I have  seen couple of hundred also depends on the time its run. Since it is the easiest krillroll to meet requirements makes sense most populated.  As krill requirements go up fields decrease but this is dependent on the time a krill roll is held.  A krillroll held at 9pm on a weekend or weeknight will obv have a larger turn out then one held at 7 am on a Saturday morning or 11am on a weekday.

Couple of hundred... Well looks like I'm going to have to sharpen my tournament play. How's the competition like are they mostly fish or sharks?
1202  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are you going to do with your riches? on: March 16, 2014, 03:03:46 AM
Make more money. Never ending money.

This guy has the right idea. The whole point of having boatloads of money is just to use it to attain an ever increasing amount of wealth. Maybe along the way I'll burn some dough on a big holiday/car/house.
1203  Other / Meta / Re: What about a non-violent forum protest over the Ponzis? on: March 16, 2014, 03:00:26 AM
No answer from theymos so I'd assume it isn't going to happen. Not sure why, it makes perfect sense.

Damn it, looks like I'm going to have to start ignoring a lot of stuff. I don't understand why he wouldn't allow a different section - everyone's happy. The real gambling doesn't have to mix with that crap, and those guys have a whole board to themselves to rip off newbies. Win - win .

Just out of interest would any of the people with a lot of krill be able to tell me how many people on average participate in the 1.25K krill roll?
1205  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ***CEX.IO Cloud mining official page*** on: March 16, 2014, 12:06:50 AM
cex have actually ripped me off 0.5BTC they are that desperate for funds to pay their LTC deal.

What did they do to scam you? Would you mind elaborating?
1206  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Can coins be destroyed in a more 'polite' way? on: March 16, 2014, 12:05:33 AM
The term is infeasible.  Then again just about anything which most people consider is impossible is simply low probability.   Trying running directly into a wall.  There is a non zero percent chance that due to quantum effect you will pass right through it.

Thanks, I was searching for it but I was coming up with a mental blank. I'm just really nitpicky about when people say something is completely impossible to do, when in fact there is just a ridiculously low probability (as to me there is a difference).
1207  Other / Meta / Re: Abuse of self-moderated topics by reflink spammers on: March 16, 2014, 12:01:33 AM
I dont get it ?? How can they think that they can actually get through with it ??

Because most people aren't smart enough/too lazy to be bothered to actually check if the thread is self-moderated and if it is check whether any responses have been deleted with malicious intent.
1208  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Ponzi Killer inside-- 2 Down!!! Shill list inside on: March 15, 2014, 11:10:19 PM
I have 10 BTC (9.83 to be exact) to the person who takes down leancy.com

word.

I'm pretty sure it's not actually running anymore. IIRC there original promoter of it here closed shop and labelled it a scam as it has stopped paying out it's "investors" for over a week now. On the other hand if your talking about taking the site itself down - I'm sure it'll disintegrate eventually once deposits stop flowing in.
1209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins stolen: is address known & best security for a non-teccy person? on: March 15, 2014, 10:35:46 PM
Was the wallet encrypted with a password? My advice to you, is that you store a majority of your BTC in cold storage (just buy a raspberry pi and set one up for this purpose) and move amounts that are necessary to your hot wallet to spend. But don't keep a lot on your computer which is regularly connected to the internet.
1210  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Who would like to have ios BTC wallet? on: March 15, 2014, 10:33:44 PM
I wouldn't mind having one provided it was secure and offered pretty much the same features as a full-featured client. But this is all dreaming considering that Apple would never allow such a thing and there really aren't many people that can be trusted to create a secure wallet.
1211  Other / Meta / Re: Avatar cannot be changed on: March 15, 2014, 10:17:43 PM
As stated above me avatars were disabled because of a hack on the site. You should be able to use avatars once the new forum software comes out but that could take a while...  Roll Eyes
1212  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: (NSFW) From the lovely girls of ClassyCams we have a treat for you! on: March 15, 2014, 10:41:00 AM
What bothered me was him arguing that those weren't Photoshopped signs LOL....

Holy crap, just had to have a look at one of the signs to see what you meant. How anyone could be that blind as not to admit these are photoshopped is amazing.
1213  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: March 15, 2014, 10:28:44 AM
Over 15% of the annual household income in the US - extremely stiff. I considered donating until I saw what they consider a reasonable minimum donation.

The VIP level they have set just proves neglect. If I donate $35,000 a half purple coin under my name isn't going to cut it - they better be curing cancer.

You need to realise that these prices were set back when BTC had a lot, lot less value than it does today. Now an argument could be made to change the requirements, but theymos has consistently opposed it as current VIPs and Donors feel that it isn't fair to them given that they had to contribute that amount of BTC. Hence the exorbitant price of these account ranks.
1214  Other / Off-topic / Re: Re: paris hilton or jessie j on: March 15, 2014, 07:05:57 AM
Haha, cashing out some of those coins you won on PD? Anyways, my advice would be to look for some reputable buyers on localbitcoins especially those that have a high frustrating and successful past trades. Depending on where you are you could either do a face to face or a bank transfer.
1215  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ***CEX.IO Cloud mining official page*** on: March 15, 2014, 07:02:30 AM
I dont see this so much as greed as much as people being irritated because of an unexpected change that cost them value. People connect to pools with the intention of seeking mining profits; the information that CEX communicated (the promotion) was used by people to make investment decisions that may ultimately prove unprofitable. Im sure we are all appreciative of the fact that they had the promotion in the first place; we are just frustrated that such a large change to an informal agreement would happen without prior notice. I would much rather see them completely stop the promotion rather than harm their finances, but a little prior notice could have saved a lot of heartache. Also, while I understand the precaution they are taking to not dominate the network, and applaud it; the fact of the matter is any one could have told CEX that all of the ltc mining community would attempt to participate in this promotion. It is borderline foolish to have been ignorant of this. This is also bad from a customer relations standpoint; in scenarios like these were you don't have a choice but to defy user expectations about something, you usually apologize profusely and try to accommodate the user as much as possible with respect to the issue (the loss of income to CEX because of the promotion).

A change with no prior notice (the lowering of the bonus), and a subsequent modification of THAT change (the payout tiers), along with a "Thanks for your understanding", is not that. From a business minded viewpoint I condone the decision to alter the promo, but this was simply not handled like it should have been with respect to the customer.

So for all that would cry greed, I have a proposition for you. You can travel to my house (at your expense) and have my car for free; but when you arrive I will give you my bicycle instead. How would you feel about that?

Especially if you had purchased a plane ticket?

~Green

The difference between your analogy and what is actually happening is that it costs you very little to nothing to redirect your miners to a different pool. Comparatively, a plane ticket or x hours of my time driving to your house would cost a lot more and hence have a right to be upset. A better analogy is that someone walked up to you on the street and decided to give you some money for free. Next they decide to give you less than they proposed but still money for free. How much of a right do you have to complain when it takes absolutely 0 effort (in your case minimal effort) and your getting something for nothing?

However, that being said I do agree with you to some extent that changing the rate without notice is a rather dick move, but eh your still getting more LTC there than you would anywhere else.
1216  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: March 15, 2014, 06:49:27 AM
I was paid by stunna my 0.024BTC as requested, and from that I am now at .4BTC.
All I can say is thank you stunna, for being fast and supportive!

Use PD and win big!

UPDATE: hit 2.05BTC and rising.
Thanks stunna! Smiley

So jelly, wish I had your luck. I'm pretty sure my luck isn't remotely anywhere as good as some peoples so I think I'll just stick to poker where some things are in my control. Congrats though; and make sure you cash out most of your winnings Smiley
1217  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Double your btc in 48 hours! on: March 15, 2014, 04:54:46 AM
this is a honest investment not a scam like many others

If your going to scam someone at least put some more effort into it and think of a better cover story. If you actually had a winning betting strategy you wouldn't need to scam people, you could just make millions from the bookies.
1218  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Can coins be destroyed in a more 'polite' way? on: March 15, 2014, 04:51:22 AM
No they are not.

[infographic]

While, your overly used infographic is correct in saying that it would be impossible to check all of the keyspace, it doesn't necessarily mean it's impossible for someone to bruteforce a private key. It may be extremely and ridiculously unlikely but there is still the minutest chance that one can be found via bruteforcing. But for all intents and purposes that probability is so low that we just like to say its impossible because it sounds better.

What Bitcoin Has Taught Us About Human Nature:

Humans are greedy.

I think most of us already realised that humanity is greedy and selfish, BTC is just another case in point.
1220  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ***CEX.IO Cloud mining official page*** on: March 15, 2014, 04:06:34 AM
Standard for what, to pull a Gox?

I never had a legitimate pool hold my funds for 48 hours before being able to be paid out. The ones that did have any trouble usually soon went under.

In 48 hours they can be holding a lot of coins with all the hashrate they pulled in with the already dubious promotion, assuming most accounts are new like mine.

Trust me, that clause has been there for a long time. It's in their TOS and I remember when I signed up like 4 months ago the rule was in place. So if it makes you feel any better they didn't add this clause suddenly just to scam you.
