121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have You Accomplished What Brought You to Bitcoin? on: December 26, 2023, 02:37:29 PM
I'm still in the process of accomplishing my goals and I can say it has been smooth sailing that at the present I've already seen positive changes in my life. I would admit that financial struggles has brought me to bitcoin, and I guess majority of the people here as well. I want to get to  know and understand more the concept of bitcoin so that I can fully take advantage of its utility cases.

Now, though I'm still in the process of achieving them but I must say my knowledge on bitcoin has become limitless. Aside from having it as an investment and having a good compensation from signature campaigns, I also develop interest on using it as a virtual currency that I can easily access online and use it to buy some necessities or pay my bills.

Well, everyone here will definitely give you the courage to pursue your dream, but you should have the biggest courage deep within because you will not succeed if you yourself lacks the courage and passion.

Now, focus on what you really want to tell the world about bitcoin. Make sure that other bitcoin bloggers have not talked about it, otherwise you will be charge of plagiarism. Choose your own platform. Have your own originality so that once people see your topic, they will immediately develop the interest on it because it's the first time they heard about it. Bitcoin is a quite complicated topic most especially to those who have never heard about it. Now, its your challenge to introduce bitcoin to the world.
124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which type of gambling have more gambling addicts ? on: December 23, 2023, 06:11:58 PM
In my country, lottery game has made a lot of gambling addicts most particularly those poor gamblers. We all know that the price at stake is highly exceptional that's why a lot of gamblers have developed passion and love for lottery game due to their greed to win from lottery gambling. Even myself I fall on it before but seeing a lot of losses outnumbered my profits, I realized that the chance to win is very slim so I have to control myself not to get addicted with it.
125  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitsler witheld my money for 7 days, with no explanation what so ever on: December 23, 2023, 05:12:14 PM
A scary sidenote: After waiting for 5 days, I tried contacting them on Discord, wich led me to get banned within 1 hour of asking in their "General chat"
Delaying the withdrawal without any explanation was obviously a wrong thing. Where the most worried part is that you got banned from their discord chat by asking about your withdrawal. They should have given a reasonable explanation for withholding your withdrawal. I have informed Baryom about this on telegram (although the chance is quite low to get a response from him as he is inactive here).
Well, if what you said is true OP, then there's really something fishy going on with Bitsler. But to be honest, I believe Bitsler is a reputable casino, so if they actually did it to you, then there might be valid reason for that. The problem is, based on what you've said, you never received any explanation. So maybe ask some other Bitsler users if they also experience the same issue. That way, you will know if it was just a coincidence or they're really up to your funds.

Make sure to DYOR as well. Read some feedbacks from previous gamblers who have been gambling with this casino.
126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does casino streamers have influence in your gambling life? on: December 23, 2023, 04:17:28 PM
I admit there are times that I get too interested in some platforms most especially if famous streamers are promoting it. But I realized they are just being paid by what they say or do, so I make sure to never get influenced by these various casino streamers and only stick to what I think is more reputable one. And it depends also on my interest on certain games. I just gamble in reputable casinos whenever I feel the urge to gamble and when emotions keep telling me to bet some time.

Casino streamers are definitely good at their jobs but most probably, it depends on the person if he's willing to be influenced or not. As for me, I always say no to that.
127  Other / Meta / Re: Thanks button and more on: December 22, 2023, 10:51:22 PM
The best way to say thank you is to merit the person's post, and that's it.

If you keep spamming the comment section, you can either get tagged or get your account banned, and then you might no longer be allowed to do anything.
Meriting is a sign of appreciation. But if you are still in the process of earning merits, then a simple thank you is enough. You don't have to spam the forum because that is violating the rule already. And you would not want to be out in the forum when you still have high motivation to learn.

However, if you have gained enough merits to share, then the fact that you appreciate one's post or idea, then meriting the user is the best response.
128  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: STOP! Before you become a prey of a scammer! on: December 22, 2023, 09:47:53 PM
Do not wait before this happens to you and see yourself as a prey to scammers. But do your own diligence to research and study until you find out and understand the main concept in crypto. Crypto is not made to make us instantly rich and wealthy. There are steps and processes to make it happen but everything takes time.

Now, if these scammers have tried to convince you that success becomes easier and faster if you follow them, then definitely that's a big scam. There's no shortcuts to success but you have to learned and take the process step by step, otherwise you will end up using up all your funds and regret why you let yourself fooled by them.
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin create an opportunity to reduce poverty? on: December 22, 2023, 08:49:41 PM
This is not just an overstatement but it's certainly true based on my personal experience. I have been with bitcoin for quite a long time and it really brought significant changes in my life. But of course, it doesn't happen instantly, but you need to work for it. Bitcoin definitely create opportunities to reduce poverty, and those who know and understand bitcoin well will gain the advantage but for those who sees and use bitcoin in a wrong way, it will lead them to live a poorer life.

Bitcoin creates opportunities but everything depends on how we established our mindset about bitcoin. The reason why we have to gain prior knowledge about bitcoin so we can deal with it positively.
130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have a "gambling problem" which you can sometimes control for years? on: December 22, 2023, 02:08:49 PM
Let's start with the simple choice: Do you consider yourself to have a gambling problem affecting your happiness, security, relationships, finances, etc? (Yes or No)
Now, here is something a bit different: Do you have a "gambling problem" which you can sometimes control for years? Either you make enough income to call it "adult play", so you do not have real problems, and/or you simply stop for a long time. Then - months or years later - it gets worse again and you are in trouble.

(First question was above)
(Second question) Either way, when it's time to stop, how exactly do you do it? (For example) Change other habits, go new places, exercise more, stop drinking, simply "swear off" gambling... How exactly do you stop? Thank you.

When I started gambling, I have to admit that gambling addiction really hits me. Probably because of my greed for profits that I became incapable already to control my urge in gambling. But as I go on gambling, I became wiser and more responsible in gambling that I ended up overcome my gambling addiction. Until now, I do gamble but not on a big scale, and just gamble on an amount I am comfortable of losing.

I guess one that works for me to finally stop gambling addiction is to reduce your time in gambling. You can develop other habits like traveling with family and enjoying quality time with them, or focus more on investing rather than gambling. That way, you can easily reduce your exposure in gambling.
131  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A piece of advise to everyone. on: December 21, 2023, 09:47:56 PM
Corrections are made to create a positive purpose, so you won't creating the same mistakes again. But if you are the type of person who will defend yourself and make argument, rather than simply accept the correction, then you should not be part of this forum. This forum promotes harmonious relationship between all members, so if you are not responsible to do your part, better leave the forum in silence.

My advice is just learn from every member in the forum and give respect regardless of the rank or position. One is not better than the other, as there's no competition inside the forum.
132  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Have anyone heard about a platform called Adswage? on: December 21, 2023, 08:24:49 PM
Anything that asks for a certain amount of money is a scam. Who would want to pay you just by viewing ads, that is too good to be true. Anyone can do that actually, so does it mean that they are capable of paying them all? Just avoid this kind of pattern, anything that is too good to be true is considered a scam. Maybe if they offer a certain job without asking money prior to that, they could be considered legit and legal. But this one, definitely a big scam.

Anyone who falls for them is clearly all because of greed. There is no free money these days. If you want to earn, then go work for that.
133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risk management and responsible gaming on: December 21, 2023, 07:38:56 PM
Unsure of the direction of this thread but if you are saying that governments put in controls to help people I'd say it's minimal and I don't see an issue with that.  It's like smoking cigarettes, not much countries are doing about that addiction either.  I'd say it revolves mostly around all of the money they rake in from people's addicitions it's sad.
The government may promote responsible gambling but they never really make extra miles to control gambling addiction. It's like once you fall into gambling addiction, at least you should know how to get up and be responsible enough to manage your gambling addiction. As long as the government continues to discourage gambling addiction to the people, I think that action for them is already good enough. Without realizing that a lot of gamblers fall into gambling addiction because the government lacks in providing job opportunities for these gamblers that's why they turn into gambling to find a source of income.

135  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I start investing in Bitcoin? on: December 20, 2023, 11:53:52 PM
Can someone please guide is it a good practice to start investing in Bitcoin in this upcoming January-2024?
I would say its good but for me, it's never ideal to enter a pre bullish market as you cannot maximize your purchase since bitcoin price is still surging and even altcoins as well are also having a good position. The best time to enter the market is when you see prices are dropping low, as you have all the opportunities to buy a lot as you can, depending on your funds budgeted for investing.

However, if your only wish is to finally enter the market despite of the coins current price, because you're up to long term hodling, then I have no against with that. Just make sure to never be affected and resort into panic selling when the market suddenly experience market correction.
136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your view on this? Is it fun or addiction? on: December 20, 2023, 09:59:43 PM
This is clearly motivating addiction most especially to those begginer gamblers who are not totally exposed to the gambling world. They would certainly think that it's okay to lose and gamble again, and when your capital is already used up, it's okay to take a debt because the more you gamble, the higher chances of attaining wealth.

This is obviously crossing the concept of gambling. Just gamble to make fun and just bet on the amount you can afford to lose. Once used up, stop gambling and go home immediately. With that, you will never encounter problems in gambling.
137  Other / Meta / Re: How easy is it to sell an account? on: December 20, 2023, 05:40:39 PM
I was surprised to see that buying and selling accounts is not prohibited in this forum. But looking into it I only saw offers that looked like scams (based on the red alert that flags on top of them).

So I'm wondering if there truly are account sellers. Or even buyers! Is this a liquid market? How much would someone pay on average for a M/Full M/Sr. M/Hero M/L account?
It's up to the buyer and seller if they resort doing that but for me, it will be useless buying an old account since it's not the account that matters the most but your own knowledge and understanding on the different threads in the forum. Because if you are knowledgeable enough, you will easily rank up and gain tons of merits because your post are in high quality that others will highly benefit as well.

You might be wondering why someone wants to sell his account, probably because that has been red tagged already, or that account has been banned already in some campaigns. So you better think a lot of times if you still want to buy or just follow what everyone is doing, that is starting from a scratch and work on it to increase your rank or position in the forum.
138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which type of gambling have more gambling addicts ? on: December 19, 2023, 09:59:24 PM
I don't think it's on the type of gambling that become us mostly addicted into gambling. But rather it's our uncontrollable urge that put us into gambling addiction. If we don't practice discipline and instead turns to be highly greedy with gambling opportunities, then most likely it will certainly develop into faster gambling addiction. And we can only overcome that if we resort into changing our mindset when it comes to gambling.

While in-house gambling becomes the trend these days, but I still think it's on the gamblers themselves if they tolerate theirselves from falling addicted into it. Just like most people say, if there's a will, there's a way. So if they try to control their urge towards gambling, then gambling addiction will still not be possible.
139  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I earn merit? on: December 19, 2023, 08:53:16 PM
Hello, new bitcointalk user, been around on this site for around a year or so, just never decided to create an account. I’ve seen people with tons of merit! But yet I have not a single clue on how to gain any, whilst people have thousands! Pretty much a newbie when it comes to posting Tongue. But any help works, thank y’all!
Other people have tons of merits because they worked for it as merits do not earned instantly but will only be given to those who deserve to be given. But for newbies like you, just do your best so you can can understand the market well by taking most of your time studying and even perform researches if needed. The market and the forum itself  will surely be tough and hard to understand in the beginning, but with due diligence to learn and most importantly, enjoy what you are doing, you will easily absorb the important insights and ideas that the forum has to offer.

Have patience while continuously learning the forum. Getting merits will be easier for you in the later part if you become knowledgeable in most of the topics that will be discussed in the forum.
140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best piece of advice to anyone going into bitcoin on: December 16, 2023, 07:59:23 PM
Buy a little bit of bitcoin every week don't care if it's a $1, $5, $10, $100, figure out what you can afford every week and buy it, get rid of unnecessary expenses or whatever you can think of getting rid of and spend it on bitcoin
5 to 10 years if you buy some every week you will be a multi millionaire
Consistently buying regardless of the amount will surely make your bitcoin volume increase. That is if you have weekly funds that you considered spare money that you intend to invest. DCA really works for most of us, and with patience and consistency in what you're doing, you will certainly achieve your target goal on bitcoin.

If you realized this while bitcoin is at cheapest price, then you must be already a multi millionaire today. But even so, regardless of the price of bitcoin, it's still best to DCA. That way, you will never come to spend a huge amount in one investing, as you chose to do it consistently with small amount of purchases.
