1301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 17, 2019, 04:48:10 PM
I haven't watched any of Dominick's fight but I'll probably go with him, Weidman sucks nowadays.
Rodriguez and Stephens rematch deserves more attention, it could be the fight of the night. I didn't expect it this soon but I'm glad it's about to happen.
Dominick Reyes is an upcoming talent and the way in which he won against OSP and Volkan Oezdemir was impressive and Weidman is coming up in weight and it will be a challenge for him and even before fighting he is challenging Jon Jones, the same happened with Luke Rockhold who was challenging Jon Jones even before fighting and was out cold in the second round, i am not expecting a different result here.
1302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are u buying alts? on: October 17, 2019, 12:49:21 PM
I think buying alts right now its good choice, its bloody red right now in top ten altcoin except doge coin, i am buying ethereum and stellar and hope get profit next week
I am not investing in altcoin market for a long time, i had my losses during the past bear market and i am not confident enough to invest in the market once again as i am still holding majority of the coins. I made my profit in the altcoin market when the market was rallying and i was greedy enough to hold for a long time and all of my coins are at a loss and hence i am not interested to invest in it as you never know how long this altcoins will last.
1303  Economy / Economics / Re: Can not believe 5 years ago you could of bought one whole bitcoin for this much! on: October 17, 2019, 12:16:55 PM
I sold two bitcoin for $250 each a few years ago. If i look back at that now i regret that but in those they I could use the money well so it isn't a big deal right now.
Everyone who are in the market for a long time had similar stories, i never thought the price of bitcoin will be above $2k in the near future, i used to trade when ever the price of bitcoin rallies in the past and would wait for a long time to enter once again as i usually have the patience to make the maximum profit, but the last rally just popped my eyes as i never thought that the price would touch $19k .
1304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin is the sleeping giant on: October 17, 2019, 11:57:25 AM
I don't care about Litecoin anymore, and only have owned it as a means to transfer from fiat on ramp to my trading exchange during BTC and ETH network congestion.
So you admitted that you used Litecoin when the transaction fees will be higher in BTC and ETH and majority will be using dogecoin as well and it is not a mystery because of the lower transaction fees.

in my opinion Litecoin is pretty boring in terms of development. It's value is mostly from a large network of miners and adoption by exchanges and merchants providing easy liquidity for traders or HODLers.
If there is a sloppy development in Litecoin do you think that the miners will be supporting them and would rather move to other profitable coin, Litecoin usually experimenter before the implement ion of soft and hard forks in bitcoin and it is well documented and it shows the development is not that sloppy.

Charlie knew all along about the direction of LTC, hence selling all his stake at the top. He didn't even announce it when he dumped, he later admitted that he sold at several points on the way up to all time high.
This is a fact that the inventor dumped all his coin when the price reach an all time high and the fact is that he ripped off bitcoin source code to make money and he made that and dumped the coins Tongue.

1305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will China Accept Bitcoin As A Currency? on: October 17, 2019, 09:13:10 AM
In my opinion, the Chinese government will never accept bitcoin as the official currency in the country
I have one doubt from the statement of yours, which countries do you think will accept bitcoin as their official currency along with their centralized currency  Roll Eyes. No country will be endorsing bitcoin to be their official currency but they might allow to use that as a mode of transaction and these two are two things entirely altogether.

, from now on they say that bitcoin is a legal asset to own or trade and for payment of other goods and services in this country mainly because now there is news that now the country China will launch its own digital currency, maybe that's why China legalizes transactions with bitcoin.
Hope you are talking about China, the government is cracking down on bitcoin and you are saying that they legalize bitcoin transaction, not sure who gave you the idea that bitcoin is legalized in China.
1306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 17, 2019, 08:36:37 AM
Earlier, it was not hard for people to take one or two days off from work and go to the stadiums to watch the test matches. Because it used to be played once in a while. But now many of the cricketers are seen in action round the clock, either in the international cricket or in T20 leagues. I am not saying that it is a bad thing. It has definitely helped the revenues and popularity of the game. All I am saying is that times have changed and the ICC should not push the test format on the throats of the cricket fans.
Time is an issue now and the frequency of the matches are also a major factor for the declining viewership for Test matches but even still Ashes series does have a major audience draw may be because of the history between the teams and the competitiveness and i have no doubt any India Pakistan Test matches can gain massive support and audience because of the fierce rivalry, there was a time when majority of the matches end up in a draw and that is also a reason for the decline in viewership but now we are seeing results in the matches which is a good start.   .
1307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: October 17, 2019, 06:31:23 AM
A lot of people have been saying that India won the toss and they got the home advantage. But they are ignoring the basic issue here - a decline in the quality of the South African cricket.
Even if South Africa bat first i do not see any difference in the result as they are struggling to bat for a long period of time and the quality of batsman they had in the past were world class players like Kallis who values their wicket so much that he rarely plays a loose shot and any bowler consider his wicket to be a prize possession and there are no players of that caliber in this team, i wish South Africa to win the toss and bat first to silence the doubters and the odds to bet is also not that great.
1308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 10 Years From Now: Bitcoin Overtaking PayPal? on: October 16, 2019, 06:20:13 PM
It's hard to tell, but in my opinion, PayPal will implement Bitcoin before we even notice. At least, that would be the best option for them I think.
It is hard to tell that whether paypal will implement bitcoin because if people start using bitcoin then they will loose their business in the long terms as people will start using bitcoin rather than using paypal for transaction as you have the complete control over your transactions rather than trusting a third person and the fees are lower than paypal and for all these facts i do not see them implemeting bitcoin payment.
1309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2 Years of bear market.. what to expect next on: October 16, 2019, 03:24:54 PM
Don't be too quick to conclude that nothing will trigger the bullrun of altcoin. Just because the market is down now doesn't mean that altcoin season is long gone. Altcoin will soon regain her momentum with investors, let's wait patiently for that
In the past we have seen bull run in the altcoin market but we cannot assure that will be the same this time around, we have many fork coins of bitcoin and then there is a list coins that have their unique capabilities such as ETH, Dash etc and we might see some movement in those coins but i am not expecting the entire altcoin market to rise in this rally and majority of the ICO projects are dead and only a few still survive this bear market.
1310  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bittrex closing late Oct? Does anyone know more? See article. on: October 16, 2019, 07:10:38 AM
Seems Bittrex International is closing in late Oct:
Does any one know more?
By reading the headline i was wondering why they are closing down their service but they are closing their Malta based operations and changing the name from bittrex international to bittrex global, i do not find many difference as an end user to access the site, if you are an international user it usually redirects to international site, in short they moved out from Malta to Lihtensten.
1311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 16, 2019, 02:08:24 AM
Ben Askren was talking so much before his first fights...
but recently after losing that fight I hear no sign of him Smiley
UFC is not he same as ONE championship bro
You cannot shut Ben Askren as he is not acting in front of the camera like the other faker in the sport like Kevin Lee or Colby Covington and if you are active in social media you know the funny trolls of Ben Askren coming on a daily basis and he does have a podcast and he is an avid supporter of the crypto community and a wise investor. UFC is not the same as One FC but Ben is a great wrestler and a ground fighter but he is yet to prove against the toughest opponents in the UFC.
1312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 15, 2019, 05:29:35 PM
Ben Askren's defeat to Mashvidal could be a fluke. It could have been very interesting too see how the two combatants fared to each other throughout the rounds.
You can call it fluke or luck but Ben Askren was run through like a truck and he was out cold. The set up was great for that knee and you cannot call that a fluke. I expected Ben Askren to dominate Masvidal but it was over just like it started.

Askren could be 100% back that night but we didn't see that and probably never will since he is not undefeated this time. That fateful knee deprived us at least a round or two. Kudos to Mashvidal though for making it an early night for him.
Askren is intelligent enough to come back and fight but the aura of undefeated is gone and so does many of the fighters coming in UFC, there is no tune up fights and all the top fighters have the ability to finish the fight.
1313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 15, 2019, 04:09:39 PM
I think this is good news, judging a winner by boundary count was never good.
It was a dumb rule to decide the winner by the number of boundaries scored, majority of the people did not had any idea about this rule until the final and if everyone knew about this rule before the tournament the ICC could have got some criticism and no one expected a final to be a tie even in the super overs and now the decision to repeat the super over until you see a decisive winner is a fair rule.
1314  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can BTC still have any rally before 2020? on: October 15, 2019, 02:24:27 PM
Although almost all predictions are rooted in mere speculation in the world of crypto, some of them come from fairly complex quantitative prediction methods.

Other than speculating what is the option an investor has, any investor in any market have a certain perspective when investing in the market and they will speculate that the market would reach a certain valuation before investing, be it quantitative analysis or any other technical analysis.

From research and modeling to making specific benchmarks, experts are working hard to prove that Bitcoin will survive. Bitcoin price predictions for 2020 are very broad, between $ 20,000 to $ 1 million US dollars.
Experts are not working hard to prove anything, bitcoin is working fine and there are more investors coming into the market, i am not into these huge predictions but i know i will always be in profit when ever i sell the coin.
1315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 15, 2019, 01:08:23 PM
LOL.. I am from India and I am female. And to be honest, I have never heard about her and I have never watched any of her matches. I tried watching the women's matches a few times. But I got bored after 5-10 minutes and I switched to the men's game. It is surprising that you guys care about the women's game. Perhaps I should try watching their matches regularly.
I have not watch an entire match but have seen highlights but i have heard about Mithali Raj as she is competing for a very long time and was the Indian women's captain for a long period and has scored runs but in India only Men's cricket is famous and you cannot find audience for Women's game, but what surprised me is that you are a female who is in the bitcoin market for a long time Wink.
1316  Local / India / Re: Ideas and Thoughts for celebrating 10th Bitcointalk Anniversary in Indian board on: October 15, 2019, 05:51:27 AM
The replies to this topic proves there doesn't seem to be much interest in the topic on the whole. Not sure if the problem is with the Topic title or the initiative, let us see how the poll ends up in the upcoming days.
Even i was waiting for the response from the rest of the members to see the general decision but since there is not much response i am chipping in and with the lack of response we know that no one will be interested in giveaway through raffle because of privacy issues but speculative games would be great but you do not need to shell out any rewards, we can do it for the fun and interactive discussion will be also fun and we can create a telegram group to discuss things in general.
1317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Andy Ruiz vs Anthony Joshua II on: October 15, 2019, 04:11:31 AM
take a look at the transformation body shape Andy Ruiz at this time .
he looks faster and aggressive. I was curious what Antony Joshua's response was when he saw Andy Ruiz's body transformation at this time.
There is a problem when you are fighting all your life with your natural physic and now he is trying to get into good shape which could have an impact on the outcome in terms of his performance because the feel you had during your career and when you are transformed in terms of body mass and muscle mass and going into a big rematch i do not think it will be a great advantage for Andy Ruiz. I am not an expert but that is how i feel because i had a discussion with a friend who knows about performance and endurance because i was planning to wage a bet on this match.
1318  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Compare Your Trading ideas with others ? on: October 15, 2019, 02:28:51 AM
There is no benefit in comparing our trading experience with others. Bitcoin market is too random to predict. So even if strategy of other person worked this time and mine failed, it doesn't mean strategy of other person will work again and mine will fail again. Crypto trading is more or less is a gambling.
You cannot view trading as a sort of gambling, timing is everything when it comes to investment and you can have the profit if you are patient enough to sell only at a profit and not to sell off because the market is going down and gambling is entire different as you have no clue about the outcome and hence both are entirely different, if you are smart enough then you will end up in a profit Tongue.
1319  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC- When it back to 20k on: October 15, 2019, 12:42:00 AM
You bought at a peak that many agree seem anomalous so I don't think you'd be getting your money's worth back any time soon. What you can do is to just avoid thinking about it too much so you don't stress yourself out.
Even if he purchased the initial coins when the price of bitcoin was at an all time high he could end up in a profit if he is able to invest in bitcoin when the price went down and he could average the loss and then he could wait for the rally and end up in a profit, patience and strategy is everything when it comes to investment and even if you encounter a set back if the market goes down, you will eventually recover by strategic investment when the market goes down.
1320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 14, 2019, 11:39:13 PM
Both Kochi and Pune got dissolved because of issues other than IPL. The Pune team was owned by Subrata Roy (the head of the Sahara India Pariwar). He was in jail for almost two years, his company became bankrupt and as a result the team could not afford to pay the IPL franchise fee.
So you accept that finance was the key factor for folding Pune, if Sahara was in trouble they could have sold the franchise as you could fetch big amounts for a team and if that is the case why is no one able to do that, it is financial issues and no one was ready to purchase a cricket team and hence they decided to fold it altogether.

For the Kochi team, there was infighting between the investors. The investors were from Gujrat and they had issues with the Kerala government regarding tax on the gate collection.
Here also finance was the issue, if the government was imposing tax on the gate collection will you fold a team if it is a profitable venture. So the idea of Gujarat folded because of the government is a rumor and the real issue is finance.
