Great job igehhh. This time around you decided to span to top 20 users instead of top 15 you usually do. But in the post it is actually top 30 that you did. This shows that the Nigerian community is growing in a faster pace. Before now we struggle to have 10 active posters in the Nigerian thread but today we are upto 30. Keep up the good work and we will continue to do our best. The overall statistics for August is encouraging.

That's what I said above, which is currently talking about needs, not the right choice?
It is true that Aubameyang was once part of the Premier League, but the process of getting back there and adapting quickly was not easy.
Many players have difficulty developing in the English league, even though they used to play in England, because there are several factors that make the English league different.
and I think?
1. Speed
2. Play fast and hard
3. Skills (exception)
I don't think every player can be judged the same in this regard even though there are already several players who have proved it. Because it's possible that players like Aubameyang get adapted to the Premier League sooner than some other players who have returned to the Premier League again. Because everyone has a different way of adapting when they have to return to the Premier League after being in another league.
English Premier league has  changed from what it used to be. It is more of speed and fast football as we see. It was because Manchester United were not playing upto the expected speed they we losing. Their speed is OK now and it is hard for them to lose. Another thing is strength.
Aubameyang can fit to Epl but I am not sure he can fit to Tuchel style. If Lukaku could not fit into Tuchel style, Aubameyang may struggle to fit into the team.
1705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 03, 2022, 06:43:07 PM
The way this English Premier league is going I do not seem to understand it anymore. There is no big team and there is no small team again. Anyteam can win, anyteam can lose and anyteam can draw. Chelsea almost drew their match if not for controversial officiating that cost Westham the match.
I am beginning to lose confidence in England officially, even in the presence of var they keep making expensive mistakes.
It was a good fight by Aston Villa, a good game for Haaland and not a good game for Manchester City but a good one for Gerald.
1706  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks are changing ..... Bitcoin should wake up and innovate more! on: September 03, 2022, 06:22:48 PM

It was never been the primary objective on the first place on competing against banks. This should be bare up on mind.

This is what many people don't understand. Even Satoshi the creator of bitcoin stated it clearly in bitcoin white paper that bitcoin is an alternative currency that will give people liberty to control their finance. He didn't state that bitcoin will kill fiat or will replace bank. Bitcoin is not in war with banks and not in any competition for innovation.

What kind of innovation does OP what for bitcoin. Is it to move from PoW to PoS?
1707  Economy / Economics / Re: Working hours | How many are too many? on: September 03, 2022, 06:06:02 PM
In my country - Nigeria, most public sector works for 7 hours to 9 hours per day, making it 35hrs to 45hrs per week. My country public sector works for 5days in a week. From Mondays to Fridays, the idea of 4 days is not in my country. Then some private sectors work for 6days and some work on Sundays making it 7days.  Some private workers work for 10 to 12 hrs a day. While some works on shift, it depends on what you like.

But someone I worked with believes in working at your own pace. Infact he recommends we work from home and give us task to accomplish within a period of time. I advice we learn to work smart and get good skills so that we could chose or reject jobs that come our ways.
Sometimes when I look at this hours spent on work and the pay. I just wish one could work from home. Some people usually get separated from there families or loved ones for close to six months or more just for work. But just like u said one should have is other means that can sustain him so that he might reject works that they feel is too demanding
Many companies are trying very much to reduce the circumstances that will bring people to work physically. The effects of Covid-19 pendamic has thought the world some lessons. There is this comfort that comes when you work from home. The risk of accidents while going to or coming from work will not be there anymore. The transportation allowance and feeding allowance would be cancelled and converted to data bundles allowance. Time will come when the only people to go work are people whonare required to work with their hands physically.
1708  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto business isn't for everyone on: September 02, 2022, 10:43:00 PM

👉👉is greedy: Some people want it to be bullish always. They never learn to take profit. They keep waiting for their token to do more than ×100 but in most cases this turn around and go against them making them to lose all profit and part of their investment because they end up selling in panic.

Greed is not bad in the cryptocurrency industry, even in the personal life greed is not bad. It depends on how you perceive the greed or how the greediness affects another person.
If I am giving 3 options to chose and the three are; 0.5btc, 1btc and 100btc. Do you think I will go for anything other than 100btc? Will you say I am greedy.

Greediness in crypto is not bad, but observe the rules. "Be fearful when others are greedy, and be greedy when others are fearful "

👉👉is impatient: They invested waiting to make money within days/months forgetting it may sometimes take years to make good profit. Most end up selling their token in little deep.

Patients doesn't always work in the one way you defined it. It depends on the coin you are holding. If you hold a shit coin, sell off as others are selling. It could dump in your hand and never return forever.  So, be guided.

I deliberately had to chip these in, so that we can know that there are more than one meaning to every statement.

<snip>

Yet, there are people that cannot control their money or wealth, they feel that they are careless or they have other pressing issues to deal with. They prefer to dump their money in the bank and they don't care if it depreciates or not, since they can see it anytime they need it. People that will value this post are people that are ready to try new things or people who are ready to handle their money by themselves and takes responsibility of it even if they have to lose it.
I don't blame the. Uch because before bitcoin came, almost everything around us was centralized, even the bitcoin has been mutilated and some version of it centralized.
People do really get stick on those things which they have been using through ages and trusted up government and other centralized platforms on the services that it do offers and give into its clients/users.

Even myself do still store up money on banks yet even though we are dealing with crypto which is totally opposing centralization but cant really be that denied that we are still converting those coins into fiat later on.Am i right?
Use things according into your needs.Make out some research if what are the thing you are intend to do so.

That is one of the characteristics of human. Human will stick to what he knows, what he trusts and what has been working for him. The tendency to introduce new things to an already existing system is one of the reason for conflicts and wars among humans. Even if we got cheated by the system, but provided that we understand how the system is formed we will like to remain in it. Which is a clear description of the adage "The devil you know is better than the Angel you don't know". So, I don't blame most people who are comfortable and doesn't want to hear about Bitcoin.

For your question, I still use fiat for day to day transactions but I don't save in fiat because I already know that it's not worth it. The value of your money goes down when you save in fiat.
1711  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks are changing ..... Bitcoin should wake up and innovate more! on: September 02, 2022, 09:44:23 PM
I don't see any connection, much less threat, here. Bitcoin wasn't invented to disrupt the brick and mortar banking model. So whether the banks totally abandon their branches or not, it doesn't matter to Bitcoin. It does not in any way diminish Bitcoin's relevance and value.

Likewise myself. I don't truly see the connection between bitcoin and traditional banks. They are not related in ownership, they are not related in manner of operations and they are not related in the method of storing value. They are also not in competition of any kind. Even if the government liase with the banks for CBDC, it is not also in competition with bitcoin.  CBDC can compete with stable coins like USDT and not BTC. Banks can compete with exchanges and not bitcoin. In all bitcoin is not threatened.
Whatever the bank I doing doesn't translate that they are no longer centralized. Their innovations are for smooth running of their business and not for the betterment of the common man.
1712  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: September 02, 2022, 09:32:55 PM
I don't support the actions of those Nigerians who when to Dubia and took Hooliganism to great heights amongst them selves. It's totally unwelcome and unnecessary, but I also believe this is all about the countries reputation. Nigeria is a country already having bad reputation especially in terms of terrorism. If tables turns and it's was another country in the western world that did what those Nigerian did I believe the law would walk on those who carried out the act.

Senior man, honestly I shock as one of my guy wey dey enter Dubia come back dey yarn me wetin dey happen for there. Baba, I was totally dumbfounded. The thing wey my guy tell me just be like the level of cultism wey bin dey Port Harcourt like 5 to 10yrs ago when men no sabi anything. My guy been dey gist me how dem dey kill person, dey chant cultism publicly for another man country. Sotey e tell me about their point 1 wey dem kill, we get wife and children for house and wey start building project. But the whole story no clear me first, like if I leave Naija now I go dey play cultism for another country,  shebi I no know wetin carry me commot ni?

Make dem do anything to protect the reputation of their country make Naija boys no hijack their fine country. Shebi we like this our own country like this?

Some people want having a decentralized because they went no one controls heir money at the same time is they can handle all the thing with their wallet like no additional fees but the thing is we have the seed phrase needed to make sure safe before we called those as our own Bitcoin unlike on bank because of being centralized they can easily manage the account but the user does not have a control at the full potential itself.also there's a lot of process needed to make your money get wt the same time.

Yet, there are people that cannot control their money or wealth, they feel that they are careless or they have other pressing issues to deal with. They prefer to dump their money in the bank and they don't care if it depreciates or not, since they can see it anytime they need it. What a sad night for Newcastle United
Not really a sad night, just a very unlucky one for them, they expected to actually steal a point from Anfield, but ironically, their delay technique that saw the extra time of the game extended for a few more minutes has robbed them. For the Newcastle supporters, the still will be proud with how their team have improved, they know surely that this is not the best performance from their team yet.

Exactly what happened, the over delay was absolutely unnecessary, I felt for them because a draw would have been a big boost to their performance. I know what a draw with Liverpool means to a club like Newcastle.
Almost every team is well prepared for this season with the level of competition I am seeing. The only two teams that aren't prepared are Bournemouth and Wolves. Since Bournemouth sacked their coach and got a draw, maybe their story could change.
1715  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I Know this is scam but I don't know how they go about it. on: August 31, 2022, 09:18:33 PM
I've seen several of these type of scam back in the days and if you have no idea what they were doing then you might fall for their traps. Scammers will always try something to let their victims/prospect to spend money or send it to someone by luring different type of tricks to their victim.

Best way is always not to entertain them if you don't know who they are and always put it your head that there are no free money in this world. Just think about it as hard as you can since in reality money won't come easy, unless of course if you are doing something illegal. Grin
I haven't got this experience but mine came as a WhatsApp message giving me link to click to redeem the money, I already new that it was a scam. I do not expect anyone to fall for the cheap scam. There no how a total strange person will give you phrase or private keys for you to redeem coin for him. When did you tell the scammer that you are a technical guru who solves wallet related problems for strangers?
1716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 31, 2022, 09:04:04 PM
What a sad night for Newcastle United

I have been watching the match between Liverpool Fc and Newcastle United. Newcastle first had a goal which their new signing Isak gave them. Later on Firmino got an equaliser. The ball had to continue without more goals. But Liverpools 90+8mins goal destroyed Newcastle. I wasn't so exited about the goal, the fairest result would have been draw.
I applaud Newcastle for playing well without their strong man St.Maximin who has Armstring injury.
1717  Other / Meta / Re: Hello Forum Admn. Can you create a New Board : "Bitcoin Business & Networking" on: August 31, 2022, 08:34:24 PM
Hello Forum Admin.

Can you create a new Board called " Bitcoin Business and Networking". This Board will be very helpful for Bitcoin  traders and those who seeking to do networking will find it helpful in the forum.

Thanks for your consideration.

Digital Monk
I don't understand what you meant by Bitcoin business and networking. Do you mean a board that will be like an exchange where you buy and sell Bitcoin? There is service board where many people offer such services.
Do you mean where to find help about trading, there is trading board. Are you saying about altcoins help there is also a board. What do you mean by Bitcoin business, there is goods board. I think every board that is relating to Bitcoin is complete in this forum.
1718  Other / Meta / Re: Is the forum now attracting people trying to impress for reward? on: August 31, 2022, 07:49:09 PM
Different users have different purpose on this forum, as long as the user isn't a shitposter or break forum rules, why it's need to be discussed?

I was trying to misunderstand the OP, but I had to refrain from that. In as much as a member of the forum is not shit posting, it will be difficult to determine if the person is posting to impress or to be rewarded. I am of the opinion that what OP meant by posting and not minding anything, is if a member can troll. Maybe I will have to troll theymos, moderators and staff to show that I am posting my mind.

But I have seen some people that will open thread and don't care to engage in the discussion, these are mostly newbies.
1719  Economy / Economics / Re: The BTC price must stabilize in the long run. on: August 30, 2022, 08:21:38 PM

source

This is what i mean when i say bitcoin isn't loosing value but USD may be with time, inflation is the number one evidence to proof it, bitcoin cannot be a fixed value because all theories about volatility will come to an end and turn lies, after the whole blocks had been mined, quite alright miners will depend on incentives from transaction fees to earn profits but bitcoin will be independently controlled the more and everyone will tend to sell at his convenient prize, the network will still remain volatile and the price will continue to rise and fall just as it has always been, i believe volatility is one of the distinct difference bitcoin has over fiat as well.
We know that fiat not only dollar lose value punishing the savers, also bitcoin loses value and punish savers too. The only difference is bitcoin can decide to rise and give savers joy but fiat doesn't do so.
Bitcoin price will tend to stablize in the future when there is mass adoption and again when all the bitcoin has been mined. But before then we will continue with what we have. The volatility of bitcoin is one reason people are avoiding it.
