Looks like someone wants some Uno at 005 on Bittrex. Buy order for 700.
500 sell order on Cryptsy at 0062.

Cryptsy got a makeover today.
Or should I call them "Cryptrex."

I have 1 ksc and some change still. Any offers? What's it worth?

What's your favorite Unobtanium progress/challenge story from the past year? Let me know. I'll try to compile them into something that can be shared with the cryptocurrency newers. It's never too early to start taking a look back. Our 2nd birthday is only a few weeks away. Just to refresh your memory, you can start from the first birthday post. It starts here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=527500.msg9239506#msg9239506

I just saw an email from Bittrex with 35 coin delistings, and once again UNO is not on that list.
Notable is RZR and SYNC. The others... I've hardly heard of but I'm willing to bet that somewhere between 90% to 100% of them are a lot younger than Uno.
It's a marathon. Every trade, every hodled coin, even purchase, every post or tweet, every new member to this forum helps the runner keep up his pace.

In the short term, being legit is difficult.
Remember when PayCoin had a marketcap larger than LTC? It's way below Uno now. BitBay was once huge. God, the list is so long. It's easy to be a scam for a few months; hard to be legit for 2 years and longer.

Don't forget to have some fun with your Uno. https://cryptap.us/uno/dice/I guess .006's isn't a bad place to stabilize. I tried bringing it up near 007, and coins started coming out on Cryptsy, so there's a ceiling there. I'm guessing, probably a ton more to be bought between 0065-007 before things really dry up. At current volumes, that might be a while. If anyone wants to catch a dump, post a nice buy order around 0067's and it'll probably fill. There seems to be a willing seller in that range.

Agreed, if there are coin pairs you like at Cryptopia, why not make the market and promote it to other coin communities.
Also, for the next 2 days some "assurance" trades on Bittrex would be helpful. Lets try to invigorate that market. Thanks to whomever is closing the gap on trex right now. Lets run some coins through there just to be sure it will exceed the min.

My impression of the order book on Bittrex. It's a recurring pattern found in nature.
|
|
|
I am not anti-Cryptsy, but I would like to see that giant cold storage wallet reduced in size.
And also would like to see a more active market on Trex.

The Bittrex market needs some lovin' guys.

Good question for Wence, Nat. We should ask all new posters this question, in the hope of learning how others perceive us.
And . . . tee hee . . . The Australian Taxation Office calls Bitcoin a 'taxable supply,' from a Greek word meaning, 'Wahahawedon'thavetoexplainanythingtoyouunderlings.'
Thanks for your continued work, F.K.
Thank you, IMZ. Unobtanium.uno is back up now.

You can use the 'wayback machine' to view archived versions of the rich list to see how the Cryptsy cold wallet (and all top 100 for that matter) have changed over time.
Check this out this document. Early in 2014, I was able to capture some snaps of the UNO richlist from early in the rockchain's history. https://pastebin.com/jnQXkRSVWow, that's a great archive. I wonder why the top 10 was so balanced in mid-2014. Do you think Cryptsy held their coins in several different cold wallets during this time then consolidated to one address later? I think SirSmokes was the first person to notice the huge Cryptsy Wallet. It occurred after they revamped their security and consolidated a large part of their holdings for Uno to a cold storage wallet. There is also a hot storage wallet, but it changes almost daily and is comparatively small. The first Cryptsy cold storage wallet for Uno was tagged "uRan" and occurred oddly around the same time that Wolong's twitter's sprang to life. There was a lot of speculation around that time what it all meant. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=527500.msg8091867#msg8091867 Eventually with some sleuthing and withdrawals, the community was able to piece together what had happened.

Update on Unobtanium.uno
"because a surge got pulled in our mysql segment we have several mysql servers offline at the moment.
A technician is on the way to fix the problem as fast as possible. Our other systems are not affected.
Downtime will be about 2-4 hours depending on the issue that caused the pulling of the surge. "
We're well beyond 2-4 hours. I will keep on them.

Very odd. The hosting company, the dns company, and the domain registrar indicate that everything is fine, but clearly something is not fine. I'm removing Cloud Flare from the service chain. I've alerted Learminer. The files all look good on the site, and no obvious sign of hacking. Despite the control panel green lights, I have support requests into the hosting company & registrar.
