I'd say the chances of gen 3 being a disappointment are pretty slim.  Quite counter to that, all the posted specs look like it'll be one of best options around, certainly in the top 3.

Guys you are missing the point.

It's a lottery IPO.  In other words, your chances of making profit off of these shares has to be comparable to the odds of winning a lottery. It's sort of meta. If you don't get it you obviously did not go to universities.

If you want a really good investment, you should invest in my 'Security Security' security IPO going on cryptostocks. I analyse securities. I'm only asking for 5 million dollars to get my business started. I wrote a really good plan out on a napkin somewhere around my desk area.

OP as someone who actually knows about bitcoin, you should take it upon yourself to dispel the wrong notions people, like your co-workers, have about bitcoin.  It really does help the bitcoin economy if we clear up all the FUD people have.

Its an uphill battle sometimes, when even a lot of the news stories on bitcoin are often wrong or hit-pieces, but our efforts do add up and they count.

For myself, in any given 10 people I tell about bitcoin:  5 of them, it will be completely over their head, 4 will not be interested or be convinced it must be some sort of scam, but about 1 of the 10 will be really intrigued and become a supporter, or at least interested enough to read a up on it and figure it out.

50 days seems really extreme, even for difficulty like it is now.  

As noted, the PoS difficulty really did a huge, 45 degree change in the last while. I think maybe 'the cat is out of the bag' about PoS whereas before not as many people knew how it worked. But maybe it's something else, hard to say.

Not bad idea unfortunately. I got screwed out of BTC by Jon Montroll of WeExchange, like it says in the sig. Just took everyone's deposits for almost 2 months and never allowed any withdrawals for yet unexplained reasons.

I like Havelock and I trade on there, but not as much as I used to.  Just be aware of the risks.

I bought in to PETA. A few days ago. I think it's a great bargain right now and I actually have some trust for the guys running it (unlike a lot of other securities).

Unless you are talking about the NSA / CIA or something. You don't get 'gag orders' from the FBI or FINCEN or a private company or whomever that don't allow you to even mention that they are involved and would involve seizing deposits, that is illegal. For the most part, gag orders mean you can talk about any details about a situation that has legal ramifications.  They do not mean, or extend, to not even being able to even mention that a law enforcement agency is involved or a court case is on-going.  And a gag order would certainly not be imposed that would allow you to stay in business and collect users deposits without being able to talk about a legal situation that means you can not return those deposits. That's really far-fetched.

I may have only lost 1 btc, but that is a lot of money for me, I am pretty poor currently.

Second, how is it that big bag holders are told what is going on, but not any of the rest of us? I'm sorry, it is just not reasonable to take someone's deposits, lock it, and then not give any non-lie reason for it being taken. So you let me get this straight. You want me to have my money taken from me and not bitch about it?  Whether you lost 1 btc or 100 btc you have a right to know what happened.

Your third point, about how numerous things could have happened that explain the situation:  as I posted before, I can not think of a single situation that answers the following for me:

Thought game here: what possible scenario could we have for Ukyo :

a) taking deposits from users knowing he was not able to pay them back for over a month and half.

b) what technical problem could he possibly be working on for 3 months that was render all of funds unavailable.  And what technical problem could be 'solved' leading to the recovery of our deposits. Really.

c) taking out a big loan when this started for unstated reasons that he defaulted on.

d) what possible 'legal reasons' could he have for not being able to explain the situation (beyond Ukyo just covering his ass). I can not think of a single situation either. (What, do you think he has a secret gag order from the CIA or something? )

e) he hasn't posted on these forums for 3 weeks.

f) I admit this is just a suspicion here: but it is very auspicious timing that this went down right went bitcoin entered it's last boom.

I'm open to any hypothesis that explains the situation.

Based on what has happened, what we have been told, and all points above: My personal conclusion is you are being strung along.

Again, give me one valid single hypothetical situation that explains all these points and will gladly stop posting.

Meanwhile? I'm going to keep bitching. I've given up on getting my stolen bitcoin back so at least I have the right to bitch about how my money was taken. Furthermore, having been scammed before, I feel in it is my duty for trying to open the eyes of those who have not been scammed before and may be trusting Ukyo without valid reason to do so.

I don't know what you know ffssixtynine. All I know is that someone took my bitcoin illegally and there has been only about 5% progress towards a resolution in 3+ months.

After the bitcoins I bought hit about $50 than I started to really get engrossed with bitcoin.

I was aware of bitcoin almost from the start. But although I thought the idea was amazing and was neat, I never expected it to catch on as much as it had. I never expected it to go above $20-$25. As soon as the snowball started going down the hill and it seemed like a general, positive economic movement was happening, I've tried never to doubt bitcoin ever again.

They likely will introduce some sort of their own competitive payment processing system that runs of phone bills or credit cards or what not, but I don't think they would use a cryptocurrency.

You would do more to help just by trying to ignore the news story (as opposed to talking to everyone you know about it, thus generating her and the story more exposure. )

I also think she went way too far on the personal details without a lot of proof, but I don't think an eye-for-an-eye is appropriate in this case.

I think it is him.  Though their are legit questions, for sure.  Biggest two for me:

1) Why he'd go to such lengths to hide his identity and then be using his real name ? Doesn't make a lot of sense to be so paranoid and then...use your real name. But is conceivable if you consider he never expected bitcoin to be so big that people would try to track down every Satoshi N in the world.

2) Why he seems to have financial and health problems yet never tapped into his bitcoins.

I think it is him though... people are complicated. And often, the more intelligent the person, the more.... complicated their personality is. People are not fully logical and the contradictions seem to be consistent, so ya, I think it is him. I'd say I'm 70% sure if I had to put a number on it.

I just went through a few pages of your post history and it is really sad man. You should seek professional help. Your life is obviously filled with a lot of pain and I feel sorry for you. I'm also ignoring you as well, so save yourself the vitriol in your writing of your 10,000th 'you are an idiot' post.
