1721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or keep playing? on: October 20, 2023, 11:55:15 PM
As I only gamble for fun, in case I'll win some significant sum, I'll most probably withdraw it immediately.
That's what everyone must do. Whether you're for fun or money as you gamble, always secure your money first. You don't need a lot of reasons to do that but it's like a practice of many gamblers so that they won't go home crying and have nothing.

I'd possibly leave some small amount on the betting platform so I can make some small bets in future.
This is okay, you'll deduct that from the sum of your winnings while you have already secured your starting amount when you gamble. It's a win for you and whether you lose that money, you're okay because you're secured already with that money you've withdrawn before.

But it seems that this becomes hard for many gamblers when they're not using their common sense because they think that they're not going to lose any moment.
1722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: October 20, 2023, 10:56:54 PM
That's probably true that there are more middle and lower class that do gamble than the rich ones. But we need to provide accurate data on that because if not, then the other one is true that there are more rich gamblers than of the said two categories.

So talking about the latter, it's because they can do that freely and don't need to think of how they should acquire money because they already had it from their various source like businesses and investments.

Likely that most of those money generated from those sources are passive income. And they're free to spend that depending on what they wanna do with it like gambling it or giving it to the charity.

But just like them, I don't gamble with the actual money left on me. Usually, it's just the spare that I spend these days.
1723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: October 20, 2023, 07:50:32 PM
Quitting gambling needs to start with needing something new or better than the gambling they are interested in.
There is no need for any reason for someone to quit gambling.

Quitting is quitting and that means that gambler just want to get out of this habit because it doesn't do good for him or even if it does but if he don't think he'll be staying there, he has to quit.

No matter what people say when you're quitting, it's the same thing what people say when you're addicted to gambling. That's why you have to choose yourself and inner peace for that. No words from other people should dictate you just to have a reason to quit.

If you want to get out, just simply be out.
1724  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading or investment! What's your take? on: October 20, 2023, 06:55:50 PM
In investing or trading, of course these two things have different levels of risk, but if we are new to the world of crypto, it would be better for us to choose one first to be able to make a profit and if we understand it well then we can do both things to be able to gain profits from investing and trading. If we commit to these two things, I think we can gain profits from investing and trading.
I agree, choosing one should be the first step for a newbie.

The best option is to become an investor first. This is like testing yourself if you can take the market's reaction by having time to understand how investing in crypto is like.

You'll notice the huge difference of trading and investing and as a newbie, it's likely that you'll just be happy staying being an investor. And that's when you see how it is more risky to trade than to invest just like what everyone talks about it.

But you're all free to test yourself in trading too.
1725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 20, 2023, 12:21:45 PM
A new treasure Crimson Witness 2023, has been released, but will only be available to TI12 visitors. An interesting decision, of course, it won't affect the TI12 prize pool due to the fact that the coverage of people is extremely small. I would like the treasury to be made available to everyone who has a battle pass much earlier.
I think that they'll make available to everyone soon.

9Pandas was fined for being late for makeup, and now they have lost 110 seconds of bonus time. I'll laugh if it doesn't affect their pick and they end up winning the game. I think they have drafts and are well prepared, so this won't cause them much damage.
IIRC, there was a team that has been penalized with this as well for their picking time. But I guess that this won't be a matter to them as they'll plan their picks and strategies. Like they have already a preplanned heroes and lineup against LGD gaming.

Finally, the day of the playoffs has arrived, I'm already tired of waiting for it. Today the Dota 2 celebration will continue, cheers
Yeah, it was like forever when we've waited for this to come and it's a three day action again but we have to wait again for another week once this playoffs is done and we're moving to the lower bracket round 3 on wards and for upper bracket semis on wards.
1726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler avoiding friends after a big win. on: October 19, 2023, 11:38:45 PM
I will also support this kind of decision in avoiding friends when you make a big win in gambling, this is not because you wanted to intimidate them or got them disappointed, but you wouldn't like to engage in doing any mistake that will result in loosing the entire money back to gambling and unnecessary spendings that are mostly orchestrated through friends, when you should be sitting down in planning how you can Invest with the money.
That's what I think as well.

When you've won big and you've got friends that you know that will ask you to keep going on aside from asking you some giveaway from that win of yours. Then, it's just better to have your separate ways.

When we say big win, how much that could be? Thousands of bucks, hundreds or how much that could be on this case?

1728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 19, 2023, 07:48:18 PM
Man , I've played yesterday 2  games on Dota and I had Ogre on mid in one of them ...guess how that turned up ? Smiley) he ended up getting fat with around 3.8k hp , full 6 items and more than this , it was Crusader 5 rank Smiley) so I think it's just the hero who is broken once you have a good start because I doubt the skills of that guy were over the roof right ?
Hero is really broken and we might see a nerf after that and Volvo is likely to remove that dumb luck skill because it's overpowered. I've been using that hero in pubs and ranked up with it by just playing position 5.

Whether it's on the mid, or goes into a support role. It's an ideal hero that you'll just play and enjoy and I think that's what team are seeing it and being tanky is certainly a huge plus on it.

Also , another broken hero that we could make a surprise is Wind Range so careful when you see this hero being picked.  Grin
What's with WR? Any reason why you think that it's a broken and OP hero? Because for the past games, we don't see that much matches that teams picked it.
1729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is bigger than the government reason my Gov tried to blackmail bitcoin on: October 19, 2023, 09:14:09 AM
There have been a lot of news about Israel and Bitcoin recently due to the funding from some parts of the world and other groups doing it with Hamas and Jihad.

But as you make this thread, are you sure that Israel just did banned Bitcoin? I did my own research but no recent article says that they've banned Bitcoin.

What I've found are these articles that suggests that they may ban Bitcoin but it's from 2017 backwards. Like this;

1730  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dreams without goals are just wishes on: October 19, 2023, 07:20:35 AM
Have you ever had big dreams and wondered how to make them happen?
Yeah, many times and despite that they're big, I'm still dreaming and trying to achieve it in my own way. Just like the quote that I've read before that if your dreams aren't making you scared of how big they are, they're not dreams but just mere wish.

Dreams are like the stars in the sky, shining, brightly, and full of possibilities. By setting valuable goals, you're not only turning your dreams into reality, but you're also giving yourself a clear path to follow. So, what are your dreams, and how will you turn them into reality with valuable goals?
Like franchising restaurants, having my own set of companies like literally group of companies. How I'll be able to make them into reality? I don't know but I'm just doing everything that I can to achieve things little by little.

Maybe someday in the future that there will be better people than me that will be the help to achieve my own dreams. They're like the connections that someone needs to pursue their businesses.
1731  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin base case target on 2030 is $682,800 according to Ark Invest on: October 18, 2023, 11:51:19 PM
I reckon. However, Ark Invest's bullish case price target should be backed by eating a human organ on national television by the CEO hehehehe.
RIP to John though.

IIRC, Ark Invest has always been bullish and they've got a huge holdings in Bitcoin and that makes sense to hear and see Kathy gives bullish predictions and that's why we can always count on her to tell such huge speculations on the market.

I am not against her but we have to get closer to these real numbers before that gives me that hope. I'm bullish as well I am depending on the actual numbers that we see ATM.
1732  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Know When to Stop. Lesson for Everyone, Particularly Investors on: October 18, 2023, 10:47:53 PM
Great advises.

It all sums up that when you're distracted and not focused, you better stop or something bad will happen to your trades. That's right, don't push it too hard when you're distracted and you can't focus with your analysis because it is your money that's being put in the line.

No matter what people say and disturbs you a lot, don't continue as trading is always free time and don't require us to trade at certain times. Maybe for some times, there are those moments like crucial times you're seeing some good entry and selling points.

But when disturbance comes to you, you're already losing that thought of what you must do. It's always okay to take a rest, a break and to stop when it is a must.
1733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question for those who loose too frequently in gambling on: October 18, 2023, 09:43:18 PM
I have often wondered about the people who have lost a lot in gambling and who almost loose in every gambling activity they participate. What is their reason or motivation to continue even after so many losses?
The losses itself.

If you are ever seeing those gamblers that keeps on going on despite the huge losses already, it is because of that. When you've been beaten for so many times and your money has been taken into your hands.

All you want is to take them back. But what happens for most is that they're taken for more and that's how it goes. It still ends up into stopping but that's like with some rage in the heart because of those losses incurred.

It is very unfortunate how some persons derive joy in loses, how can someone be doing a business and you're losing conspicuously then they still continue doing the business why don't they quit or rather discard it for sometime. Like in football there are weeks that matches presented are not too familiar with a gambler so instead of leaving it they will want to try luck knowing too well that the chances of predicting the outcome of the event is not cerntain
There is this mindset and mentality named "YOLO".

I know that you also know it and that's what makes someone to continue even if he's got nothing anymore but wanting to keep going. And with that mindset that encourages them, the other thing that they do is when they are using those disappointments and mainly losses in gambling as their motivation.

You can see the point from there and that's why with gamblers that have been losing a lot of money, whether they've got reasons or not, something pushes them to go on and uses that as their motivation which is wrong obviously in our eyes but for them, it is not.
1734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gift to wife. on: October 18, 2023, 07:36:03 PM
My wife just talked to me about it and I'm just playing that I haven't heard it. I'm still contemplating if I'll teach her or not because she wants the most of my holdings to be hers.

I know that it's like a conjugal thing but I just want to keep it to myself first because it is going to serve as a surprise to her at the right time. But maybe teaching her the basics would do and will do the same thing of gifting her some mbtcs which will encourage her to hold it and have some more through her own accumulation.

I am contemplating because it could just be a decoy interest and it's all about her wanting to just cash out asap.  Grin

I'd like to donate my USDT(BSC) $12.5 from the bounty that I have participated. But I don't have BNB to cover the fee, if you can send me an amount(cents worth of BNB) so I'll be able to transfer it. I'll do it right away. I hope this little gesture of mine contribute to the help for the orphanage school.

Let me know what you think or kindly DM me, thanks.

Your generosity is apreciated, boyptc.

It's wonderful to see how a small gesture can make a big impact keeping the conversion of USD to PKR it's worth almost 2-3 days of daily income of a average Pakistani.

Please feel free to reach me out if you still need any assistance in covering the BNB fee; I can definitely help in your noble cause.
Hello, this is the BSC address: 0x59e94dddf101ad068eaa8E45969E041955D6BB24

If you'll check that address, that contains the $12.5 USDT (BSC/BEP20) that I'm going to send.

Also, once the BNB for the fee is sent, I want to know on which address I should send or it should be sent here on this BSC address below that I quoted, please confirm first before I do or let me know if there's another address where I shall send it.

Anyway, here's the suggested fee 0.00012205 BNB but it varies so maybe you can send a bit stretch from that suggestion of metamask.

1740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Low cost but effective solutions to gambling addiction on: October 17, 2023, 12:18:55 AM
There is this 'stress eating' that had been my solution to any problems even until now, I still do it. And for those addicted gamblers that can't find a way to ask for professional help because the appointment fee is too much and expensive. Yes, that's normal even for just an appointment without the consultation, there are professionals that do charge way too expensive.

For some reasons, this has been my gateway out of those problems. I can't say if I've been addicted in gambling before because I know that I can control myself. But this strategy could also be a way for those gamblers that don't have that much.

It means that you can focus your thoughts on doing other activities or a hobby that you'll have to spend most of your time and it could be like this one that I have mentioned or any sports or activities that you can go together with any of your friends.

From doing so, that's going to help you spend less money or no money at all when you're committed into getting out of addiction. They're low cost and yet very effective.
