1721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Is for the strong. on: March 11, 2023, 10:54:49 PM
No, gambling is for smart, not strong. Gambling in a smart way, accept your loss and play again later. Don't play when you knew yiu lost and then try to chase your loses coz you will only in worst case. Which will only end up start on becoming addict.
1722  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM ALERT] BLATENBIT.COM - Scam Exchange on: March 11, 2023, 05:30:24 PM
What happened: This is a scam exchange platform that has spread recently. The team of this platform sends the victims promo codes to activate them to receive cryptocurrencies. Still, they cannot withdraw before they deposit funds in the scam platform and after verifying their accounts and passing the KYC.

Reference Link: http://blatenbit.com/
It's a very old scam strategy that may worked long ago but I doubt these days it works anymore. People know they are fake.
You won't know how people's ignorance leads to even these days with lots information online regarding this kind of scam on  how to know and to avoid them.
1723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Second time of downtime in 3650 Days on: March 10, 2023, 11:59:20 PM
Bitcoin's price has very little to do with its uptime.
It is, on its last downtime wayback 2013, but it doesn't take long after it was fixed 5 hours later by satoshi himslef.

But yeah, that was a decade ago and look what bitcoin had become up to this very moment, it may seem have usually downtrend but it won't go the very same moment 4 years ago.
1724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regulations As the Catch 22 on: March 10, 2023, 11:36:46 PM
Your thoughts,
Do you think regulations are need more in crypto? should we have someone watching out more for the users of cryptos?
Regulations, either a very strict one or not is so much better than getting banned at all in any particular country. So even it's against all users will, we can't do anything but to follow it or doing things technically difficulty ~ a bit.

1726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about stop gambling services issued by gambling platforms? on: March 10, 2023, 10:57:34 PM
Most trusted casino have responsible gambling messages and warning, articles and even self-exclusions. There is no way gambling sites can't detect their user if already addict, but i guess it might be possible based on their gambling activity if will be studied thoroughly. But before that, users should be responsible and only self-exclusions can help. I guess this is the the platforms way to help gambling addicts on their platform based on some existing laws regarding responsible gambling internationally.
1727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Biggest Win So Far at Fortune.st Casino on: March 09, 2023, 11:42:55 PM
Whoever wins that amount I hope he can post here and verify the winning I'm not comfortable that the owner or representative is the one posting it here, although there is nothing wrong with it.
If the winner have an account here why not, but i don't think he will or so. If the screenshot is posted by OP is the winner's profile history page, he probably a huge bettor, considering he was just lost $7k bet and the win is just a normal win to him. Its just that it was the highest recorded win in the platform as for OP but who knows.
1728  Economy / Economics / Re: War: who benefits and how! on: March 09, 2023, 11:26:24 PM
Basically the businesses behind the arms production benefits the most because of the demand. But technically in general, no one benefits since the war effect directly hit the country's economy which was felt by so many country in the world, especially in Europe, Asia and even in US.
1729  Other / Meta / Re: Purchased Copper Membership (Missing) on: March 09, 2023, 10:42:12 PM
You should be patient, it takes time before bitcoin transaction got at least 1 confirmation. Anyhow, i can see already your copper  membership tag, maybe you can lock the thread now by tapping the "lock topic" in the lower left of this thread.
1730  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk monthly traffic analysis and stats on: March 09, 2023, 05:28:41 AM
You really don't need a tracking code or anything installed in a website to pull up such data. The advanced SEO analytical tools can bring all these data from search engine and using crawlers as long as site robots.txt is not blocking the crawlers.
Yes, of course. That's why a service like similarweb exist. What i'm talking is the accuracy of the data they gathered if there's no tracking code installed in a particular site. Even google analytics is not that accurate because most ad blockers or even latest browsers can block this kind of trackers.

1731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wrong Bets !!! on: March 08, 2023, 11:43:05 PM
Haha. This was so me few days ago, i was playing dice using my local currency as the main currency in a specific casino. I supposedly betting 4xx (around $7), but i put 4xxx (around $72).
Because im just changing 4xx and forget to delete the other number to change but add another number instead so it became 4xxx and unfortunately, i lost lmao. I was so sh*t that day.
So i stopped playing then comeback again after 3 days and fortunately i won what i have lost those day.
1732  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk monthly traffic analysis and stats on: March 08, 2023, 11:05:59 PM
What tools did you use to come up for this stats? That's pretty good though that is just an estimate, i said assumed traffic, not unless theymos did linked their analytic code/script inserting to bitcointalk for traffic/analytics purposes/tracking.

If there's a traffic analysis publicly available that can be considered, its only the ad info[1] of bitcointalk, but its not accurate since ads can be optionally blocked or hidden. But unfortunately since there's no forum ad already which was stoped by theymos  there's no way to track and get more accurate traffic for the site.

1733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if a change in people's views? on: March 07, 2023, 11:34:14 PM
what are your thoughts on what if the majority of the population all of a sudden sold all their fiat and put it into a crypto? like BTC, do u think the system or part of the traditional finance system see some type of impact/disruption?
That's a dream that can only done in a dream. Why would you thought something like that when bitcoin cannot replace fiat in any aspect of monetary system and matter of fact. Yeah, we are so called "bitcoiner" here, but don't be so delusional. Such thing wont come true.
1734  Other / Meta / Re: View Counter of each Reply on: March 07, 2023, 09:04:51 AM
You can do that with ninjastic.space

Just input the author name and the topic I'd and it will show you how many post that user has made in that topic
You misunderstood OP, he wants to see how many views each post had and not how many posts someone made in specific topic.
The title "view counter of each reply" probably the only thing he/she read and misunderstood the OP.

There's no way to detect if someone read the reply by just scrolling, i dont know if some js library built for that purpose especially for a forum/web page structure like this. Unlike other social media sites such twitter and facebook.
Although you can assume only, a user read the reply when its reply is replied by someone.
1735  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: DuckDice io Scam my deposit on: March 06, 2023, 11:40:13 PM
Can you tell what are the factors that your provider tell when the user is labeled a xxx or what?
Like IP address, email address, device, browser (height, width, etc.) etc.
By what chance they consider it since the user (OP) just bet once(sportsbook) when in fact people can use VPN and virtual machine that could modify everything from device to IP, except the email address.
1736  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin & Apple Pay on: March 06, 2023, 10:27:10 PM
There's no way to do that, and it won't happen anytime soon.

Since you mentioned these tech giants, If you are in US, you can use Cash App. Although i don't know if you can pay and send bitcoin now using Paypal in US but they announced working on it.
1737  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Coinwix.com Fake Exchange on: March 05, 2023, 11:51:06 PM
but I tend to agree that some competitors may leave negative reviews but those well-known service platforms compete very well.
Yeah, reasonable if the services are reputable but in this case not.

Here is a funny fact, the exchange platform mentioned above has an article on Tips for avoiding scams.
That's their new tactics, scammers do things like this, like what can be seen in phishing scam, either via email or sms saying that someone got accessed their account, ot have suspicious activity so they need to change their password accessing to fake website to get their password.

Although there's no proof that mentioned site is scam but i won't trust them even a single cent.
1738  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coinplay scammed me out of 1300 USDT on: March 05, 2023, 11:28:28 PM
One thing that gets me angry with most of the casino's or gambling site is that whenever they noticed a suspicious activity within your account it immediately leads to the closure of user accounts without any proper and further explanations for the user to understand their faults
That's what i'm getting furious about whenever i see a complaints against to any casino. The difference about this is coinplay let its user to withdraw the deposit amount compared to other casino who confiscate everything.
1739  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Coinwix.com Fake Exchange on: March 05, 2023, 10:06:48 PM
I don't know whether or not that means much and if we can trust BestExchangers and its evaluation.
Regardless the reputation of this BestExchanger the fact it was labeled as scam by them and other users in trustpilot reviews makes it more clearer that its really a scam.
Because why wont they waste their time to review for a little to zero exchange. And it wont be the case as competitor negative review coz it doesn't have any reputation yet. That's why it makes more sense.
1740  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Thought one of my online wallets was hacked and robbed on: March 05, 2023, 09:41:44 PM
If you mind, what version of electrum did you installed on your device? This is because there are compromised version of electrum that were used for phishing. Anyway, seems the timeline doesn't match, so its unlikely that it is the case, but not impossible to happen. On the other hand, it is probably you used a compromised device that a hacker did get access your funds OR you accidentally save the seed then someone got an access to it and lastly, it's an inside job which is little to zero chance that might happen.
