1341  Other / Meta / Re: Remove Signatures from Altcoin-sections on: December 24, 2020, 07:52:59 PM
I think even this won't solve the problem in altcoin sections. People have spam in their blood, veins. Idk if it sounds funny and illogical for you but personally I think that people will spam with the same rate even if we remove signatures.

But at the same time if we remove signatures in altcoin section, then the wave of spammers will invade the other four sections. As I mentioned, we can't fix the problem and even if we try to fix that way, then it will cause worsening of the situation in other sections.

Also, huge traffic comes on altcoin sections and theymos knows that. The traffic of this website generates revenue, higher traffic = more money. It should cost a decent amount of money to keep this forum (servers, etc) and moderators, we shouldn't blame theymos.
1342  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Browser Extension that Gives Bitcoin on: December 24, 2020, 07:15:36 PM
It's a pretty reputable service and you can trust that it's legitimate. That's if, if you're fine with what you're giving them in return. They have to make money one way or another, right? As they're a business.

I don't have any sources to back this up, but it's probably safe to assume that they're giving discounts in exchange for your data(feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). If you're fine with that, then use it to receive some sats after every purchase. If not, then don't.
To be fair I haven't heard about this one, seems it offers the service similar to Rakuten but pays in bitcoin. It's affiliate marketing, they bring customers to certain companies and in exchange of this, they give some percentage to these companies. First of all what I would say is that it seem great bitcoin supported analogue of Rakuten and that's welcome for me. On another hand, you are right, these companies earn money from us + use us for their statistics to further develop the marketing of their products and that's bad. I think it's disrespectful but they pack it like they take care of us.
1343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casinos and Sportsbooks missing from Bitcointalk? on: December 24, 2020, 06:03:21 PM
Not all people working with cryptocurrencies know that by creating your own thread on this legendary forum you can promote your project for free among a huge number of crypto enthusiasts from around the world, as well as get real feedback.

The answer is simple - the more we share information about bitcointalk.org the more people will communicate here and post information about their services, whether it's a casino or a bitcoinmixer.
Do you seriously say that? If anyone is into crypto, I have no idea why they shouldn't know anything about a website where the creator of bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto was posting.
It's unimaginable especially when it comes to business. When they hire marketers, project managers, PR and other staff, some of them should know bitcointalk, especially marketing manager cause it's their duty to make the business popular. If they don't know btctalk, then they are bad managers and shouldn't be in marketing. If they ignore bitcointalk, then it's their choice, maybe they have other and better marketing strategy but I highly doubt there are casinos as popular as those who are active on this forum.
1344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OTC Over The Counter BTC Trading? on: December 24, 2020, 05:10:47 PM
I know case when one company was buying a lot of bitcoins from miners and in this case, it was BitFury if I am not mistaken.

OTC transactions will affect bitcoin's price but wait, it's not direct impact that it has but the psychological one. When "Joe" reads on website that PayPal is interested in bitcoin and hears that omg, PayPal buys thousands of bitcoins, then Joe will think that oh, if PP buys bitcoins, it means that price will rise. At least, the major payment service provider is interested in it, this should have a huge positive impact on bitcoin's price. And then Joe starts to sell bitcoin in high price while PayPal will have their own agreement with providers and price and negotiation will be different from real one.
1345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any insurance service for gamblers to retain heavy losses....??? on: December 24, 2020, 04:10:03 PM
There isn't similar service and won't be. When it comes to insurance, you pay a fixed amount of money. Years may pass and you won't have a need to use insurance (health, auto, etc), insurance covers the things that are unlikely to happen from you (Do you want a car crash? No). It happens like money is collected and spent on those who need it at the moment in different things. Gambling addiction is a thing that needs treatment. When you pay for example $100 in gambling insurance while losing thousands of dollars, it's can't be a profitable business. You gamble and it's mathematically guaranteed that you'll lose on long term and since insurances work on long term plans, it won't happen.
1346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible that number of miners will decrease for a while? on: December 24, 2020, 03:25:23 PM
That depends on some factors and what kind of miners you mean. There is a rise in the number of people who mine at home at the moment and that's why GTX1080, RX580 and others are pricy lately. But, when more people join the mining process, the higher the difficulty gets. But, average Joe can only buy miners and GPUs that companies manufacture and here we will the declining number of "at home" miners. Companies like Bitmain, BitFury and others will manufacture better equipment for them (everyone knows how shady Bitmain is), on another hand, mining has turned into commercial business, so, the number of miners will decrease.
1347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sport betting site offering bets on the Covid-19 pandemic. Worst site now. on: December 24, 2020, 11:41:10 AM
While watching a streamer of their gambling bets they showed a site where they had lines for something to do with it. Embarrassed
I was appalled when I saw one of these sportsbetting sites were having odds on the covid19 virus.
I didnt see the details of the bet but it couldnt have been good. Undecided
They should lose their license if they are putting lines up for this as it not a joke or something to bet on.
Maybe they shouldn't lose their license because of this, it's their wish to accept bets on anything they want but at the same time accepting bets on this isn't ethical. They may earn some money at the moment but I think it will be a dark spot in their business. Every business and yeah, casinos too, need to take care of their customers and respect the society, do activities that will benefit the society and increase their social status positively. Accepting bets on covid, to my mind will make their status very negative because there are a lot of people who has siblings, friends, that were a victim of covid pandemic and earning money from it, you know, is terrible.
1348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Human Rights Foundation now accepts Bitcoin with BTC Pay Server on: December 23, 2020, 07:09:39 PM
It's already good that bitcoin is accepted in another sector, in HRF in our case but you know what's even better news? They use BTC Pay Server instead of 3rd parties. At some point, adoption of bitcoin from the organization - Human Rights Foundation, for me, means the message: It's humans' right to use bitcoin and independent payment systems and currencies.
Btw what do you guys think about Human Rights Watch? It's the oldest and the most active organization worldwide, will they follow the HRF and implement bitcoin payments? Or will just continue their work without this?

1349  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase After 5 days, we will automatically sell cryptocurrency in your account on: December 23, 2020, 05:18:36 PM
You already got screwed up by leaving funds on a custodial service in the past, and you pretty much did the same mistake. You've already been in this space for more than 3 years, you should've known the risks of leaving funds on a custodial wallet/exchange by now. Especially Coinbase? Quite notorious for locking up accounts.

But anyway, since they're disabling your account, they probably smelled something fishy. All you can do right now is to wait and wish they respond soon.

You might want to check this out though: https://NotYourKeys.org/
I think we shouldn't answer everyone with the text "not your keys - not your coins". It happened and this man is in trouble right now and our priority should be to help him instead of judging.

are they not interested in getting more customers by providing them better support and i am sure exchange like coinbase who are implementing more coins are well aware of customer support.
Because customer support is expensive. Why waste money on employing more staff when they can just increase their profits instead. You have just proved exactly why they don't need to provide better support: Even when users have terrible experiences with Coinbase and share them online, instead of people saying "Oh my god, that's terrible, I'm going to withdraw my coins immediately so it doesn't happen to me", users like yourself say "Well, it hasn't happen to me, so I'll just keep using Coinbase". Everyone thinks it only happens to other people until it happens to them, at which point it is too late to get your coins back. People continue to make post after post after post about how terrible Coinbase is, and users like yourself continue to ignore them until it is too late.

There is a reason that people have been warning against using Coinbase for years. There is a reason that there is an entire #deletecoinbase campaign. Do yourself a favor and take control of your own keys and your own coins.
It's not a waste of money, good customer supports means more loyal customers and satisfaction. Your 1K USD loss (for example) can bring you 10K profit from some customers. Also, I don't think that it's so hard and expensive for them to hire customer supports. If they can't afford it on their own, they can make a contract with companies like Majorel that has offices in some countries where the wage is very low while quality of service is still high (Asus uses Majorel for customer support service).
1350  Economy / Economics / Re: A reward system for Covid Free people.... on: December 23, 2020, 02:58:10 PM
Eli Khamarov said great words: "Poverty is like punishment for a crime you didn't commit". And that's 100% true. This proposal isn't directly in touch with the main subject of this thread but no one will reward you for being a good boy. I don't understand at all what's going on, the people who they save have dead are those with more than 1-2 chronic diseases and their state of being was already very critical. It would be better to see the statistics of those who dead with and without covid, both of them. Personally, I think that they play with statistics. Some countries rise statistics manually in order to get help with the form of money, i.e. grants from USA and Europe. In reality, they are making tons of money (big guys) with the current situation while it really hugely affects the population.

So, the reward for covid free people won't happen. No one will help you because you are a good guy! Also, this model of reward for me sounds illogical and not so good because maybe I have been covid free from the beginning but maybe I'll get infected tomorrow, after receiving the reward.

Btw I don't know if the reward for us is the money they give us, in reality that debt will be paid by US, it's like giving out a loan and paying yourself the loan that you gave away. A lot of illogical things happen in our world.

Well, as you said.. Governments and the World Health Organization is rewarding the countries for people who are infected... is that not illogical? Why give governments money for people who got infected?..... does that make sense at all?  (Yes, the thinking behind it is to fund the consequences of this virus... but my idea will prevent it.)

You will have to think out of the box for this idea to work.... even if there are 1000s of loopholes and also negative consequences as a result of such an idea. (Why would governments be serious to curb the spread of the virus, if they get paid for people who are infected or who have died?)
In reality, a lot of illogical thing happens in our society but in this case, it's pretty logical, you help those who need it. When the country fights against covid, a lot of resources are spent to treat patients and more strict restrictions are activated in such countries, that kills business. In this case, they really need the help and it's logical to help them but the problem is that some countries manipulate with statistics and use situation to benefit themselves. They don't benefit people but their pockets so it's the sad reality of today's world. You may ask, don't they know that these countries do such a bad things? Yes, and those, who donate, are bad guys too. Big guys don't care about people, all they want is money for themselves.
1351  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎰 BITDICE.me - Crypto Casino 🎰 5.0 Launch on December 27 on: December 22, 2020, 09:08:39 PM
I have seen a lot of cryptocasino websites and think BITDTCE is quite similar to others. I don`t see any exceptional features here, so I don`t understand what way developers are going to attract people to the site. I hope project will be successful, but I would like to see interesting new games or using unique blockchain on such new sites
There are a lot of casinos, most of them aren't different and unique from each-other but still, all of them have their loyal customers. Developers can attract people with bug free games, obviously provably fair system, nice user interface, speed and flexibility of games, etc. But idk what they are exactly going to do. Would love to see bitdice alive with a lot of hypes.

On 26th of December there is an expected downtime of roughly 24 hours
As far as I know, you don't have a lot of customers, right? But still think that 24 hours downtime is a lot, really a lot, it will push active gamblers to look for another website and spend their day with them...
1352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is 2021/2022 going to see a huge boom and crash like 2017 and 2013 on: December 22, 2020, 08:29:14 PM
Personally, I think that it's still a huge boom that we see bitcoin's price higher than 20K at the moment when pandemic kills economics and fiat currencies lose their value, in time when people try to sell most of the things in order to satisfy their daily needs. I think bitcoin succeed at this moment, when everyone was leaving, bitcoin came stronger. It means a lot, at least for me and from this situation, I think that halving + all the things that happened after covid, including still rise in price, paypal's implementation of crypto services for 2021, etc etc... Will cause bitcoin's price to rise higher where the skies end. I think we will reach 50K USD or maybe 100K, but strongly believe in 50K USD price rise.
1353  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: For whole blockchain communiy. About our future. on: December 22, 2020, 03:19:36 PM
1. We will not run any ICO/ITO... other shit.
That's good but please don't ask for donations if you have all resources needs.

Idk what's your purpose and I don't fall in love with nice words, I prefer "show your work, not your words".

But they will not be able to confront the desire of everyone to directly control their own lives, cities where do they live...
There will be no confront Wink People don't want a better life. When most parts of the society have been slaves for centuries, it's in their genes, in their blood to follow that cult. One good example: When wages are low in companies while business is left with tons of profit and someone comes, asks for higher wage, you know what happens? Answer: Go if you don't like. Then these companies are even able to find people who will work on higher workload with lower wage, that's all.

I love this idea and that's what I wish to happen but... In this society, it won't happen.
1354  Other / Meta / Re: My investigation on satoshi on: December 22, 2020, 01:45:48 PM
It's good you tried something but to be fair that means nothing, at least it tells us that he wasn't American but on another hand, it also may tells us that maybe he is American but was trying to hide it by writing in that manner. You know, the secret must be a mystery, not guessable.

Btw the most curious thing is who are his siblings? (let's imagine it's a person and not a group). No one knows who is satoshi? Doesn't his mother know that she has so talented son? No one had doubts about how he was sending his time?

It just amazes me, to make a revolution in 21th century and stay anonymous, idk what to say. He deserves appreciation for only this fact alone.
1355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Gamblers! What is your excuse to avoid a game with 0% House Edge? on: December 22, 2020, 01:08:14 PM
0% house edge is a good promotion but you still need marketing to bring it to gamblers attention after 4 years relaunch.
As you say, it's just a promotion but can't make the casino keep going if it will forever like that.
And you're right with the marketing. The known casinos doesn't stop marketing even if their casinos are already popular.

Promotional offers hardly last more than one or two months. That said, online casinos have other avenues for funds apart from the house edge. One option is to g for advertisements. Most of the online sites avoid this, because it can be irritating for the gamblers. Another avenue is from deposit/withdrawal fee. An online casino can operate profitably, if they waive off the house edge, but at the same time slightly increase the deposit/withdrawal fee.

No matter what, the casino can search for other incomes, and they will still promote offers to many gamblers who do not come to their site. But some gamblers will not avoid a game with a 0% house edge, especially for a gambler who search for pleasure. Once a gambler found a place to play gambling and feel comfortable, they will not think much about the offers or the other promotional from the casino. They will think that it is a bonus for them to stay for a longer time.

I don't get it, casinos makes money through the house edge, that's the bread and butter of their business, without that they wouldn't make money. House edge has become a norms in casinos, and the competition here is the lowest house edge the more gamblers will play with them but never heard gamblers play in a casino because of no house edge, in fact gamblers might doubt if the casino is legitimate or not.
Has become the norm? It was always this way from the beginning. Casino isn't a charity organization, it's a business, activity that offers you some services while getting profit from it.  Has anyone ever seen casino that offers ads places to others? No, so let's forget this monetization method. Don't tell me that casino will run on donations too, one user here had this idea Cheesy  Also, people don't gamble on 0 house edge casinos because they don't exist and won't exist. If we want casino with 0% house edge, then we should change rules in casino products, for example: 1. Roulette must be played without ZERO. 2. If person busted at first but then the dealer followed too, then money should be returned...

If anyone agrees to do that, then 21th century will be the heaven of gamblers.
1356  Economy / Economics / Re: A reward system for Covid Free people.... on: December 22, 2020, 11:57:40 AM
Eli Khamarov said great words: "Poverty is like punishment for a crime you didn't commit". And that's 100% true. 1357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin can't be banned on: December 21, 2020, 01:51:10 PM
I have already posted a different opinion in this thread and I would stick with it that states that banning has no idea, they claim that bitcoin is the underground currency, so if you ban it what will change? Nothing, if we follow this accusation. If you make things illegal, people will always find a way to break through it and new method will be hard to catch in future but possible, it's a never-ending cycle.

But right now, a lot of companies implement bitcoin and a lot of them build businesses around it, it's getting stronger day to day, nothing has become so strong and popular in such a short time. We live in an era of information technologies, where innovations and new trends are coming quickly, everyone tries to follow the latest trends and bitcoin is that trend along with blockchain technologies, you can't kill the trend and it won't even die.
1358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Senator plans to teach Congress how to use bitcoin to reduce the national debt on: December 18, 2020, 06:41:13 PM
Not even Bitcoin can stave off where the national US debt is going. They're increasingly spending more than they earn (I'm also not going into how they printed in just one month more money than Bitcoin's market cap at one point, famous headline ho ho) and they're not going to be spending less any time soon with fresh stimulus needed to prop the country up post Covid. Congress doesn't need teaching. They just need to get a little brave and maybe reject some of those defence Act amendment bills. Not that that alone helps.
You are true, USA is printing so much money and it's debt is going through the roof + they are giving away some money to other small countries to help in this pandemic but the most curious for me is that despite the fact that US debt is rising, in some countries, people prefer to stick USD instead of their national currencies and even value of USD rised during the pandemic.
Btw I don't know why they think that saving assets in bitcoins will help the whole USA economy but I think, truth is that people try to make themselves popular by stating something around bitcoin.
1359  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What I think every trader should do to stay in the green on: December 18, 2020, 05:46:39 PM
So, according to your post, it seems that for traders, in order to stay green, they should use your website. Well, it's okay to use your website since you offer it for free and don't require anything, no complain about that but the way you promote your website is a little bit shameful. You could just open Announcement thread and write more details here.

I still think that this calculator means nothing. You can't plan trading because you can't control good and bad moments. If there are a lot of good moments, then you have to break through your strategy and follow the flow. If there are bad moments, you won't be able to profit but you may lose, still better to leave your strategy for a while. That's why I think it's useless.
1360  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ Bet online ᐉ BTC Betting ᐉ Online betting odds on: December 18, 2020, 04:58:40 PM
Hello guys!

Thank you for your feedback! We apologies for the troubles caused. We continually improve our service quality to deliver you the best gambling experience and we are assured of taking into consideration your feedback! If you have any issues, please, let me know or contact our support\security team - we will carefully investigate your issue.

@dypper, regarding your main account (which wasn't mentioned in your first messages), i've sent a request regarding it - the answer should be within a few days.

By the way, there are already quite a few videos on web about 1xBit.

Have a good day!

Sincerely, 1xBit Team
Apologize means nothing, when your business goes so wrong that you have to say apologizes multiple times to people, then these words lost their value and mean nothing for people. Just prove that you really care about it and don't blindly write these words because it even turns people into mistake and some may believe in your words. Prove it, then talk, let's show us the progress.
Since you actively read this thread, then I have one question. Officially 1xbit says that 1xbit is a whole different company and they have nothing common with each other. What would you say about it? Personally I know that you two are the same, you have tables in evolution gaming in the same studio and I know more details about it.

Another question that I have: There are a lot of other scam websites that claim to be scammy 1xbit. Why don't you do anything against these websites? It looks like you even do another scam via them.
