1321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Your rate in betting base on odds alone? on: June 27, 2023, 03:42:11 PM

I'm hoping to make more BTC so the more bets from now on the more chances of winning. I think that's what I'm going to do now before the bull run takes full speed.
Regardless of which game. To me, I bet on Soccer but I seem to have lost every day. How often do you win in Soccer games if you just bet based on odds by picking a team with 1.50 and 1.70?
1322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: June 27, 2023, 03:22:10 PM
Will you try a trick to win on casino game machines if you were told and it is a 100% working trick to cash out? Will you bet on fixed games if you get the tip early?

Depends on the stand of your life because we all have our own choices to make and sometimes, depending on the situations we have, it might be a factor to trigger us to take advantage on something that gives us a much higher chance of winning because first of all, as a gambler, we seek money and entertainment at the same time and most probably, most people will certainly take advantage of these chances.

Cheating is highly prohibited and no gambling platforms will condole any form of this on their website, just as you wouldn't want to be cheated you had better not cheat on others because it's not a good thing to do, and once it's not good enough to do is very bad and uncalled for at all by all means and should be avoided, there's nothing like taking an advantage on anyone just to satisfy ourselves at the expenses of others.

But having a tip of a fixed game, that is an opportunity to exploit. One would pull out his stash just to bet on such game to exponentially win. I'm a sports bettor myself and over time I learned there are really fixed games, it's just there is no assurance of fixed matches. Assuming it's real, I will not bet a huge amount for it for its not necessarily a cheat, the information falls right into you and you are a gambler that will still have to weigh whether the information is true or not.

1323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: June 27, 2023, 03:04:11 PM
It would be crazy if this fight is really happen and it would be more crazy if Elon Musk able to pull an upset especially if Elon can knockout Mark Cheesy

As long as this is just an exhibition match, anything can happen even though the chance is looks impossible.

Rather than both of them looking to make some fun, it's better for Mark to develop his metaverse because it's still incomplete. For Elon, you need to make sure AI is fully controlled and limited to prevent people losing their jobs.

Is funny though that the media is actually reporting their tweets that they may really be fighting in the cage. Elon at 52 is not fit to fight anymore, he is not into boxing nor UFC so he may not have a chance of winning the fight even if it's just an exhibition.

These are billionaires, you can't expect these guys to be pawns by smaller guys like Dana White. They can buy those promotions themselves and find fighters of their own to fight.
1324  Economy / Economics / Re: Gary Gensler should be sacked----Warren Davidson on: June 27, 2023, 02:39:35 PM

Gensler served his purpose though and everything seem to have been going right as planned by the government and the institutions. Now that he had done his job right I guess he is not needed anymore after all Blackrock has arrived. And the EDX is coming for the crypto users, an exchange that is backed by Schwab, Fidelity, and Citadel.

He could be removed but the damage is done. Once he is removed he will be out of the scene anymore and he could hide all his life.
1325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: (Crypto Games) A revolution in the gaming industry or a passing trend? on: June 27, 2023, 02:25:05 PM
Today I would like to understand and find out your opinion about the real value and potential of crypto games. I am interested to know how much they can change the gaming industry, what challenges and problems are associated with them? Grin

The known problems to them is that most coins are going to have less value in every bear market assuming you really meant play to earn games. Looking at the Axie, its price was more than $100 back in the bull run, and then look at it now.

There are tons of them these days on every platform and they'll be hyped next year as we are approaching halving. More investors and players will come too but if they are not traders, they will lose their money.
1326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: June 26, 2023, 03:58:44 PM
^  Yup credit to the guy who took Topuria via decision.  No one else itt considered it before the event and seeing the match's over - under was lined at 2.5 rounds with the under slightly juiced.

That's why I love MMA betting so much even if it's just betting for small amounts of money.  The Topuria via decision at 10 was like finding a memecoin that you def know would pump soon.

Yes! It was really a risky move in betting for the Topuria via decision because most of his fights end in submission and KO the only decision he got was Youssef Zalal back on UFC Fight Night: Moraes vs. Sandhagen event, so this recent fight makes him 2 decision wins only, it was hard to predict the result but I am OK with it because I still bet for Topuria to win,

Investing in PEPE while no one yet knows the coin right?  Grin

Can't remember how many times I did that and lost actually. Sometimes it's 0 out of 10 I think. It's a good thing I just put $5. I even tried Charles by KO against Islam because of the odds lol Can you imagine Submitting Yan vs Aljo? Why not. It's satisfying when I win though. Looking at Magomedov vs Strickland, both are actually good. Magomedov by KO is my pick, the options are not yet open.  Just crossing my fingers when watching it live.
1327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between futures trading and gambling on: June 26, 2023, 03:39:01 PM
I don't think that gambling is better than futures trading because until now I haven't found many users who do futures trading broke but what we mostly find are gamblers who are broke, that's why futures trading is much better than any kind of gambling despite the way they work and have the same risks.

I'm not a gambling expert, but I sometimes bet on football. But that was when I didn't have much to do. That means I do it for entertainment only. So I don't think of making money from gambling. Then for futures trading. I've done that, I can even earn $100 dollars in one day. But in the end I was greedy and my capital was exhausted. Maybe this is due to the reason that I can't manage emotions. But from then on I quit futures trading. I currently trade a lot in the spot market only. Not bad but I measured my ability.

So many had committed suicide after losing in the futures market. Probably not reported but there are some like the kid who lost all his money from Robinhood. But of course, there are also lots in gambling who end up homeless.

They are both that risky, both require more skills than just counting potential profit. It's easier to just try my luck on forex than on BTC futures at least the mt4 software they have is pretty stable than usingthe browser platform of exchanges.
1328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermall Charlo Super Middleweight (September 16) on: June 26, 2023, 03:26:00 PM
There's no official betting odds but we can see some odds from https://www.sportsbettingdime.com/news/boxing/opening-odds-canelo-alvarez-vs-jermall-charlo-fight-september-16th-2023/

Quote
Canelo Alvarez vs Jermall Charlo Odds
Fighter   Odds
Canelo Alvarez   -240
Jermall Charlo   +182

As you can see, Canelo is the heavy favorite although he might be facing a tough challenger, so if some of you here believe that Charlo will win, that +182 odds is good for you, $100 to win $182.

Thanks bro, just as I expected, the odds are much closer than for the Canelo vs Ryder bout.

These are official, you can bet them at FanDuel.

If you are aiming to make a huge win, Charlo would be a good choice. The likelihood of him winning however is less 50%. Risk is a risk.
If you have to bet for Canelo for a bigger win, choosing which round where the fight might be stopped or Charlo gets KOed is an option. It's possible on the 5th. It would surprise me if Charlo lasts 5th round.

A long wait for Bivol's rematch since he has to finish that PBC contract til Benavidez. Benavidez is still a good match for him.
1329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halving and Blackrock on: June 26, 2023, 02:32:37 PM

Forking BTC will not be profitable for them. There are tons of institutions filing spot ETF, if BlackRock forks, everyone that is on onboard will move to another. They expect the real BTC and not the forked coin.

But it's true these institutions like POS tokens. They must have gotten a lot of ETH by now, institutions like to make money without having any risks, and being a validator will be a dream.
1330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What tips you will give to a new investor to identify scam projects early ? on: June 26, 2023, 08:45:56 AM
Just buy the old projects because certainly if they have lasted the bear market, they eventually be among those altcoins that also will go up when bull run arrives. And it seem very close already since halving will be next year already.

Becoming an investor these days while the rest of the world are struggling or even have no access to crypto market is the best thing an indiviual can do this time.
1331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling, investment, stocks..... on: June 25, 2023, 05:38:19 PM
^

One satisfying benefit that I like the most when you invest in casino token is that the dividends you recieve everyday can be your free spin every day as well.

In ine casino I end up investing was that I get $0.30 everyday as share of the revenue. Not a big amount but kept playing that amount until I hit.
1332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: June 25, 2023, 05:27:44 PM
~snip~
I absolutely agree with you. Martingale strategy is one of the best strategies to confuse the gambler and convince him that he can use it to beat the casino.

In fact, none of the strategies in the long term will not work in favor of the gambler, because mathematically the casino will always have an advantage, so learn to gamble for fun, not to win.

Yeah, it's just part of the whole fantasy that some gamblers like to live in. They think that by using some models they can outsmart the casino, when in reality the casino is just laughing all the way to the bank with their money.

Gambling is not a way to make money, it's just entertainment. The only people making money are the casinos.

A gambler would like the strategy until a countless losing streak happens.  One couldn't really believe that after more than 10 bets he'd lose it all. But I think its one of the phase that a gambler will just need to go thru to learn the lesson. If you were fooled thinking you could win then you have listened to same people who wants us all lose.

1333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between futures trading and gambling on: June 25, 2023, 03:22:18 PM

Not everyone can brave risking on futures trading while the market is very much unpredictable. Gamble is more predictable and the result is always losing  Grin

Seriously, both has risk. The problem with futures trading is that traders also lose all the time. You will need to lose thousands first before you lose everything and learn. In gambling, you can alreadyprofit when your lucky.
If there is a possibility of liquidation in case of futures trading then you can add more deposits to reduce the amount of liquidation. And later when you get profit then you can avoid future trading with stop loss.
But if you place a bet in gambling and you know that you are going to lose for sure but at that time you cannot withdraw your bet. As a result, what you bet in gambling will be lost forever.

Traders has the option to not lose actually and thats to just be on the spot market. Its the only way to avoid hitting the stoploss limit or some margin call. Depositing more is just feeding the loss, you can only do this if you are sure that in the next few hours the market trend will go your way. Otherwise Just exit the position.

If OP is stuck which is which that he would go, he'll find comfort in doing both gambling and trading in binary trading options.
1334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MEME coins: thoughts on the future of PEPE? DOGE and SHIB? Which will be No.1? on: June 25, 2023, 03:12:10 PM
Even though I don't like meme coins, I think DOGE will still be the best in the future. When compared to PEPE or SHIBA I still prefer DOGE. I think it is the world's first meme coin. And of course I feel DOGE is better than the other two.

Being the oldest and was said to be more decentralized than any other memecoin. its a meme coin that has its own blockchain so pretty much a stand alone project unlike the 2.

Shib can be a sucess though of they could follow their roadmap with its Shibarium. I'm not very updated but when you look at the ranking, Shib still had been up there for a long time. Holders are still holding on.
1335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: June 25, 2023, 02:44:14 PM
they both have an open mindset on ideas for invention of new things.

What is Zuck's best invention though? Facebook was just another form of myspace. Social media is a powerful tool and Zuck owns it but it is not as revolutionary as Elon's products. Elon is sending rockets to the space, making electric cars, electric roofs etc... Zuck is a nobody when compared with Elon. Zuck had great luck with FB and he even managed to mess it up. His last idea Metaverse is a big fail too.

Elon is solving real world problems.

Zuck on the other hand only offers a solution that looks for a problem.
Hold on, Elon hasn't invented anything, yet he is claiming that he did. He is just buying things and reclaiming them as his own. Scientists in his companies are the one launching the rockets and inventing things. It's pretty clear for anyone who has seen this guy giving a speech that he doesn't have a clue what he is talking about.

I thought that he was inventing something too but have you noticed the pattern that he doesn't like to speak details in interviews. That's because he doesn't understand them. He doesn't even speak like a person tho would be dumbing down his answers, they are just confusing and vague.

While musk has scientists working for him, Zuck can actually loves coding as he loves brasilian jujitsu, and IT companies build around good coders is a solid idea (take spotify for example). And before you say he is the richest guy alive, i don't think i need to explain that there is no proven correlation between wealth and intelligence. But we can only speculate about their IQ, and i had to speculate only from their interviews Mark beats Elon. Both of them are scumbags but i would bet Mark, taking Elon down in 1st round.

Elon is not into boxing nor MMA. He wouldn't win against someone who had been training for years. I doubt he would fight as well. Elon's employees work for him thats what his family does. afaik they have contract in the government to develop military weapons.

I disagree bout that IQ, Elon had been toying everyone and playing politics this time with his twitter platform. Something that Zucker don't do.

1336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: June 25, 2023, 07:12:50 AM
This is the first time I'm hearing about this, I recently read somewhere that Twitter's ad sales revenue is down by about 50% or something, Musk might have asked Mark to help him out with that and now they are using this marketing tactic to attract more attention towards their platforms maybe, I'm not sure though but I personally don't have interest in all these things especially if they are not serious stuff.

And I don't really see how this can have any influence on the cryptocurrency market other than the fact that many people might use certain cryptocurrencies for betting on the match if sportsbooks add it but that is going to be a plus for casinos and not for the market in general.

Its not a crypto marketing but the UFC company wants to revive its glory. I first read this news in twitter where Dana White wants to host the fight of the two. This is to have another hyped fight in UFC which didn't have any since Ngannou left the production.

Dana White been looking for fights and even wants Jon Jones vs Fury fights but seem not possible so he looks for someone else like Musk vs Zucker.
1337  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Met Beautiful Young Asian Woman On Dating Site To Teach Me Trading on: June 25, 2023, 03:23:29 AM

Don't you think that woman is an AI?

I'm always skeptical when I met someone online particularly on linkedin they always offer investments and most of the time they are beautiful girls. I don't trust them because they introduce unknon exchanges and unknown tokens.

If they offer BTC trading like signals, it must be another kind of scam. What's it for her by the way?
1338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Cardano still a good investment? on: June 24, 2023, 05:56:44 PM
I bought my first 600 Cardano last week at £0.19 as felt it was great price and too good to miss.

I am debating if I should buy another 600 soon or wait to see if we fall lower  Huh

If all goes well for Cardano it should be a pretty easy 15x from current price next bull run.
Good for you mate. That 600 Cardano was a good start but if you truly believe on the project then you need to add more in your bags. For now, you can try to wait and see if it falls down, since the bull run seems to be delayed again. BTC has fell from $27k and it was expected that other coins can follow. That is because the SEC are still hot with the cryptos and companies that surrounds it.

There is no way to predict if you much profit we will get so don't say that you can get an easy 15x as that sounds easy for you to say it. Maybe you need to lower that expectation of yours first for a coin which are being dormant for a very long time. Anyways good luck in your Cardano investment journey.

It appears he already profited in a short period of time. One that is very troubling for this Cardano this time is that after awhile of seeing the project grow. the prices still plummets that low, unlike the SOL or AVAX. This project will be some kind of pump and dump like those 2017 projects.

It's still not like ETH where there are users using the token to invest in projects while today after 5 years ADA has more things to prove. But Hoskinson is chasing Aliens  Grin

1339  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: IMF calls for the regulation of cryptocurrency on: June 24, 2023, 05:28:18 PM
The thing is that IMF is more concerned with the development of a CBDC and not cryptocurrency in general as this is what we can make out of their statement since their urge countries to develop their own CBDC to be able to control the activities within the network with proper taxation and that will birth their desired regulations and control.

But on their stand on decentralized cryptocurrency like Bitcoin, they are still bent on countries to climb down their users because they urge countries to do so, so at this point, I am sure the IMF is really playing politics with the whole thing.

By then countries that have CBDC can already access data of people who are into crypto. They can easily pinpoint who those users are and can collect enormous taxes for those users.

Still strange to see IMF taking a big turn and then calling for its regulation like they realized crypto is not going to die. It could be planned because of the institutions that are coming to crypto like Blackrock. Unbelievable that they are trying to urge countries like El Salvador not to use BTC.
1340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: June 24, 2023, 05:15:05 PM
I agree with this.

Gambling is a risky hobby and a risky source of income if you will try to make it as one. It can cost you so much before you can eventually earn and profit. It could also lead you to being addicted to the point you're willing to bypass your financial capabilities just to be able to satisfy your gambling habits. And once you fall for that temptation, it will be a bad situation on your end. You can be burdened up by pile of debts, lose time for your loved ones, disregard your responsibilities, and even make enemies in the process.

Environmental factors will be very influential in this case, most likely they first learned about gambling, namely from their friends who then made them curious to at least try it once in a while. Most of those who experience addiction when they first try and then get a win, then after that their mind will change and they will find it very easy to make money here. This is one of the beginnings of addiction for gamblers. Someone who is already at the point of their addiction will be willing to do anything to fulfill their desire to gamble, and sometimes it is not uncommon for them to justify any means to get the money to be at stake in gambling.

Additionally, it will be hard to quit too because once you are used to with the routine, you will end up in a bargaining stage with yourself and perhaps even relapse.

I think it will be very difficult for those who are addicted to get out of that zone because they have turned gambling into something very fun for happiness and the curiosity about winning will always haunt their minds.

I really think it's about the personality of a person. When I was a teen I already felt like I got addicted to gambling where my friends do it all the time in their backyard playing for pennies.
I got over it. So every time, my friends bring me back to gamble I can do it and tomorrow I can already forget my loss. Never chasing the loss.

The first time getting addicted to a casino or gambling I guess is the hardest to quit. But once a person gets to pass it, it will be easier the 2nd time or 3rd.
It's kind of first heartbreak, once you've moved on all the rest of the girls are easy to forget. Grin
