I have a few comments about marketing issue.

1. Do not forget our root in equality, solidarity and grassroots contribution.

2. The core team is not community's centralized marketing powerhouse. We are unlikely to do much marketing except some very important ones at our discreation. In general don't expect the core team being  your representative.

3. The majority of NEM belongs to stakeholders and community. If you have a brilliant marketing idea, persuade the community. Given how NEM allocation is very equal, you don't need to persuade any whale at all but the agreement of the community.

4. Let's practice (3) with the idea of hiring a professional marketing manager. If you think it is the best for NEM, persuade the community and raise a fund to do so. If the communty thinks that is a good idea and spend 10% of their stake to support it you will have no problem of hiring a world class marketer.

Non-core "private" transaction mode is possible. It is probably not wise to have anything that risk NEM getting banned by some governments in the core protocol.

Read NEM timeline tab to see what to expect on the product launch. What are not written there, the core dev. can't answer here neither.

It is well known but read Community distribution tab to see how NEM inital fundraising went and what kind of stakeholder population we have.

Read Technical update to see big milestone technical update. The first development plan were authored by Jaguar and contributed by all core team. It was published on 2/9/2013 and we brainstormed for about 3-4 weeks before that. That's when you can say NEM started.

Read organization tab and also "letter of invitation" to know what kind of people we have.

4. The information in NEM summary should be self-sustained. The development team is under no obligation to provide extra information such as an exact release date of the software, team member personal information etc.

Could you use the proper form ?

1. What is your post in the registration thread (post the link) ?

2. Proof of owning the sending address such as a signed message from the sending address

3. new account wants to be changed to (if left blank the requester account will be default new account)

4. 0.01 btc fee transaction ID

Also it is not for free anymore since it does take times from a developer to check hash id, document work etc.

@pat please check that two sending addresses are the same.

I like Bill Hicks. We can join force and do some meaningful projects. General marketing probably won't help much.

We do have some decent logos from loitran, Gvan, etc. not world class but usable I think. Take a look at 2 packages of logo in the NEM summary.

Great Makoto. We will need something more professional looking than the example he sent me though. I attached the Blackcoin handout here as an example.

We need all good programmers (there will be a plenty of future opportunities). But it might be awkward to put programmers to do works of designers and vice versa.

We do have some dev. shares in promotion category to all helpers. So finger crossed. For private donation, I certainly support it and in fact there is a very convenient way for all donors to do so. I guess most NEM stakeholders who support the cause of NEM-Nxt liaison also request a NEMstake token, so if you support Kodtycoon you could send 1/10 of the token directly to him.  

Funding is coming. We should pay a bit more than the minimum though.

That is for blackcoin twenty pages + something. We don't need to go that long 4 pages + 1 cover is fine but should include ALL important information in NEM summary. Community distribution should be mentioned. 1 person/ 1 share is kind of unique and a very board base of stakeholders should be mentioned too. Read the letter to waiting list. Some ideas there should be included: vision, commitment, people etc. doesn't need to go into too much technical details except mentioning new innovations. In short, read all information in NEM summary and transform it into a coherent story with an attractive design.

It is not an easy job so bounty could be up to 1btc (or 1 dev. stake if choose that way). I probably need to see a draft before agree on a person taking the bounty, or at least what kind of works have been done by the bounty hunter. Feel free to chat with me if you want more story.  

You can buy as many as you want but a cap of 2 million NEM (2 tokens) will be put on each account converting back to NEM. Explanation: if one account buys 40 NEMstake tokens then this amount has to be broken in to 20 separate accounts during the conversion process in both sending tokens and receiving NEM back. This will increase the conversion cost and management cost and hopefully put a dampener in the desire to have a lot of NEMtoken.
