1481  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is it safe to use Binance on VPN on: October 23, 2021, 02:37:58 AM
I would like to know is it safe to use the binance account through VPN ? The main reason for asking is that since VPN changes locations ( IP of different countires), binance may find it suspicious that one day you are login from one country and other day from another country.
Since they keep track of of our location, will it have any affect on your account ?

Also anyone can share his / her experience of using binance on VPN ?
Why would you want to be using a VPN? Is it because Binance is restricted in your country or something? I avoided binance.us and used a VPN to trade/exchange on binance.com. I had been doing it for months, and never had any problem. They never locked my account even if I logged in from a new IP. Not sure if it was because I had 2fa and email security enabled. But it's useless now. Verification is now mandatory on Binance.com.
1482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain Bitcoin to Newbies on: October 23, 2021, 01:32:40 AM
There's a friend about Bitcoin last 2 years who have no interest in it but I was surprised when he came to me last week to tell me what he need to know about Bitcoin. I asked him why the sudden change of heart, he told me about the testimony he hear from someone and how he would have made enough profit effortlessly.

He's still a newbie. My question is, is there a way or link for to explain Bitcoin to newbies?

Apart from the forum rules and regulations is there a thread on this forum that explains in detail the whole concept of crypto currency on this forum?
Tell him that if he is investing in bitcoin because he heard that someone made "profit very easily", then he shouldn't invest in bitcoin or any crypto currencies. He should know that bitcoin won't make him rich overnight. Let him know that crypto currency investments are long term investment. Since he is a newbie, he doesn't need to know how the blockchain or bitcoin works. Just show or teach him how to send/receive bitcoin, how to store it securely and some basics. That would be enough. If he is really interested in bitcoin, we will learn the rest eventually.
1483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we accelerate the mass adoption of crypto? on: October 23, 2021, 12:53:48 AM
We need to spread more knowledge about crypto currencies. Accurate facts. Most people know or read about crypto currencies on social media platforms like facebook and twitter. Sadly most of those posts and articles are fill with wrong information. And then there are some of those mainstream media that uses clickbait titles to attract users. Those titles somewhat tries to represent the whole crypto system in a negative way so that people click and read it. The more those kinds of posts and articles circulate, the harder it will be to create a mass adoption of crypto currencies.
In my opinion, regulation, practicality, and stability are definitely required for the mass adoption of crypto as a payment method/currency.
What are your opinions on this?
Regulation is needed, but in such a way that it doesn't destroy the main goal (such as decentralization) of crypto currencies. Stability isn't something we can achieve right now. The market will be volatile.
1484  Economy / Gambling / Re: Fast roll casinos | How fast is your casino ? on: October 22, 2021, 09:49:47 PM
Most of the casino imposes bet speed restriction so that bot or random users don't spam the servers with very small bets. But if you are looking for a casino with very fast bet speed, then try cryptogames if you haven't. The bet speeds are usually fast and the higher your wagered amount, the faster your bet speed will be. And every Monday you can enjoy unrestricted bet speed. Another way to remove bet speed restriction is by verifying your account (totally optional) or becoming a VIP user.
1485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice machine on: October 22, 2021, 12:23:51 AM
Dice have been one of my favorite gambling game and am thinking of installing a dicing machine in my home just for fun, my 17 years old son is good in playing computer games and am thinking of introducing him to gambling after all he is going to learn it whatever ways if I don't teach him how to handle gambling risk and avoid being addicted. The need to have a dicing machine at home becomes paramount and am wondering which dice machine I can go for?
You can just tell your kids how gambling can destroy someone's life, you don't have to introduce them to gambling and make them play those games.... But that's up to you how you handle your kids. I don't think you need any "dice machine" to play dice. Just get a computer and start playing over there. I am sure there are many platforms/online sites where you can play dice without having to risk any real money.
1486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How reasonable is the long-term investment in Altcoins? on: October 22, 2021, 12:20:07 AM
We all know that long term investment in Bitcoin is reasonable but how reasonable do you think long term investment in Altcoins is?
I think long-term investment in Altcoins is full of risks but short time investment is more profitable. Do you agree with me?
Investing in altcoins for long term is as reasonable as investing in Bitcoin. But you just have to make sure you invest of coins that are well known, being actively developed, has good use cases and solves current issues that other crypto currencies face. Like Ethereum and Solana are good altcoins that you can hold for long term. As long as you aren't investing in shitcoins, you will be fine. And make sure to do your own research before you invest in any coins.
1487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do you believe in market analysis published by crypto news websites? on: October 21, 2021, 11:48:00 PM
cointelegraph and coindesk are good websites. they always share the latest and credible crypto news. but often news websites like this publish predictions or analysis about the market. they share the analysis they make every week. and on average the analysis they make seems like the market will always be positive.

Seeing all that, I wondered if anyone would believe the analysis shared by news websites. I personally see their analysis as less realistic. every prediction they share is too pushy. such as the shilling effort for a certain coin. so I don't believe it. what about you guys do you have a different opinion?
Some crypto news portal uses technical indicators to predict the future price. They support their predictions with facts. Those predictions are actually legit (but remember, those are just prediction. It might happen or might not. You can never know what the next price will be). And then there are other sites that are actually paid for making posts and shilling for certain currencies. Those are just bullshit prediction. You will know when you read one. They will usually be very optimistic about a coin that no one has ever heard of.
1488  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elon Musk Sees Bitcoin Price Reaching $69,000 on: October 21, 2021, 11:23:41 PM
Doesn't matter what he says or tweets. People just overreacts to whatever he does in the crypto space. The last time Elon was tweeting about bitcoin, everyone was happy. Then again, when Tesla stopped accepting bitcoin, everyone started crying and was blaming Elon for the crash. They were blaming him for market manipulation. Yet, people still follows what he says or does. Just stop hyping his crypto memes (though I am totally fine with it and enjoy those memes).
1489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Scammers put bad impact to Our Government about Bitcoin Transections. on: October 20, 2021, 10:34:27 PM
Scammers are everywhere. I don't know why people seem to exaggerate stories about scamming when they hear crypto currencies are involved. I mean they start acting like scams like those would not have happened if crypto currencies didn't exist. People scam using fiat money too. In fact, I think most of the scams are done using fiat currency.
I guess the police were able to get to that scammer because he used crypto currencies (his transactions became traceable). If he has used fiat, he probably would have escaped without any issue.
1490  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fomo AGAIN? on: October 19, 2021, 10:32:48 PM
I haven’t thought it could be a new ATH without a big dump to $10k-20k LOL but now we are very close to the new ATH; probably tonight, who knows. I just have realized that I'm in FOMO and get an amount which I could afford. Do you think FOMO is created once again & people are likely to get in? I have sold all my BTC long ago; later on, bought little amount only. Sad I didn’t buy the dip.
We probably are going to reach the new ATH anytime soon today. I wonder what it's going to be this time and how fast it's going to get dumped. If you "realized" that you are FOMOing, then its good. At least you know what to expect. And you have invested now what you could afford, so it won't hurt you much when the price goes down. It's okay you didn't buy the dip. You bought now, make sure you don't sell it until you reach your profit goal.
1491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin > Gold on: October 19, 2021, 10:00:49 PM
Why do people have to compare bitcoin with gold? You can invest in whatever you want and feel comfortable. Gold is gold, bitcoin is bitcoin. Those are two different things. You can't do things with gold that you can do with bitcoin. Similarly, you can't do things with bitcoin that you can do with gold. Bitcoin is a currency and gold isn't. Bitcoin was made so we could do transaction without involving third party financial organization. It was made so that only we control our own finances. On other hand, gold is a rare natural resource that can be used as a store of value. A better comparison would be bitcoin vs fiat (and we have seen a lot and know who clearly is the winner).
1492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why shiba inu not come 1$ on: October 19, 2021, 09:44:24 PM
Look at the total token supply and then see what the market capitalization will be if the token reaches $1. It is going to be very huge. So huge that it will take over bitcoin, which will never be happening. The coin has value because of the community. They are all buying and holding, hoping that the price will go very high. The coin has nothing new to offer. Once the hype is over, the price will drop.
Because this is a shitcoin that is only used by Elon Musk to manipulate market for His own benefits , he keeps Pumping this coin to gather noob investors and then will dump the value.
-snip-
Shiba Inu isn't manipulated by Elon Musk... Where did you read that he is pumping and dumping the coin?
1493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Issue of fixed Matches on: October 19, 2021, 09:21:46 PM
I was with a friend today who was in a hurry to place his bet on some numbers that were sent to him for some football matches that he believes are fixed. I'm a bit confused how fixed matches work.

Are fixed matches real? Do the coach and players of teams were matches have been fixed, do they consent to it? If you were in a team were your next fixture has been fixed, what will be your reaction?

You are asking if a match fixing is a real thing or not? Of course it is something that does happen from time to time. Though it will never be obvious. Often times money is involved. The team (hosts and the organizers are also involved sometimes) that loses deliberately gets paid a lot. It is something that violates the game rules and if caught those teams are banned from playing and hefty fines are imposed on them. It is usually the whole team or just some players that are involved in fixing. As far as I know, even if their teammates know about it, they say nothing out of fear.
1494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your top coin to invest in for passive income? on: October 18, 2021, 10:14:01 PM
With there being thousands of coins all earning diferentes APY percentajes ir can be hard to choose which coin invest in to get passive income.

Share your experiencies
Don't look at the APY. Some shitcoins will give you around 20%+ APY, where as a good well developed coin might give on average only 4-5% APY. I would go for the latter because the value of those shitcoins are never stable. Those coins might get dumped and lose like 75% of their value any moment. So getting high APY from those coins are actually not worth it. On other hand, those well known top coins will give you lower APY, but you will be generating a steady profit. Keep holding and restaking your rewards. Eventually you will be making a lot passively.
1495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if stop believing about bitcoin ? on: October 18, 2021, 10:08:14 PM
People don't use bitcoin because they "believe" in it. They use it because of the advantages, security, easiness and the better use cases it has over traditional currency. And who told you that fiat currency is backed by gold? Fiat currency is backed by nothing. Those are just papers that can be printed by the government whenever they want. Yet, people still use it. People might one day stop believing in fiat currency (in fact look at some countries. Their fiat money is so fucked up people over there now prefer crypto currencies), but I doubt they will stop believing in bitcoin.
1496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advantages Of Crypto, Disadvantages of Crypto on: October 18, 2021, 09:34:15 PM
What are the disadvantages of cryptocurrencies.
Scalability,Cybersecurity issues,Price volatility and lack of inherent value,Regulations.

Advantage of crypto currencies. Fast and Inexpensive
It only takes a few minutes to send any amount of money. Regardless of the amount or the destination, Decentralized issuance, Lower fraud risks and Transparency...
Scalability? There are lots of good coins that are very scalable. It's an issue for some coins and solutions do exists. Cybersecurity? Crypto currencies are very secure. Now its up to you how to handle and store them. If you get lousy, you will lose your coins. That's your an issue with you, not crypto currencies. Afraid of price volatility? Use stable coins. And how is regulation a disadvantage of crypto currencies?
1497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Confused About what to do with a Pump and Dump token HODL/SELL on: October 18, 2021, 08:40:09 PM
I am a little bit confused about what to do what a token that I am currently holding. the token has been pumping since Octuber the first. i sold half of it in September. currently the token has done over 500% since the beginning of Octuber. i am wanted to buy more but I know it is not advisable  to buy when the marketing is pumping. I know. What is your suggestion on this project. i know the price will go down. the more I wait the more the price raises. The token isGOMA.

Following this tread to see what you guys will say.
The coin is already up 500%. You are saying its a pump and dump token (aka shitcoin). Then why are you even asking if you should invest more right now? That would be plain stupid thing to do. The price will dump soon and you will lose most of what you have invested. You might be thinking that why not just hold till it gets pumped again? Here is the problem, it might never get pumped again and die. Stop investing in those shitcoin and tokens. It's not worth the risk.
1498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Shiba Inu Coin a better investment than Dogecoin? on: October 15, 2021, 11:35:38 PM
Neither of these projects have a valid use-case. They are meme-coins. Speculative gambling at best.
I’d be lying if I said I never owned any. But just a few dollars here or there. These aren’t serious projects for real investors. And they probably won’t be around in the next 10 years.
Based on how big the doge community is, it is very likely to be around even after a decade. It was the first meme coin and it will stay because of the huge community support. The same might be true for Shiba Inu, but the chances are low. Like you said, both are speculative gambling. Dogecoin already skyrocketed and has a huge market cap. So right now people are betting on Shib. Look at the price. It just went up above 300% in few days. Both of them are very risky investment, but if I were you I would try my luck on Shib.
1499  Economy / Economics / Re: Is budgeting still effective in tackling the need to constantly withdraw money? on: October 15, 2021, 11:14:29 PM
By constantly withdrawing money, I am assuming you mean constantly convert it to fiat and take your profits (or make a loss), right? In that case, the only way to stop yourself from doing this is to keep a profit and a loss goal. You need to develop a sort of self discipline for this case. You need to tell yourself that you can only convert it to fiat once you reach your profit or loss threshold (why would you even convert when you are on the red zone anyway?). Keep yourself distracted and stop looking at your portfolio every now and then.
Needs and wants/problems to solve with money never stop arising, how do you handle your withdrawal?
If you have financial problems, you shouldn't be investing in crypto currencies. Invest only what you can afford to lose!
1500  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it too late to buy? on: October 15, 2021, 11:07:17 PM
-snip-
wait for correction. because we know the crypto market is going through a pump and dump. we must be able to adjust market conditions and analysts.
-snip-
Wait for correction? Then keep on waiting. The correction you are looking for will never happen. When the price went up above $20k USD, people waited for it to correct. Fortunately (unfortunately for them), it never went below $20k USD. Most of the people never bought at $20k because they thought the price was too high. They missed their opportunity waiting for the correction. The same thing happened when the price went above $30k and $40k. In fact when the price went as low as $27k after the ATH, there were people waiting for the price to go even lower. It didn't happen and now the price is above $61k once again.
Don't wait for correction. If you can afford to invest and want to hold for long term, then just invest whatever you can.
