I personally don't think that casinos are used to wash money. At least anymore. Laws are too strict on that. NTFs however...

I think otherwise, many people still use casinos to wash money.  I think this is one of the problem that will stay no matter how strict the casino is.  A player can provide the proof where the fund came from but the person on the receiving end of that fund will never know where it is coming from nor the source of that money since it has been mixed in the casinos hand.  In cryptocurrency, the fund is often released from the hot wallet of the casino and not from the address of the person who withdraw the money.
-cut-
You are talking what happens after we withdraw our money from casino, but i meant that person on the receiving end would be that casino in the first place. They have an obligation too to check that money is legit in the first place. And once again, we are not talking about small sums.

But i am not an expert in any way about money laundering tactics and you might be correct. I however wasn't talking what happens after casino.
1462  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking for Website Recommendations on: July 01, 2023, 06:44:29 PM
Looking for websites to move my referral program to, from bcgame. I have a very successful campaign on stake and bcgame with 6 figure earnings, but bcgame has nerfed my affiliate % from 35 to 9.8. If any website has a better affiliate program and can offer some sort of welcome bonus for my high roller referrals on sign up, please let me know. Would be highly appreciated.

So BCGame made you work for them by promising something for it and now they are basically withdrawing their promises, and while doing that also undermining your work for them.

I'll bet that they have something in their tos that they can change any terms at any time but still that doesn't sound fair. At least you should keep that 35 from the players you already got for them, that would make sense.

1463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My bitcoin journey mistakes and moral lesson on: June 30, 2023, 12:52:18 PM
I ignore people's investing advices all the time. And most of the time i've been right. I have missed 2-3 moon rockets because of not listening but also avoided 100+ rug pulls and crashes. When people are giving you an investment advice, they are usually shilling their own bags, and yes sometimes they are right about it but don't trust them blindly. When you study whitepapers by yourself you might find gems yourself. I know i did.

In hindsight you always see clearly what you needed to do. But remember that most of the people aren't giving investment advices because they are just good people.
1464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: June 30, 2023, 12:41:55 PM
Are we actually anticipating a fight like this to occur before? Like two well billionaires coming out to shame themselves on what ground? Americans will never let you think they are cowards in public. But we often forget that Elon is from South Africa(lols)

When I learned about the fight between the two billionaires(Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg), I know that it will never going to happen. Something will give rise to its cancellation and Elon Musk's mom was the one that pulled the plug.

I saw the tweet and thought this is over now, but apparently it isn't. Press just jumped the gun because they wanted to be first to say it.
Elon seems to be planning to practice with his fan that happens to be a sensei etc martial art teacher. And Elon just tweeted that the fight will take place in colosseum, but you can never be sure if he is joking or not. I am guessing he is not, but in case he doesn't want to fight after all he can say that ofcourse he was joking.

Doesn't look good, to be honest! The driver's license and passport should be more than enough. In majority of the countries, a passport is considered the highest level of verification because it usually requires police verification before you can become eligible to get a passport.
-cut-
Sure but for example in our country we don't have our address in any ID, and if OP didn't have an address in ID, they need to confirm it, especially if OP has used VPN, placing OP to other country. I am not sure what's going on here but bouncing back and forth in a bill loop sounds odd to say the least, but at least OP isn't getting blocked and he/she wants to solve the issue politely. So i hope OP gets his/her issue solved. Maybe there is just some human error and this need to be solved by the right admin.
1466  Economy / Economics / Re: Ignore this Classic Business Law or Follow Your Instincts? on: June 29, 2023, 10:44:32 PM
Was it Warren Buffet who said that he doesn't invest into anything that he doesn't understand. Which is a solid point but also rules out lots of potentially good investments.
I get why someone wouldn't invest into something that didn't have a plan to make profit, but i constantly invest into things i don't fully understand. That's because i am honest to myself and admit that there are smarter people than me. Usually i listen to several smart people before buying something. I am not always the smartest guy in a room and sometimes get fooled, but i've learned a lot from those mistakes and now i require much more information then i used to.

But i still wouldn't invest into anything that didn't make sense to me. That i see different than not fully understanding (tech) and still buying.
1467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best NFT marketplaces? on: June 29, 2023, 10:32:51 PM
Besides OpenSea and Rarible, do you know of any other NFT marketplaces that are worth exploring? I'm looking for a place where I could find quality NFTs that are worth the long-term investment. ETH-based marketplaces would be fine, as long as there nothing Solana-based. Any suggestions and/or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley
I have been using Magic eden, but mostly for SOL based NFTS. Now it also has eth, polygon and bitcoin nft support. Then there's Blur which is definitely worth a look. It's cheap to use and you get blur token airdrops for using it. They most likely aren't worth much, but free tokens are always a nice plus. I used to use Immutable Marketplace and Tokentrove a lot for trading Gods unchained cards, but i am not sure how those are doing these days.
1468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a good time to buy BNB? on: June 29, 2023, 09:57:48 PM
Binance's native blockchain token (BNB) experienced a dip in price after the SEC fiasco. The exchange is facing heavy pressure by the US government regulatory agency. If Binance wins a lawsuit against the SEC, BNB's price could go all the way to the moon in an instant. But if it loses, BNB could experience new lows until it goes below the "triple digits".

I'm wondering if now is the good time to buy BNB or should I wait a little bit more? The crypto market is still bearish, so we should expect further pressure against an altcoin like BNB in the short term. Who knows if BNB will reach higher prices in the future? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
I think that whomever wins, result of it won't get decided for a long time and there might just be a bullrun before it. Imho BNB just could be safe investment before it, but i have been constantly changed my mind about it. On the other hand the lawsuit could take years, and on the other hand all the markets need is a rumor to move them.

Binance probably doesn't fall unless CZ goes to prison, and even then they just might pull it off. Bitmex CEO went to prison but they didn't have any native token that would be a central element of that exchange. There will be many moving pieces on this and result is hard to predict.
1469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yield farming vs Staking on: June 29, 2023, 09:47:03 PM
I've came across "yield farming" which looks quite similar to staking. You basically go on a "hunt" for "De-Fi" platforms which offer the best rates for your stablecoin (or token) holdings. This is done in a non-custodial manner through the use of smart contracts. On staking, I can basically "delegate" my coins to a validator and earn daily income.

What I want to know is if "yield farming" is better than staking. An overview of the advantages/disadvantages between the two would be nice. Any clarifications would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley
Better how? They are build for completely different reasons, other one is keeping chain secure and other is being a liquidity provider. I don't think they are comparable in any other form than their APY

With staking your money is relatively safe, and while yield farming might give you way more APY, but at the same time your money is far from safe as there's a risk of impermanent loss. Not to mention possible DeFi protocol code vulnerabilities.
1470  Economy / Economics / Re: What could Elon Musk be buying next? on: June 29, 2023, 09:36:03 PM
My question is, what big purchase could we see Elon Musk likely make this year?

Afaik Elon Musk is interested on AI projects such as ChatGPT in which he invested already 50M for the development of this project. I think the closest company that Elon next big/notable purchased will be an AI company that will succeed first on the advancement of AI. Elon really likes a company with crazy idea that will give huge leap for technlogical advancement of human.

ChatGPT is the number contender for the next company being privately owned by Elon Musk. I'm not updated on how ChatGPT ownership status now but I'm sure ELon is really interested to acquire this project.

Source: https://www.cnbc.com/2023/05/16/elon-musk-says-hes-the-reason-chatgpt-owner-openai-exists.html#:~:text=Musk%20was%20an%20early%20backer,emphasis%20on%20safe%20AI%20development.
I doubt he will, he left OpenAI board in 2018. I am guessing he is pissed off because they made ton of money with it after he left, and that's why he is attacking lately how AI isn't safe enough. I am sure that he would love be a part of it but i don't think board is letting him in with any money. He is just too unhinged. But he probably will find some new potetially good AI to back, or he has already backed them.
1471  Economy / Gambling / Re: Loophole in stopping Money Laundering through Wagering on: June 29, 2023, 09:24:52 PM
You want to test the system out and deposit $1,000,000 and play dice at x1.01? What are you going to do when you lose 1 of your bets and say $250,000 goes in the toilet?

I'm not sure why they have a wager requirement really except to make a user wager on the site. They say for anti money laundering but essentially making a wager 1x is pretty easy no matter the amount. Where you really need to be concerned is when they ask you for proof of funds. If you cannot prove where the funds came from in a way that satisfies their requirement, you could lose it all.
I am guessing that op means that you would get washed money. As i imagine it would cost lot to wash it anyway. And you still would have to pay taxes for your wins in order it would be clean. But there's one problem OP didn't thought about, and that's FATF travel rule where you have to provide a proof where you got that money in the first place. Casinos are legally obligated to freeze your funds for inspection if they suspect it's dirty money, because of AML laws.

I personally don't think that casinos are used to wash money. At least anymore. Laws are too strict on that. NTFs however...
1472  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: June 28, 2023, 11:41:01 PM
The sad truth is that, only a few people actually plays the demo version of the games if their have the option to play the real game because there is a difference between the two sucne demo games lack some features that are available on the real game because the original game is develop to meet the expectation of bith the casino and the players but demo version is more or less for tutorial and nothing more than that.
I am one of the few who plays demo games. If i feel the need to play slots but i ran out of my weekly budget, i might just play demo versions. That cheats my brain and i for some reason feel more or less the same when playing with real money. At the same time i try to get a handle how much could i get if i was lucky and how much would i lose if unlucky.

I haven't felt the demo versions giving me any more wins then real money which surprises me but i am thankful that they keep the real experience and don't try to lure in with fake high probabilities.
1473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TrueUSD (TUSD) Next stablecoin to depeg? on: June 28, 2023, 11:35:02 PM
Looks like there might be another depegging going on. Apparently the company who is in charge of TUSD has gone in receivership. And there is speculation that TUSD is insolvent.

Word is out that it’s being propped by Binance and will soon depeg. Apparently you can’t redeem TUSD anymore. Someone tried to redeem for USD and got sent USDT instead. Currently it’s popular on Binance due to 0 fees and much of this stablecoin is locked up.

However if you look at the curve stats you can see that something like 70% is of the TUSD stablecoin. Also looks like a slight depeg just started at 0.9975
I have seen it shaking way worse before. Might be just starting but in charts it doesn't seem that much.

Funny thing is that all of these coins were created as alternative to ustd because people thought it wasn't going to be solvent enough and there was market for alternatives.

USDT is still standing, and it had the most fud any stable coin ever recieved. That says something.
1474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Return Of Terra Luna Classic on: June 28, 2023, 11:25:40 PM
I don't believe in revivals. Sorry.
And I also don't believe that investors will be back because the damage was already done. It's like a scar that won't heal that easily, trust rating is so down that they might not get a good investor to risk their money. And even if they try to hype it on social media, it will just be ignored especially those who really bought it before and put their trust in it.

Another reality, in my experience, is that no cryptocurrency that once fell just like Luna did came back strong. It's better to just get over it and find another project in which you have a higher chance to gain profits.
It sure has its potential and even hit the trend back when it was so hot in the market but it's gone and reviving it is "pointless" for me. My suggestion is they try to rebrand and create something fresh.
Yep, and from all the dead coins why revive something that was born out of scam and developed by criminals? Only reason i see to it that these people hold insane amounts of dead coin and want their exit pump by hustling next wave of investors. And they only see that it might just go ATH, which it obviously won''t ever do.

Sadly that's not enough reason to kick you from this forum, but i'll make sure newbs know you are a scammer.
1476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: June 28, 2023, 11:07:27 PM
I will go for Mark Zuckerberg for this fight as he's fit and do some sort of action training already, I am not sure which particular activity, maybe it's taekwondo? Whatever.
Elon is lazy and heavy, he will struggle taking on an opponent who is much lighter and faster than him in the ring. So, there you go, it's a clear win for Mark.

Outside the ring, Elon dominates Mark in any possible comparison. Smiley
Mark has Brasilian jujitsu background, which is perfect for cagematch as most of the fighting is not going to happen standing up. Only way i see Elon winning is him taking ton of stereoids and enhancing drugs and not getting caught. And those would probably make him even more scary crazy and unhinged as he already is. I am not paying to see this happening live but i will bet for Mark if this is actually happening.
1477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why most premined coins (>90% of all altcoins) will eventually fail on: June 28, 2023, 10:57:05 PM
I think premine isn't bad as long as it's not distributed in a corrupt manner, if the project has utility and keeps on innovating I don't think they'll be gone in just a decade.
The problem is: how do they keep innovating once the premine funds are gone?
If the product isn't standing on it's own feet at that point, why would they need to?
You probably can count that as a failed product if it still needs another funding round.

At the same time funding incentives developers,[...] Some coders definitely want to do it for free, but can we rely on those?
There are other models for developer payments. Bitcoin's devs, for example, have sponsors like Blockstream, who make money with Bitcoin-related services. Other coins fund development via donations. If no extensive new features are needed all the time (a scripting language often provides most of what's needed) then this is often enough.
But sponsors like Blockstream doesn't just arrive out of nowhere. Bitcoin was running several years before that was even founded. These days if you want to launch another pow coin without guaranteed incentives to devs, i doubt that many would risk many years of their lives for a project battling with thousands of projects, without any certainty if you ever get paid for it.

I am assuming that you mean that everything would be better if they were all POW without premine?
Proof-of-Capacity (Chia, Signum/Burst) is also a possible alternative. And there can be a PoW distribution period and later PoS additions or even a complete switch to PoS. PoW/PoS coins have done quite well to defend to 51% attacks
Ok, good point. But i still see many advantages for premine. For example, if i wanted to form a team for a cutting edge new tech from scratch, that's formed from from talented developers, cryptographers, senior researchers, cryptography researchers, marketers, and later legal advisors, HR and god knows what. Then i am not going to get them working full day for me for fun of being a part of something new. Bitcoin had an advance of being the first and attracting right people. Pulling that off now would be a miracle.
1478  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🤠Crypto Rush for 50 000 000 BFG | $100 000 Grand Lottery💸 on: June 28, 2023, 10:07:25 PM
Germany, together with some other countries are restricted on Betfury. Allthough Betfury allows the use of a VPN, I wouldn’t open a new account by using the VPN just to avoid issues. But livechat should be able to help on this issue.

I was sure that you were wrong, because i was puzzled why would they single out germany from EU but looks like you weren't wrong and they have restricted the whole EU, with UK And US.
In fact i can't even name the countries from top of my head that are allowed.

How are they planning to raise token value and gambling volume with few countries they have left? China is not on that list but i reckon they forgot to add it. (Not limited to...)

If there's a confirmation that they allow to use VPN while you are restricted country then I think its fine if you use it since they are the one suggested that usage. But to avoid more bigger problem to occur in future while playing much better if we deposit a small amount o ly to avoid problem so that we will not get any issue of balance freezing if this incident happen. But to be sure all of this and validate all to have proof when crazy things happen always reach up their support and ask all about this so that you will have something to present as a proof when some issues happen.
Yeah this is not good sign at all. Lying to their customers that this would be ok is one of the biggest red flag among many.
Too bad, i had some hopes for this.
1479  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is hodling top 10 Marketcap coins a good tactic? on: June 28, 2023, 02:46:09 PM
Which old projects do you think would be safe? In my opinion, besides bitcoin, ETH or maybe add BNB are old projects that are both safe and profitable. For the rest, I find them all the same and even riskier than new projects. I no longer see anyone mentioning altcoins like EOS, LISK, and Namecoin... the top coins of the 2017 bull season, and most of them have been replaced by more potential altcoins like Sol, Near, and Avax...
I've got a few but I don't wanna make it look like a shill.
-cut-
None of them are "safe". If there would be safe coins this would be very boring place without any volatility.

And I think history will repeat itself when we have many potential projects like OP, ZK, APT, and ARB...they will most likely replace the topcoins of the 2021 bull season. Therefore, the risk of investing in altcoins is the same.
We will see but one thing is gonna be sure when the bull run comes, many of these will pump.
Most of them do, even dead ones rise like zombies to moon for a while. That's quite problematic for newcomers. They don't necessarily see the difference between active projects and total crap that's near death. Many of them see them as good tokens as they are only looking at the chart gains. Meanwhile bagholders that have DCAing them for years shill them for an exit pump

There however positive sides with that. Many CEXes (if you want to list on CEXes) require certain amount of native tokens of the project. There are also lots of partnerships where it makes sense to use some of the supply to those.

At the same time funding incentives developers, as developing doesn't need to be only a hobby to do when you have time from your actual work and life. Not every talented coder wants to take a risk of building cutting edge code for free at their spare time, only to have a chain that someone who has money to develope it forks it for themselves. Some coders definitely want to do it for free, but can we rely on those?

I am assuming that you mean that everything would be better if they were all POW without premine? Since POW is the only distribution model that i know that doesn't need to have a "premine" if we want to call even non-mineable tokens as premined.

But it wouldn't make any sense to put every project on their own chain. That would just create ton of different chains what wouldn't be secure.

Or maybe i am missing your point?
