1681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you think bitcoin will be wiped out? on: September 27, 2017, 08:39:57 AM
I really wonder how and what will happen if bitcoin will be wiped out. What will happen to cryptocurrency, bitcoiners, and other altcoins if bitcoin is gone...??  Huh

surely bitcoin will someday be "wiped out" just like any other older technology was wiped out. for example like how old forms of currency is wiped out now. you don't go to a store and offer then "rice" in return for groceries for example Cheesy
that no longer exists. and bitcoin will no longer exist in many years in the future when it is replaced by something better by inventors of 100 years from now!
1682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ripple Bounce Again? on: September 24, 2017, 10:55:03 AM
Ripple bounced from it first minimum level so many times as it is seen in the graph below. Do you think it will bounce again?

[i mg]https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/800/1*ypckgk0eHNvs564sFOEgmw.jpeg[/img]

if you move this chart to the left side a couple of times, you will see that this has happened multiple times already. in other words the chart is already answering your question. it is telling you that YES it will happen again because Ripple like many other coins is a pump and dump and when the dumping stops the next accumulation phase starts which will eventually lead to another pump. each time the death is longer and deeper.
1683  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think China has halted the pace of bitcoin reaching new high?? on: September 24, 2017, 10:47:22 AM
China, China, China! and more China. everywhere i look i see China these days.

some people put too much faith in China and the funny thing is that you all forget about China and ignore the issues over there as soon as price started to move up again.
just like any other time before this that you forgot!

what China is doing has been an ongoing thing for a very long time. but since bitcoin has been rising most of that time, you all turned your backs on it but now that FUD is putting the same ongoing thing under magnifying glass you all talk about it nonstop.
1684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unexpected transaction on: September 24, 2017, 10:41:01 AM
my guess would be that this transaction is a payment of some sort that you forgot about. some kind of service (faucet, micorjob,...) that you signed up with your bitcoin address and forgot about.

i can't be sure about this being a spam. because the amounts are not the same. otherwise they would all be the same payment amount. and the fee is very large for this type of spam. 151.583 sat/B is not what they usually choose, specially now that 10 s/B is more than enough.
1685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: official Indian Crypto Currency on: September 22, 2017, 09:43:20 AM
What are your thoughts on an Indian fiat cryptocurrency?
Do you think that it could replace Bitcoin in India?

first of all any coin that is created by the government is considered heavily centralized and will not even be a valid competition for bitcoin since bitcoin is decentralized and that is why it is being widely adopted.

secondly India has recently made bitcoin legal and for about 2 years Indian has been very interested in bitcoin and have been accumulating. they are already big "share-holders" so to speak. they won't just give up bitcoin for anything else.
1686  Economy / Speculation / Re: So if Bitcoin goes to $1m or $10m or $100m a coin.... on: September 22, 2017, 09:36:11 AM
the question is not "if" it is "when".
and also when bitcoin reached a high price you should wonder if they can afford entering to "own huge parts of it" as you put it. by then bitcoin will be distributed well among the people and those early adopters with strong hands will have a good steak.

when we are not yet at $1 mil you can afford to be 1 in a million not when it was so expensive in the future.
1687  Economy / Speculation / Re: WILL BITCOIN FALL DOWN IN VALUE? on: September 22, 2017, 09:26:01 AM
there is no need to shout with your all caps letters!

if you have doubts and scared of investing in bitcoin now at this price then don't! nobody is forcing you to invest now. you can wait and see what happens, if price went lower and reached a bottom then buy. if it didn't and recovered fast and went back up then be quick about it and buy before it is too late.

nobody can predict it for you even if you shout Smiley

ps. remember not to listen to the "numbers" people blurt out. they are meaningless when they randomly say a number as bottom and tell you to wait until then.
1688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: government and bitcoins banning on: September 22, 2017, 09:17:10 AM
already china has banned bitcoins
did they already do it Cheesy
when? maybe in an alternate universe they did it and we didn't have a window to see over there but you had.

Quote
is there any chance that other countries may ban bitcoins?Huh
that would be a 180 degree change since other countries have already adopted bitcoin and made it legal even.
1689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Cash? on: September 21, 2017, 09:23:59 AM
one thing i didn't understand from this article was, how do they plan on solving the issue with "Difficulty Bomb" the article just mentions it but never says what Ethereum cash is going to do about it.
it existed from early days and there is no way around it without significant amount of change to the whole system and it will make mining impossible.

in any case it is interesting to see that "consensus" means nothing with ethereum. Cheesy
1690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does China hate Bitcoin? on: September 21, 2017, 09:13:30 AM
since when are we focusing all our attentions to one country in the whole world?
and since when did we centralize bitcoin to only one country and stood around watching what they say or do to decide the fate of the decentralized and global currency that people created and control?

... oh right, since the bitcoin rally stopped and we wanted a drop to make profit and buy back cheaper coins!!!
1691  Economy / Speculation / Re: What price you expect bitcoin by 30 September? on: September 21, 2017, 09:01:53 AM
between $3800 and $4100

this will be followed by a long period. there will be lots of drama but all of it is already priced in, there will be more desperate newbies who will try to play at the big boys game and try to go against the market makers.
there may be a drop because of SegWit2x but won't be big because the price is already under all the pressure it can get under.

and when all that is done by the end of the year price will finally get back on track and the new year will be started like last year with a big rally and setting new ATH.
1692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Eliminating China on: September 21, 2017, 08:56:59 AM
you can not eliminate anyone, no more than the Chinese government can truly ban bitcoin nor will they.

bitcoin is decentralized and everyone is free to use it without restrictions. all the drama and regulations and the rules and the restrictions will always be on "buying and selling" bitcoin because fiat will be involved in that and with fiat comes all the issues.
1693  Economy / Economics / Re: The Chinese propaganda on: September 20, 2017, 10:05:52 AM
Don't you think if the news from China had come earlier like 5 years ago, it would have crashed the emergence of cryptos. I think that was the news that saw bitcoin heading downwards.
Whats your view?

my "view" is that you need to do a quick google search to find your answers Smiley

the "China news" aka FUD has been around for a very long time. i can not remember anything from 5 years ago although there may be more but i can remember 1 from 4 years ago where the media was filled with the news that China banned bitcoin and not only nothing happened but also bitcoin price went up to the first ATH of that time!

you see, people usually forget that they are talking about bitcoin which is decentralized and does not belong to a country or a government or any other entity like that. none of them can do anything to bitcoin other than causing temporary swings in the price.
1694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vitalik Buterin networth $100 Million? on: September 20, 2017, 09:53:52 AM
that's exactly what happens when you premine a very large amount of the coin and then put your pumping team and pay poloniex to help pump the coin up.
you won't have any money issues either with the support of the banks and the dumps you make on the market and the ETC that you created and dumped for "free money out of thin air".
1695  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin without China on: September 20, 2017, 09:42:16 AM
China has always been more like an illusion that anything real. they were a part of the market, that is undeniable but it was never big. we saw clearly that their volume was 90% fake. there is no real adoption there either! compared to other countries where there are actual usage for bitcoin so it is not just for trading.

China is more like Boogeyman. everyone is afraid of it but when you turn the lights on you see nobody there.
1696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: End of Dragon Era? on: September 20, 2017, 09:35:23 AM
So,would it be correct to term this as end of dragon era in bitcoin?

no, because the "dragon" had never had any era in bitcoin for it to end. the price, the volume (real vol not fake vol), the number of good exchanges, number of real businesses adopting bitcoin, number of merchants, people investing in bitcoin,.... are a lot more in other countries compared to China.

the only thing that has ever been big in China was mining farms and mining manufacturers. and nothing about these two has changed yet.
1697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Mining Farm in China be Closed? on: September 20, 2017, 09:29:59 AM
Pictures of “Technical Preplan on Blocking Bitcoin overseas Transaction” were circulated in Wechat group and later posted on weibo around 18pm 16 September.
it is an impossible thing to do. i suggest posting a couple of links about the basic definition of a peer to peer sharing on your WeChat group.

what you said here is like saying "...block sharing stuff via torrent".

Quote
The document describes the preplan of blocking bitcoin exchanges and Bitcoin blockchain data-syncing, along with a list of overseas exchanges.
blocking services (a website really) is not the same as blocking bitcoin (a decentralized peer to peer system).

Quote
The news caused panic sell, a daily low of 16,661 was observed on OKCoin around that time. Chinese Bitcoin community is vulnerable after the “exchange ban”.
Chinese exchanges are about to close in a couple of days, people have already withdrawn their money and stopped trading there. the orderbooks as a result are thin, a small dump means a great change in price.

by the way, Chinese price is already about $1000 below USD market price a little drop doesn't make any difference!

Could things get worse like shutting down mining pool in China?
no, because pools are not located in China, pools are servers that are in fact located in multiple places which people connect to.
1698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Oh Shit! - China bans Bitcoin yet again. This time for real. on: September 19, 2017, 09:48:19 AM
How many times are stupid people going to care and fall for the same story?

haha, i hope there will be more times they fall for the same story! and bigger even in the future. $1000 is not a joke. we got bitcoin $1000+ under-price because of these "stupid people". without them you would have been forced to buy bitcoin at a much higher price this month but they were kind enough to give you a great discount.

i'm just thankful for their existence. and fearful of their extinction which is inevitable.
1699  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin reach 5000 USD or its a Fake Bull Run then go lower low. Sept 2017 on: September 19, 2017, 09:41:19 AM
it doesn't have to be one or the other! there are actually a lot of other options that are more possible that what you have in mind.

a bigger possibility is that it may be just a slow rise again. like before where price goes up little by little over a longer time than just jump $1000 at a time. or perhaps a more of a stable phase is on the way where bitcoin price stays at this current level.
1700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin is distributed rightly among generations? on: September 19, 2017, 09:32:17 AM
let me put it this way for you:
what are you looking for in bitcoin?
more profit on your fiat? or using a decentralized currency and reach financial freedom?

what you asked is the first one "more profit on your fiat" to that i say, you have to suck it up. those people in 2008 and early days that got bitcoin for free are early adopters who believe in bitcoin's future and you didn't.

if it is the second one (although your comments say otherwise) then your main question becomes meaningless! if you want to benefit from using bitcoin then its price wouldn't matter at all.

I am a holder for pension or early retirment from (fiat/crypto) work in 10-20 years time - for me and my brother.

then you are a long term investor looking for the profit.
in that case as i said you (and other new people like you. me included) we have to suck it up. we obviously have lost a big chunk of the rise so far but it is nowhere near the end of the rise.

the same way we are now looking at $1000 (9 months ago) price with regret, others will do the same at the current price of nearly $4000 with regret in 9 months in the future.
