The deal is soon to be completed by PSG by buying his current release clause which is 50m euros. It is going to be a quite profitable deal for PSG clearly. He is likely to be a really good replacement for especially Messi.

Dembele is mainly a right winger but he can play as left winger as well. I would really like to see Dembele bringing back his times at Dortmund there.
How is it profitable if PSG is going to spend 50 Euros along with salary payments for him? Not forgetting that they are on the verge of losing out Mbappé on a free transfer fee or on a much lower amount than they offered him some 12 months ago to keep him around?

Moreover, If a deal is yet to be completed between both clubs by now, Ousmane Dembélé's release clause would no longer be 50 million euros, rather it is estimated to around 100m euros active after July 31st, which was yesterday. I expect the turn of even to leave PSG in a limbo, looking at the significant rise in amount, however, with Barcelona already opened to negotiations I think both teams can still find a common ground, but I don't expect Barcelona to just accept the initial release and instead propose perhaps a somewhat higher fee within the range of 60-70 million euros, that's if PSG have not already withdrawn their interest, Barcelona would not be in losing situation even though Dembélé is contract has just a year left on it, a renewal wouldn't be a problem if Xavi were to remain at the helm of affairs by that time.

Anyone here betting and making good profits or are you guys having trouble predicting too?

This world cup is having fewer goals than many expected. It's true that we've already had some routs, but in general it's been a very balanced cup.

In today's games, maybe we'll see more goals in Costa Rica vs Zambia, and maybe Ireland vs Nigeria too. Undecided

Costa Rica vs Zambia, both teams have nothing left to play for, as they both have been eliminated already. while Spain vs Japan will be more tricky match as both teams are fighting for who would top the table, the winner of the group will face Norway, while the loser get to face Switzerland in the round of 16.

Zambia with an early lead against Costa Rica, while it's pretty much an even affair here between Spain and Zambia in the first 10 minutes.

EDIT:

Japan have just taken the lead just after a few seconds of my post, with a very quality finishing.
The result of  game between Japan and Spain is a reminder that ball possession doesn't win a match until you scoring goals making good outcome of your chances converting them to goals is what matters more.
At the end of play who goes home with the three points is the winner of the match and not who's with the all the ball possession dominating the pitch. Congrats to Japan for a superb win.

Saying I was impressed by Japan would be an understatement, they have been very clinical with the chances created, but to do that against a team like Spain is another whole of class.

They result wasn't by any chance a fluke, they were very organized, had a perfect game plan which in my opinion they executed perfectly.

Spain must have felt horrible but to be honest, they were no match for this Japanese side with huge level of confidence and a perfect team organization.

Unpredictable what happen with Barcelona rumor close for selling their main player Ousmane Dembélé, I don't think its good choose because Dembélé have impressive performance with Barcelona and success won La Liga tittle last season. Last season, Dembélé played 25 games and contributed with 5 goals including 7 assists. Have financial problem facing by Barcelona seems realistic with their reason why put Dembélé in the name list player for selling. Possibility with Barcelona earn fund more than 80 to 100 million and can use for buying player as Dembélé replacement.

If loss Dembélé, barcelona hasn't many option on right or left winger between reserve players not on the top performance, actually selling Dembélé is disappointed for Barcelona fans actually for defending their La Liga trophy next season.

Ousmane Dembélé isn't Barcelona main player last season, of course there was an improvement to his game time and injury worries last season which made him feature in 25 games in the league, but he was on the verge of already leaving as a free agent last season, but couldn't because no club was willing to gamble on an injured horse, so he had to renew with Barcelona to make a statement to other potential teams interested in him, It wouldn't be a bad decision for Barcelona to let go for a fair price, and I believe Barcelona have a couple of replacement that'd take his spot effortlessly in the squad.

Round 1
Match 1 : Harkorede vs buwaytress

Damn! What an horrible way to start the cup for me, an unbeaten Man City team at the top of the table vs a struggling Everton team in the middle of the pack, huh! Grin

@CRO2 Team, just for a heads up, please don't send us the usual Tuesday reminder for this round, because I know he'd need a reminder to submit his predictions, that way, it's going to be an easy round for me, when my opponent get zero point for the first 3-4 questions from the round.

------------------------

@buwaytress how about our usual 2mBTC on the side ? Just a quote to me on this would do, if you're game  Roll Eyes

Harko my man, you are on! Just please call me a rampant Liverpool instead haha, then we at least can call this the Merseyside derby!

I feel so exhausted even at this stage for some reason. Players are running on fumes and manager not been sleeping, this round was murderous -- I made duds on both combat questions, KOs for both was the way to go and I chose the other way. Now I needed Liquid to keep me ahead because Max has that grid penalty, it appeared darxiaomi had the advantage there but now it's all to fight for with one last quesyion. I suspect we get a draw, but I'm backing Max all the way.

So this cup round will be a bit of a break -- I accept the no-reminder challenge Wink

Oh, yeah.

Liverpool have been anything but rampant in recent, so I'd rather not have you triggered by the fact a rampant Liverpool is headed to the Europa League this season, I'd never qualify your with such mediocrity buddy!

Bring the heat on however! I prefer to face Liverpool as Everton than go head to head vs Man City  Tongue

Good luck man! You'll be needing every bit of it, come the weekend, that's if I've not won the round before Friday already.

Where is Harkorede and Buwatress; I can still go up against you both.

I'm good with what we've got on FPL side bet, there are just so many pools, and I'm sure I'll just be putting in random picks for some weeks,

So, I'll pass on any H2H regarding the prediction pool.

Let's leave it at the FPL only for now  Wink

We will probably have a cup round next week so it is about time for me to put out whole cup schedule. As was announced there will be 32 teams in the cup, 20 that won their qualification match plus first 12 players from Div 1.

I don't think you need to go to such lengths to prove they are real people. By all means make a great and meat if you guys like to hang out but I don't really believe anybody would pay 2mBTC for multiple accounts in fantasy. There is enough work managing just one account.

Not especially having to play in all league pools available (except F1, of course), why anyone put themselves through sure mental torture, but we've seen worse playout on this forum, I mean speaking of the guy that had, multiple account while back in the Chipmixer campaign, with was it 20 other accounts in different campaigns ?!

And more so, for FPL I strongly don't think you'll get an edge for having multiple accounts for 38 game weeks that are often dynamic, you'll just make the right calls in some for a few weeks and otherwise for the others, then after a few weeks the scenario would likely be reversed, the only edge I can see is probably the weekly prizes, which they'll already be ineligible for.

That said, I'd also rather not have such complication, and I really love the banters here with our small squad, but if we can have 30 people from the forum in here, maybe from the PL Pool regulars this time around, why not? that'd make the banter more worthy, I believe! and if there just weren't so many pool to join each season, I wouldn't mind a higher entry fee of maybe around $150, because the FPL and the way it works obviously isn't a competition you win by just being lucky.

On the side bet, I'd rather not take two side bets in one competition, it's funny that you were once my usual side opponent, and it was Igebotz that struck my mind first this time around, maybe because you really don't rub it on my face when you take my money for free, but Igebotz does and I wish to go on a 10-20 side bet winning streak against him, but if he opt out of this, then you're on!

However, Buywatress isn't someone that'd shy away from such side bet either so you can throw the offer at him, at least with you both being Liverpool supporters, one of you "Will have to walk alone" away with the other's money  Grin

Gaimin Gladiators are such a bunch of losers, I had them to reach the finals along side BetBoom and they fell to lower bracket at earliest opportunity possible, they also to be the to eliminate BetBoom and now they can't keep to together to get to the lower bracket semi finals and at least have a shot at getting their revenge against Team Liquid, although I'm glad Team Spirit dropped Liquid to the lower bracket finals, however, @CasperBGD now have a second chance to tie the game with Liquid facing Talon, I would have fancy my chances on GG vs Liquid than, than Talon getting past Liquid.

I have no choice than to root for Talon E-sports to eliminate Team Liquid now, such a glimmer of hope to hold on to  Angry

I also got the invitation, and you all know the drill, if it's a pool, then one thing is Fasho!, I'm joining in! I'll send my entry tomorrow along with that of other pools I'm playing in!

I've already got my  team registered on the FPL site and randomly filled my squad for now.

Two things;

1. @Igebotz how about a $50 in BTC or USDT side bet for whoever finishes top between myself and you ? I'd have said 2mBTC a usual, but I'd rather not have to be paying you $10k because I'm expecting a skyrocketed BTC price of nothing less than $200,000 per BTC before the end of the premier league, so I'd rather have my stash to get a Lamborghini Aventador than pay it to a Drunken Fella.

2.@Icopress and Trofo, I might have 2-6 people who might want to join the pool, that's if this isn't Bitcointalk exclusive pool. I can tell them about it, but they're aren't a member of this forum, I don't know if they'll be willing to afford the fee though, but they're Football and FPL fanatics as well and they often pay around 20k in Naira (~25USD) to join our local FPL pools, and I can have @Igebotz or another highly ranked Nigeria member on here verify them via a Zoom, Facetime or WhatsApp and what have you to prove their identity or even better still if Igebotz is in my region/state, I could set up meet and greet, with the beers solely on me  Wink Wink

Hey guys, OP has been updated and you can start sending 1.5 BTC participation fees when you feel like it.

1.5 BTC entry fee,

I like the sound of that Grin ~$45k per individual, first placed user could be walking away with half a million USD  Grin

---------

Back on the topic here, when is the deadline for the entry fee ?, because I'm not paying much attention to other league resumptions and all, except for EPL and it's literally due to Fantasy Premier League, I'm more of a tennis addict now, who could have imagined right ? usually my summer are always E-sport betting oriented, it's been completely different this year around, thanks to the CRO2 team  Roll Eyes

My Dota prediction is almost dead now that BetBoom lost against Gaimin Gladiators. I need the other teams to step up and stop them before they get to the finals.  Tongue

The other WC question at least gave me the point that I needed to secure the draw, and it all comes down to Gaimin Gladiators if i'll be getting a win or draw for this round.

My Dota prediction has gone down the hill as well too, my only way out now is if Team Spirit can help me drop liquid to lower bracket and then Gamin Gladiators get to exact their revenge on Team Liquid, asides that it's definitely going to be a draw for me this week again, after being in a good position to get 3 points.

If that's the case the club owners might need to path ways with the current team manager, and probably hire Jeremypwr or Buwaytress as its new head coach by buying them out of their current contracts.

Juventus is going for Lukaku, this week they will have a meeting in London.
Despite the rumors, Juventus may go for Lukaku even if they will not sell Vlahovic.

As the saying goes, "he who sells his brother will not trusted, even by the buyer"....

Lukaku would be a failure at Juventus imo, and I'm looking forward to what he would have to say then, perhaps Juventus is the worse club on earth.

There is Zlatan Ibrahimovic who have played in Juventus, Inter Milan and AC Milan, he's regarded as a legend in all clubs and loved across all the Serie A teams, that's simply because just because he doesn't feed from a hand anymore makes him call it dirty.

You could tell from the farewell he received from the league, he left as a Serie A legend despite playing for the 3 biggest rivals even when rivalry was at its peak, and didn't become an enemy of the other.
1258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 on: July 28, 2023, 02:42:56 AM
Disappointed with the outcome from Australia vs Nigeria match yesterday. I was hoping that Australia would win, but despite opening the scoring, they went down with a margin of 2-3. BTW, African teams in general have performed poorly so far. Nigeria is topping the Group B points table, while the other African teams (Zambia, Morocco.etc) have failed to get a single point till now. South Africa did well to hold Argentina to a draw, but qualifying to the next stage would be tough for them. Right now they are behind Sweden and Italy in Group G.

Nigeria was the better team and solely deserved their win, but South Africa having to settle for a draw today shows that they haven't not learnt their lessons from the first game against Sweden a game where they had the lead but eventually lost the game, but they had it worse today, throwing away a 2 goal lead, with just 14 minutes to go plus extra time, It's game over for South Africa, they blew it all today.

England vs Denmark should be an exciting affair, I'm expecting a more clinical England today, unlike the utterly wasteful team we saw against Haiti, although we already know the teams that would emerge from this group.
1259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 7000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: July 27, 2023, 11:00:22 PM
BetBoom only needed one more good team fight to secure the top 3 but they made that one costly mistake in the late game and Team Spirit pushed for the end.

Time to root for Quest to beat Gaimin Gladiators tomorrow because if they don't then my BetBoom prediction might be toast.  Tongue

I didn't follow the game stream but after the game was 1-1, and and the 3rd map was close to the end, I checked the live bet on a Sportbook and it was almost 6 Odds for Team Spirit so I felt that it was a wrap already only to checked later to see they actually lost the game, and I was like Wtf ?!!

However, I need BetBoom to go further than Liquid to get my win for this round, so I don't mind Quest actually helping with the dirty job against GG for me, or Team Spirit completing the shit they've started by dropping Liquid to the lower bracket too.

I hope they don't stop giving Nigeria these odds for real and we won't stop taking the advantage too..

There's no way we'll get anything close to that again unless we make it to the Q final; the bookies have learned their lesson. All of our players have returned; we'd be lucky to have 2 0dd in our next game.

What's with the water polo game? Which team made it to the final?

Waterpolo Greece and Hungary made it to finals, meaning Serbia and Spain lost out.

As for our next game versus Ireland we are considered the favorites for that game, and the odd as of the time of this post is still 2.0 Odds, I'm sure we'll get some 4-5 Odds by the time we get to the round of 16, if are to play against New Zealand or Switzerland.

_____________

Another bombshell for me, BetBoom lost the game against Team Spirit, and would now play against GG, provided GG can win against Quest E-sports, and it's going a win or burst affair for me in that match up as I would literally need BB to go much further.

Seems the draw vs CasperBGD is most likely result right  Sad
