i have seen this lately as well, scary thing is alot of these viruses are "FUD"  (fully undetectable by AVs)   SCARY!  . so just cause virustotal says its clean (lol) DOSENT MEAN IT IS!
i suggest not only ALWAYS sandboxing any programs you try, but also to check them out yourself in a program like Visual Studio
its not hard to see the calls they make to websites for stealing your info and/or downloading malicious things once you put the file into a debugger

Keep vigilant people!  

and if you CANT READ THE CODE, WAIT FOR SOMEONE REPUTABLE TO REVIEW THE FILE FIRST!
(example: "terracotta miner" they knew most couldnt read the code so it was on github, i saw it was obviously malicious, and reported it to github, they agreed and closed the repo)

i think somone had like 100-200 mh/s rented for about 24 hours there
which is funny as the nethash was so low they only shot themselves in the foot by driving the diff up for that time, i have mined a good chunk of coins using 10mh/s or less
for the first week this launched the nethash was like 6 cards lol, which was awesome while it lasted  only 15k pow blocks on this one
also: how is a nethash drop "not a good sign?" :/  could be a rental, could be someone filled their risk level...  the diff adjusts, chain goes on....

heres an idea, maybe use the one the dev listed as the first line in the op...  instead of random ones people make haha

ya i started mining only in 2014 myself, XMR back then+ETH these last few years made it easy, im sure were all just spoiled now

i think we were getting alot of adoption tho with gpu mining as ANYONE could buy a "legal money printer" with as little as 200$, and it could help supplement their life expenses, while they could be a part of something. i really liked it that way. whats mininum to start a mine now? under 0.10 cents US for power and like 20,000$? : /
and now its so much more cutthroat. i think theirs no denying that the COMMUNITY we had in bitcoin has changed : / specially even the mining board itself
people used to WANT to help eachother, NOW its suggested by people to keep to themselves the best profits for fear of losing them

GPU mining is totally dead imo.  the guys happy with 1$ a day for 1080ti have massive farms or cheap power
tech evolution + big money has come in since 2017-2018
everyday users are building million dollar farms, FPGAs+ASIC are everywhere (if you still think ANY algos aren't on FPGAs, they are just being kept quiet AKA profitable)

Evolve, band together, diversify, or die.     if you dont have 50+ cards+diversification in trading/asic+FPGAs, your a hobby miner, mining is for the big boys now : /

PoS is the future, we all got too greedy for PoW to work anymore
and ETH hasent even finished mining! wait till THAT happens :O GPU miners are toast

 

if you can GET a cpu with AVX512 or SSE4.2 those would be BOSS for sure. anything xeon really, higher "V" better (v4 for example)

as far as CONSUMER level cpus, im finding my 8700k with simple AVX2 is good, 70+ kh/s :O
you can use cloud mining like AWS but its against their ToS, so they will ban you if caught, but people do it all the time AFAIK

your AB voltage is locked as you dont have it UNLOCKED likely in the settings... did you unlock it? i doubt it, seems you would rather make a new thread every prob you have :/

undervolt is also NEEDED for over 25mh/s, i like low as possible, usually use "3" for DPM state and about 900 for mv on my 580's on hive
and the bios? who made it? if its a "one-click" one you might not get over 26, those are crap imo, do it yourself , copy the straps and set clocks/voltage
or pay someone for one ( tho i do them for free usually for people)

If Diskpart wont fix them they prob really are bricked but try these steps  ive never had Hive brick a disk i couldn't unlock using this method

Step 1: run CMD as admin
Step 2: enter diskpart, type: diskpart  
Step 3: (assumes you got into diskpart)   type: list disk
Step 4: select the "bricked" drive, type: select disk + the disk number  (1,2,3,w.e)  i.e  "select disk 2"
Step 5: (assumes you now have your "bricked"  drive selected)  type: clean
Step 6: type: create partition primary
step 7: type: format fs=ntfs   (or w.e format you want the drive) . this will take a bit, have a coffee.
Step 8: type: assign  (this assigns a drive letter and mount point)
step 9: exit diskpart, type: exit

the drive should now be 100% usable again!

yes, and if that guy bothered to READ the HiveOS thread, he would see that the dev has already directly addressed his reasoning for NOT adding it (which i personally agree with)
