1561  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin recovering ? on: December 17, 2018, 07:00:20 PM
We could very well still not be at the bottom (we won’t know for sure ‘till after the bottom) with this small green candle we’re getting right now- there’s an increasing amount of shorts on BitMEX from what I can see, and this could end with another leg down in price once sellers come back, though this might also be a reversal (too soon to tell). It’s always good to be optimistic, though, and Bitcoin usually defies what we expect.
1562  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: minermaster.com on: December 16, 2018, 08:58:57 PM
The site does accept PayPal payments so you'll be able to dispute your transaction if they happen to be illegitimate if you do choose to buy this.

Do they refund people by locking funds from the sale or will they refund you regardless of PayPal being able to get the funds back from the seller? I'm sure there is a way to work around that, because it will take some time to have the products shipped, which grants the shop to cash out the funds before the buyer opens a claim.

There are some reviews from people having bought stuff from minermaster on youtube, so it seems that there is some legit activity going on. I like that they have their own branding on the product, which adds to their legitimacy. The only point of attention is that they use whois privacy, but since it is the main company itself, it may not be of much importance in this case.
I've used PayPal in the past, and you've got 180 days to file a dispute or chargeback a transaction through their platform. I have personally not experienced a chargeback as a seller in a while, and in the past when I had chargebacks from selling on eBay, I had funds in my account and they were simply removed when a chargeback was filed against me. I'm pretty sure that PayPal removes the total transferred original amount from the account the money was sent to, and the balance on that account turns negative and they absorb the rest of the costs. PayPal also sells debt to debt collectors in the event that someone can't pay off the negative balance in their account in the US too IIRC. Nevertheless, you'll be able to dispute and get your money back if you legitimately haven't received the product you purchased within 180 days, and PayPal's extremely buyer friendly in the first place.
1563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A cryptocurrency entirely dedicated to GAMBLING? on: December 16, 2018, 08:54:11 PM
I invested into Wagerr about a year ago, and if I recall correctly, the coin was primarily designed for use in casinos and gambling, and it fits your thread title of a crypto dedicated entirely to gambling, albeit decentralized gambling. I haven't used the platform in a while and sold off my tokens a few months ago, but if you're interested in the project, the link above works as well as this one to the Bitcointalk thread for the coin.
1564  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: minermaster.com on: December 16, 2018, 04:36:40 PM
I haven't ever heard of this company, and I've only been able to find one video on Google that relates to this product, though there are more reviews for their other product, the Pro Silencer. The site does accept PayPal payments so you'll be able to dispute your transaction if they happen to be illegitimate if you do choose to buy this. I wouldn't say this is a reputable company considering the lack of reviews for their products, but at the least they don't only accept crypto payments or bank transfers.
1565  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone here active on musing.io? on: December 14, 2018, 11:43:53 PM
Seems a bit odd to me that there's seemingly no place where you can ask questions (like a FAQ) on the site or anything besides answers and notifications to me. Seems like this site was designed with simplicity in mind, but I'm also curious as to how this site makes payments and how much posters can make- how much does a poster make per upvote that he/she gets, and how is this calculated? Doesn't seem terribly clear to me considering I see posts with 19 upvotes making less than a post with 17 upvotes, etc.
1566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The key reason for gambling on: December 14, 2018, 01:21:33 AM
Those who are saying people gamble for fun and entertainment purpose, think more clearly. If you actually wanted to gamble for "fun" then why are they spending their real life money? There are lots on casino games out there which are free to play. You basically gamble with virtual coins that has no value. Why not play those games for fun? We all know, they do it just for the money.
It's a mix of both money and fun. I don't know about you, but I just don't get the same rush gambling with tokens that have no value on a free virtual casino game where I have nothing to lose and nothing to gain versus gambling with money that I have saved specifically for gambling where I care whether I win or not. It's just not the same thing. I don't gamble only for the money, but it's not only for fun at the same time either. It's not really one or the other for me.
1567  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you move your FIAT money around? on: December 14, 2018, 01:08:29 AM
I mainly use PayPal as well for convenience and simply because I've had a PayPal account for so long. Good and reliable, never had any major problems with the site. You need to verify yourself and such to gain the full features of PayPal, but it's not a big deal in the end. I haven't ever used any other services like Skrill in a while due to reliability issues I've heard from them in the past, but I do know some people use Skrill successfully to transfer fiat money around. I've also heard of people using MoneyGram in the US as an alternative to Western Union, but I personally haven't used MoneyGram before. Just WU transfers; they haven't let me down yet.
1568  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Ways of making money in crypto currency on: December 14, 2018, 01:00:19 AM
Trading crypto currency is believed to be profitable and lucrative business only to those who have the trading skill. Apart from trading and participating in signature campaign is there any other lucrative ways in which one can make money that is less capital intensive in crypto currency?
Bounty and aidrop don't require a lot of capital, but in my opinion it's now not worth it because growth in both ways tends to decline this year, and also a bearish market where we often see blood makes trading very difficult to make a profit.
The current bear market and crackdown on ICOs recently have made bounties and airdrops shrink in quantity, and I don't see an increase in the number of bounties and such in the near future unless there's another wave of renewed interest in cryptocurrency and coin prices go up again, which may or may not happen (most likely won't IMO). Trading's still profitable even in a bear market if you know how to short (there's been plenty of opportunities on the way down here), and that's something you can practice in this market right now.

Selling digital goods and services on this forum for BTC can be lucrative, but you'll need some capital to start off selling goods and skill in a certain area to start selling a service (e.g signature design). There are many ways to make money on this forum, but nobody's going to hand it to you- it's your job to find opportunity.
1569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A proven way to make money from gambling - what's your opinion about this? on: December 13, 2018, 10:56:51 PM
I just can't believe this works with the high volume of plays needed to break even either- even with a tiny percent of loss per play, I still think that there's a significant risk of ruin over time, especially since you're risking your entire bankroll on every race. I'd certainly be interested to see you provide proof that this method of yours works, however. There's still an element of luck in this as with anything in gambling, and there's no guarantee that you'll make money with this anyhow.
1570  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Fortune Jack Bug Bounty on: December 13, 2018, 10:51:12 PM
Usually games are well testes before they are added on casino's website but that's nothing, it's good you offer this bug bounty but is it possible to play those games with FJ play money? If yes, then will users who play with FJ play money be awarded if they found bug?
Would love to get answer on this question because I can't find it on your ANN thread, nor on reddit.
I don't see why not; seems like FortuneJack's simply trying to find any errors present at all, and I don't see any FJ reps asking about whether or not play money was used in finding errors on the site. Nobody has mentioned using play money in the Reddit bug thread linked in OP as well. I would assume that it doesn't matter whether or not play money is used to discover bugs, but I'll update this post once I get a solid answer from FortuneJack.
1571  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which is better option for trading Bitcoin or stocks ? on: December 13, 2018, 01:54:10 PM
Depends what you’re more comfortable with in the end; this is the answer for many questions in this sub forum. You face much more volatility trading cryptocurrency, which can be both good and bad, while stocks tend to be less volatile than crypto currencies. If you’ve got a history of trading with stocks, for example, trading cryptocurrency will be different in some ways, and vice versa. Pick one and stick with it.
1572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Really good source for betting! on: December 13, 2018, 01:38:31 PM
Half the links to places like Discord and Telegram on Bitcointalk usually lead to blatant scams that people unfortunately do fall for, and this seems like one of them to me. Be careful about this, as moderation on this forum doesn’t extend to external sites, and you’ll need to make your own decisions then. The fact that there’s basically zero information on this thread about what the link goes to makes this even more fishy to me.
1573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer S11 from Bitmain at 20.5 THS on: December 12, 2018, 10:47:21 PM

Right now I see how all the bloggers say that the mining has died at the moment! Does it make sense to buy equipment now in long term? just now the prices are very cheap!
Depends what your electrical rates are, but for most people, mining doesn't really make sense at this moment in time. Even at 5-cent electrical costs, you're looking at a break-even period of more than one year for the newly-released S11, and nobody knows when the price of BTC is going to go up soon or if prices will just stagnate. Difficulty's indeed dropping at least temporarily, though.

If you're currently in the red for mining, unless you're trying to also use your rigs for heating and/or you're trying to get coins without having to register at an exchange or something of the sort, it makes more sense to just buy coins.
1574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you play at a casino where payments are delayed for days? Why? on: December 12, 2018, 10:38:20 PM
The casinos that impose withdrawal reviews are usually pretty small nowadays and you won't find many of them as people tend to gravitate towards casinos with quicker transaction speeds. Most of them have gone out of business or aren't too popular.

What? That definitely not true, pretty much all fiat casino's have delays on payments and quite a few cryptocurrency casinos have them as well.
I mean just look at this thread, enough people have provided examples of casino's that make you wait days before receiving payments.

Not only that, they also randomly lock payments for review.
I'm talking about cryptocurrency casinos (I haven't used fiat casinos in quite some time, but most do conduct reviews as you mentioned); I have gambled on FortuneJack and several other casinos recently, and I don't get withdrawal reviews very often, but that may also be because I typically withdraw a relatively small amount compared to what I've seen other people withdraw, and I always conduct withdrawals from the same IP address and location. Haven't gotten a withdrawal review in FortuneJack in months because of this. I haven't ever experienced delays of several days either.
1575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for mining advice. Enjoy doing it as a hobby. on: December 12, 2018, 09:59:20 PM
I've also used the cooler method for reducing noise levels in the past, and I can say that it just increases the time it'll take to break even, and the noise from an ASIC even after modifications is still pretty great, though sound levels are definitely lower than without any modifications. Such a setup also takes up quite a bit of space and isn't the prettiest thing to look at, though as you mentioned, it's a cheap way to make a miner quieter.
1576  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Reliable tor based escrow services? on: December 12, 2018, 09:48:50 PM
I agree with OmegaStarScream- as long as the things you're trying to buy or sell aren't illegal, the escrowers in the list provided should be able to service your request and escrow your transaction(s) at a low price, and the users on the list are legit. I would go to another provider for whatever you're trying to buy that accepts clearnet escrow if possible.

There are indeed many scam services on Tor, especially mixers, but there are mixers that legitimately operate on Tor. Bitblender (http://bitblendervrfkzr.onion/) is one example.
1577  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Forex Trading is Profitable? on: December 12, 2018, 09:41:45 PM
It's about as profitable as any type of trading out there if you execute it correctly. For the most part, any sort of trading can be profitable if you're experienced enough in it and you have the know-how to correctly trade; having basic trading knowledge is much more important than finding what type of trading you should conduct for maximum profits in my experience. I personally trade cryptocurrency more than I do anything else, as I've historically gotten better returns from trading crypto than anything else I've ever traded, but everyone's experience is different.
1578  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Need vendors launching ico on: December 12, 2018, 09:38:28 PM
You could also try making a WTB thread in the main Services Section (click here), or try looking in the Services section for people that can help you start an ICO, like in this thread I just found. There's all sorts of people offering their services for ICOs in Services, like translations, and signature campaign management if you need it. Doesn't take a lot of time to find what you need.
1579  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Most Promising Cryptocurrencies to Invest in 2019 on: December 12, 2018, 01:41:04 AM
I'm personally buying BTC, ETH and TRX. Really isn't a bad time to buy into any crypto you believe in right now with prices as low as they are already; I'm also staggering my buy orders so I don't accumulate all my coins at one time in case the price drops on a coin sharply. Catching a falling knife can be extremely risky but also profitable.

Remember to never invest more than you can afford to lose, and be ready for anything. We could very well be in for a year or two of stagnant prices and a bear market, but we could also see prices spike right back up for all cryptocurrencies to the levels of late 2017.
1580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tell about Bitcoin gambling site and your opinion & experience on: December 12, 2018, 01:32:03 AM
new user here, interesting thread, feeing a bit overwhelmed by all the choice.
pretty mad forum really, so much talk of scams, doesn't really instill confidence.
have bet a lot in fiat, sportsbooks and exchanges especially. looking for reliable sportsbooks to begin with, any tips appreciated, especially backed up by good reasons. cheers

No worries! There's certainly plenty of scams out there, but it's relatively easy to see what books are a scam at a glance after some time on this forum, and there's plenty of information on this forum that can help you figure out whether a casino is legitimate or not.

Some sportsbooks I would start with include Nitrogensports.eu (click here), Cloudbet, and Bitcoinrush. These sites are all legitimate AFAIK. I've used both Cloudbet and Nitrogensports with no issues in the past, although I don't have much experience on Bitcoinrush.
