16741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SolidCoin USD price hits new high on: February 17, 2012, 12:05:49 PM
When the "founder" of an alternative currency has to tout (toot) his own horn, I'd say that its all PUMP and all his DUMP.  Cheesy

I think you've been saying the same thing since September last year, after you dumped 30000 SC for 2 bitcoins or something.

Okay tell me what have i touted and what have I "founded"? I'm not touting anything nor am I founder of any bullshit currency.

Not seeing the relationship you're trying to make oh so desperately to take the attention off of yourself.  Cheesy

16743  Economy / Speculation / Re: 94% correction? [42% so far] on: February 16, 2012, 05:53:10 AM
I'm starting to think what will ultimately destroy bitcoin is the concentration of coins from the early days.

Or... alternatively, there will be an uber crash which eventually will lead to stablization.

IF that is the case, there should be diminishing volatility as coin distribution involves market movements instead of hoarding...

Maybe.

This is why the distribution process of Litecoin was done in a fairer manner. But then again there are arguments for and against litecoin.

16744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bruce Wagner speaks about TradeHill on: February 16, 2012, 05:33:42 AM
I agree with the concept Bruce stated but I don't agree with the self promoted commercial in his own statement. It just makes him look even more ridiculous.

16746  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do YOU want RealSolid to be lead developer( of solidcoin)? on: February 16, 2012, 05:25:00 AM
It doesnt matter. Just dont give SC and its developer any more attention.
16747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: artforz and coblee gpu mining litecoin since the start? on: February 16, 2012, 05:23:35 AM
You do know change is part of improving something right?

The biggest change that you could easily do to massively improve Solidcoin would be for you to never surface publicly again.

Want to know my secret for killing Solidcoin with 9 out of 10 people or places that look at it seriously? I simply have them look at the Solidcoin 2 Genesis Block and read for themselves the garbage you put in there.

It speaks volumes on your maturity level and state of mind.

16748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [Suggestion] Litecoin Forum on: February 13, 2012, 12:33:02 AM
I just thought it would be a good idea for litecoin to have its own forum for discussion, not to take away the idea that discussing litecoin here is still worthwhile.

Perhaps someone would take on the task of hosting a litecoin forum. I'd do it but I'm too busy to take on such a task.

Like I said, just a suggestion.
16749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin 51% attacked? on: December 19, 2011, 04:08:11 AM
Hmm interesting thread.
16750  Economy / Speculation / Re: How high will the price be today? on: September 12, 2011, 12:14:52 AM
will be down to 5.10 by the end of the day

Cant wait.
16751  Economy / Speculation / Re: How high will the price be today? on: September 11, 2011, 10:33:41 PM
Maybe the price will go to $0.01 then skyrocket to $100,000. Grin

I dunno.  With the average block shorter than 225mh/s can get any work in, it's going to exclude a lot of smaller machines.

I have another card on the way, even then i think I'll stll be at 50/50 reject.

(unless my experience was just a bug)

I did a test run with 2950Mhahs/s and I had 5 accepted / 80 rejected on average, even with CGMiner Grin
But with low difficulty, it's normal I think.

Someone just create 20,000 blocks in less than an hour. The first 20,000 took over 48 hours.

Difficulty is 0.06. Exploit has not been fixed.

At this rate the chain may as well restart because if an exchange opens 1 person will have 95% of the coins which makes no sense.

That would be me !
Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

LOL you just made this chain pointless. Restart?
16753  Economy / Speculation / Re: How high will the price be today? on: September 11, 2011, 09:56:41 PM
$7 could go higher but likely will rebound.

16755  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why are some vouching for <1 USD BTC? on: September 11, 2011, 09:19:23 PM
A: Many of them are probably early adapters adopters who sold out around it.

Yep, sucks a bit when you had like 10 or 20k, sold out at 0.7 or so and now see it at 6~7 or even 30 as in June, doesn't it?! Sounds like you'd been giving free money out of the window.
Know the feeling! Sold about 2k back on January for 1 USD, really sucks to look at their rate now. But, hey! That's life!
Yet for some it sounds like too much to bear and stick around, some probably even "BTC-less", spreading FUD and trying to bring it down...  Tongue

Fixed for you. I wonder what an early ADAPTER is.
16756  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: September 11, 2011, 08:18:49 PM
I concur it would be interesting to see what results that would output.

Anyways, let's wait on DoubleC and see if he is interested. He could provide the pool site if he wanted as well as the exchange.
16757  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: September 11, 2011, 07:06:10 PM
Actually, a pool would be vastly more needed now than an exchange.

Geist Geld, by virtue of fast blocks, favors significant centralization, and pools naturally provide a way to arrange a limited, competitive form of centralization.

Also, it would be interesting to see whether such fast blocks cause "quirkiness" in pool software operation.

P.S.:
Geist Geld isn't limited to experiments with block rate.

It has enabled nonstandard transactions, already supports Escrow (multisign transactions) and is likely to support message signing pretty soon.

If you want people to mine it, there needs to be an exchange also.

What he mean to say is he won't mine it unless he can exchange it somewhere. Profit anyone?

Sounds like a plan!

LOLCUST: Bitcoin Express has enough GH/s to be a pool himself. Problem solved!
16758  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crash to $2 imminent. Willing to bet. on: September 11, 2011, 06:03:25 PM
Would be nice to see prices at $1 or so.

$2 is probably a bit high.

maybe it will happen today!
16759  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crash to $2 imminent. Willing to bet. on: September 11, 2011, 05:50:01 PM
If you really want to make this bet head over to http://Moonco.in and make it official.

So what you guys gonna do?
