1161  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Those who survived previous winter, please share some courage! on: January 13, 2023, 08:22:42 PM
Those who've seen previous bear markets, survived several winters, please share some hope and courage.
This is not the end, right? Smiley
This is not the end, of course, but to make it until the next bull run doesn't just need hope, they need perseverance until they make it and survive in this winter. I just have been in the 2017-2018 bear market but it seems like yesterday, to all, it's time to learn your craft in space there are too many things you can do and learning is the key. Get a job in the space and put aside some investment until the next bull run, that's the key to survive.

What a waste but as per owlcatz I think the chance is too slim for the investors to get there money. I hope yogg will face jail time, this isn't something of an ordinary, this was like a case of a hardcore addiction that lead him to do this. I don't know how Cold Keys work but I think I joined his raffle in the past, good thing I didn't won or else I may have used it too.

1164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I keep my BNB or Sell it? on: January 13, 2023, 12:30:56 AM
Hi, I'm new to here. So just want to ask your help or guide.

I have currently 800$ worth BNB. These are got from NFT that I sold back months ago that I got from airdrop. So what i need to know should I convert it to stable coin or should I invest it for bitcoin? Because my friends say that BNB don't have a future anymore. So I'm fully worry about this.
No, you need to sell your friend first. Your friend is just the same as you that doesn't have enough knowledge on when to sell. Binance has future in this space and just recently they just granted registration in Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority and they're also acknowledged by other fifteen jurisdictions worldwide. Persuade me if they don't have a future.
Funny suggestion but a real one, your friend is just trying to create panic over you and that friend can’t be trusted when it comes to crypto investment. BNB is always a good choice, they already proven their worth and right now they remain the top exchange where you can transact crypto, that’s a good trust level that other exchanges can’t ever have. BNB is one of my holdings, the future is still bright and clear for BNB so take the risk.
That's an IRL suggestion tbh, from all the FUDs they received last year because of what happened to FTX, I'm extremely bullish on what's ahead on Binance and BNB. CZ is smart and if he still has a position there, I trust that they'll continue to develop. They've conquered most of the space can have in just one exchange and they're not stopping, I am confident that they'll break that ATH again.

Here's a curated list of match fixing that happen in sports https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_match-fixing_incidents, this may not cover all but some of it are the notable match fixing incidents that happen in the past. It's always possible and it might be happening even these days and with the advent of crypto gambling wherein you can make an anonymous account, it may be hard for authorities to check on them.
1167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is It good For The Casinos And The Accusers If .. on: January 12, 2023, 07:53:27 PM
Is It Good For The Casinos And The Accusers If the casino operators decided to post a disclaimer that they will not answer accusations here in Bitcointalk but prefer to address them on other platforms that they think are fair and moderated like Askgambler and other platforms?
What's your take on this I don't want to be specific but the question applies to all casino operators.
Well, I'm not against it as long as there's a medium for communication on such things so that it will have consensus on whether people could post their complaints. The thing is, most casinos don't bother these kind of things or they are surely late on their response even if they know they're being tagged or no response at all.
1168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is it becoming a thread for casinos refusing paying very huge winnings? on: January 12, 2023, 01:33:05 PM
Do staffs doesn't check first the slot machines once they open for the day? I think there are still some theory in here that they might have scammed the woman, it's not impossible if they really can't pay her in the first place. If he indeed won with just payout glitch, then she might be honored on what she could have won on that moment, right? It's a win after all, the glitch was just the winning payout.
1169  Economy / Exchanges / Re: FTX Exchange might be brought back online - Would you use it again? on: January 12, 2023, 12:32:13 PM
They should refund first the affected customers before they even think of bringing it back online again. I think I wouldn't trust them again if ever they come back, there are other exchanges out there to use to. It may come back again for a reason but it's expected most will not trust them again.
1170  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best crypto selling method on exchanges on: January 11, 2023, 04:57:31 PM
So, what do you prefer, to sell your coins instantly for less or to open an order and profit a slight better margin, reaching the general market's prices rates?
I'm only selling it instantly at a market price when something is important for a tradeoff for another asset or something I can sell to withdraw and convert it to fiat. Mostly I go to open a trade for a good margin but for altcoins I think not, maybe for BTC it's fine since it doesn't move too fast.

I don't think it's possible too unless there is an 0-day vulnerability in the browser app you are using or you allow the website to download fies on your device. In any case, it's always recommended not to use the device in which you store your important files and data to access random or unknown websites.
As long as you don't download files from unknown sources and don't click on suspicious links, you should be fine.
Having multiple device is really recommended since you can access anything you want to see on other device which doesn't have any stored important details so users should think also to have this for added security measure. To many harmful links scatter in internet and we don't know which of them is legitimate so to seek for the real especially the bonuses or promotion advertise by casino we must have this so that we can view the contents without worrying about those malwares.
Having multiple device isn't full proof, what's the use of it when most of the thing contains in it are the same then? You can have one or two device but things like private keys, passphrases, etc. should be kept in safe place/s and all accounts should have added security features like 2FA, utilizing multisig addresses and many more to add your account's security.
1 device is used for logging in your account on any platforms you shouldn't use this on clicking anything you don't know especially links coming from unknown source. Then the other device is for use for browsing with no account attached nor any important information saved for this you can be safe for the malwares this is just additional security measure on all of your account.
That's what I said to be honest, having 1or 2 device is enough maybe 3 if you want more device to be used for a specific purpose. I have 3 devices likely - mobile phone, tablet and laptop (I rarely use this laptop for work purposes though) and they have different purposes on personal and daily use. Moreover, I regularly change password too on my accounts and keeping most of it offline without using my devices, like keeping notes then have it somewhere safe.

1173  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: SIM Registration: Anong Dapat Ipag-alala? on: January 10, 2023, 06:07:44 PM
Ma tra2ce na tayong lahat panigirado dahil jan.  Siguro ito yung planB doon sa rumours na dapat injeckan lahat ng tao ng chips  for a reason." iwan ko kung anu yon basta yung time ng covid yun". IMV lang ha. Lol
Those are just hoax, mga conspiracies lang yun na nababahagi sa internet, huwag mong paniwalaan ang lahat ng nakikita mo, there's always the other side of the story.

Sa tracing, yes, madali na, pero I think hindi naman ito masama lalo na kung wala ka rin namang gagawin/ginagawang masama in the first place. Yung purpose/s talaga ng batas na ito ay to eliminate or lessen yung mga online scams or cybercrime, magkaroon ng national security atbp. pero para sa akin nasa experimental stage pa lang tayo since wala naman talagang basehan na nag lessen ang mga scams dahil sa pagpapatupad ng SIM registration Law lalo na sa ibang mga bansa na nagpatupad na at mismong Privacy International nagsabi na it isn't the solution, mas dadami pa nga daw SIM cloning at hacking dahil rito which is true, at hindi pa natin makikita ang resulata rito pero likely kung matapos na ang registration baka doon magsimula.
1174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 10, 2023, 04:37:04 PM
Here's the latest update on our KIA MVP Ladder.
1. Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets
2. Jayson Tatum, Boston Celtics
3. Kevin Durant, Brooklyn Nets
4. Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks
5. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks
https://www.nba.com/news/kia-mvp-ladder-jan-6-2023-edition
Jokic added another triple-double to his record last night. He won't get out of that top spot and so is JT.
KD on the hand might not be on the list anymore for next week's update because of the injury.
Who will rank up? Those who are present.
Donovan Mitchell or Jaylen Brown.
Not gonna predict who might step up since lot of stars are being ruled out in this ladder, I just hope that no one from the top will get injured again. Looks like it will be Luka that may step up and yeah those two will not likely be out from their spot and remain at the top.

Good list of the top candidates for the MVP specially Jokic, this could be his 3rd time right? If only Joel Embiid is not getting injured and consistently playing, he could be in that list too.

And Tatum case is strong as well, he is leading the Celtics, but we want something big for him to really overtake Jokic in the number 1.

Maybe a good game that he can score 50-60 points and win in a close game. Kevin Durant is injured so Luka might overtake him in the next released. Giannis too slowly getting his Bucks and putting MVP numbers.
The thing is, he is really on the list but with the injury he probably be replaced on his position. I think Tatum right now is explosive but not more than explosive on what's Luka is doing on the Mavs, he's an absolutely a great player. Still halfway on the regular season so there might be changes on the ranking but I think these 3 will be the top contenders along the way, of course, without any injuries to be taken, I may not be surprised if Giannis may increase his ranking from here on out.

1176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we really make a living in sports betting? on: January 10, 2023, 12:15:12 PM
I heard lots of stories online that there are people who are making a living in sports betting, and honestly it really inspires me that's why I'm still gambling now. So I'm just curious, do we have members of the forum here that are making a living in sports betting? Can they share some inputs on how to be successful like them?

I hope they will share so we will know if it's really possible. I mean, as the saying goes, casinos always win because they have the advantage, so how come people are making a living in sports betting?
I guess you can but have we asked ourselves how they get into that position? Maybe they are skillful enough to have a good win rate but I think most of them spend lot of time and spend a lot of money before they made it this far. Would really be a good thing if someone in here really make a living into sports betting and what can he/she advice.
1177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Are Players Going To Trust Casinos If They Don't Show Solid Evidence on: January 09, 2023, 03:40:49 PM
There are accusations that have or cannot be resolved because they always ended up with your words against their words, players show screenshots of your proofs and even take up or accept KYC but in casinos cases, they just hold on to their words that the player has cheated, manipulated or exploited a bug without showing strong evidence like screenshots of the log they just hiding in their defense that they cannot show proofs and add further to protect the integrity of their platform, so the accusations remain open.
Many casino's defenses are like that.
Likely these casinos will just step up in here if they are accused by a trusted member, (in here) but so far, only a few I have seen in the past and I don't know if there's a recent one. I wonder what's the similarities of these accusations though?
1178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HELP, I want betting/gambling tokens in crypto portfolio for 2025 on: January 09, 2023, 01:44:01 PM
Is there any reason to add gambling tokens to my crypto portfolio? What drives their value? Do they appreciate in value just like other altcoins whenever we are in a bull market?

If you are in my shoe right now, what gambling token do you think you can take a risk on and add to your crypto portfolio and why?
• Well, it will be subjective on every individuals since we all have different preferences but I think gambling tokens aren't likely my type to hodl especially right now in this market. Maybe when it's bullish again. They will appreciate value but as I've said likely in the bull market.

• Nothing, I am focus on getting BTC and ETH, they'll not likely to give you a headache when the market drops again. Altcoins hit hard when these two moves.
1179  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin What is the probability of 60 K+ again? on: January 07, 2023, 09:45:01 PM
I'd say maybe it will come to break that once again by 2024 or 2025, we may never know but past the halving that will certainly made to happen. I'm here waiting patiently and getting more Bitcoin and altcoins in the next bull market, long term is the key to all investments. Losing is not a bad thing to be honest, it makes you wise and knowledgeable in the process.
1180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I sell motorbikes to buy bitcoins on: January 07, 2023, 02:04:55 PM
and I want to ask everyone, the decision I made, namely selling the motorbike and the money to buy bitcoin, is it wrong or not?
Well, you already answered it on your post already and if likely you're determine to sell it for Bitcoin, have second thoughts before you do so. It's not like easy as that for an speculation, price valuation may take longer than expected and I hope you're prepared if it declines even more in this stage.

I'm not discouraging you not to but this scenario is likely to happen and it may disrupt your mind if you want to sell it for a loss or hold it until you're in profit. It will be wrong if you buy then sold it for a huge loss and it will be the right decision if you hold onto it the longer.
