161  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your take on this? on: December 24, 2023, 09:54:02 PM
Well the current government administration promised to be more crypto-currency friendly and if this is actually how they wrote it then it's a good step. Nigeria is amongst the fastest growing crypto-currency interested countries in the world and I believe Nigeria is top in Africa so the ban placed was a real blow to Nigeria.
I think it's a positive step and would further boost the adoption level of Bitcoin in Nigeria. It's also good for Nigerian citizens as our local currency Naira is fast becoming of no value, crypto-currency can be an easy and even a safer way to save up.
If the current government is crypto-pro, it is good but if they are trying to be positive on crypto now just to solve their deflating Naira, it would be a problem. If Naira is steadily losing it's value, I think it would be better if they choose to solve the main root cause of the problem first.

Bitcoin is a good alternative especially corruption is the main source of problem. Bitcoin is running on a decentralized blockchain, which makes it hard for government official to hide their transactions. The transparency is I believe be a game changer on a country that has a really bad government "financially" but we know that it comes with cons like volatility, not cheap and slow transaction costs.

I'm pretty positive that the Nigerian government will make their move when the bull market is near or when there's a bull already. Nobody want to pass up that opportunity.
162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Too Expensive For Me. on: December 24, 2023, 06:00:36 PM
The value of Bitcoin has gradually reached great heights. It has become impossible for a new small investor like me to invest in Bitcoin. I am a very small investor. $2k wealth is mine. Well does Bitcoin provide any opportunity in future that I can invest.
If we are talking about the current price, It's rare for someone to have a 1 whole bitcoin for their first investment. This maybe a common mistake for newbies to think that they need to buy a whole bitcoin which is very expensive for their investment, this is a common reason why there are people who don't pursue their bitcoin investment. I know this because there are some people who reached me out because they are finding bitcoin alternatives that they can invest on, they thought that they can't buy a portion of bitcoin.
163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know when to ride and stop! on: December 24, 2023, 05:31:12 PM
Lucky for you that you get the correct way of executing this strategy. I somehow think this can burn your funds if you get unlucky to get caught on a single red. Well most of the strategies do but when you experience this kind of situation, I think it would be fun especially if your face this kind of opportunity and get a chance to do this strategy. Maybe, I'll try to give this strategy a chance if I encountered a scenario that I can apply this strategy.
164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does casino streamers have influence in your gambling life? on: December 24, 2023, 04:24:49 PM
Nope. There are influencers who are really entertaining on their gambling streams and can really influence you into gambling just like other normal games. To be honest, there was a time that I was tempted to play plinko which I don't really play but that certain influencer is really entertaining and I like to attempt beating his gain but yeah, I didn't really play because I resisted to do gamble at that time. I'm sure those influencers brings a lot of customers to the casino they are promoting and most of them are newbies who want to experience the same thrill and experience.
165  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You lose more when you over trade on: December 23, 2023, 11:14:50 PM
Trading that is done because we want to get rich quickly will not be good where we only think about profits without thinking about the risks of each trade, even when the market supports it, sometimes we still have to suffer, for me a loss of 1-5% and a profit of 5-10% is enough and You have to prepare mentally and capital
Trading will never be a quick rich scheme as the OP said, that's why we can't believe about the other influencers that show casing their luxurious life brought by trading, because they making trading as easy as it looks to attract a lot of investors that could avail their services but in the end its not that easy, even if they will provide signals with not enough experience and analysis a trader will never wins or gain from those signals, maybe if they let the influencer to handle their account and funds so that they can do the trade, but the thing is the share of profit they are asking is too much, so no matter what you cannot become rich quickly in trading, even if experienced traders for almost a lot of years still can't get rich in trading, yes they can gain money from it but becoming rich is very hard.
Yep, it is just like a marketing stunt for those influencers to avail their courses and services offered. If trading is easy and can possibly make you rich very easily, why isn't everyone are doing trades?

There are a lot of factors why our trades fail and one of those is the control of our emotions. Traders who lose on trades sometimes didn't get satisfied that's why they over trade. Doing over trades means that you can't control your emotion because you let your self make trades that aren't planned or studied which can result into more losses.
166  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Has anyone used this for journaling their crypto trades? on: December 23, 2023, 10:44:26 PM
I never written my trades on a journal. Maybe it is helpful for other traders like newbies seeing their progress and the step by step moves they did on each trades but I personally think it's not a good thing to me. I don't usually read journals, so it means that it is basically useless to me since I won't be able to use it plus I think it's a waste of time on my own growth and perspective. It's the knowledge I earn from my experiences makes me won in some of my trades. I've done so many trial and error that makes me familiarize with the scenarios and able to learn what to do to deal the trading scenarios I am experiencing.
167  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Anung estimate price ninyo pagdating ng bitcoin halving on: December 23, 2023, 10:20:26 PM
https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/bitcoin/bitcoin-halving
I think nasa around 40k if everything stays in place, depende sa magiging price ni bitcoin next year, possible din kasi mag ka heavy dump pa next year.

From my experience, walang sudden price movement once na mag halving na. I takes months before maramdaman natin yung pag taas ng bitcoin after halving. For now, mahirap masabi kung saang price point tayo babagsak kasi I think marami satin ay nag eexpect ng price dump, at if magka price dump naman ay near that price natin makikita yung possible price ni bitcoin sa halving.
168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is the #1 crypto currency in the world if it's slow and expensive? on: December 23, 2023, 09:38:34 PM
Yes, it's the first coin ever created, but it's slow and expensive (unless you're using the lightning network which most people and businesses don't).

How come Ripple which is the cheapest and one of the fastest ones - failed investors since 2018 and never reached back to the all time high of $3ish and those who believed in Ripple got 0 yields and a slap in the face, and yet this slow & expensive currency is the holy grail everyone is talking about?

You are comparing completely different assets. Bitcoin is decentralized that you have the full ownership of it and ripple is centralized. Also ripple is having drama for years now that is highly the reason why the value don't jump that high because the price movement is depending on what result does ripple has in their law suit case.

We are now having a congested mempool that's why transaction speed are extremely slow and I understand the frustration given that I also have a stuck transaction on bitcoin. It somehow made me use other coins like litecoin for some of my transaction given that it's decentralized and much more cheaper and fast than bitcoin.
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally I did it (I am happy to join). on: December 23, 2023, 09:14:20 PM
Congratulations on your first bitcoin purchase. It is not easy to invest so much in bitcoin amidst the nature of economic in the country. Procrastination have killed many peoples dream of investing in bitcoin and they up not buying at all and regretting why they didn’t buy early when the price was lower. With this amount you’ve invested, you don’t need to bother too much about investment again, this will give you a lot of profit at bull run. If you have more you can invest more but if it was me I will be contended for now with the investment done so far.

Yeah! others cannot get enough courage to make their first step into investing in bitcoins because they are scared to lose their money because of what they read on social media and some posts that are hostile against bitcoins. Most likely they were influenced by those others who have no money to invest to begin with and they are just talking negatively about bitcoins. that's why when it comes to this, you need to take your time do your own research, and step out there to do and get your first bitcoins.
Most of the new people still have a large level of anxiety and indeed I agree with what you said because new people sometimes prefer to pay attention and see some speculations made by influencers or those who have been in crypto for longer than taking their own actions and taking action for their first steps so in this case there really needs to be appreciation for anyone who does not talk too much when they are sure they are directly in bitcoin with the provision of learning and research done before.

New people should indeed do brave things for the first step regardless of the price which has now shown an increase when compared to the previous few months but this should still be done because waiting for the decline to occur again I don't think it's the right thing to do at this time because surely it takes longer.
Even if the choice is good, I think it will waste time because what they learn in the end is only theory without daring to jump directly as a form of action from what should have been done from the start.
I guess it's normal for everyone given that they don't have the experience of diving into bitcoin and just only rely on people opinions and speculations. Investing into crypto needs some money and the risk of losing that money is the cause of their anxiety. Though, it can be reduced with a sufficient knowledge about bitcoin and how it performed in the past years.

My advice to newbie is not to listen to those influencers first, I believe that gaining the knowledge by yourself by doing a research is the one that will make you confident enough to make the first move into investing. I can't deny that there's a good influencers out there but from what I am seeing, I think that majority of the influencers I see is just hyping, paid or has no care about there followers. In fact, some of them are just in the crypto space last bull market which makes it insane.
170  Local / Pilipinas / Re: When do you think is the next bull run will start, and why? on: December 22, 2023, 06:42:19 PM
Feel ko next year pa ito mangyayari, currently the market crash na which is trying to testing the support and resistance nito feel ko nga itong 41k is bababa na naman sa mga 35-36k hula ko lang naman tapos tsaka na magkakasunduan ng mga naiwang mga trades at tsaka na ito lilipad, feel ko this christmas is mag sideways galawan na nitong mga ito tapos tamang abang na naman ng market pump feel ko nga mag red ulit pag March like we experience before. Ika nga Invest when people fear and Take profit when they get FOMO.

This is why maaari pa natin makita ang corrections along the way and yes we might see more panic and fomo as we are aiming for a bigger trend.

Sobrang daming speculations ngayon sa market if bull market na ba and if mag tutuloy tuloy ang price action natin na currently is uptrend.

Personally di nako kinakabahan if saan pupunta ang bitcoin, if mag bull market na ba or bull trap. I had accumulated some bitcoin and satisfied nako sa amount nayun, if there's a chance to buy more at lower prices, definitely mag accumulate pako. Position yourself guys, I believe na profit potential yung pwede mawala satin pero I don't think na there will be a loss if you accumulated now even if the price is high, as long as you can hold ng matagal, profit padin yan.
171  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [Security] Additional Feature 2FA Implemented. on: December 22, 2023, 06:10:02 PM

No system is safe. If gusto talaga hacking ng hacker yung account mo is madaming method diyan na pwede nila gamitin para mahack yung account mo. One method is stated by theymos sa OP. There's many more and usually mga magagaling lang yung makakaexecute ng maayos. One good thing about 2FA is ma sscrubout niyan yung mga hackers na hindi pa masyadong magaling or easy to say na nabawasan yung risk by implementing 2FA sa iyong account.

Kakakita ko lang nito ngayong bagong update and iaapply ko na agad siya sa settings ko for good.
172  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You lose more when you over trade on: December 22, 2023, 05:45:14 PM
Most trader expecially newbies think crypto is a get rich quick scheme, and they feel very excited and motivated to enter the market more believing that it's going to make them rich by over trading, they don't know that quality beats quantity every day.

They just can't wait for the market to come to them, they always chase the market and when they finally blown their account, they start saying trading is a scam or it's gambling, no bro, trading Is more about knowing the craft and be disciplined enough to wait till the market comes to you (your strength).
The most funny aspect is that they think that the more they trade, the more money they make. Trading is not like that, you calculate your loss first before your profit

Me I dont trade if the market doesn't come to me, if I don't sees the right setup I don't trade at all, even if it takes a month without trading, it's better for me to wait and be profitable than to lose my capital, stay discipline and be profitable.
op I agree with you. Because there are still many traders who think that they will become overnight millionaires by trading in a few days, it is completely wrong. When we trade we must plan to move slowly through the trade. But we should never trade with the attitude that we will become a millionaire by trading in a month. Patience is very important in trading. We all have to have a long-term plan while trading
Full of confidence without the right experience. It's not just it happens on crypto but on different market as well, you can also compare it to first timers who has a really great expectation about their first business. There are so many motivators in the internet but those people really survive in their niche facing a lot of losses along their way on being profitable.

Those who are aiming for quick rich schemes are the one who are probably losing their money. Confidence is important but it is much more effective if the confidence is paired with knowledge and experience.
173  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will you use platforms offering AI help for crypto trading in 2024? on: December 22, 2023, 05:11:08 PM
Hi guys! Happy holidays! Just wanted to know if you're planning on using AI bots and such technologies to boost your crypto profits in 2024. And now that I'm talking about this, I'm curious if you've already started to use AI for taking trades.
Why not? If it's proven to be profitable and sustainable, risking using AI might be worth it. Remember that people are using bots before AI, and I believe that there are still traders who are using bots in their day to day trades.

If the AI turns out to be a very intelligent one that are processing it's output just like we humans are (technical analysis and fundamentals), I'm pretty sure that it will overtake us humans on trading. The downside I'm seeing is if someone had bypass the security of the AI and make all the users liquidated on purpose for the benefit of the hacker. We have a long way about utilizing the full potentials of AI but remember that the development today are much faster than before.
174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sites and current transactions fee on: December 22, 2023, 01:50:35 PM
Hopefully all is well with bitcoin and fees go more lower so that there will be no huge problem to occur if we want to transact bitcoin on any transactions they want to spend their bitcoins. But for sure gamblers can get used to it if this problem will continue to happen since we still have cheap alternatives available in the market.

In my opinion, the cost issue will still be a problem for bitcoin forever, because bitcoin should no longer be suitable for use as a means of payment because the very high transaction costs make it not good enough for micro payments or other payments, I prefer bitcoin as my investment asset which is not moving so I just keep it until it's expensive in the future, so I don't use it for gambling or paying for things with bitcoin.

I think anyone can still use other friendly crypto alternatives with cheaper transaction costs to gamble or pay for something on the internet, so in my opinion, bitcoin gamblers who are currently still active in using bitcoin, I consider them to be rich people because of the high value of bitcoin. the more expensive it is, they still use it to gamble and have fun instead of using it as an investment asset for the future.
I agree, I had accepted the reality that doing small transaction using btc is not efficient or practical if you have other options like altcoins. I'm using altcoins for my gambling activities since it's a lot faster and cheaper, though it is still good if there's still a deposit option for bitcoin because I'm sure there are high rollers that are using bitcoin for there gambling activities.

At the end of the day, it will be our decision if how we will use our precious bitcoins. The different views and opinion about the current status of bitcoin will give us ideas if how we will use it.
175  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you want to see in casino reviews? on: December 22, 2023, 11:38:19 AM
What we all want is honest casino reviews with somehow proof like deposit slips going to the casino that is being reviewed, at least we all have an assurance that the review is real.

Casino review are useful if it's done right especially if it answer the most common asked question like withdrawal time, problems encountered and KYC requirement of course. A short but elaborate review is also helpful with a website that is not flooded with advertisement. I know that casino review sites isn't that lucrative but doing fake reviews will result in losing its integrity and end up being dead.

Honest review, quality content and a clean website are the casino review website characteristic that I personally think a good one that I will regularly visit.
176  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Help , Sobrang taas ng fee Pano mag send ng mas mababa and fees? on: December 22, 2023, 11:00:21 AM

Hindi rin ako ok sa USDT since controlled siya eh at mataas din yung fee if nasa ETH network yung USDT, I'll still prefer BTC as a payment. Naka depende talaga sa manager kung pano nila ididistribute yung campaign participants payment, may kanya kanyang efforts din sila like sa past signature campaign ko, na stuck yung bitcoin transaction for payment kaya nag bigay siya ng option for LTC payment which is much faster and cheaper than bitcoin right now. Naka depende talaga sa manager if may consideration sila.

Dapat naka ready yung transaction mo one minute bago mareset ang timer nila [e.g. 10:59], tapos as soon as na nag reset, isubmit mo agad.
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time for a transaction to confirm, nowadays on: December 22, 2023, 10:34:17 AM
Does the widespread of ordinals has anything to do with current transactions speeds? As far as I know yes, but correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not really sure to be honest. It's just that ordinals are being hyped right now and that is the reason why we have transactions that are stuck.

I have a bitcoin transaction currently that are stuck and it's quite frustrating since I the last time I experienced it was a very long time ago where it will take days/weeks to arrive on my wallet.

I'm using an accelerator since I'm using it before and I believe that it can help internally.
178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin will bring you hope and gambling will leave you destitute. on: December 22, 2023, 10:11:36 AM
After making a big mistake, there's always a regret in it. Even you are not the person in debt, there would still be realization. What you elder brother makes it on gambling and win millions racks, would we still have the same idea about investing on bitcoin where the return is far from millions possible earning on gambling.  Maybe your elder brother don't know about bitcoin and only knows about making big money on gambling.

What I am saying is the different point of views from each of us individual. Majority of us like/want to invest on bitcoin because we believe that it is profitable. The risks evaluation is also different from person to person, personally I think that investing on bitcoin has a less risks than playing gambling for profits. It's the point of view and understanding of what we are doing.

At the end of the day, we can't turn back time and make your elder brother understand that it's much more possible for him to profit by investing on bitcoin. The only thing he can do now is to move forward and pay the gambling debt he have.
