Dont know what kind of dev that would abandon such a stable, popular coin though.
Just another reason why i suspect Kimoto is KDC, he went quiet here around the same time as our elections when he was campaigning for his internet party. Then he had his hands full with more court battles etc.
1562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2015 and WHY on: March 12, 2015, 10:26:36 PM
NXT is your best bet, DRK will be interesting to see how it plays out

Nxt is going to be a long-term play, IMHO. I'm guesstimating a timeframe of ~3 years before it pays off big-time.

+1
So many people here looking for a quick buck, i can wait, im in it for the long run.
Im giving NXT 5 years to see any significant gain, and who knows where we will be in 10 years! Its pretty exciting stuff.
1563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2015 and WHY on: March 12, 2015, 07:57:25 PM
For now I have only been invested in DRK and will probably advice investing in that only.
Apart from that I am excited to see what Ethereum has to offer.

Ethereum=SCAM

NXT is your best bet, DRK will be interesting to see how it plays out

Monero 70 votes vs Bitcoin's 66.

The altcoin section of this forum sometimes feels a bit ridiculous.

There is no point to Bitcoin now that we have the cryptonote technology

If we posted this poll for everyone to see, for example to the index page of the forum so everyone would vote, I'd imagine BTC to win.

The problem is that alot of people who are into BTC are not aware of many alts at all, some even ignore them completley and only beleive BTC to be the future, so that can make things biased in that direction too.

Yea but I am sure that 100% of the forum users know atleast few alts.
And the problem with posting the poll here is that there are many believers who only believe in alts and think that BTC will drop dead

My view is that bitcoin will always be around, but may face serious competition with other currencies that may or may not top its market cap, but in the end we will be down to under 10 cryptocurrencies once the coin wars are over.

1566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Redemption ends[Updates&Discussion] on: March 10, 2015, 09:07:24 PM
No, I'm afraid that's incorrect.

Very good, I'll wait for the analysis publication then.
unless there is a good reason not to, I agree with releasing the analysis.

I do think that it is a good move to dump these sockpupets, i just hope no innocent people get caught up in it, as others have mentioned here, that they bought stakes for other family members etc.
1567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The cancer of BitcoinTalk - Darkcoin Fanboys on: March 10, 2015, 10:17:22 AM
Now they are talking about rebranding Darkcoin!
lol
Must be getting desperate.
1568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Redemption ends[Updates&Discussion] on: March 09, 2015, 07:40:07 PM

Calm your tits. Criminal accusations? For what, taking longer than expected?

For never delivering a product. 689 pages of talk = 689 pages of NOTHING.

have you taken the time to download NCC and try it for yourself?
1569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The cancer of BitcoinTalk - Darkcoin Fanboys on: March 09, 2015, 10:28:55 AM
I have to say this from my observations:

Now please, say "instamine", pleeeease, someone pleeeease say "instamine" !!

Sorry instamine is what i meant to say, i put premine without thinking. lol
1570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The cancer of BitcoinTalk - Darkcoin Fanboys on: March 09, 2015, 08:12:58 AM
I have to say this from my observations:

1:

The DRK community appears to be very Cult like, they dont seem to tolerate the slightest amount of FUD on their thread, yet on the other hand they have been running highly co-ordinated smear campaigns on more superior (anon) coins such as XC and Monero.
They have been fairly successful at doing so, but as most people should know, XC was working flawlessly at the time that DRK was having all the issues with forking from the masternodes.

2:
They worship Evan like he is god, this is pretty obvious to me. I can see that him and his close friends will be mega rich from the instamine and will walk away with $$$ after the dump.
Seriously, he is the Steve Jobs of crypto. This should be enough to set alarm bells ringing.

3:
Anon coins are just a fad, if you are really pedantic about being anonymous, there are plenty of other anon options out there that work just as well if not better than DRK, alot of it mostly comes down to common sense.

I can see that most DRK bagholders will want to dump what they hold when the price increases, we will see a very similar trend to litecoin.

1572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Doge coin is bad on: March 09, 2015, 05:49:36 AM
as my impression dogecoin is just a copy from litecoin

but it is very popular over a period of time

And much faster: 10x

Nope.  The reason Doge is sticking around and gaining acceptance is to aggravate Spoetnik.   Grin

That seems to be the main reason it's doing well...

Additionally, Doge is still available for ordinary miner with only one HD Video card.

LTC - not.
BTC - out.

No coin is available for ordinary miner with a single HD video card.

Lulz

I'm mining 100k doge a day with my Voodoo 2 SLI  Tongue Cool

I wish! lol
I wasnt even getting 10K a day 12 months ago with my 7970! Tongue
1573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PYC] Paycoin - Going to be hard forked soon! on: March 08, 2015, 10:20:11 AM
PYC is not scam
scam is XPY <<< see they even stole our name

So you are saying this is not you?
http://www.paycoin.com/
I did not know there were "two" paycoins! lol
1574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2015 and WHY on: March 07, 2015, 08:33:43 PM
wow HZ seems like a pure copy cat of nxt.... question i have is why would any established asset on nxt AE or any serious asset want to hop onto HZ? which could very well just die due to low adoption rates? i can foresee bitcoin clones as btc only established itself in the currency coin arena while all other altcoins innovated on top of it. but having that nxt encompasses so many different sectors, i'd imagine it would be hard to compete with if everyone is already using nxt for its core features.

I agree.
I cant see anything unique about Horizon other than their message that its got more fair distribution...
1575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PYC] Paycoin - Going to be hard forked soon! on: March 05, 2015, 11:38:20 PM
Is this coin dead, or what's the status?

ITS A

SCAM

Its pretty obvious to me that KDC has some close ties to whoever is behind Megacoin if Kimoto is not indeed KDC himself! lol
above mine
below mine
I don't know how many times we need to say this? Megacoin has never claimed to have any association with KDC!

is this wonderland or what  Undecided

Not sure where you went to school, but in my book a personal statement from an individual does not equal an official statement from the Megacoin Team.  Roll Eyes

On the other hand, I don't believe any of us have ever denied there may be a connection.  Grin

Place your bets!

Team? what team?
lol
Kimoto has been rather silent lately and something seems suspicious to me.

Anyway, Kimoto seems to be the only "dev" and ive read the odd post from a couple of members who claim they are working on the project and thats about it.

Hopefully something is going on in the background, but if kimoto has been silent, it really makes me think more that KDC is behind megacoin.
1577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Redemption ends[Updates&Discussion] on: March 03, 2015, 09:41:10 PM

I voted for the globe one!

Yes i do agree our current logo looks too much like the destiny logo, the al-Jazeera looking logo should not even be a candidate IMO though! Tongue
1578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: March 03, 2015, 09:01:26 AM

Wow .... nice update ! Nxt has brilliant devs ...

i donīt agree, devs of nxt is bunch of idiots

The evidence is telling me otherwise! Cheesy
1579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paycoin (XPY) is scam on: March 03, 2015, 08:59:47 AM

1580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What cryptocurrency do you have the most faith in the long term? on: March 02, 2015, 10:07:47 AM
voted for Magi coin (XMG)

the coin for cpu (M7M algo) only, so no asics en gpu's
and the Great community.

While an innovative hashing algorithm or structure thereof doesn't necessarily make a successful coin (Myriadcoin and Quark, for example) nonetheless this coin does look interesting. I haven't heard of this algorithm before so I'm not sure how I missed it. The combination of different hashing algos combined into one sounds similar to X11/13/15 although I understand they are implemented quite differently which makes M7M more resistant to GPUs. Haven't seen it on Cpucoinlist.com which is where I usually go for CPU mineable coins. I've always been somewhat interested in Cryptonite, which I understand is the coin that it's based on, although mostly due to its mini-blockchain feature.

seeing that nxt is top right now. how fast do you think ethereum will catch up once they release in march 2015 supposedly? they do have a good following too and bigger it seems.

The question is what will Ethereum be able to do that NXT already cant, (especially by the time Ethereum launches)

We too have to consider that NXT will have had almost a two year head start.

To be exact, it's really more of a 1.5 year head-start since NXT was developed and launched in late 2013 while it seems Ethereum will be launching in March 2015.

Yes sorry i got that wrong, i read the date wrong.
