1321  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Payed trading person to follow on: October 28, 2022, 06:18:43 AM
Well, OP, I hope you've got it right. But as you can see, many members are opposing your plan, and it was because we care about your future.
Honestly, you don't need someone to work with you but it was someone who guide you to become a good trader. Because at the moment that you understand trading, you can simply stand on your own feet and make decisions alone. If we wanted to grow and excel from trading, therefore, we have to work hard and stop relying on others.
People need to be way more honest with themselves, if they do not want to learn how to trade on their own that is fine but then they need to stay away from trading, and if they want to earn money while trading the markets then they need to be ready to study them for months.

This idea of not learning anything about the markets and still make money while trading them is ridiculous, would we allow a person to perform a surgery while being guided by a surgeon? Of course not, the surgeon is the one that should take the responsibility as they are the ones with the necessary medical knowledge, and a similar idea should be applied to those which want to trade the markets while knowing nothing about them.
And there are a lot of people who wanted their trading life so easy. They can use their money to hire people on their behalf which is not totally a bad idea. However, it was not the thing we should do always, instead we help ourselves to know more also about trading and embrace the responsibility to rely on other people who have no way to go far, we end up shortly and blame ourselves. As long as we have time and are capable to trade, I think we should do it personally.
1322  Economy / Speculation / Re: A good observer makes a better speculator on: October 28, 2022, 05:43:43 AM
Yes OP, I do agree that "a good observer makes a better speculator" but that is only the thing, that person can't still predict what will happen next.
He could speculate what we see (just like the normal thing we do), but his focus and time spend in the market make this person even better. However, it was not the only reason why we succeed here, we should also be smart, especially when making a decision which is most of the time we fail in this.
1323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shitcoins and Memecoins on: October 27, 2022, 01:56:24 PM
Did you notice?
It is shitcoin season!!! Memecoins are not to be left behind!

What are Shitcoins?

Shitcoins are crypto assets with little to no value or digital currency that has no immediate, discernible purpose.
On the other hand, Memecoins are genres of crypto assets with it?s value derived from it?s community?s support. They are largely speculative.
Those people that have no idea what to buy in the market will likely choose what was been suggested by most, and that is not meme coins nor shitcoins but surely it was Bitcoin and Ethereum.

If we are familiar with the market and have an experience with these meme coins and shitcoins, you will certainly discourage people not to invest in them. I hope newbies will see the risk with these coins mentioned by OP. I know Dogecoin has a huge community but this is not the ticket to say it was a good investment, not even with the others as we know that meme coins are mostly scams.
1324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk is one of the keys to be 100k$ per Bitcoin? on: October 27, 2022, 01:12:20 PM
It is a false hope OP.
Not really I see he have no influence in the market as he really had but not really I saw he can do it. Bitcoin will reach $100k someday because of the huge shared market demand and not because Elon Musk encourages people to do this. The price will rally soon because the moment has come like we are bullish. I know he can be a contributing factor to the price rally but it was not easy for him to do it, especially when many investors are not believing his words anymore. I believe the fact that Bitcoin is decentralized.
1325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 27, 2022, 09:25:15 AM
While the Lakers continue to struggle and I guess this could go on to 0-10 as they all have a tougher opponent in thier first 10 games lol.

I bet on the Lakers today thinking they are gonna play hard, but it's still the same, this team has no hope, with or without Westbrook they still continue to struggle. I think Lebron is not anymore the king because he cannot anymore carry his team.  Grin

Yeah, and I thought that same, they have reported that Westbrook will not play, so we assumed that something different is going to happen. But nothing, just the usual Lakers who just didn't have what it takes to have a win. Although their opponent is a tough team, but still at least they should make it close.

Another huge game by Giannis to lead the Bucks against the struggling Nets team. 43 points for him and 14 rebounds.
Bobby Portis also had a double double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. And obviously, its KD and Kyrie who carry the Nets but it's not enough.

The nets also are the same team, they can't finish the game with a win, also, I notice about Durant's Shooting, he is not as good as During his prime, probably because he was really affected by his previous injury. Durant scored 33 points but he was -17, which means his impact does not help the team much. Also, the Nets lose their aggressiveness in grabbing the ball as they are outrebounded by the Bucks. 54-37, big difference.

They are much dominated by Bucks that's why maybe there's an effect on mental toughness especially with Simmons so they really need to figure out the problem because looking at their rooster they already have solid rooster already its just they need to make this work together and they need chemistry also with consistency.

I almost forgot, yeah, Simmons is considered a star player as he was traded for James Harden, but look at his performance, he was even worse that Russell Westbrook of the LA Lakers. Simmons played 34 points but only made 4 points, I get that he had 9 assists but the Nets really needs to spread their offense, and not rely on Durant and Irving only.

1327  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Metaverse still a thing on: October 26, 2022, 11:08:40 PM

Metaverse devices such as VR glasses are already on the market, but they are not really popular because of their high cost and are not widely used. Besides, metaverse is a very new concept that has not been deeply exploited, at the moment I only see Meta as the only company that is pushing to focus on this field, so there will be problems that need time to be resolved. Crypto projects like Mana or Sandbox are not really metaverse yet, as they only offer a few features of the metaverse. Their goal as well as other projects are to pump tokens and dump for profit, so it is impossible to look at these two projects to evaluate the entire metaverse field. They do not represent the metaverse.
Not all can afford to acquire these gadgets but I see the interest from the community in this.
Well, the development is continuing and I see how the meta is driving their technology to hit the market demand. But of course, it was not easy to please the people knowing how expensive it was. If we think this is really a thing, I still don't think so. Still, there is a need for them to consider the current situation that we are facing the economic recession and inflations which it makes hard to see people adopting this technology.
1328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does new projects succeed in bear on: October 26, 2022, 10:44:44 PM

lots of projects and scam that we do have today which its really that hard to find a good one. This is why its really a risk taking whenever you do decide to deal up with bounties.
New projects launch on bear markets? I dont think that it would be that ideal.
This is the reason why I stay away from bounties. Because even you do research and spend time looking for potential new projects you still, don't have the assurance that they will succeed unlike the situation in investing in old projects with already a working product. Though the risks are still there but it is different when you are investing in new projects as most of them turn into scams in the end even if had a good start-up,
1329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 26, 2022, 01:34:16 PM

If Williamson is back, then they have a high chance reaching the NBA playoffs than the Lakers.

Very high, they reach the playoffs last season even without Zion, they can do it again. The Lakers now are 0-3, bad start for them, so it's hard to trust that this roster will reach the playoffs when they are losing games they are suppose to win, I don't know if there's still hope for this team, but I think here should be a big changes that needs to be done, and that is trading WB.
1330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: October 26, 2022, 12:09:13 PM

Ring rust, everyone has to go to this. It's just a matter on how boxers are going to shake it off. And most likely, when Casimero's experience, he might likely start slow in this fight but eventually find his rhythm and this could end up to be a very good fight to watch as this could be war in his first fight at 122 lbs.

Nah, Casimero understands that a win here is his ticket for the next big fight, he was off for a while but he is still hungry for a win since he did not actually lose in a fight, he just got stripped with his belt which I believe he regretted his mistake. His comeback fight is something we should not miss to see if that fire in him is still there as he needed that to have a chance to face Inoue in the future.
1331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 26, 2022, 11:19:14 AM
Wow, I'm impressed with the performance of Phoenix, they are still dominating the game against ROS, so I think they'll continue their hot streak. Going to the 2nd game, it's SMB vs North Port, I know everyone is thinking SMB will win, but can they cover the handicap?

SMB is -5.5, is it a go or no?

It should be a go, sorry late response, LOL>

If you push that bet, you'll feel relaxed now because SMB is leading by 22 points. I think they will win tonight and Northport will continue to struggle. As long as you are betting on a good team like SMB, TNT, Magnolia, and Ginebra, you'll always feel confident to win.
1332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all new Projects are bad, So take the Risk on: October 25, 2022, 01:58:30 PM
Cryptocurrency investment has to do with risk, which is taken the highest risk is when investing in initial coin offering (ICO) at that point anything can happen in time's, which has not come any exchange. And not all project that end up as scammed, take the risk and invest, after taking research.
I remember these ICO days when many people got a good profit from joining them but their time was over already. I have already been skeptical of new ICO these days knowing that most of them are scams, even IEO. Well, research is the best way to avoid losses due to investing in fake/scam projects but most of all, we also have to know how to control our greed as we see that many new projects are offering huge rewards when investing in them. This is one reason why we still fall into their traps despite the thing that we know it was a scam but somewhat we have been pushed by our greediness.
1333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 25, 2022, 01:22:11 PM
Jalen Green vs Jordan Clarkson, the Filipino superstars played and Jalen Green won the battle stopping the win streak of the Jazz. I can see that Jalen Green is having a great season so far, his stats are already a stats of superstar, hopefully, he can always be consistent so he has a chance of being a good candidate for regular season MVP.
1334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: October 25, 2022, 12:33:55 PM
Speaking of Loma, he has been vocal about Tank Davis and he said that Tank needs to face tough opponent so that he can be recognized. I think we all agree to that, he just face Isaac Cruz and then Rolly Romero in his last 2 fights and not all of us are familiar with that name. And also Loma praises Shakur, and admit that they have sparred in the past at 126-130 but admit that Stevenson is very different now as he is bigger and poise to make it to 135 lbs and which he is trying to get all his belt back. And if Loma wins here, we expect a fight between him and Haney next year and that will be big. As for Ortiz, even if he losses this fight, this is still a good experience to put under his belt and he could be a champion later down the road.

The expectations from the fans really into the side of Loma, knowing that he's on a mission to bring down Haney after this fight, chasing for the belt and regaining the hype will bring loma more money fight. Still too early for conclusion, but the upper hand and the favorite already been eyed to Loma, it's more on Ortiz exposure and how he will try to upset the heavy favorite.

We might see a more interesting fight once Loma starts winning. Fans will love to see him holding the belt as they will expect
more challenger to chase fighting him.

It's already interesting seeing Loma vs Haney, so let's hope that Loma will win this fight as he has not fought a real champion since he got defeated by Lopez. It's his comeback fight, a win is a must for him to face Haney, otherwise, he has to start over again which we don't want to see.
1335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: October 24, 2022, 11:48:40 AM
Maybe it is a mistake that Crawford is a free agent. He thought that without Bob Arum and ESPN this fight is going to happen easily. He thought that without a promoter and a network to lean on he can be treated well and receives a fair deal.

That makes sense to believe and I agree with you. Even Bob Arum was being seen as protecting his cash cow, without his influence and reputation, his boxers might end up in a small and not-that-impressive fights contract. Bob Arum is specialized in organizing fights that even if it's between a famous and not, the fight will be sold and hyped.

I don't know if Crawford and Spence will still face each other but as long as they continue winning their fights, the possibility is always there.

So do you really believe that it's because he is a free agent?

When did Crawford become a free agent? I think he already had fights even if he is already a free agent, so I think that is not really the problem, I guess the real problem here is the other side which is probably Spence who is avoiding this fight to happen.
1336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 24, 2022, 10:47:51 AM
Another game , another defeat for Lakers and another awful game for Westbrook. This dude has lost his passion for basketball and it drags the entire draft down with him that at this point the entire Lakers squad should be really worries about this season performance because it doesn't look good no matter from what angle you look on them. Sad
What can you expect from Westbrook, he was already struggling, it will not change right away.
The best thing to do by the Lakers to him is just to trade him, they should also consider the current performance of Westbrook so they'll not be too demanding.

Meanwhile , Pelicans lost their first game on ET but Jazz had some great team plays last night and a clutch trow.

Tonight : Bulls vs Celtics should be the game of the night and I'm leaning towards a close game and Bulls victory.

Jazz definitely played with great chemistry, no superstar, no problem as everyone is doing their job well.
1337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 21, 2022, 01:36:25 PM
Westbrock had 2 points in 23 minutes ? What a joke. How can they allow this ? They are being paid with millions and he cannot trow and make some buckets ? I think the problems in Lakers teams are going deeper between them and I think the only solution for this team to move on , is to let some players to leave as soon as possible because if they stay in this format , play-offs are a very hard achievement.

Not sure how to answer your question, but yeah, Westbrook is not really looking good with the Lakers since he joined them. I guess there are too many alphas on Lakers.

Both good games last night, Giannis still showing his form against the Sixers and almost got a triple double.

While the Clippers looks sharp against the Lakers although there are some moments that the Lakers took the lead.

Another disappointing performance from WB and for sure more criticism against him not just from Lakers fans but more on the side
of those people who already giving him a no even before joining the Lakers.

That sentiment of earning a huge amount of money is valid, 2 points is not really acceptable especially if the team is throwing huge
amount of money for your service.

Comparing the game today, even it's another loss but it's much better they show good defense just lacking with good rotations to
find a closer and much open shot.

2 points in the whole game, which was really disappointing, that Mr. Triple Double is already gone.

Look at his shooting,  0-11 FGM-A, is that for real?

Man, I'm telling you, Westbrook might become a bigger problem as the season goes on, they should consider trading him, he simply does not fit on the system of the LA Lakers.
1338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most of the Tokens are traded on small Exchanges, Is it Good or Scam on: October 21, 2022, 11:56:31 AM
Well, the fact that most new coins are listed in new exchanges or small exchanges. But, it doesn't mean it was a scam until proven. However, if we talk about questionable exchanges and we have to be careful with this because even investind and trading potential coins like Bitcoin is highly at risk.
We should have to consider these two things, (a) the exchange and (b) the coin...

I alwasy check the reputation of the exchange and the project as well before I conclude it was a scam or not.
1339  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Currency should be Integrated into School Curriculum on: October 21, 2022, 11:19:26 AM

but the problem is that I still see that the teaching staff in schools today are not all literate with current technological advances. even the teachers in schools who use crypto I think there are still few. so it is not yet possible for those teachers in schools to teach about cryptocurrencies. but maybe the next generation of teachers, namely generation Z, so I think discussing crypto at school will make sense to be included in school lessons. because the next generation of teachers must be more than those who are familiar with crypto and have even entered it. so it's a matter of time.
Perhaps, they can learn over time as well. And if the time will come that crypto is pushed through to teach in school, I believe they have also hired someone capable enough to teach students. It is only hard at the start but once there is continued learning and research, and teachers look at the market in a positive way, it becomes easy for them to understand. I think it needs constant training, it can't be done in one day, not even in 1 week. So, it was their responsibility how to do it in order to become effective.
1340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another opportunity is coming, a time to hold on: October 20, 2022, 10:22:07 PM
For me, it’s now or never, as we can’t afford anymore to miss the train while there are huge opportunities to own and store bitcoin now.

Enjoyed reading the writing made by the author. Whatever predictions are written from sources I hope can happen. But if we look at a lot of news that it is likely that 2023 is a difficult year due to the state of the global economy and the rise in bank interest rates increases. This gives the world a chance of a major recession. According to the sources I have read at the moment, there have been many Banks that interest-rate increases. Meanwhile, economic growth is moving slowly.
If you think about it logically, If a recession really occurs, will the Halving period of 2024 still make prices increase? The reason is that many investors are afraid to enter crypto, investors choose to keep USD, so there is no large enough flow of money to crypto.

Source: https://www.worldbank.org/en/news/press-release/2022/09/15/risk-of-global-recession-in-2023-rises-amid-simultaneous-rate-hikes
it is logical to understand that the banks are really competing with crypto in order for them to keep alive. Their aggressive movement creates another market impact in terms of volume but I wasn't thinking that investors choose to keep USD and are afraid of crypto. It was just the time for the recession has come and many investors stop investing in Bitcoin as they are waiting for the recovery. This is also what we have seen in the last bear season, huge market demand comes during the bull season, and probably the same scenario we're able to see again.
