1121  Other / Off-topic / Re: The internet and it's importance to this present day generation on: January 06, 2024, 09:26:24 AM
I still remember that there's the telegrams, the letters and post offices for which is a good thing that I still see them around but not telegram, well, it's a name of a messaging app these days but an actual telegram is probably have been used by our grandpa's and great grandpas and mas.

but people of this days still look more lazy and complains very much of stress now do you think the internet made this generation to be more lazy or they just feel like being relaxed because they know things are now too easy or there is another thing beneath.
Please do well to share your opinion on this and you can add some of your points as well.
It's because of technology that has made everything faster and we think that this pace is really making us lazy when things are easy to do with. I think that there's the effect of being able in front of these monitors and have a lot of screen times and affects our mentality or cognitive thinking.
1122  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Good thing about your government? on: January 06, 2024, 08:55:44 AM
While basic education and health care are free, I should be okay with all of those and grateful with what the government provides to us.

I am one of those that have enjoyed the basic and free education and with the other services even if I won't be the one to take all of those free ones or with subsidies but as long as I see people get to enjoy it, I'm already happ where my taxes are going.
1123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich, average or poor. Who loses more? on: January 06, 2024, 08:22:36 AM
Rich losses more as they earn because they have enough money to take risk and they lost huge amount because their playing amount is a lot of more then a average gambler and poor. Rich has capacity to take more risk then poor. That's the reason when they earn they earn a lot. When they face loses the loss is more. That's the reason the riches losses more then poor and avarage gamblers.
While the rich have got more money, they're also having the more chance of winning because of how huge the bankroll they have.

Yeah, they're losing more because they're rich and they have a lot of money while on the side of the poor gamblers. When they lose, that's it and won't be followed quickly as they need to make some bucks again to gamble.

I guess that's the simplest thing about the comparison of the rich and the poor in gambling.
1124  Other / Off-topic / Re: What does your name mean? on: January 06, 2024, 07:43:37 AM
I don't know what's the meaning of my name as it is really a unique one and no one will definitely be able to guess here. And it is not my mom who named me.

But it was my grandmother.

It's interesting to know the reasons and histories behind people's names.
1125  Economy / Gambling / Re: UNREAL!! Sportsbet.io pays out a $42,000,000 USDT Casino WIN!! on: January 06, 2024, 07:00:59 AM
Congrats to all staff of sportsbet, I know it's a huge amount for you guys but it's also a milestone for the company and to the winner as well.
Why in the world would you congratulate the team knowing fully well that it's a huge loss for them? Lol!
It's not about the loss on them but it's about the pride that they're able to process this amount of payment. As I've said, it's the milestone on their end for having this type of win from someone who has started with a $50. Lol~~~!

The team should only be congratulated for dispersing such a humungous amount in a timely manner without any issues.
And that's what the OP is trying to show.
1126  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just HODL on: January 06, 2024, 02:02:19 AM
It can't be helped and stopped when many of them think that they'll win with trading. I don't encourage even my friends to trade when they don't even know how they'll make that much on it and how to read the market itself.

Even someone who's experienced will just simply tell to buy and hold and they're good to go with the upcoming bull run.

That's all they need to think of and if they wanna trade whether it's on the spot or futures, it's their money to play with.
1127  Economy / Gambling / Re: UNREAL!! Sportsbet.io pays out a $42,000,000 USDT Casino WIN!! on: January 05, 2024, 11:52:38 PM
Seriously, if I have that $50 I would have lose that probably in a few minutes of stay if unlucky. But wow, I guess that there will be media that's going to take your side Steve or anyone from sportsbet.io to have an interview and how this guy have made it.

It's literally a wheel of wish for the winner. Congrats to all staff of sportsbet, I know it's a huge amount for you guys but it's also a milestone for the company and to the winner as well.
1128  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your purpose for celebrating your birthday? on: January 05, 2024, 11:19:45 PM
Life is too short to not celebrate the additional year with our lives. But to me, whether I celebrate it or not, I'm totally good with it and had no problem at all.
Hats off!  For you. You understand life. Respect
We all will understand it as we get older and thanks to all of the past journeys and life lessons that I've been in.

While if there are still young guys out here reading threads like this, you'll get to see one day why we become passive and old. But that doesn't mean that our hearts get older too.

If you're good to celebrate it and able to do so, do it. It doesn't have to be birthday cakes or balloons or grand celebration. A simple rest day will do appreciating your life and we're like aging like fine wine.
1129  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading advice for newbies on: January 05, 2024, 10:47:13 PM
3. Take your time to practice demo trading before going into real trading.
There are advices that will be given but newbies will think it's one of the means to prohibit them from trading, if you're a newbie, don't open any trade option without comprehending with appropriate knowledge what the marker is all about, I don't want the mistake that happen to me repeat itself to any one I've known or seen online. Yeah, you're right. A newbie ought to become practically balance and accurate in triggering open trade and also closing trades on demo account for preparation for the main tasks ahead, before hooping for the real acounts.
And when they get into the real trading, it's fine to start with the minimum amount that the exchange requires them or even more than the minimum as long as they can take the possible loss of their actual starting capital.

Expect that it's not an easy thing for them when they start because everyone should start somewhere right? While for most of the starters, it's always like that.

Most results will be against to their will but after several trades and when you know how trading actually works, you'll create a strategy that you might want to test then.

1131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 05, 2024, 09:49:30 PM
I still think that Wemby has a lot more to improve, but people need to realize that as a 19 year old kid, maybe he is not as good as Lebron when he was that age, but to be fair nobody was as good as Lebron at 19. I believe that Wemby has shown flashes of amazing plays, he is definitely a superstar in the making, he is going to be a force to reckon with, but he does have one problem.
It is just the fans are expecting a lot because he's the no.1 draft this time. But it's true that there's still a lot of time for him to improve and his body needs to be stronger.

One thing for sure that he's got a chance and space on the NBA and with his team. It's just that it's too early for him and it is expected that this run won't be easy on him with his team.

Even Giannis admitted that Wemby is a great player
Yeah, he praised the kid but I think it's normal to praise one another athlete after the game.
1132  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: January 05, 2024, 09:15:26 PM
~snip~
We need to be wise and take decisions based on several reasons. We don't have to fall into trap that would hurt us a lot.
Gambling is one of the things we can do to make money for ourselves so we don't have depends on people around because we don't have money to take care of our bills. We need to be wise and not do something that will affect us in a way that could tarnish our image.
KYC is something we don't have to for e ourselves on or to be forced on us for no reason.
And if you care people around you, be ready to hear them say that gambling should be for fun and it's not a means to make money.

There's always this debate that you'll see here and everywhere. They have a point but you also have a point if you have a stance on why you think that you can make money from it which is visible.

The point is you just have to prove it that it worked for you because they might be telling that because it probably didn't worked for them.
1133  Other / Off-topic / Re: Resigned from day job today on: January 05, 2024, 08:17:16 PM
Isn't Illegal to resigned effectively ? because there is a one month grace period for the company to find your replacement?
Nope, it's not illegal to resign effectively. Yes, there will be a time that you need to render for your succession but if you have a valid reason, you can even be allowed not to render it anymore.

I've been into two jobs before that I did resigned effectively, the other one I have to render two weeks for the new hire to be taught by me.

The other one is good as soon as I have filed my resignation letter and it's the actual immediate effect.

@OP, it's okay. If you're no longer happy with the job and it is affecting your mental state, that's a good decision.

Thanks for your comments. Yes it was affecting my mental health. It impacted on my ability to get things done outside work. There are other jobs I can easily work at, so I'm looking forward to the future.
Good luck with that.

I've been there and done that. It is important to think of our mental wellness. If there are better jobs that don't have a lot of workload, pay lesser and you can easily work with happily, I'd choose that to do other things that I like.

But it is a bonus if that pays more or the same with the former.
1134  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you work toward hodling bitcoin? on: January 05, 2024, 07:47:55 PM
Based on what had happen to these early adopters who used Bitcoin as payment method, I realized that hodling 12 years ago might be different if we hodl right now but I know that one thing is for sure,
We are not sure about that.

There can be slips and moments that we might able to sell most of those when we've seen the peak and thought that it should stop there. It's going to be a different story but we'll never know for sure what actually is going to happen by that time.

the history will repeat itself so even hodling portions of Bitcoin nowadays does makes any sense if our goal is to achieve the same path in the future..
It does makes sense and have proven that all over these years.

1136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble on Bitcoin ETF approval results? on: January 05, 2024, 06:37:48 PM
It's a good one while it's still on the hot seat before the actual result come.

Anything that we can gamble on and with this, we're all waiting for the result so why not gamble with it?  Tongue

While everybody thinks that the chance of getting an approval is high, then the odds will be not that much for the yes(approval). But if you want to gamble and has the same belief that it will get a decline, get a no.

1137  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your purpose for celebrating your birthday? on: January 05, 2024, 06:04:12 PM
I don't celebrate my birthday but the time that I got married and I've got a kid already, I understand what's the essence and importance of it.

My kid likes to celebrate birthday and I was kind of forced to do it for the happiness. I have no complains but I see the happiness of a little kid within that and understood that we have to celebrate even the smallest things that we have in our lives.

Life is too short to not celebrate the additional year with our lives. But to me, whether I celebrate it or not, I'm totally good with it and had no problem at all.
1138  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The best decision you can take on: January 04, 2024, 11:50:42 PM
so what makes people to lose or run into loss in trading is for them not to understand the basics of trading
And they go quickly to trade because they think it is easy as what is told by the influencers.

That's where it is becoming wrong when they always watch all of those contents believing that everything on this market is so easy. But they don't realize that they're doing it wrongly for having that belief and dependence on them.

It's wrong to think that everyone can succeed in trading. I'd believe with investing but with trading, it doesn't fit everyone's patience.
1139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I could have won bigger. on: January 04, 2024, 11:19:16 PM
IMO, it won't be bigger or the same because this is how this universe works. If you try to do something different in the past then you won't have the result that you've got.

So, just be it and let it all happen when it's with the results but I agree that your friend you have paid you already.

This is why I don't lend my friends anymore, if they ask me little money, I wouldn't expect it to be back and I'll just tell them that pay it whenever they are comfortable.

Yeah, people regret not betting more when they win, and regret betting a lot when they lose.

At the end of the day it is just a random event, and you never know the outcome of it until you actually observe the result.
That's true.

It is spontaneous when something like this happens. So don't regret that you've won more if you have that money because you could have lost it more.

Much better that you've won and not dwelled into regardless of the situation that you have been in. And to all folks that likes to take loans without paying them on time, change for the better this 2024.
1140  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bittrex withdraw not possible, aammount too low? on: January 04, 2024, 10:52:33 PM
So I have like 50 cents in assets and obviously cant withdraw.
Understand that most exchanges have minimum limit of withdrawal. But if this is on Bittrex, did you missed the announcement about their closure?

Just leave it there as the operations have stopped a month ago since it's just a few centavo and despite they have no deadline yet for withdrawal, don't bother so.
