1123  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why do members switch campaigns always? on: October 13, 2023, 07:19:19 AM
Maybe this discussion started the matter, but icopress implemented a new rule when we talked about switching from campaign to campaign. It is clear what is to be achieved in this way, but I am not sure about the sustainability of this rule.
I think the icopress approach is meant to preserve value on all the past work done and paid for and I like it , especially incorporated with the rule of not jumping to a competitor project means all posts benefit the project that paid for it and not the new sig company being promoted, hence jumpers are most likely not his target market.

This reminded me of the question : "WHy do people change partners always" .
Lol now this is funny  Grin but honestly can we compare signature campaigns to a real life relationship lol

Otherwise we now only have 5 1/2 days to meet the weekly quota because nobody knows what time exactly will be the cut next week.

cheers
Week 50 on the spreadsheet says 10/12/2023 - 10/18/2023 , guess same schedule as always...Thursday to Wednesday.
1125  Economy / Speculation / Re: Share your opinion on the market. on: October 12, 2023, 06:52:57 PM

I saw this image from a telegram page. I don't know but thought it wise to bring it here to the forum. Maybe we can brainstorm discussion-wise based on individuals opinions. From the image as shown above what's your prediction on the direction of the market next move?  Feel free to express your opinion be you a professional or trading expert or not.
This is a 2h timeframe meaning it's not really a long term prediction which is a 1week-2weeks give or take prediction, and the current range it's in is between ~28600-30000 based on how I trade and it's already at the ranges low and should try to take out the ranges high as the high failed to break the low making it the perfect target to create a new higher high...and making this a bullish run atm.
1126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: benefits of having mature accounts at 3 casinos (personal experience) on: October 12, 2023, 03:39:50 PM
I don't know why I thought mature accounts would mean aged casino accounts but after reading the write up got your interpretation Tongue, anyway why not call them VIP accounts especially that this is what they simply are and their incentive of all these of bonuses, rains, spins etc
Otherwise in a competitive crypto gambling market, these companies need to be creative and first Shand experience shows what they have going is working to keep their customers.
1127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you ever feel tired of waiting? on: October 12, 2023, 02:41:57 PM
To be honest, I've had this question for quite a while. I keep seeing people claiming to just hold and hold; it'll take one, two, three, or whatever years for the next bull market. However, I'm often wondering: do you ever feel tired of waiting for Bitcoin to thrive?
Let's be honest here, the real hodlers holding for several years never comment on such threads and only get to be known once they move their coins after a couple of years.
The rest of as just hodl for a quick flip and do this over and over again.

The past few months, or the whole past year—I'm not sure I've lost track of time—have been quite stale. Bitcoin has been ranging between $25.000 and $28.000 for quite a while. The volatility compared to other periods is lower than we're used to, or at least, to what I was used to in the past.
Speaking from a traders point of view , a consolidating market is never fun to trade in and you don't want to be caught in it...and talking of the less volatile markets can we say the whale's are selling less these days as we await the coming of the halving  Roll Eyes

I feel that there isn't too much excitement and this adrenaline feeling anymore; suddenly you'd see Bitcoin climb or crash; you'd be curious when it'd stop, what your next move would be, or simply feel accomplished seeing your money's value grow. Price movements are quite insignificant at this point compared to the huge pumps or dumps that occurred in 2020 or 2021.
Guess go with the follow and the fact the the cost of a whole Bitcoin is much higher than a few years back, nobody is being careless with their coins..

and this seems to be a regular occurrence this month, any official standing of what's happening to avoid speculation and all...

1130  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Up Move Incoming on: October 11, 2023, 08:10:03 PM
As the topic title says, here is a Daily Timeframe chart that shows how Bitcoin broke the resistance trendline and is now at a great 0.33 Fibonacci support level.
It will be going up for sure from here and the first target will be the 0.66 Fibonacci Level i.e. $29.4k and then $31k.

You see Fibonacci support level, I see Fibonacci retracement levels and if this is correct..

this is actually saying the price will pull back ~50% to 70% and then continue going down based on the given market structure, unless it breaks price at the 100% retracement.

Let me know what do you think is about to happen.
By eyeballing the charts, for me price becomes bullish the second it closes above $28500 as this is a clear shift of momentum which should influence more buyers to come in and push the price further up, otherwise we are still caught up in the bearish run,

1132  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is a Standing Desk the Right Choice for Traders? on: October 11, 2023, 06:00:22 PM

But here's a question for you, fellow Bitcointalk traders: Does standing really help make better and faster decisions in the high-speed trading world?

Honestly there's a whole lot of stuff that goes with a great trading session, good mental health, enough sleep/rest, no distractions etcetera and without any of this no matter how much you stand these could negatively affect your decision making !!!!

Besides if you going at chart's only for the high liquidity sessions ie the New York session or London session you might stand the session out but if you will be looking at the charts for several hours I don't think you will focus.

Have you tried it, and did it work for you?
Not a fan of standing as I know standing for too long puts pressure on your feet.

Or do you believe that the comfort of a super ergonomic chair is the key to staying sharp during those long trading hours?
Lol ergonomic chairs just give you a fancy experience and won't enhance your skills in any way, you don't believe me ask games who invest in these the most.
1133  Other / Meta / Re: bitcoin discussion board have lot of unecessary questions on: October 11, 2023, 04:09:51 PM
My observation centres around merit as it seems like of late very few are going round the forum and users seem to have realised that topic starters in these boards have higher chances of farming merit than making actual contributions on these threads hence the raise in new topics.

Besides you can tell if these unnecessary questions die a natural death because 7/10 times the question has been asked before and is just been repeated via paraphrasing.

If you find any posts that you think are not worthy to be on that board, then report them to the mods.
The immediate solution:)
1134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: October 11, 2023, 03:51:31 PM
Gambling is a place to spend money, although many gamblers consider casinos to be a place to earn money. But in reality, more gamblers lose their money at casinos or gambling sites. So I think all of us here probably have almost the same experience, namely losing a lot of money gambling
We all have had the gambling experience but totally different stories to tell.. besides it's not a situation of one shoe fits all, and as far as I know, everyone has their own way of getting luck on their side and don't believe we are all running in losses as the assumption above!!

Besides I think people who are more of sports gambling have better luck than the casino games because risk factor is naturally high here.

I also lost money because I lost on gambling, but maybe not that much. But I know there are people who spend a lot of money for gambling. In your opinion, what should we do if we have lost a lot of money on gambling? Do we keep gambling to win so we can cover up previous losses? or stop and work normally and leave gambling? Or do you have other suggestions?
Bad days are very normal and if you have one of those days that you lose alot then better try on a different day to see if luck is on your side.
1135  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Bitcoin really risky as they say? on: October 11, 2023, 05:23:28 AM
Generally, most people sees Bitcoin as being of high risk , meanwhile, others tend to disagree with the fact of being risky.
We can't dispel this fact as risk is definitely there...if you don't use good security measures to protect your coins then risk of being hacked will exist, if you use a hot wallet and happen to use a computer to surf the internet the risk of being phished does exist, and the fact the scammers and hackers are out there looking for their next target..risk will always exist.

Bitcoin can be understood from different angles on how it will become beneficial to one. Either as a store of value(So as to avoid taxes), Investment or means of payment.
Store of value to avoid taxes can never be the understanding of store of value, afaik this is in the lines of holding or locking in value to avoid a local currency from further depreciation because of inflation or whatever reasons!!

I believe there are a lot of different ways to invest your time and money, with a little work and the right teacher, one can easily invest in bitcoin.
Agreed.
1136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I want to fulfill my mother's dream of building a house with Bitcoin. on: October 11, 2023, 12:54:32 AM
That's one way to honour thy parents by gifting them a house, but as an individual you can not take shortcuts in life...trust the process and all this will make sense in the future.
You say current resources are going to financing of your education then that's a good thing you have going and hope the grades speak for themselves to show the parents that it's money well spent and not for them to regret this investment !!

firstly I want to start my Bitcoin journey through trading, after making some money from trading I plan to invest in Bitcoin for four years. These four years I will hold my investment and also save the money earned from trading or signature campaign for four years so that after four years I can start building the house.

You must pray for me so that I can fulfill my mother's dream.
It's good to have a positive mind but just so you know trading is no walk in the park, it needs alot of sacrifices made to succeed in it and the discipline is on another level... otherwise good luck as you conquer your crypto journey.

1137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone encountered any dog race betting here? on: October 10, 2023, 08:34:55 PM
Use to see dog racing of Greyhounds on some old sportsbooks but seems it was never a popular sport which left horse racing to be the only surviving sport in this category. Probably animal rights activists did get their wish but this is my assumption...

Btw Even if we talk about horse racing today, very few bookies would say they have these game types because
few users actually play these .

I became curious for sometime now about dog racing as I have not seen it here
Especially with most of our crypto bookies, very few can
1138  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You data is not safe on centralized exchanges on: October 10, 2023, 08:14:18 PM
Things I tell family and friends, if you haven't entered or played any lottery and you receive a message or call saying you have won X amount yet you did not play/buy a lottery ticket then you automatically know it's a scam!!! Same principle can be applied here, you have passed KYC and documents aren't expiring soon why would an exchange request you to go through the process again without any heads up before expiry... sometimes it takes your sixth sense to see through such scams.

By the way ,with below standards of safeguarding user data why do exchanges feel compelled to carry KYC checks on clients when they themselves can't guarantee security??

Looking at the nature of your service , consider upgrading your account to copper membership for a small fee  from here >>>> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote and enjoy the benefits of posting images without restrictions and  lesser waiting times to send private messages or posts for your customers/potential client's as brand-new/newbies have certain limits not until you rank up.

Lastly, welcome to the Bitcointalk forum  Cool
1140  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Here are some forum features that I discovered after spending some time here. on: October 10, 2023, 04:13:10 PM
Let's see how well I know the forum  Roll Eyes

  • Quick edit button:  Not familiar but just tried it now and love this feature, which is far much better than hitting the edit button Smiley
  • Hide Button: I have a few local boards hidden because of the language barrier, no offence to those from those boards.
  • Forum stats: Use to use this a few years back but today I have my go to boards/threads for the extra info
  • Hide Avatars and Signature: honestly wasn't even aware of this but on the marketing side of what different projects to to achieve with this, I think it would hurt their exposure  Roll Eyes
  • Watchlist: I have used this for boards I want to see of any new content but if am not mistaken threads you comment on automatically get to your watchlist .

I don't know if anyone uses this, but here it goes!

-snip-
I have seen it but never get to use it ,and seeing how it works I think am wired in such a way to first see first page before making a contribution to the topic to avoid going off topic.
