1361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to investigate and research new projects ? on: October 13, 2022, 01:55:17 PM
I have tried several techniques to find out if a project is real or a scam, but the result is that I have been scammed by a project that I think will skyrocket, of course it is very difficult to avoid a scam project and the best thing is to invest with a small value.
You fail because;
 1. you never believe what you have heard around -  I know you already know how these scammers work but you are still able to try despite of it
 2. you still think that there is easy money in crypto - mostly the mindset of the people had changed when seeing a huge offer
 3. you are not making research in real life - because if you sincerely doing this, you will not fall into investing in scam projects

I see it was regretting but it is our fault and we need to change our attitude.
1362  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto agents on the increase on: October 13, 2022, 12:49:35 PM
scammers are certainly looking for many ways to trick their victims, they will continue to innovate to convince people with all their evil ideas.  chat via telegram is not a strange thing, maybe this is the easiest way for stupid cheaters because it is only tricked in a simple way but people will not be easily influenced by his sweet invitation.  we just need to report and block immediately when suddenly there is a DM from an unknown stranger
Very often you find DMs on Telegram inviting you to invest or rewarding thousands of dollars for just following their advice. Scammers continue to innovate in making traps so that their targeted victims can easily enter the trap. We as crypto activists must also be smarter and more aware of the modes used by scammers. No one will give money for free with an unreasonable amount. do not easily trust strangers on the internet, they are only after our assets.

Then, it's up to you to respond but I discourage doing that especially when it talks about investing in new projects that we never know and much more if talks about multiplying your money as this is a very common trick used by scammers. Nobody will get a scam or become a victim of such trick/s if we care to listen and analyze it carefully. Scammers will take you down and get fooled if you are a greedy person. in fact, it was very common and we know what will happen next.
1363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: October 12, 2022, 11:26:20 AM

It is interesting because he will expect to entertain his fans once more, most are expecting that it will going to be an easy fight for
him and he will be finishing Ortiz with his classic fighting style.

There are lot of opinions about his next step, but all will be concluded after the result of this comeback fight.

I hope he will not fail our expectations, I think this fight is just like a tune up fight before a big fight, just like what Ryan Garcia did when he comes back to boxing. Well, we know how technical Lomachenko is, if he will use that effectively in this fight, it should be easy for him, however, we might not see a KO if Ortiz won't be desperate enough to KO Lomachenko.
1364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 12, 2022, 10:45:29 AM
Might be better if we are going to look for the KO odds, but not sure what will it be. And then the per rounds and asian cup (which offer better odds if I'm not mistaken).

I still remember that we have discussed about the contract, it is sign already and that we can safe to say that December is really the target date?

Not sure if they had already signed a contract, but by the looks of it, seemed like there's no problem for this fight from happening.

Naoya Inoue, ESPN's No. 2 pound-for-pound boxer, agrees to title bout with Paul Butler, sources say
Still few months to wait, but as long as there's no bad news regarding this, we should not worry, instead, we have to trust them and just wait patiently.

I'm pretty sure Butler sees this as the biggest fight of his career, so pretty sure he is training hard to match the monster INoue.
1365  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade with a business mindset on: October 11, 2022, 12:23:48 PM
We are talking different things on what is traded and I don't think it can be fully applied to trading crypto (or anything that has a price chart). Business people can almost accurately interpret the level of market demand, for example the need for basic goods. They can therefore adjust the numbers that consumers can reach so as to maintain regular profits.
Indeed, trading has a different approach compared to business. Entrepreneurs are really great when it comes to predictions they can read the market depending on their current status, unlike in trading where it remains unpredictable no matter how long you've been in trading. That is why for some reason some entrepreneurs don't get interested in trading because they know that they can't manage to manipulate the result of their trades which is very unlikely when you are in business as if you want grow your business it certainly you will get.
1366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all new Projects are bad, So take the Risk on: October 11, 2022, 11:35:43 AM
You said it right OP, not all are bad but we can't deny also that most of these new projects are scams which makes people think about the HIGH risk when investing in them. It was just a sort of awareness and warning that we need to be careful dealing with these new projects, it doesn't mean it stops people to invest in them. Meaning, we can still invest in them provided that we undergo thorough market research just to assure ( at least) that we are investing the right project, not scam or shitcoins.

1367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 11, 2022, 10:02:14 AM
I hope that the Dragons' defeat will now change the mindset of others that this team is unstoppable. Ginebra critics become silent when in pre-game, they are already throwing words to Ginebra that it's now another win for the Dragons.

The game is fairly done, with not many wrong calls and controversies. Good job Ginebra for shutting down those people who don't like the team.  Smiley
In an interview with the Dragons' Coach, he said that Coach Tim Cone is a very respectable coach, and that loss is also a learning to the team as well so...maybe expect a better Dragons in their next game. That game especially in the first half was a fast-paced game with many fastbreaks. I still think that the Dragons didn't expect how better the Ginebra was compared to their last 4 games, and they didn't have time to adjust thus, they lost.

Their next game will be the SMB who is in a 2-game winning streak, and they got a really good point guard as well in Stone. A team who is hungry for revenge after having their first loss versus a team who is in a winning streak.

The Dragon did not get a good production from their import unlike what Myles Powell did in the past few games. That was a big factor that resulted to a loss, if they will not make an adjustment, most likely SMB will still dominate then like what Ginebra did to them, so we should not be surprise if that will happen again.

For those who are missing Myles Powell, don't worry, there's still a chance that he will be back if the current import of Bay Area Dragons will not perform as expected, here's the article for that.

After utilizing the high-scoring guard in its first four games, the squad will now go with the 6-foot-10 center until its eighth match of the mid-season conference before choosing who to stick with for the rest of the campaign.
1368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 11, 2022, 06:37:50 AM
Let's measure the success rate by a chance and we can see that on the betting odds once it's out.

Odds are already out I think just a few days or weeks after the official announcement of this fight.

Naoya Inoue @ 1.02
Paul Butler @ 12

Source: https://stake.com/sports/boxing/international/international-matchups/42925198-inoue-naoya-butler-paul

Although betting options are still limited for an obvious reason that the fight still has months to go.

That kind of odds will not gonna attract bettors to bet on Inoue ML, it looks like an easy 2% return but would you guys have the balls to risk your money for 2% return? The chances to win is high but the risk is high as well, you choose.

No need to bet on moneyline, we have the asian handicap and it will all be available by December, so have more patience and continue just don't forget to put your bet when that time comes. It's not an easy opponent of Butler, but he has plenty of time to prepare, so he should be ready in this fight and show to the fans that he is not what they are expecting.
1369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 10, 2022, 01:46:05 PM
9 more days before the regular season starts. It's heating up already in the preseason.
LA Clippers. John Wall playing like he is meant to be on the team.
Portland Trail Blazers with Jerami Grant making them strong on the inside while Damian Lillard can make it rain outside.
More teams in the Western part will try to squeeze every win to make it to the playoffs. Even the play-in tournament will be a hot zone when the rankings end.

I am more excited about the LA Clippers, I like to see John Wall playing like a real superstar, being surrounded by PG13 and Kawhi Leonard should make inspire him more to play his best because they have the best chance of winning a championship.

On the other hand, with what happen on the Warriors, I think, one of them might be traded to the other team, if it's Green, I have a feeling that the Warriors will struggle in the playoffs.
1370  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Trading Volume really matter ? on: October 10, 2022, 12:32:05 PM
Trading Volume is one thing we look for when trading, bigger volume means there is an active trade happening on that particular coin. Though it was been a huge factor, however, it was not just to rely upon it knowing that sometimes it was been manipulated. Aside from looking at its trading volume, we also have to know more about the project just to assure that it was real, and of course, the platform we used. In trading, we need to be wise enough, we don't need to hurry or else, we just lose.
1371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: October 07, 2022, 02:49:41 PM

I'm a fan of Davis, and also a fan of Ryan Garcia, I think things will be different once they are in the ring, and I believe that Ryan Garcia has the advantage due to his height and reach, and take note, he is also quick.

No doubt that would be a must-watch fight and if ever Garcia wins, he is undoubtedly a great boxer if he beat Davis without any injury. Ryan Garcia should really consider fighting worthy opponents nowadays since he already fought a number of nobody boxers and with their current popularity and Davis, it will surely be a blockbuster hit and adding up with some roasting against each other before the fight, I tell you, that would be one of the high revenue fights this year.

That's the kind of break he needed, beating a real champion will silence his doubters and he will gain their respect. Garcia has to be more aggressive in choosing an opponent, fighting champions will certainly fast-track him to where he wants to go, and that is a success.

Sooner or later, he will have to fight a real champion whether in Haney or Davis.

But it seems that Ryan wanted more of Davis and he said it's because he want to get his respect. He has to earn it though, if he keeps on fighting just nobody there will be no respect. And so he need to demand GBP to match him with the champion in this division by this time. Haney and Loma is the real big name here, not Tank Davis, just saying.

I think he is now ready to fight a real champion as he already have two tune up fights where he won. Though it's a real fight but we know his opponents are not on his level, his promoter has to give him a chance to fight a better challenge, those two names that are mentioned are sure a great challenge for him.
1372  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: One way to avoid scam wallets on: October 07, 2022, 11:15:11 AM

People fall easily for scam wallets because of reviews and and ratings on Google play. Reviews on Google play does not guarantee a genuine wallets free from phishing or scam.

This is actually true; apps with more ratings frequently appear at the top due to the number of ratings and user reviews they receive. While it's true that certain applications may contain frauds, the majority of the best apps had to pass scrutiny in order to earn their place at the top. In order to avoid being a victim, you should conduct your own research and confirm that a wallet is not a scam or has previously been found to be one. As the OP stated, the forum is here to help.

When I choose any apps online, I usually check the reviews, not only the ratings. But as you have said, I was thinking that there is manipulation in numbers and paid reviews as well making no one will escape from getting fooled and a victim to scam apps or wallets if this is really the case. Good thing that this forum exists and gives some views and tips on how to choose legit wallets which is a big help, especially for newbies. Perhaps, the trick is very common but many people still got it, and that is because of fake reviews.
1373  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is happening with Crypto market on: October 07, 2022, 10:33:51 AM

But even so, we can still hope that when the market is bearish, we can still try to make a profit, even if not much. Yes, inflation is happening worldwide, but if we can act according to the circumstances and try to make the most of it, I don't think we will be affected by inflation and survive. But I don't expect hype from Elon Musk because he only thinks about himself. It is better to wait for other good news that can improve the market even a little.
Yeah, might say it was hard to earn a profit this time but if you are a skilled trader, it is not impossible. What just we need is to remain strong and have faith in our invested coins. We don't let our emotions bother us too much as this will lead the wrong way. The more we think about the situation, the more it affects our mindset, and can't even think of the right thing to do.

Well, in regards to Elon Musk, it was uncertain.
1374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shit coins era is going to end on: October 07, 2022, 10:05:12 AM
I hope they will put an end but what is really happening now is that they are even growing more. I think we have no way to stop these coins, more developers to come and create another bunch of shitcoins. if you have seen 1 shitcoin per day before that has been created, you'll be somehow expecting to double its numbers now and that be more in the future. And you know why, this is because these scammers will make use of this platform to take advantage of these greedy people.
1375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 06, 2022, 12:21:39 PM

On the other hand, Bossing's import Krutwig got his first 20-18-10 triple double in this conference. I don't know for others but for me, this is the first time that I saw an import who focuses also on passing aside from shooting. Most of the time when we see imports in PBA, we often see them shooting, but Krutwig is different since he is also passing. I think with how they are playing; they might reach the playoffs again this conference.

Good import indeed, however, we cannot deny that Blackwater has really improved, they have a roster that plays like a good teammate, and they don't rely on someone that's why they are fun to watch now. In fact, even in the all Filipino cup, they are already fun to watch, it's just that they are not a championship team but they are a competitive team.

We can see that, but improvement is not enough, they should be a title contender if they want to be a champion, but if this team is just a farm team, then there's no chance there will be a consistent improvement as their big boss might just take away their best player as long as they see he is ready to play on their team.
1376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 06, 2022, 11:36:50 AM
It's true, but for me this is a good chance to see how the player chemistry is, and of course if they are going to win their new team mates. I remember last year with the Lakers line up, highly anticipated and we say that it is not that important, as the impression on them is just like half baked. But look at how the team turns out to be in the regular season, but we can argue that it was due to injuries to their franchise like AD and Lebron that really contributed to their downfall.
They may face the same situation this season. I mean, we don't know when injuries will hit them, especially for Lebron who is getting older. The Lakers should try not to expect too much from him and do what they can to also lead the team.
Austin Reaves for example, he may not be putting much in the score sheet but we can see his presence on the court.
Offensive rebounds, steals, and defense, he is everywhere and will be a pest to every offensive player that he will face.
Davis though will be a big help if healthy for the whole year.
Lebron would not be easily injured if he will not be too offensive, I mean like driving the ball to the basket. His role should be the point guard, with that, he can just find his open teammates that will create the shots for the team. Lebron is not yet injury prone, he might be older already but Davis was way more injury prone than him, so there's nothing to worry, I'm more worried about Davis.
1377  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is anyone buying right now because they think we are at or close to the bottom? on: October 05, 2022, 12:38:53 PM
Well, it is not a question if people buy because of thinking about the bottom is coming but certainly, because they are thinking that this is an opportunity. Perhaps, the idea that we have been using before "buy low and sell high" is really effective and obviously, this is what we applied.
It is people simply think that buying today will give them profit when the market is in bullish again. And it was a mindset now, especially for long-term investors and have an experience in the pass bull season.
1378  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's alright to lose and learn on: October 05, 2022, 12:18:12 PM
It is very often we commit mistakes that result in losing but never do we think this will be the reason to think of our failure. Yes, it was okay to make mistakes and losses some money because in that way we learn something from it. I'd say this is not an unusual thing to happen in crypto, especially in trading but from that experience, it helps us become more cautious and mindful of our doings for we don't want it to happen again.
We lose, we learn, and we improve...that is how we develop ourselves into a better one.
1379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 05, 2022, 11:34:33 AM
Is there a change of schedule?

SMB now is playing against Bossing, I thought they will be playing the Bay Area Dragons... Smiley
Correct me if I'm wrong, maybe I was not able to read the schedules clearly.

I don't know mate, but all I know is that Blackwater has upset the SMB in their first game. Blackwater had a huge run in the 4th quarter, Amer and Ayunayun were the heroes on that game, congrats to them, I think SMB cannot beat the Bay Area Dragons with their performance.
1380  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin hit 2022 low again? on: October 04, 2022, 10:03:11 PM
Today the Red Again Market and have been more than a week of bitcoin prices below $ 20K, I hope the market will immediately rise so that it can profit again, another impact is of course the number of altcoins that drop significantly so that it makes us more loss.
I don't like the situation whereby if the price of Bitcoin drops some of began to understand it in different ways, actually it's quite understandable that bitcoin price always get increase or Arise whenever it experience low value, using last two days as an illustration, when it's red, it do experience positive reaction as resurrection within interval.
It is moving like a roller coaster in the first place. It moves up and down depending on the market supply and demand which really affects not only Bitcoin but also the entire crypto market. If we have a long experience in the crypto market, we no longer get surprised about the situation because that is what we usually experience. As we are experiencing bear season this year, this will surely change in the coming years. We have a so-called market cycle and that is certainly comes whether we like it or not.
