trusted enough.

Disclaimer
I only advertise services that I like. I reserve the right to reject offers I don't like. If the service I'm advertising turns into a scam, I reserve the right to stop advertising it without returning payment.
I make no promises whatsoever for the number of posts I'll create in the future. If you don't like the idea of paying for posts that I don't make, feel free to make an offer per post.
I reserve the right to change anything at any time.

No way!
At the right offer, my personal text can be rented too, but I prefer to keep that personal. Let's say "the right offer" is higher than any sane person would want to pay, so basically I just like my personal text the way it is. But you're free to try Tongue

My sales pitch
My main account has been part of the ChipMixer Signature Campaign since September 2017. This campaign is generally known for accepting only high-quality posters. On mobile, I barely ever create long posts because of the small keyboard (in rare occasions, such as for creating this topic, I use my PC instead of mobile to post).

At the moment of writing updating
I have made 540 640 860 posts.
I'm the 825th 709th 696th most Merited user (this account was created after the introduction of Merit and didn't receive any airdropped Merit). See Full Merit history.
This account is a DT2 DT3 DT2-member, and has reported "557 623 894 posts with 100% accuracy (533 597 good, 3 5 bad, 21 23 28 unhandled)".

History
  • January 5, 2019 - February 5, 2019: Timelord2o67 has both spots for 100,000 LN Satoshis.
  • January 27, 2019 - March 1, 2019: Timelord2067 extended the above 2 spots, and took a third spot for 150,000 LN Satoshis.
Be the first second third to advertise on LoyceMobile!

No spam

1125  Other / Meta / Re: A suggestion regarding "Multiple posts in a row" on: December 07, 2019, 05:17:47 PM
I often break this rule. Not when I'm replying to multiple posts (I edit them all into one), but for these reasons:
1. A post reaches the maximum of 64kB and I have more to add.
2. I'm adding new information to an existing topic after a while. I could copy the last post and add it to my new post, but that feels like cheating my signature campaign (because I've "used" that post already and it doesn't feel right to get paid for the same information again).
3. My last post in the topic was merited and I want to keep it as a reference.

I often report posts that break this rule too, so I'm glad moderators don't strictly enforce this rule all the time.

I can help you with this, but the exchange in my signature is easier than having me in between.

1129  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium does not decode private key BIP38 anymore after scanning NFC wallet on: December 02, 2019, 10:19:15 PM
I've tried everything but after typing in my passphrase Mycelium halts.
Could it be processing the data? BIP38 takes a lot of cpu power to decrypt.

LoyceV merit OP!

I scanned the QR code, and it works (but I didn't claim the sats).

How do you create this? Normally, you can't send Lightning without making a request first.
1131  Other / Meta / Re: Received 1 merit from Bitcoin Forum! on: December 02, 2019, 09:12:00 PM
Strange that the "forum" merit took over an hour to be added, whilst normal merits are instant.
Merit shows instantly on posts, but it can take a while to update in your profile and under your avatar.

1133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just earned my first 9$ in Bitcoin Cash, how can I grow it? on: November 29, 2019, 09:43:03 PM
Is there an easy way to quickly sell it and buy bitcoins without revealing ID's or location info?
The exchange in my signature should work just fine for this.
But, before doing this, make sure you have a real Bitcoin wallet ready, so you don't end up sending your coins on the wrong chain!
1134  Economy / Goods / Re: Buy game-protect's $38,000 debt from me - taking offers on: November 27, 2019, 08:15:48 PM
I'm just posting to say I love this thread! I can't offer you any chicken wings though, we just after them all.

Is weird seeing physical items being offered for digital goods, but in a way that makes this the right board again.
1135  Other / Meta / Re: Should we report questions that can be easily answered? on: November 26, 2019, 08:56:55 PM
I mean posts like following examples when the poster does not bother himself to visit the official website of a gambling website or an ICO/IEO.
That's just bump spam, dumb questions are an easy way to pretend involvement.

Summoning LoyceV to follow this thread, and offering my services to verify things when needed.
1137  Other / Meta / Re: The Art Contest has effects on merit distribution. How about merit sources? on: November 25, 2019, 09:00:47 PM
Note:
It means that the forum community were extremely active last week in the way they use their merits. They sent 8659 merits more than they usually did in previous weeks (at 4521, the weekly median).
All sources had their source Merit adjusted and thus reset to the full amount. I'm aiming to empty mine in 30 days, so long term I expect my monthly distribution to increase by about 400 now.
1138  Other / Meta / Re: What will the badges look like? Any Idea? on: November 25, 2019, 07:20:30 PM
I can't quote the locked topic, but theynos posted the badge already. See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5193860.msg52793373#msg52793373 :

1139  Economy / Lending / Re: New type of scam attempt targeting Lenders on: November 23, 2019, 06:20:41 PM
Tricky: a scammer could also contact both parties individuality at the same time, ask the other party to confirm by PM on Bitcointalk, and it'll be very difficult to spot there's a man in the middle attack going on!

All messages can be forwarded unedited, except for Bitcoin addresses.
