Do I win at the price bid, or just above the price of the prior bidder (like ebay).

1163  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: February 15, 2015, 09:35:36 PM
Oh, and Bug 3.

During the upgrade to the new version, although my wallet was protected via backup on another device, most of the transactions disappeared from the accounts.

So, although my HD wallet is fine and the account balances are all correct (on the many HD wallet accounts), I lost all the transaction history on all accounts (except for a few prior transactions).  Not having the private keys is one thing, but now losing all the transaction history is bad as well.  Sad
1164  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: February 15, 2015, 07:13:40 PM
Something I consider a BUG and a BIG BUG (issue)....

Using mycelium for a long time now.

First small bug/issue is...
I decided to backup my device to another in case I lose one (both being password protected, etc).
Install mycellium on the second device, went to restore my HD wallet by using the seed restore.  All fine, except that I had 0 coins, and lost several 'accounts'.
I started to freak out.  Resync and still none of the other accounts appeared.  Double checked my 1st device to see everything was fine.  Yeah.
So, on the second device, I hit add key, then HD account.  The next account was recreated from my first device.  Resync, everything fine.
Basically, I had to hit add key, add HD account several times to get all the accounts back (while waiting for a sync each time).
I believe the "Restore" feature should automatically go through and find all accounts (and sync).

Second big bug...
I decided to make a backup (for various reasons).  Turns out my version was updated since the last time I did this, so....
Accounts, Menu, Backup.
It tells me that I can't backup unless I have a pin code set.   Great, so now I have to set a short 6 digit code on top of the giant ass password I have on my device.
Option?  No, it's a requirement in order to make a backup.  Geesh.   Ok, I set a pin.  All fine?, Nope.....

I go back to make a backup, and now it tells me this:
"Additional Masterseed Backup
Sorry, an additional backup is currently not possible.
Your PIN was recently changed.
To increase the security of your funds, we prevent you (or anyone else) to export the master-seed shortly after setting a new PIN.
You have to wait for at least 288 blocks (~2 days)."

Are you kidding me?   I can spend the coins, but I can't actually make a backup in case I lose my device.

PS. I still Love mycelium.  Smiley

re-bump

Nice to see you're back to buying/selling.

Have I got a deal for you.  PM.
1166  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 2014 Casascius St. Petersburg Bowl Bitcoin Coin on: January 29, 2015, 05:29:45 PM
For those of you who already have had their coins shipped, roughly how long did it take for them to arrive (U.S. btw).  I received an order shipped email on Jan 20th, and have not received anything 9 days later.  I am getting unhappy with stryde, especially considering the $15 I was forced to pay for shipping, this thing should have been here next day.  Also it says UPS was the shipping method, but I can't find a tracking number anywhere, either in the email or under my account on their website.  Why on earth would they not send a tracking number with an order that was over $100?

Mine took 8 days, but they are on the East Coast while I am on the west Coast.
They shipped via UPS which is slower than USPS; however, it is WAY more secure and automatically insured.

You were not forced to pay $15 in shipping.  You didn't even have to order it.  Sorry, it just kills me that people know UP FRONT what the cost is and complains about it after the fact.  Just consider it a $115 coin with free shipping.

I do agree that they should have emailed a tracking number.  They do need to change.  I didn't find out my tracking until I signed for the package.  Smiley

If you want a coin fast, just PM me.  I will sell for $100 + $6 shipping (paid via Bitcoin of course) via USPS Priority Mail.  Fair?   Smiley
1167  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] 1 Casascius 2013 + 1 Titan BTC (1oz999Gold) on: January 29, 2015, 03:22:00 PM
If it went for 8 BTC it was still a pretty good deal to the buyer in my opinion, that's barely over Bitcoin + Gold spot prices at the moment.
Current Prices (from Amagi):  Gold: $1275 Oz.   Bitcoin: $222
$1275 1 Oz. Gold / $222 = 5.74 BTC + 2 loaded Bitcoins = 7.74 BTC total spot value

So all in all, that was a steal on a Casascius premium and the premium for the low mintage Titan One Gold.

Well, since the auction ended while bitcoin was at $241 and Gold at $1281
I saw the spot on the coins at price:  5.135 + 2 = 7.135 (and premium)
At the actual time I made my bid, bitcoin was at $281 which means the value in coin was less than the auction ending price.

I was going to bid 7.5 ending, but since he went to 8btc, I gave up.

Congrats on the sale.  Next step is to make it complete.

Yup.  Price went beyond what I was willing to pay though.

Attention out there, there are already some fake profile pretending to be me -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=421723

Well of course.  It wouldn't be a true sale/auction thread without a scammer (the same one) that is trying to scam everyone in all other threads.
1170  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 2014 Casascius St. Petersburg Bowl Bitcoin Coin on: January 26, 2015, 04:39:21 PM
You could call them and email them.

Their info is on the site.
1171  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] 1 Casascius 2013 + 1 Titan BTC (1oz999Gold) on: January 26, 2015, 06:06:08 AM
I guess escrow would have to be accepted unless the seller would agree to ship to me first.

I up my bid to 6.25

Please update for payment options.
1172  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 1Oz Gold Titan One BTC cheaper then retail + 1Casacius 2013 on: January 25, 2015, 05:40:05 PM
I offer:
5.9 for the Titan
1.1 for the Casascius (but need more info).

Don't you have this on another thread as well?
1173  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Collection of Casascius Coins - 25BTC, 5BTC, 1BTC on: January 25, 2015, 04:47:45 PM
LOL

Graded coins makes it easier to sell; however, YOU sending in for grading means you're going to pay a higher price than someone established which would get a better discount.

This will also take a month to get done.
And, you will raise the price higher than many would have paid simply because of the additional cost of shipping, insurance, grading, etc.

Basically, you should just close the thread and come back in a month when you get the coins and post individually with a price (or starting price) per unit.  Selling in a lot will not get you that.

Spending  more time figuring out how the real buyers are will help too.

I am absolutely sure that I can't beat out a scammer in price offering, and I can't beat out the person that just simply wants a coin no matter how above value he bids.

It's good that you're not in a hurry.

Good luck.

PS.  You should also work on your terms of payment.  Meaning, I will not pay you for something I haven't yet received.  So, you have to decide how to transact.  Someone to escrow for you or meet in person, etc.
1174  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] 1 Casascius 2013 + 1 Titan BTC (1oz999Gold) on: January 25, 2015, 06:24:16 AM
Geeze. I have been interested in physicals for a while but I didn't know they were worth this much

Well, it depends on the coins.

Can you please post the price for them , i might want 1 BTC if price is good .

And, I might want them all (if price is good).   <wink>
1177  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 2014 Casascius St. Petersburg Bowl Bitcoin Coin on: January 23, 2015, 03:29:00 PM
$119.88 For a coin delivered to NY is crazy. I really wish Mike would sell these on his own or from a vendor who could deliver the coin for $100. 20% markup with shipping and tax is brutal.

I agree.  The price is high and shipping is high.  Meh, you know that up front.
The only thing that bothers me is the number of people that complain about it afterwards.  You either want the coin or not.  Complaining about the price afterwards seems strange.

I would be MORE upset if they changed the price to $50 after so many purchased at $100.  That would be something to complain about.   Smiley
1178  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Collection of Casascius Coins - 25BTC, 5BTC, 1BTC on: January 23, 2015, 03:26:16 PM
How about you post a price.

And/Or auction them.    I like sniping auctions.  Wink

This is bitcoin.  There has to be Drama and anticipation.  It's what makes it work.  Kind of like waaaaiiiiting for confirmations.   Smiley
1180  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Running Bitcoind on Raspberry Pi? on: January 23, 2015, 07:05:22 AM
I think might not be the best long term solution because in some years the blockchain can get really big. Specially if we reach moon.

Agreed.  Using a Pi is not anywhere near the best solution.  it's a cheap, low power experiment which handles it currently.

Blockchain is getting big no matter what platform though.

Also, we need full nodes no matter the platform.  It's what makes it decentralized and in turn what makes the system work.
