Trusting a casino because they have been in business for several years is one thing but blindly trusting a new or established casino simply on the basis of it having a licence from Curaçao is unwise.

There are cases in this forum (scam accusations) where casinos and gaming sites with Curaçao licences have serious scam accusations against them but the Curaçao authority that issued the licence did nothing to resolve the issues. They have no real authority to force casinos and gaming sites to do anything to resolve complaints. It is just pointless.

Curaçao licences are just shit tbh, they are just scraping up the money and providing their licences to sites even without verifying whether the site operates under their respective terms or they are doing shady things. As you said, Curaçao authority never involves themselves in any disputes I have ever heard which comes under their hood. We cannot trust any gambling website based on licence alone because even with such an 'established licence' can scam us and some websites which are already established but do not have a license, serve their users honestly for years.
1142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The main driving force behind bitcoin rally on: November 05, 2020, 04:59:22 PM
Institutional investors are done accumulating lots of btc through both, the exchanges and OTC deals (those through exchanges too) and it looks like not enough btc is now available on the exchanges and even in OTC deals, so it is pushing the price higher and higher because the buyers are increasing and sellers are either tired or out of btc, or they do not want to sell their coins 'cheap' so we may see new ATH during the period of November-December and repeat the history. Organic growth is looking better but it should not come down this time like it did last time.

<<>>

Made me wonder how come 0 fee. All I found was a reddit post and could not understand the logic.
Unless the mempool is pretty empty why would miners "want" to add 0 fee transactions and is there really a correlation between how old the transaction input is and associated fee ?

Are you trying to say that the owner just transferred the funds to show that they can move a billion dollars for a very small fee of $12? It was not worth a billion dollars back in April 2013, was slightly worth between $8.5mn to $13mn as the price of btc was $123-$182 in those times. And in those days, miners used to include 0 fee transactions too in their mined blocks but this does not seem to have anything to do with this move at the moment.
1144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One of the top 10 btc wallets hacked? on: November 04, 2020, 01:01:29 AM
The price though is being pumped right now, closing in to $14k.

Watch out, let the news come out. It is not even published officially and you see the price, it looks like a double top is being made on the charts.

I try to search the community with that bitcoin address,

69,000 Bitcoin Transaction? - 2013

They believed that it was 'just a move and the owners were playing around'. This one is more intense as a move specially during the election days.

Back then there's a lot of speculation as who own the bitcoin address, someone says it's from DPR (Dread Pirate Roberts), I'm sure you are familiar with that name.

Ross Ulbricht? Wasn't he sentenced to life prison and is currently in jail?
1145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One of the top 10 btc wallets hacked? on: November 03, 2020, 11:59:21 PM
thats interesting! this is the reason why we dont need to store our coins in third party wallets. if they are already moving the funds, owners should have noticed it by now. and definitely these hackers will be using mixers before the news explodes

at any moment, we will learn what btc wallet you are talking about here...

Do not mix this with a third party wallet hack, I said that this wallet had $1 billion worth btc in it already and the owners did not have the private key or seed to decrypt and use it, so they put it on a dark market for sale, so the buyer tries to decrypt it. But it seems the hackers have already done the job and after decrypting the wallet, moved the funds out of it. This wallet was one of the oldest and top 10 wallets, please read the post carefully before you react to it.

And it is not possible to use mixers because exchanges will not allow them to get away with that money if they go the mixing way. OTC is the only way ahead and it is also highly likely that the owners of that wallet may have been waiting for the right time to do this and this time when US elections are going on, is the perfect time to do this.
1146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / One of the top 10 btc wallets hacked? on: November 03, 2020, 11:47:51 PM
According to my source (Blockchain Whispers), there was a wallet that was on sale at dark markets 'and no news have come into the markets yet' but it looks like the wallet has been decrypted and it had over a billion USD worth of btc in it and all the funds have been moved. Has it anything to do with the elections? Will there be a price hit 'or one of the biggest dumps in btc's history' to follow? A secret news brought to you exclusively by me and BCW, I will do everything to get into the roots of it. Don't panic till you officially see this at some reputed crypto news website, but save your ASSes by maintaining your open positions if you have any, seems huge volatility coming around.

More news to follow...

EDIT: News from the source - "1HQ3Go3ggs8pFnXuHVHRytPCq5fGG8Hbhx - this wallet moved their funds. You can check for yourself. This wallet was featured on Vice as one on sale by hackers for decryption in September. I got the info SUPER EARLY. The first really... thanks to follower D... minutes after... just I was checking info for you. Now we wait for major sites to figure out what happened. That's why I'm writing the wallet for them. as they want to act smart when reporting... here you go guys!"

1147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If btc > $150k, will you still gamble it? on: November 03, 2020, 11:31:38 PM
Its all relative if bitcoin is $15k and you bet 1 bitcoin on something when its $150k you would just bet .1btc for the same fiat based bet.  It only helps to have bitcoin increase as the fiat value of your stack will just be higher than it would have been if it stayed at $15k.  Fees aside, if bitcoin reaches $150k it will have to habe the same type fiat valued fees in order to get that high to begin with.

Yeah and with this poll, I meant to know the bet sizes only. Like does some gambler have the dare to gamble the same amounts in btc they did when it was 1/10th its value 'then' (where then is for the upcoming value in USD)? Some mining pools are taking a big advantage of the fee structure but I am glad that the wallets which used to 'select the best fee' for you on their own, now give us the advantage of choosing the fee ourselves but the network is still locked up to a certain area and is not being brought down, this has caused small gamblers 'who use different websites daily to gamble', a big problem.
1148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If btc > $150k, will you still gamble it? on: October 30, 2020, 09:54:26 PM
<<>> "Wont the fees distract you"..this doesn't even come in to play here.  How do we even know what fees will be then.  Not sure this question is relevant.

Yes it is relevant because we can see how miners have stopped taking low satoshi fee transactions in their blocks and set their bars high. Why will this not happen when the level of greed will be much more bigger than today when it is not even at 1/10 of what I assumed? And I was talking about fees in USD, are you willing to pay $50 in a transaction to get it confirmed in the next block while sending $150 to the gambling website? You are filthy rich if your reply will be 'Yes' at that time.
1149  Economy / Gambling / Re: LOL.. so little warning sending coins to Roobet - =) ur gonna love this on: October 30, 2020, 09:39:32 PM
A few screenshots to substantiate this accusation is a good idea here. Now only something has been written and in no way substantiated.
If you make a statement or accusation, then at least provide us some details with proof like a screenshot or something similar.

I don't think the guy needs to prove anything here. I don't think that this thread was even needed. He should have moved quietly to their support and tried to solve this between them, but he chose the defamation root. Accusing somebody is right, but its height depends on the efforts the accuser made before making that accusation. @Op, it is not bad to shout here and say that roobet is bad unless they did not respond to you for your appeal, but did you appeal to them already?
1150  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 12yr Anniversary of the Bitcoin Whitepaper on: October 30, 2020, 09:24:36 PM
Can anyone try to download the Romanian translation of the white paper? It doesn't download on my side. I just saw who made it and I'm shocked. I hope to be wrong, but it may be a ridiculous translation if I'm right with what I suspect. I will detail later. However, in order to be sure, I need to see that translation, but I can't download it.

I downloaded it from the bitcoin.org website and uploaded it here:
https://anonymousfiles.io/nNIJPhgR/

Please check it and share the difference.
https://github.com/IkeGDB is the link of the translator.
1151  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 12yr Anniversary of the Bitcoin Whitepaper on: October 30, 2020, 08:48:55 PM
The quite interesting part I loved about his whitepaper was the time of its release and it's Halloween. I await every year for this time to come and let me revisit the whitepaper and do a 'revision' of everything I already know about. Wink
This whitepaper was once a spark that burnt the whole fiat industry by bringing digital revolution to its best.
1152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cloud mining still profitable? on: October 30, 2020, 08:31:12 PM
Has cloud mining ever been profitable for the buyer who buys their packages on their site? I think that the number of cloud mining companies who remained genuine for years is so small that nothing looks comparative in this industry. And it is good to keep your coins in your wallet than trusting a 3rd party to pay you at some fixed intervals.
1153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can i Link Crypto to Construction Business on: October 30, 2020, 06:59:13 PM
I am familiar with one project named Xaurum Gamma which promised its investors with timely returns once their project of building villas gets completed. I still don't know where did they stop but the project turned shit and the value of that coin went down gradually. I don't think that after that experience, I will ever trust any crypto based construction business and their tokens.
1154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How far will you go when you sent btc to a site with high fee but... on: October 30, 2020, 06:29:38 PM
No offence. I was just surprised that no one noticed it before. It seems to show that many people are thinking the same.
So I hope it will help them : if your transaction is RBF flagged you can speed it up yourself without having to call a mining pool for that.
And even if your transaction isn't RBF flagged you can submit it to a tx accelerator.

I am not offended and I hope nobody else does.
I think I made everyone confused with it and I apologized for that already. You are correct about RBF and non RBF transactions, but as both of these are of different type, I added both of them as options.
1155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How far will you go when you sent btc to a site with high fee but... on: October 30, 2020, 04:10:38 PM
-snip
I can't wait at all, I will ask a mining firm to help me as I will pay more fee (applicable on RBF transactions only).
Where have you seen that please? Your transaction doesn't need to be "RBF" for being accelerated. The mining pool just need to include it in the block they are mining.
I would add, it's useless to call a tx accelerator if your transaction is RBF, since you can "accelerate" it yourself...(it's the goal of RBF)

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transaction_accelerator

Yes, my mistake that I added that part. Even I was confused while writing it, I think I should have added it as another option where the sender of the transaction just needs to increase the fee in RBF to accelerate it. I am going to edit the poll. Smiley

As covfefe says, Replace by Fee. I enable it by default from my Electrum so I'm really never worried if the fee I set is too low. That said, I hardly ever make a casino deposit in a hurry. Have always deposited in advance of when I need to play (which is always 1 sat/byte haha) and then I let it take as long as it needs. Everyone's of course got urgent txs but my gambling money's never been part of that!

That is so good if you have your funds ready in your account in advance, but this thread was made for those gamblers who miss out on the upcoming bets sometimes and accidentally see it the last minute and try to bet on it. Favorite teams or players, haha.  Grin
1156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If btc > $150k, will you still gamble it? on: October 30, 2020, 03:55:53 PM
I will continue the same to bet with bitcoin. It's just another "value" I can use for my bets.
Maybe just optimize the fees but generally I will not change my betting habits.
In some occasion I will play less bitcoin (it's useless play so high stakes since we are talking about a x11 from nowadays value). For sure I will not sell, but continue to hold waiting for a new ATH Wink .

I don't ask people to go for alt coins, but am curious to know why won't people go for alts of which price will be mich cheaper compared to btc when they are available as alternatives through the gambling website? Xrp and ltc are getting confirmed quick with so much less fee if compared to btc and I am seeing users paying miners over $50 to get their transactions confirmed.
1157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If btc > $150k, will you still gamble it? on: October 30, 2020, 12:45:27 PM
Till now, around 49% users voted for gambling with their btc no matter the price. But here, everyone is also worried about the matter of high fee when price rise takes place (which can be seen already), so I have created a new thread about what can you do when the fee is high and you want to gamble at any cost. Visit it below and share your valuable opinion there.

1158  Economy / Gambling discussion / How far will you go when you sent btc to a site with high fee but... on: October 30, 2020, 12:32:54 PM
As I couldn't complete the question in the title, below it is:

How far will you go when you sent btc to a site with high fee but could not get it into the site because either the fee was low based on that time or they credit it after some confirms. Fee has become the talk of crypto nerds and everyone thinks that it is already so high. What will happen when price is high and miners increase fee, mempool is clogged and you have your favorite winning bet available right there on the table but your btc is in your wallet and you want it to reach the gambling site anyhow to bet and win? Give your valuable opinions as they matter.

never knew or contacted you but what a good bye message , im sure you were a good and helpfull member here and im sad that i didnt know you before , i wish to you all the best in your after forum life , good luck and take care ..

Undoubtedly, Lauda was one of the highly prominent spam destructive creature on this forum and maybe, on Mother Earth too. She used her powers for the better of both, the forum and the members who were once spammers and helped them change their mentality and become a good member of the community. No one is a born spammer and so, no one has the quality to lead people since their birth and Lauda dedicated almost every minute of her life to forum (I don't remember when did I see her last seen to be any different than the then current forum time). But with good, comes bad. She was accused enough of misusing her powers and was even cursed. Anyway, great job done till date by you Lauda, we will always love you and remember you in all our moments here, GrumpyKitty. Smiley

1160  Economy / Gambling discussion / If btc > $150k, will you still gamble it? on: October 29, 2020, 09:57:19 PM
After so much positive speculation, optimism in markets, accumulation by institutional investors, too many analysts predicting a new ATH for btc, let's say if everything goes good and btc reaches extremely high price, will you still gamble it? Or will you 'be able' to gamble it? Won't the fees distract you from using it in gambling?

Take the poll and share your opinion.
