12321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - Fair Launch, No ICO, Community DAO, based on Ethereum on: September 14, 2015, 12:58:47 AM
It makes me wonder on what exchanges will Expanse be? I'm just going to buy some instead of mining them. I think it is much easier for me now that I don't have good hashrate. Would like to see Expanse on Cryptsy exchange  Grin

Is there a GUI wallet for Expanse? (you know beginner like) Because it is somewhat complicated to set up everything via commands  Smiley

Is the main launch ready yet? I've found out that the countdown timer is set to zero but I haven't seen any updates yet. Is Expanse stable enough to use now  Huh

Yes. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1173722.msg12412842#msg12412842

I followed the steps mentioned to start expanse, but when I start the genesis block/server I get this message on the cmd. It says synchronization failed. Am I doing something wrong?  Huh

12325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alternative to Ripple Trade? on: September 13, 2015, 11:21:06 PM

That's a very good alternative to Ripple Trade. There's only one thing that I don't see in their XRP wallet, and that is the ability to send/withdraw my XRP to another wallet. But other than that, it makes it a very good Ripple wallet. I love the eye catching interface  Grin

You can send and withdraw. You just need to look harder  Wink

I browsed through the main page and there was the Send and Withdraw button. (didn't see it at first glance) This wallet is great! I'm going to move all my XRP to the new wallet. Thanks mate!
12326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alternative to Ripple Trade? on: September 13, 2015, 10:07:55 PM

This looks like a lightweight Ripple wallet. It’s great considering the fact that it has a simple interface but yet efficient. I’ll try it out. If there is any other alternative, let me know.
12327  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] CLOUDMINR on: September 13, 2015, 10:04:33 PM
I think that if cloudminr.io really cared about their customers, they should have done something by now. Even if they claimed to be hacked (which I doubt) they should’ve found other ways to communicate with their customers (probably through BCT). All of this was just excuses to steal people’s money. They all come up with the same thing. Remember Hashprofit when they allegedly claimed they were hacked?  Roll Eyes

I need help with the Magi wallet. I've been syncing the wallet for a few hours but after sync is complete, I get this warning message:

WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Wait for block chain to download, or notify developers.

I tried deleting block chain data and re syncing again but I still get this message. Is there something that I'm doing wrong  Huh  Please help!

What wallet version are you using?
Check this post for latest wallets:

I think I’m using the latest version. Is is 1.2.2.1 How do I fix this issue? I tried resyncing the wallet but still no luck. Any ideas?
12329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is officially dead on: September 13, 2015, 01:49:27 AM
Maybe Litecoin will emerge as Litecoin 2.0 Who knows? All we have to do is wait until it happens so. I would love to see new features on it  Roll Eyes

12332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Alternative to Ripple Trade? on: September 12, 2015, 10:39:16 PM
I’ve been looking for a good alternative to Ripple Trade (now that they require ID verification to use it) in which I could store/spend XRP. Is there an alternative wallet or something similar for Ripple? I don’t want to reveal my identity to the service mentioned above, since I want to be able to send and withdraw XRP anonymously just like the rest of the other cryptos. Please let me know if this is possible. Thanks in advance.  Smiley
12333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 12, 2015, 10:00:43 PM
To break the situation, we need new investor money, or a killer app which will absolutely clean the table...  Grin

Exactly. A Monero app for both Android and iOS devices would be a great idea. Imagine the numbers of users that would became interested in XMR. This is something I would like to see  Cheesy
12334  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: September 12, 2015, 08:22:44 PM
As long as Bitcoin XT is along the way, Bitcoin will die (if it turns out a success)  Smiley

Bitcoin XT is already a thing of the past. Everyone is looking at BIPs to change Core but not at XT. Everyone want sto stay with Core no matter what. XT has rendered itself a massive failure and just a failed trojan horse attack. Let's hope that in the meeting to scale Bitcoin we can come to some conclusion.

In that case, that's good to hear. I hope the block size limit issue gets improved/fixed on Core. Still, Bitcoin needs to improve in order to compete with Visa which can support an average of about 2000 TPS. But that is something we might see sometime in the future  Smiley
12335  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: September 12, 2015, 08:03:20 PM
I think the best way to invest your Bitcoins would be in precious metals or gems such as Gold, Silver Diamond and Platinum.  They're very valuable, especially Gold which makes it a pretty good investment Cheesy
12336  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to earn Bitcoins? on: September 12, 2015, 07:54:36 PM
The only reliable way I know is to buy altcoins, like those I got in my signature!!!
how does buying altcoins earn you bitcoins?

I think he means buying alt coins and then exchange them for Bitcoins when the alt coin's price goes up. That would certainly earn you some good profits  Grin
12337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could Bitcoin Crash Gold? on: September 12, 2015, 07:50:13 PM
Bitcoin could probably crash gold if it meets the following criterias: mainstream adoption, and an increase in price. Could you imagine Bitcoin being worth as near as Gold or even valuable than Gold? Only time will tell if this is going to happen. Just my opinion.  Roll Eyes
12338  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: how much can you make weekly? on: September 12, 2015, 07:47:47 PM
I think I could make good quality posts with a Sr. Member rank (because mostly I'm active). If I can accomplish this, I could be earning a good amount of Bitcoins from signature campaign. I imagine myself earning around $10 - $15 a week with the rank mentioned above in the signature campaign. I’m just going to wait until I’m Sr. Member  Grin
12339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QCN] QuazarCoin | Full privacy&data protection | Egalitarian PoW on: September 12, 2015, 07:37:09 PM
I would like to see some improvements for QuazarCoin (including a new Wallet) but I guess I have to wait until the dev or someone makes it possible. In the meantime, I will continue to mine Quazarcoins. Maybe I’ll get lucky and make some profit, if there’s an ever increase in price in the future.  Grin
