Are these buy walls real???
No - trade with caution, I'm an EAC supporter but over the last few days it hasn't had this kind of buying support - probably the largest walls have been in the 2-4 BTC. The buy walls will be pulled at some point, (particularly the 55BTC at 60), and they will move on to some other coin. So what is there purpose? Someone bought it up to 85. And I'm sure it was the same group. How can they profit from that? |

True. But we know Mr Karpeles is always very evasive. Even when he could say something not damaging to himself and his company, he'd rather say nothing, at least it seems.
I mean, really.. 750k coins? There were that many HODLERS on gox?
Lets say 700k of the theft occured when bitcoin was <$10. This is probably how it did go down.
How will that work out? I'm trying to think it out and it seems like regardless of the point in time the theft took place, its still valued at 300m USD now, is that correct? So how on earth did they remain operational at all from 2013 onwards??? Hard to wrap my head around it...

Look at all this fresh fiat money on Bitstamp. And look at this lack of coins.
I was expecting to come back and reply to you saying not to get carried away and post the current bid/ask depth stats, but.. wow! Bid sum is up 10m USD in 2 days and ask sum is down 8k BTC. Thats an improvement from 500USD/BTC (bid depth) to 1375USD/BTC I've been out of the loop for a while. Where are you seeing this info? I had no idea that existed. I was just going by Bitcoinity depth memory lol. Looks like I was pretty close.. |

550 will be seen again, guaranteed. You.. wanna bet on that? If you are going to bet, bet on the market. If you believe that its not going to go past $550, buy buy buy then right now. I just think saying we wont see 550 again is silly. I wont make much by betting on that in the market. Actually, he said it will be seen again Wow I need to get more sleep.. LOL!! |

Can we make a deal right now  I believe he is sleeping right now due to his time zone. I am in his same time zone... Amsterdam.... But no worry... if he read this in the morning we are still not to late ! Bumface already said he doesn't want to, and doesn't even have the funds because he invested all the IPO money on asic scrypt miners. Btw, Crypsty is also adding Benjamins as no.157 and Smartcoin as 158. Hmmm no funds....sometimes you must invest "extra" for the future... Any way, i invest today 1,4 BTC and i can only wish and hope more people from our community can and will follow in the next 8 hours before MintPal is adding... Very generous of you, thanks. Am I the only one who thinks that if Gox does come out alive and pay out, that this would be the best thing to happen for Bitcoin? The news would be unbelievably positive.
Its death.. well, its terrible already. It will only get worse if they wont pay out.

Where does this mess leave Bitcoinbuilder?
Bitcoinbuilder's main trade was buying Goxcoins at a discount for real Bitcoins. He was gambling that Mt.Gox would come out of it's problems.
If Mt.Gox is bust, those Goxcoins are worth nothing, and Bitcoinbuilder is the loser in the deal (the gamble).
Or have I got the wrong end of the stick?
I think its wrong, only those who bought Goxcoins are screwed (at least, it seems) |

is it not possible that gox coins do eventually get paid out? According to that leaked document the future plan is to pay everyone back after admitting the losses. Gox could come back now as one of the strongest and most reliable exchanges  It would have to.... If the article werent leaked, maybe. But now, assuming its real, everyone knows their plan.. and it wont work  One of the news articles said Mtgox was declaring bankruptcy... was that verified? or FUD? FUD, I saw that on a Chinese article or something. Either bad translation, or inaccurate news. |
