1281  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Bluewallet custodial safety on: July 08, 2023, 03:30:02 PM
Does this mean the bitcoin and vault feature in their wallet is centralized and they can steal the balance still?
The announcement only affects its custodial lightning nodes, although you can still use other or own self-custody nodes to proceed a lightning transaction. This also mean that their main wallet and other features are not affected by that changes.
1282  Other / Meta / Re: Can we distrust the default trust? on: July 08, 2023, 01:41:28 AM
Excuse me, I have a question that has been bothering me since last night. I don't know where this thought came from

What happens if I distrust the default trust?
Yes, nothing, you just distrust it.

Can I add the same person to the untrusted list? does it have any effect?
It's still has the same effect, distrusting a user means you distrust him/er regardless how many times you put the same username with a tilde.
1283  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [Question]Wala ba magiging problema kung gagamit ng mixer sa coins.ph at gcash on: July 07, 2023, 11:27:34 PM
Wag mo na itry if you're planning mag direct from mixer to your coins account, pwede pa if mixer to your non-custodial wallet then coins account. The same sa gambling funds.

Ika nga "prevention is better than cure" so be wary trying risky things lalo na gamit ang mga centralized platforms.
1284  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Aptos Foundation Twitter Account Hacked on: July 07, 2023, 11:20:33 PM
Twitter giveaways should always be taken with a grain of salt even its an official account especially if it needs deposit for a giveaway lmao. This kind of issue is not new and already exists since 2 years ago or so. People should really learn these things already.
1285  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: stake.com is a scam , the use sensors to manipulate the bets. nothing fair on: July 07, 2023, 11:05:17 PM
I never heard this permissions on other users using Stake before, maybe a new feature, but surely looks like sensors have different ways to sense any activity you do in browsers. Yeah, sensors are a helpful use in gaming and VR but in gambling? It will probably raise an red flag issue.
1286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin whales took high risks, while studying price movement in the past on: July 07, 2023, 10:40:18 PM
If i knew bitcoin that time with enough money to spare i will probably do the same. But unfortunately, i'm still a student only online gaming and friends are my only hobbies so there's no way i will get introduced on such technology unless someone do it, but nah.
1287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I know it's a bit random on: July 07, 2023, 10:29:55 PM
I'll still give a 40 mins a longer wait, since im not always in rush (well, most of the time). Usually i give my transaction 2-3 hours of waiting since i only do 5-10 sat/vb when making a transaction.
1288  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Housebets.io scammed me and many others on: July 06, 2023, 11:57:57 PM
Let's ignore the above, why didn't you report the bug to housebets.io? Didn't you think it is risky to continue playing on a casino that has such a critical bug?
This. He could have avoided all the trouble if it was announced to the casino team, but didn't.
Now about the bug, it is true that OP abused and took advantage the bug which is against the TOS of every services in the internet and subject for ban/being restricted.
1289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Without money, the knowledge is a waste on: July 06, 2023, 11:14:42 PM
You might have a point, but that's not what always happened. Sometimes you don't need to BUY bitcoin in order to have it, you can work and earn by the company/service paying bitcoin, its like what signature campaigns do

It's the same of having an advocacy of spreading bitcoin knowledge, you write a book on it and accept bitcoin as payment in order to be have it.
1290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I Can't Stand POS for Bitcoin on: July 06, 2023, 11:02:36 PM
Its very highly unlikely bitcoin will proceed to PoS. ETH was criticized and even a bit considered as securities by US SEC because of this move.
1291  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Warning: sigft.com is a scam website that steals your crypto on: July 06, 2023, 06:28:32 PM
Newbies should really be careful choosing exchanges to use to, a simple deposit will be fucked later if you chose a scam one without a proper research or maybe even a simple research will really help.

I registered a random email, with a random 6 digit verification code and it works, means the site is an obvious fucked up. Also, the site uses a common scam exchange. How unfortunate someone got scammed again.
1292  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Internet Apocalypse, Handa kaba? on: July 05, 2023, 11:56:33 PM
That's okay you, don't need to bother and think like paranoid what will happened next few decades, just live the life today at pano mabuhay at present.

Well, about the news, lahat ata ng induatry needs na ng internet, both government, banks and private system kaya daming maaapektuhan at  baldado lahat ng transactions yan.
1293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you not hodling on: July 05, 2023, 11:47:36 PM
to hold bitcoin at its current price is ridiculous. because bitcoin price has been trying to go up.
right now the best chance is to wait and see. because it can come back down.  Grin
Yeah, the same mindset why most people regret later after bitcoin reach another milestone.
Bitcoin price doesn't look to go down now and it's a good time to take risks.
1294  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com Disabled Account After $250K WIN on: July 04, 2023, 11:39:01 PM
The rate at which scam accusation threads are popping up recently is alarming and at the same time suspicious, I do hope this is not some alt accounts creating multiple threads against a casino...
It doesn't matter either its an alt or not, the main purpose of the thread is the specific stake account that was closed due to the reason mentioned by stake, only if these are true.

Usually this is triggered when a user withdraws a large sum of balance in just one go.

Also, it's a good move of OP to bring this to legal court since we are talking a 6 digit money here.
1295  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Crypto scammers na nakikipagsosyo sa gobyerno ng Pilipinas. on: July 04, 2023, 10:47:46 PM
In the name of "learning blockchain and transition of web3" talaga eh no, may maisingit lang, tapus yung fake bitcoin known as BSv blockchain ang ipu-pursue nila aralin. Sa may mga alam ng student possible mag react sa ganyan baka maya-maya sabihing or ipakilala nlang ang BSv ang original bitcoin lmao, eh di, mas dadami mangmang dito satin, either it came from huge universities.
1296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Microstrategy bought more bitcoin on: July 03, 2023, 03:51:34 PM
Michael Saylor is a Giga Chad, he won't sell for profit. I believe he's in a long term journey with those who truly understand that the world needs something like Bitcoin to exist. - A fall-back/back-up for the current financial system just in case it collapses.
Why not? The profits it gets benefits the company and everything to its future investment plans. Also, it's a company owned by multiple people who have shares and doesn't have 1 person to do the decision making. I know how bullish to bitcoin Saylor is, but a company/incorporated such as microstrategy doesn't work like that.
1297  Economy / Services / Re: Signature/bounty campaigns referral system on: July 03, 2023, 08:12:18 AM
The project's I get doesn't even know what is bitcointalk or never cared about it
Just a little explanation to them will give them insights what this forum is, especially if they target crypto users on their platform. Either it's a wallet service, mixer, exchange or a casino. Now if they target more on social media users, people who uses search engines, other crypto site's users then making google ads, facebook ads and other crypto-related ad network should be fine. But if they want to maximize their marketing budget and target then having a signature campaign on this forum is recommended.

Oh, so there's a campaign manager who accepts such offer, good one.
1298  Economy / Services / Re: Signature/bounty campaigns referral system on: July 02, 2023, 10:59:09 PM
I remember some thread like this asking before, but sadly there is no campaign manager as of the moment accept such as referral program as per my knowledge (i hope there is). Maybe because they are so confident of their network where their previous participants always recommends them to those company's representative/owner that are asking.
1299  Economy / Gambling / Re: won cash x drop but no prize?? on: July 02, 2023, 10:50:16 PM
I try as much as possible to avoid playing games that are supplied by third-party game providers,  this is because most of the problems arising from their party providers are always unresolved and in the end, the players end up being sent to and from the casino will ask the player to contact the game providers and the game providers also ask the player to contact the casino.

So in the end,  the player is left with no choice but to abandon the case and move on to other things.
Isn:t most casino or new casino is partnered with third party game provider now a days? I always see that in scam accusations of users playing casino then banned because game providers detected unusual behaviours of the users. They usually reply and tell that generic message that you are banned but wouldn't tell you specific reasons.
1300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Microstrategy bought more bitcoin on: July 02, 2023, 04:35:42 PM
Do you think when there's an ATH they will dump all their holdings?
If they sell on bull run i don't mind i guess there wont be any significant change but if they sell in bear market that would be the worst case scenario cause it will have huge effect on the market probably we will experience a very long bear season.
