1501  Economy / Auctions / Re: [WTS] 10 BTC (Auction starts at $1 USD) on: April 11, 2013, 11:53:01 PM
125 for 10

I can see that this may cause some misunderstandings for some, so I will clarify right here and now. Any and all bids are for *all* 10 BTC. You cannot bid on just 1 BTC. If you want to do that, you need to bid on the 1 BTC I'm selling in the other auction here.
1502  Economy / Auctions / Re: [WTS] 5 BTC (Auction starts at $0.50 USD) on: April 11, 2013, 10:42:49 PM
Title is incorrect: Bidding starts at $0.50 USD.
1503  Economy / Auctions / [WTS] 10 BTC (Auction starts at $1 USD) on: April 11, 2013, 10:41:59 PM
I'm tired of using exchanges that are laggy and take forever to process orders. I'm going to try selling 10 BTC here instead.

  • This auction will last for exactly 7 days from post
  • Payment can only be made in BitStamp USD codes
  • Bidding starts at $1.00 USD
  • Bids must be placed in increments of $0.50 USD or they will be ignored
  • Payment will be due within 12 hours of auction end.

(since I'm broke anyhow)

We can't have that now, can we. Protip for trading/investing in the long term:Act quickly, decide slowly.

Wow!  Thank you so much Grin  I'll have to paint you something now.

Paint my avatar. BEE TEA SEA.

Whenever someone claims "Bitcoin is the digital currency of the future" I never argue about the future part, just the present.

That's a keen observation Grin  Well, there was never an emerging technology which didn't have its bumps.  Do you think Bitcoin 1.0 will come with super-advanced price-stability features?  That would be rad Tongue

Bitcoin will likely end up exactly like everything else is right now, with people trusting groups of people like centralized exchanges instead of individuals (safety in numbers) and organizations using social pressures to control everything. It's human nature.

Bitcoin doesn't change the world, people do, and education changes people. I don't doubt that Bitcoin is a very good tool for education, though I fear the ones receiving  the bulk of the education are the ones losing money in it.

Disclaimer: I'm not a libertarian but I'm libercurious.

1508  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Timeline - illustrated on: April 11, 2013, 10:03:53 PM

I'd hardly say that qualifies as a transcript.

On that note, what the hell is BFL even doing?

I remember pricing the Bitcoin Magazine at 1 BTC for simplicity and being worried about losing money on shipping.  Cheesy
1516  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Bittleships bitcoin script for sale on: April 11, 2013, 06:45:58 PM
What do you mean sorry?

Maybe I misunderstood. Did you get scammed? Or did he just pay for it but then run away and let it die and you're just selling the original code once again?
1517  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Bittleships bitcoin script for sale on: April 11, 2013, 06:40:47 PM
If I wasn't me, I'd assume I sniped the domain. Sorry about your loss mate. Who was the scammer?

is BTC-E worth looking at and enrolling urself as exchance? as compared to mt.gox ? or its just a troll site?

No matter what anyone's opinions of the site are, you can't escape this ridiculousness:

Code:
* Min amount for withdrawal - 0.1 BTC.
* Fee for withdrawal is 0.01 BTC.

* Min amount for withdrawal - 0.1 LTC.
* Fee for withdrawal is 0.5 LTC.

It's a digital currency, it doesn't cost them anything to withdraw it for you.
