1161  Economy / Gambling / Re: Positive Gambling Quotes for 2023! on: March 26, 2023, 07:58:16 AM
That is why they are addicted to gambling. They think they will be able to earn enough money from it even quickly. When a gambler keeps winning he plays more and he will naturally lose there and then be forced to deposit again. This is how their life goes on. Here if one plays only with a break after win or loss I think they can get relatively more wins. But nothing can be said for certain because luck can never be removed in gambling.
That's the problem if you can't control yourself after winning/losing. If we win, most of the time our mindset is, we can win again so you'll not refrain yourself believing you're lucky guy. Same goes if we lose, if a gambler can't accept or wants to recover back his losses, he will deposit once again to try his luck.

If you don't want to become addicted, you need to discipline yourself by not spending the money that you can't afford to lose and can set limit on when to stop. Gambling is fun but if you're treating it as your source to make money then it's not right.
1162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: March 26, 2023, 07:01:42 AM
Donaire's killer move is his counter hook punch where many boxer fell prey.  But the question would be, with the current age of Donaire, will he still have that fast reflex and reaction in order to deliver that deadly punches?

I understand your concern though although what I can say about that is, he still can deliver that deadly punches.

My only reference is, Donaire is not against a considered top-ranked boxer therefore, we are not expecting an Inoue-type of opponent here where Donaire's age is playing a big role. Age does matter and that's usual but against Santiago, I don't really consider age as a factor.

However, if Donaire will struggle against Santiago, no way Donaire can even match with other top-ranked boxers in the bantamweight.
In this fight with Santiago, let's set aside the age of Donaire, as I believe it won't be a hindrance for him to still deliver his accurate punch. Donaire has many experience already with many top boxers and I think it's one of his advantage because he can adjust to the level of his opponent. I agree that if he struggle in this fight with Santiago then it would be hard already to match with top boxers, not because we underestimate Santiago but it is a fact for Donaire's career.
1163  Economy / Gambling / Re: they are scamming us? on: March 26, 2023, 04:59:11 AM
like when someone gambles in slot games loses $300 with minimum bet. the next day the gambler returns with the same gamble budget but increases the bet amount and ends up getting a big multiplier reaching maxwin.
that's what I'm saying there are bad days and lucky days.
Well, it's not often happening because usually there are more bad days than lucky days where you can win huge and able to recover some of your losses.

The better approach is, if you gamble don't expect to win or become rich in snap because this is usually the mistakes of gamblers thinking that gambling is the answer to change their lives. It's understandable to have a desire to win but it should not be our priority but to have fun. Because it's more satisfying to win while you're just enjoying the game.
1164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are Casino Sites Cheating Us? on: March 26, 2023, 03:23:16 AM
It takes a survey of several users on the same site with the same case to draw conclusions from what you are experiencing. There is nothing to deceive and be deceived in this case. You play and lose, that's natural because in a game there are winners and losers.
True. We're talking about gambling and if you know how it works then it is not surprising to lose. Hence, be prepared for it because if you can't stand losing your money in gambling then better to refrain yourself from playing.

When you play against the system, you need to use brain intelligence, if you are greedy and want to win big quickly, defeat will never be far from you. Start playing with the brain not with lust, if you can get a win from a small bet, have fun with a small bet, at least when you leave the casino you can still bring home money.
We have different strategy so if op is winning with small bet then he can opt to continue playing with such amount to win. Just do what you think is favorable to you while having fun so you won't think of you're spending money just to lose. Don't forget to only gamble on reputable sites to be certain that the casino is not cheating you and can pay your winnings even it's a huge amount.
1165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about this? on: March 26, 2023, 02:46:48 AM
Many religions are against gambling, but it doesn't mean their followers or their leaders can't be tempted to gamble unless they're a firm believer and don't want to go against their teachings.

In op's story, this pastor is not a role model to his followers because he chose to close his ministry because of the fortune he received through gambling. He chose money over his ministry, I wonder what his followers felt after seeing what happened.
1166  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freebitco.in - FUN Token Investment Experiment on: March 26, 2023, 01:03:06 AM

That's why before we invest in crypto, we have to study the risks so we can reduce the risks. And indeed, FUN tokens are now declining gradually, but that will change as the market moves to recover. We can only wait for the big pumping to come back to the market and before that happens, we can buy many potential coins on the market, including buying FUN tokens and investing them in Freebitco.in. We are waiting for the market to change direction while we are also waiting for the returns we get from investing in FUN tokens. It will give us a bigger chance to get big profits.

When talking about the FUN tokens, it must be taken into account that they are of a high risk, we do not know if it will actually rise in price if Bitcoin rises, ideally bitcoin should be put in a bullish trend so that it can have a performance major, we as players can also bet that we can be the basis of a good investment, but seeing all this as it has happened, the fun tokens can give good returns, but in a very long term, and it is necessary to see how they can do things when it is in a bullish trend, it is something that we still do not know , in every trend there are many new things that can appear, and many surprises, everything is a gamble.

Indeed everything is a gamble since we are not certain if our investments can give us good return. That's why it's a must for us to do our research for the possible outcome that might happen because not all the time we can have positive result. Anyway, I believe diversifying our portfolio is a wise decision, it's just depends on us what coins to choose aside from Bitcoin and other established coins already.

Regarding FUN, for me it's a good investment for long term but much better to have less expectation. For now, just enjoy the benefits of holding FUN on Freebitco.in since it's your edge to other gamblers who are just there to play and don't see the importance of holding FUN especially if you're a regular gambler on the said platform.

1168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RUN, while you still can. on: March 24, 2023, 07:48:59 AM
Well, if you're not careful you might really believe this is the official account and announcement of Space ID due to the number of likes and retweet of the said post.

Though this is not something new, there are still investors who might fall into this trap.

So for everyone, always verify if the announcement is true because fake giveaways are common not just on Twitter but on other social media platforms as well.
1169  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taking loan for investment can be life threatening on: March 24, 2023, 03:58:49 AM
I hope things go well like they hope, but this is a very big concern for me, because if anything happens, he will be left alone to pay back the loan, this can be life threatening because he is old and the loan amount is a lot, or do you have any better idea about this? What would you have done if you are in my shoes?
Is your uncle collecting interest to this childhood friend? Or he just helped and take a loan on its behalf? The problem is the too much trust of your uncle thinking this friend is a reliable person and won't break its promise. But if the money is used to invest in crypto (which we are fully aware how risky it is) chances to lose are possible and in this situation, the friend take a higher risk investing in not established coins.

It's not really advisable to take a loan unless you can pay it regardless of the result of your investment. But if you're just relying on the profit of this investment, that would be a risky thing to do. So don't take a loan to invest and don't ever take a loan just to lend for your friend that he will use to invest regardless how reliable he is. Because you'll never know until you're put in a hard situation.

1170  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you feel when....... on: March 24, 2023, 12:40:21 AM
How do you feel when ever a project or utility you don't like does very well in a bull market? I know that many people don't like meme coins when they were new in past years, how do you feel seeing your friends you call stupid for investing in shiba does very well than all your so called high-quality projects?
Well, during bull season it is already expected that many cryptos will pump including these meme coins. However, not all can skyrocket especially the shitcoins. So there's a reason why I chose to invest in established coins rather than these meme coins.

If this friend made huge gains for investing in shitcoins then good for him, I might feel disappointed but it doesn't mean I regret not investing in these coins, since in the first place we don't know what lies ahead and it's a risky thing to invest in a project without utility and just relying on hype.
1171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New projects come out when bull market begin. on: March 23, 2023, 08:16:51 AM
Hello i just want to ask if i you guys also notice when the bitcoin rise there are also a lot of new projects come out and if bitcoin fall there are only few projects build, is it because some projects developer notice that most of the successful projects are build in bull market and most of the projects build on bear market are failed? Or they don't care about bull and bear market and they build thier project because the time is already been set?
Because during bullrun many investors are active to invest and join the ride of increasing price. Often, newbies who don't have idea of what they're getting into are the ones falling to invest in new projects thinking it's a wise decision, not knowing the risk.

But a good project doesn't mind to come out regardless of the market situation because they can survive if their project is solid and has a real use case. It's just that, during bearish season it is quite risky to launch a project since the market is struggling and many investors are afraid to invest.
1172  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: SIM Registration: Anong Dapat Ipag-alala? on: March 23, 2023, 07:26:36 AM

1173  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin continue to rise on: March 23, 2023, 02:53:07 AM
but I want to ask do you think the price of bitcoin will continue to rise until it reaches 50000 or not
The price of Bitcoin can't consistently rise (unless we are in bullish market already) because of the traders/investors taking profit and some negative news making the price to move downward. Though, it's not impossible to reach $50k price or even higher than the previous ATH,. However it might take time and it's possible to happen after the next halving.

and if I sell my bitcoin now I'm afraid the price of bitcoin will fly even higher... I want to hear your opinion...?
Are you going to rely your decision based on our opinions?
If we know what could be the next movement of Bitcoin then we're probably rich by now. You can sell if you're already happy with the profit since you can buy again if the price plunged. But if you want to be a long term hodler, you'll ignore the current price since you have a target value. So have your own analysis to understand better how Bitcoin price move in the past years.
1174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the Strangest Bet You Have Ever Had? on: March 22, 2023, 07:43:26 AM
Here in our country, this still happens to this date. If you've heard or been aware of the spider fight? That's what of the strangest bet I guess that someone from other countries will hear from us.
Strange for other countries but for us it's already common. Because of that I remember my childhood days with my friends. One night, we escaped from home to find and capture a spiders because we want to have our own spider to fight for each other.

It's so fun and satisfying to bet in your own spider then will win. That's certainly an unforgettable experience of my childhood. Anyway aside from this, the strangest bet I had is when I bet to my neighbors who's going to arrive first at our school during our primary days, but instead of money we bet a food.
1175  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: March 22, 2023, 03:35:35 AM
Yeah, a commoner like me would be feeling embarassed even if I'm not known online. It just so freaking depressing if I'm the one who has lost that amount because $1.4M is such a huge amount that's gonna make my life good for a long time or maybe a life time.
But I guess I'm still a dollar or a quarter richer than of those gamblers that have lost a lot and living with their paycheck to paycheck lives and has got a lot of debts and are now in the trap and don't know what to do. This is still a way better type of living rather than thinking of those mishaps that have been found and generated by their gambling addictions.
I can't imagine myself betting away such an amount I'm one bet, in fact, if I have that amount of money I will retire because, in my part of the world, 1.4 million dollars is quite a big amount.

-Ops may not feel it that way, since he seems to be a big bag holder and money is not the problem for him but I am sure this situation will affect his physical and mental health for some time before gets get over it.
I'd also do the same thing as what you're thinking with that money. A commoner like me that has $1M will make sure that he's set for life and that's gonna be for sure that I won't be feeling bad if ever I fail with other things as long as I've got that stash of money ready to be deployed in things for my retirement. Anyway, there are gamblers that are rich that we can't really imagine that they're already set and can lose a lot of money that we can never imagine and that's totally okay for them because they've got a lot of spare money to spend.
Rich people can afford to gamble millions yet they're still well-off even after losing such amount. But for an average gambler it's a huge money already that can change our lives for good. Just like you, if I have 1.4 million, I can already live comfortably for a lifetime since money is not a problem anymore.

However for these whales, it's just part of their leisure money to entertain themselves. It's hard to believe but that's the reality.
1176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Downfall still possible? on: March 22, 2023, 01:19:50 AM
I would advise you stay away from not reputable coin at this dying time, instead you can buy Bitcoin or Ethereum including BNB and hold to be more secure than that which you mentioned.
Yes I think it is very risky to invest in all but a few coins in Cryptocurrencies in this dying period. There are many coins right now that are in a very bad position, having lost 90% to 95% of their price. If all these coil markets increase, there will be recovery. However, if you want to invest, I think it is best to employ all these bitcoin ethereum bnb. It is being said with certainty that the price has come down a lot during this crisis and there will be a recovery.
lots of altcoins that have great potential and prices dropped to -85% for me this is a moment opportunity but not sloppy. if the altcoins are still viable without any issues and have superpowers for the future I wouldn't worry, there will surely be a significant price return soon. for more minimal risk and good for sure, buy bitcoin, ethereum, BNB
Indeed. We just need to wait for it because it's not going to happen instantly. I suggest to diversify your portfolio to Bitcoin and established altcoins, then you can choose new projects which you think has potential to give you huge gains. Extensive research is needed for this to avoid investing in shit projects.

Currently the movement of Bitcoin is still good followed by alts. So we might not over yet to a Bearish season but somehow the market is showing improvement. Hence, have a long patience because that is needed to be able to wait for the time to take profit.
1177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much these features weigh most when you choose your favorite casino? on: March 21, 2023, 08:37:16 AM
Features:
Good looking, intuitive and fast user interface - 5
Good help desk - 8
Strong community/ Reputation - 9
Instant deposits & payments - 10
No Kyc - 6
Nr of payment methods - 7

I only chose 6 of the features op mentioned as I think the most important. For me instant deposit and payments are on top because that's how you'll see how legit the platform especially when winning a huge amount. Then strong community/reputation, because it's a must that it has a good reputation so you'll be at ease that it is not a scam. Next is the support, no one likes poor support who can't address the issue fast especially if it takes too long to reply. Payment methods, it's more convenient if there are many options available so we can choose the most convenient for us and cheaper. No kyc, Well nowadays it's common hence I already prepared myself incase the day comes that I have to abide in order to continue playing on my preferred casino. Lastly fast user interface, I'm often using mobile when I gamble due to my work so it's a plus point for me if the casino has a good and fast interface.
1178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why people promote gambling sites . on: March 21, 2023, 03:45:50 AM
These influencers are not promoting the gambling sites for nothing. They're paid to do it and it's the marketing strategy of these casino operators to attract many gamblers to play on their site. Because it's business, like other products promoted by popular influencers, gambling is not different. The purpose of this promotion is to spread awareness and be known to people.

When it comes to the effect of gambling in people's lives, well we know it should not be done without self-control because it can really lead to gambling problems or worst, addiction. However this is already depends on the gambler's discretion on how they want gambling influenced them because it can be positive/negative depending on how he/she is playing. It's simple, for newbies that are new to gambling, don't easily believe the promotions without getting a deeper information on how it works. There's no easy money and gambling is risky. If you don't control yourself because of your desire to win or reach the specific requirements to become eligible for the bonus, then it's already your problem for not playing in moderation and for not refraining yourself to not spend the amount that you can't afford to lose.
1179  Economy / Economics / Re: Is renting an inevitable waste of money? on: March 21, 2023, 02:47:31 AM
Quote

Is renting an inevitable waste of money?

Renting is never a waste of money; it is a survival trait and an important factor of life for every individual in every aspect of the entire world. There are several purposes to renting.

  • Home rents for a personal abode and roof to sleep every day
  • Business purposes e.g studio, hall, mart etc and more

And both purposes are pivotal and unavoidable if you are a business owner or an individual because irrespective of class, you need a roof above your head. Meanwhile there is a scenario where renting becomes a waste of money; and this is when you rent a home above your means of livelihood.

For example, if you are renting, your job must be able to pay your rents comfortably every month without you struggling. If you struggle to pay rents; then you are wasting money and not renting.
When you don't decide timely that this will be a big drain on your saving. Then this will be surly waste of money
Once my finance teacher said - never purchase a house - live your life on the rental. But I didn't like his suggestion and I would like to have my own space be it small or big. But its a treat being a house owner.

The point of your teacher is that if you purchase a house, invest it in business or build one, and if your business is successful, you can use the profit from it to buy a house. Though others have no preference on buying a house as they cannot afford it, that is why they stay renting even if they know that it is really draining their money. They don't have a choice, so unless someone will give them a house they can live in, that would be good for them.
I agree. If you need to choose between buying a house and starting your own business, I will choose the latter first because it's a way of having a passive income. It's not wise to buy house then you don't have source of income or the location is far from where jobs are indemand.

Anyway, renting will only be a waste if you chose to rent even you're capable to buy your own house and won't struggle after doing so. We have our own reasoning and as long as it is valid on why you opted to rent instead of buying your own, then it's your choice.
1180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How my lack of knowledge has blinded me so far on: March 20, 2023, 07:59:36 AM
If the casino is regulated by the Government, they need to comply for the KYC procedure and AML. It has a purpose and the casino is not asking their customers to abide on KYC for nothing. It's understandable that many gamblers don't like the idea of disclosing their identity because they want to keep playing anonymously. However the KYC is becoming common nowadays especially if you're using a centralized platform, expect them to ask you sooner or later.

As pointed out by many, you always have an option to play on a casino with KYC or look for other platform who don't require their players to abide on it. Because we have a choice and it depends on us on where we are comfortable to gamble without worries.
