When can we pre-order SP50 machines ?

No pre-orders for gen3.

Reserved for the ST datacenter ? Mining contracts on sale soon ?
Dude, relax a little and wait for the actual gen2 launch before going into conspiracy-theory mode about gen 3 (still not before end of the year).

I do not know which sales-model will be used once it gets available (not even spondoolies knows it), and it is too early to speculate about it right now.
Those who wait are lost and left out.

RoadStress -
Will you please organize a preorder list for the preorders?  I need somewhere to send my deposit.  If the deposits are 100% refundable in view of the unknown specs, then it shouldn't matter.  Let's just call it 'SP50' for now, and start a priority list.  We don't need Spondoolies to help, we can just run this group buy up until the time they are ready to agree to terms.

Since I want to be first on the list, please provide an address today.  Instead of .1btc, maybe you can make it .5 for serious players only.  If you don't start it RoadStress, I'll have to.  Everyone would rather you do it than me.

I am not missing out on the deal this time.
1542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please stop turning into morons just because you see "Brock Pierce" somewhere on: July 14, 2014, 03:01:58 PM
I don't really understand all this Brock Pierce hate. Another person's sexuality is none of my business.

True that.  Who cares whether or not he is gay as twinkletoes sipping pink bubbly wine from a teacup.  All that shit is fine.  The hate comes from raping children.  Gay or not gay, raping children tends to invoke some backlash.

What?!  This is complete bullshit.  Now that they are getting rich - they screw the customers!  I demand access to my SP50s!  Where do I send the money?  At the end of business today, I am going to send 50BTC to Spondoolies.  If they don't publish an address, I am going to use an old one from them.  I demand preorders on the SP50 now!

Thats an outrageous thing to say Rawdog........'accountability' + 'Glodman Sachs'......in the SAME SENTENCE??? You've gone too far now.

Going too far is all part of my schtick.  Most around here got it figured out.  But for you and the other nulls, I'll mention it explicitly.
1545  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - Best W/GH/s ratio, Best $/GH/s ratio on: July 12, 2014, 09:21:42 PM
at that point it will be the 10k btu a/c window unit vs the 4000 watts from the miners in heat (ie equiv of fighing a 4000 watt space heater)

let the better device win (man it will be like trying to heat your house with the windows open same logic)

10,000 BTU/hr is 2930 watts.

https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=10000+btu%2Fhr+in+watts

If you want to get an idea of how hot your basement will be with 4 kW of miners and 2.9 kW of AC, you can try sticking a 1.1 kW space heater (or miner) in there and letting it run without AC. This won't be exact, since the airflow from the window with the AC unit will be different, but it will be a reasonable approximation.
One thing is for sure, all of us miners are going to have one happy winter with our warm families sitting around enjoying the heck out of the nice comfortable warm house.

Reminds me of W3C who held themselves out to be the supreme authority on what HTML is.  Everyone (Microsoft) ignored their commandments and just carried on doing it the way they like.  W3C is totally marginalized by the fact that the community will do what works and what they like - without regard to what some central authority thinks.  Trying to impose ideals on others tends to be met with raging failure.
I don't know much about the W3C, but it seems to be respected by everybody EXCEPT Microsoft, who has always ignored standards.
Tim Berners Lee who runs around telling journalists he invented the internet runs (in part) W3C.  They try to make things standard - it just doesn't work.  The community does what they like despite any standards authority.  Finally, the standards authority adjusts the standards down to what those in the community are doing.  It is a real apple cart / donkey thing.

btw - Berners Lee didn't even invent the hyperlink, which more or less started it all going.  The only thing Berners Lee did, was to say: "don't call me and ask me what encoding I'll use, if you go on my network (www), then just use <a href="[URL]"></a>"  That's it.  He merely published his version of a hyperlink encoding to be used on his network www.  Then everyone used that one as a
default.  Now he likes to run around taking credit for the entire Internet.  He actually did almost nothing.

Conversely, our friend Marc Andreesen built an awesome browser which made using the Internet really easy.  Andreesen doesn't go around telling journalists he invented the Internet but did 1000X what Berners Lee did to get it going.

That's why Berners Lee works at a bullshit org like W3C and Andreesen is going very cool cutting edge VC shit.

Why do people always look to one source for leadership? Is this because we are all programmed to be slaves under kingly rule.

Who is the foundation anyway? How do they own the Bitcoin Network? Bitcoin needs to stay decentralized in all aspects. We all know what happens when there is too much concentration of power in any one thing. Greed, corruption, fraud, abuse......

Just wondering if Brock Pierce resigned or was removed from the mastercoin foundation board?

edit: JR, can you please confirm that Brock is not in possession of one of the 1000 btc foundation wallets?

By my calculation, there is a 28% chance (2 out of 7) Brock has over 1/3 of the foundation's remaining funds. We, as investors, deserve to get some answers.
Shut the fuck up you imbecile.  Do you imagine there are some bylaws somewhere which set forth which rights you have as a shareholder?  Go buy McDonald's stock if you want shareholder rights. It doesn't work that way in crypto.

The board - and everyone else owes you nothing.  Nothing at all.  If you don't like the way things are going, sell you tokens.  Demanding an explanation of how the money is held is ridiculous.

Even if Pierce is a raging Pedo who likes to bop little boys all day long, he hasn't shown any inclination to run off with any of MSC's money.  I think anyway.  It is so unlikely that the MSC funds are going to be 'stolen' by the trustees.  They might be spent in foolish ways which don't serve the protocol, but I doubt anyone is going to try to steal them.  If they do, I think the backlash will be pretty severe.  Even Pierce probably can see the difficulty of doing a runner on the MSC Foundation.

So stop calling for accountability worthy of a Goldman Sachs audit.  The board is busy doing things and they don't have time to jump up to attention any time a guy who holds more than two MSC calls for an inquiry.

JR - please don't confirm anything.  You don't answer to these pussies who sit around and speculate all day about their $5 investment.

By my calculation, there is a 28% chance
Obviously you failed statistics class also.

To all our customers (even the unreal provocateur ones) - we're ok.
We got a lot of heartwarming emails and we wanted to thank you.

It's not an easy situation for us, but we'll manage. Rest assure that the orders will be shipped on time.

Some facts:

- Our houses and families are within range of the missiles. Most of the population are.
- Our offices are about 100 meter from Intel 22nm Fab (soon 10nm Fab), which means that we have excellent Iron Dome coverage.
- Flextronics manufacturing plant is in the far north, well outside the range of the current conflict. Shipping is done from there.
- The mandatory enlisting of reserved forces is minimal. None of our engineers and employees have been drafted.

Guy
Can you see the smoke from there?
Son-of-a-bitch!!!  Now they are shooting from Lebanon too!!!  Please, please, please don't hit the miners at the shipping facility.

1553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Very severe blow to bitcoin on: July 09, 2014, 10:25:09 PM

Andreas Antonop's tweet is the worst news yet that I've heard for bitcoin.

Looks like Andreas is done with the Bitcoin Foundation. Good. Screw the Bitcoin Foundation.

"I can no longer have even the smallest association with the Bitcoin Foundation, because of the complete lack of transparency" https://twitter.com/aantonop/status/486926129409052672

The Bitcoin foundation has gained Pierce and lost Antonopolos.  This isn't going in the right direction at all.

Hey Spondoolies -

I know this is a bit of a tricky question, but things are getting pretty hot over there these days.  Is there any chance of getting an early shipment going?  What are the chances Hamas is going to blow the fuck out of my $100,000 investment?  I sure hope bombs flying overhead doesn't slow down production much.

Can you please tell us: 1) what is the typical range of a Hamas missile?  2) max range?  3) How far is Spondoolies from the nearest Palestinian rocket launching site?  If you don't have all the parts in hand, do you think some of the shipping will be delayed due to need for diverting shipping resources over to the hot war?  Has Spondoolies ever considered setting up their next generation in a place somewhat further from a war zone - say Canada for example.

I'd sure like to know the answers to these question if you get a minute or two to compose them.

I'm sorry, but Rawdog your questions are insensitive, rude and frankly just show your lack of respect to the Spondoolies-Tech team and the situation they are up against. If I was them (and good thing for you I'm not) I would cancel your order and refund your (precious) money and tell you to get lost.

Shakes my head,

~Blaise

What the hell is wrong with you?  Can't you read?  I am on their side.  'insensitive'?  I am just trying to gain a better understanding of the facts.  'rude'? What?  That's not rude to ask about a very real and important aspect of this company's operations.  It's sensible not rude.  Fortunately for me, you are not them and they don't take punitive actions against their customers for simple legitimate inquires.

I thank those above who have provided answers to my questions.  I am sure the guys at Spondoolies are all glad we are concerned for their wellbeing.  Just because a bunch of dumbasses in Gaza want to go crazy - all of us trying to do reasonable business are getting upset.  I sure the hell don't understand Blaise problem with clarifications on the topic.  Maybe he is a Palestinian sympathizer or something like that.

Stop using logic, RawDog.

Spondoolies has said multiple times that they will deliver the SP30 on time and on spec in order to boost sales, so there is no schedule or performance risk associated with a SP30 pre-order.
Are you aware that BFL and CoinTerra and a 100 others said the same thing?  lol: "Spondoolies has said multiple times", therefore 'no risk'.  That is a laugh.

Listen, if just one of those rockets from Gaza gets a nice trajectory and goes straight into their HQ while everyone is working and they don't have their gas masks on, I seriously doubt the postman will be bringing any SP-anything my way.  Our mining operation depends on the range and accuracy of those Gaza assholes missiles no matter how many times Spondoolies said it would be on time delivery.
1555  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - Best W/GH/s ratio, Best $/GH/s ratio on: July 09, 2014, 05:34:44 PM
@RawDog
This is definately the wrong forum to discuss missile countermeasures.

Units will ship once they are ready.

3) Please understand that certain individuals launching more or less sophisticated rockets do not necessarily declare their "launch sites",
and most of the time specific launch sites do not exist.

Spondoolies headquarters is around 25km from the Gaza strip afaik.

Wow.  Not that hard to make a missile go 25 clicks.  How dumb are those guys in Gaza?  I think most 6th graders having a bit of advanced experience with Estes rockets are ready to move up to the next level and achieve 25km.  I sure hope spondoolies is taking appropriate cover.

This is the right forum to discuss whether or not those fuckers are going to blow up my mining equipment.  Can't Net-10-yahoo just send in some badass hellfire missiles to quite that shit going on there?  Seems like they would be able to get those people sorted out in just a few days.

1557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: The Official Mastercoin Foundation, Master Protocol & Mastercoin Thread on: July 08, 2014, 06:51:23 PM
Why Mastercoin trade volume is so low? We get new centralized exchange and still 24 hour volume worth of $338. In coinmarketcap.com that is same level with Tickets what have higher trade volume. Still price is "+15.63 %"  Shocked http://coinmarketcap.com/volume.html#msc

Speaking objectively, it is because the distribution is low and concentrated in MSC. Like with Bitcoin, the majority of those interested already invested what they were willing to invest in the past, and since  bid support is currently low since it depends on growth and not much has happened in the past couple months, any increasing ask support will send it down like it has been. 'No news is good news', so they say, which I'll admit is not very encouraging.

However, as I understand it, MasterCore as a reference platform will help accelerate development into the other features and there still is $1.8M (3x more than what we first crowdfunded with) to leverage and grow with instead of just simply working under the paradigm of cutting costs. We're reoptimizing effort vs expected output wherever we can with an emphasis of expanding into the most conducive areas of value.

I am so disappointed with MSC team! Wasting hundreds  BTC and nearly one years, you guys provide no wallet easy to use and  commit suicide by manipulating the MSC price in the fundraising of MAIDSAFE.

It's time to change the record- I think we've heard this one before.........

Read the MSC blog- cool stuff is coming. Give it time.

You can change the record all you like, you just can't change the fact.

'Cool stuff coming'?  What that silly eco project?  Another guitarist trying to sell their future income as a stock offering?  What is the latest ill conceived 'crowdfunding' effort coming to MP?

Even API Net which should have been an excellent crowd fund project got KILLED on Mastercoin because the platform now has a reputation slightly less than a serial child rapist who kills puppies in his free time.  In view of that, Ron at MP has hired a guy to find a guy to hire, to fix the bad reputation.  Since Johnstom hired Terpin as PR man, MasterProtocol has had one serious PR fuck-up after another.  Spectacular mismanagement on the face of MP.  I feel sorry for the guys actually doing their job and building something good.  However zero interface and zero communication with the public has truly killed any change MP ever had.  Now JR has a new baby to play with and 1.6 million in the bank - no need to waste time with MP any more.
1558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Masterchain.info private Fiat on the blockchain with distributed exchange on: July 04, 2014, 11:17:46 PM
I just came back from bitcoin2014 an Amsterdam and I have seen that a new coin got minted on the distributed exchange.
XXX coin/chain.
It is available under xxx.masterchain.info

The minting transaction was:
https://blockchain.info/tx/c4397e470c059dd9a2a87a63959a009338a1c59d8aea3b774df3ebf4251cefc9

The main chain address:
https://masterchain.info/Address.html?addr=1xxx1Wt8o8sv4JNdZXL8hTEZdXMTcDUa1&currency=XXX
contains 5002.24330009 XXX coins and 5002.24330009 Test XXX coins.

The details of the chain are available on the currencies page: https://masterchain.info/Currencies.html

No specific rules were published for this chain (at least google says nothing about 1xxx1Wt8o8sv4JNdZXL8hTEZdXMTcDUa1), and no sell offers are available, but the distributed exchange supports already the XXX coins.

@ XXX chain owner:
Congratulations !
I suggest that you send some portion of the coins to another address where you maintain sell orders.
The chain private key must be kept more secure than all other private keys Smiley
It would have been best if you keep the chain private key totally offline.
For this you could use the offline signing feature on:
https://masterchain.info/offlinesign.html

@ XXX chain owner:

I have seen few transaction created by you which didn't get confirmed on:
https://blockchain.info/address/1xxx1Wt8o8sv4JNdZXL8hTEZdXMTcDUa1

The reason is too small fee ( 0.000001 BTC)
https://blockchain.info/tx/1874eed879a2da857f7cfd9c3145f3673c3a497f2d7fabc9b176a6f7fe42b44d

You can either try to double spend the same outputs, or just wait and hope that this transaction will get confirmed.

Since all the following transaction which depend on that one have a reasonable fee (0.0001 BTC), there is a chance that they will all get included in one block, but this depends on the ordering algorithm that the miner uses.

I guess this damn thing didn't work at all?  Right Graz?  Are you still working on Mastercoin now?  Going out on your own doesn't seem to be producing much.

No shit.  Home Depot would be very good too.  However, I think we should continue as a group with each of these one by one.  Last week we got Newegg.  Next week we've got to get Office Depot!  Then Home Depot.

The price on Polonex is already higher than on MasterXChange.  Boy this is a great arbitrage play.  The busier market (polonex) will have higher prices for a long time.  Buy on Master and sell on Polonix
