Tottenham are having bad times after the world cup break as they got only 1 point from 2 matches against weak teams, that's not looking good for this team and they seems close from losing the European promotion spot, now they have a complicated match next round against crystal balace and they must prepare well for it
TBH i don't think Spurs are going to be competitors in the EPL or CL with Antonio Conte as their manager, it isn't working between him and the players, and i am pretty sure it boils down to his coaching philosophies which i don't really admire to say the least. Spurs spend a good amount of money on transfers every season, but yet they cannot compete consistently for the title. Imo, they need a new manager that would suit the team, a manager that is more open to attacking football and fluidity, because they have the quality of players to play as open as they like.

Having said that, Spurs are 5th on the table right now, with Liverpool breathing down their necks in 6th place, and with a game in hand too, i think it is only a matter of time before Conte's men find themselves far away from the top 4.

Nevertheless I think Ronaldo is happy with his recent move and that's all that matters.
I wouldn't say Ronaldo is happy moving to Al Nassr, i am pretty sure the Portuguese superstar still believes he can perform at the top/elite level in Europe, and tbh i think he can, but no elite club seems to be interested in him anymore, and also age might have just caught up with him. Ronaldo had once said he would love to finish his career at the top level, but i guess in life we don't always get our wish, but nonetheless he is obviously one of the greatest of all times, and most players were done when they were 33/34/35, but he went on until 37, and his turbulent time at United was the beginning of the end. Al Nassr have a nice project and Ronaldo would help them grow it, he would also earn so much, both in money and other benefits, he deserves it and i wish him all the best.
1743  Economy / Economics / Re: Legal methods of acquiring free assets on: December 31, 2022, 06:09:58 PM
Are there good methods of legally acquiring free assets people would like to share?
I don't think there is any method to acquire a valuable asset for free, except you are prolly inheriting them from your family or something. In the case of this earthmoving equipments that are old and prolly spoilt, no one is going to give them to you for free unless they know you would spend a fortune in making it work again, and it prolly might not, or it could spoil again after a few weeks/months of your repair. Thus i don't think you are even getting them for free per se, because you are definitely going to put in time and resources into something that might turn out unsuccessful.
In crypto, we have airdrops and faucets which have somewhat fallen by the wayside and become forgotten it seems. Is there a way to revive interest in faucets and airdrops? How could it be done, how would you do it?
Airdrops and faucets are still around i guess, just that people don't see it as being worth their time, it is still along the lines of something that is free would prolly not be worth anything for you. Many of these airdrops also request people to submit their data, thus exchange of ones data for worthless coins is never a bargain.
Mining also used to be a good method of acquiring free assets. Is it possible to revive crypto mining?
Do you mean cloud mining? Turns out it is mostly a scam nowadays to enrich the scammer running/providing the service.
1744  Other / Meta / Re: What one change would you like to see in bitcointalk in 2023 on: December 31, 2022, 05:27:28 PM
When I started the topic, I had in the back of my mind that there will be people who will come and say, that one thing that bitcointalk should do is to stop the Signatures. Whenever there is a debate of removing spam from the forum, the idea of getting rid of signatures is always thrown by a few members.

Although, I do not agree with this idea, but since no one asked for this change in this thread, so I guess people have changed their minds on
it  Roll Eyes
Paid signature campaigns are a tremendous part of this forum as regards traffic, we cannot argue with the fact that removing signature campaigns would definitely affect the forum traffic, i don't mean it would run it to the ground, but truth be told, many users wouldn't post quite frequently, and it is fine/normal/acceptable. There is nothing wrong with paid signature campaigns and suggesting to remove it to combat spam is quite too much to ask, spammers hardly ever make it into signature campaigns because they can't rank up due to the merit system, they are in one bounty campaign or the other, thus it is futile hindering the activity of good users who earn from the forum through their good posts, it might combat spam but it would be a pyrrhic victory.

Of course it has been the same for Arsenal as well considering their results so far. But let's see how strong Arsenal defense will be able to hold them and especially Haaland.
I am pretty sure that Erling Haaland prolly scoring against Arsenal wouldn't be any problem for the Emirates club as long as they win the match, i don't think they would even be thinking about that game right now, they must take things every game at a time, and the most important game for them is the next one, and not when they eventually meet Manchester City.

Having said that, It is half time in the City v Everton game, but i must say it has been an interesting and feisty one, prolly a difficult game for the referee to control, but he is doing well, Haaland is at the center of it all as he has had numerous altercations with the Everton back line, i am pretty sure Pep would have to calm him down in the dressing room for the second half, he is already on a yellow card, he wouldn't want him sent off even after scoring a goal and would prolly score more in the second half.
1746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 30, 2022, 02:18:49 PM
after E. Haaland scored 2 goals in his last league match vs. leeds united here is a statistic that shows that the norwegian striker who plays for 'the citizens' has now scored more goals alone than e.g. fc chelsea or other pl clubs
Erling Haaland has had an absolutely unbelievable start to life at the Etihad, 20 EPL goals after just 15 games and 23 left to play is just unprecedented. He has also broken the record and is now the fastest player to score 20 EPL goals, the record which was formerly held by Kevin phillips who reached that feat after just 21 games, Erling Haaland now holds the record with just 15 games played. Having said that, i believe Haaland would have his eyes on Salah's record of most goals scored in a single season (32 goals), i believe it is very possible for Haaland to break that record, he has 23 games left to play this season (that's if he doesn't get injured again). Anyway all these goal records wouldn't matter too much if City do not successfully defend their crown.
1747  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The high increase of insecurities in Nigeria, how do we combat this? on: December 30, 2022, 10:18:03 AM
Insecurity na better wahala for our country today, most people just they lowkey, because if you too show yourself them fit kidnap you sharperly. I know men wey bin wan buy car this year, but they comot the idea from their mind so them no go kidnap them, see wahala na, person get money, but e no fit spend am because e they fear, e no make sense na.

Having said that, of course as matter they like this, na normal thing say we go blame our government and security agencies because na them they in charge of protecting lives and properties in Nigeria. The thing be say Naija government no they prioritise the life and wellbeing of their citizens, those at the top they chop money wey them suppose use improve the security system, whilst the security officers they look for their own pocket through bribes or chasing after irrelevancies. In one word: corruption is the root cause of all our problems.
1748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 30, 2022, 09:31:05 AM
I think Real Madrid might be the best option for Jude Bellingham. Although bigger teams like Manchester City and Liverpool are also interested in him but I think Real Madrid would be the best fit for him as they will enable him to grow more as a player. Another thing is that most players always dream to play for a team like Real Madrid which is not only a  football club but also a big brand and he will get a big chance to develop his skills over there.
You are absolutely correct that most footballers dream is to play for Real Madrid, to don Madrid's white jersey is more like a dream come true for many players; Jude Bellingham is one of the most highly sought after players in Europe right now and he certainly is going to leave Dortmund in the summer, but there are quite a lot of suitors and we can't predict who he will choose.

Having said that, Liverpool and Real Madrid seem to be the most serious of the clubs that want to sign Jude, City are just closely monitoring how things develop. Liverpool really need a player like Jude, they have problems in midfield and he would solve them for the club from the red half of Merseyside, Real Madrid on the other hand look somewhat complete in midfield with two very young midfielders in Camavinga and Tchouameni, both players look like they are the replacements for Kroos and Modric, even though the two of them are still performing at the top level, but as is typical of Madrid, they want to sign all the best players possible. Jude has a tough decision to make, but one he has to make nonetheless.
1749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 29, 2022, 05:25:32 PM
I don't see any disruption to Manchester City's performance. Rather, I see a lot of improvement in their performance now than before in the World Cup. Halland is performing as before, he managed to score two goals in today's match. Manchester City's XI is really strong.
Manchester City were not as sharp as usual yesterday, likewise Erling Haaland, even despite the fact that the team managed to score three goals, whilst the Norwegian got two for himself. Erling missed quite a lot of chances yesterday and he didn't look his usual self, even with his ball control and first touches, they weren't clicking, he definitely wasn't at his best, if he was he could easily have scored 5/6 yesterday. His manager and even the player himself reiterated the same thing, but i guess he will get back to his normal predator style sooner rather than later.

Having said that, i have been watching City all season in the EPL, and i am not yet convinced about them, many people who don't watch their games only see the victories, but many times this season City look vulnerable, the good thing for them is they are still very close to the top of the table, and they can get into perfect gear at anytime; Arsenal indeed have a real chance to be champions, but City are serial winners and they can turn everything on its head at any moment.
1750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 29, 2022, 11:49:49 AM
They are already title contenders and don't really need to prove it anymore. The end of Jan fixtures should be challenging ones that could shape the season though. Arsenal made good signings last summer and are reaping the rewards from it.
Sometimes i really do not understand it when people still believe that Arsenal have to prove themselves to be contenders for the EPL title this season. I mean, what else do they have to prove, their performances thus far this season has been spectacular and they are on top of the league and still flying, imo they have been the best team thus far in the EPL and they are not only contenders, but title favorites.

Having said that, City have not been at their very best, though they have been winning games, but they haven't been all that exceptional, and the other big teams are not playing at their best too. Without question Arsenal have a real chance to win the League this season, and unless they capitulate, they would be EPL champions.
1751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2022 Crypto Dead Projects List on: December 29, 2022, 10:49:55 AM
I'm pretty sure the number of failed/dead/extinct projects are way bigger than this, we all know new projects spring up on a daily basis and more often than not they all either fail, or scam people, and that brings an end to the project, either way the project doesn't succeed.

I don't even think it is actually possible to get the exact number of projects that failed this year, because trust me they are so much. To think that people lose money everyday in all of these projects, but nonetheless the next new project still allures investors, i guess it is what it is, and nothing is going to change next year or even in the future; for people who do no know what they are doing/how to handle altcoin risky investments, they better basically just invest in Bitcoin that is sustainable for the long run, and that wouldn't go extinct like most altcoins do.
1752  Economy / Economics / Re: Hope for cryptocurrency in Nigeria. on: December 29, 2022, 09:45:44 AM
The main reason why Nigeria is banning crypto is because it wants to protect her already dwindling economy
The Federal government of Nigeria hasn't/didn't ban Bitcoin, the ban by the CBN on the processing of crypto transactions is more about lack of understanding than in a bid to protect the dwindling economy, because crypto is providing something for the populace in the country, whereas the government has provided absolutely next to nothing, thus i find it amusing that the federal government of Nigeria continually say they are trying to protect people from the volatile crypto market.
thier politicians loot public funds tends to stash those money in a safe place and that's the crypto space
Quite rightly Nigerian politicians loot public funds, but as for where they stash it, i think it is far away from in the crypto network.
1753  Economy / Economics / Re: Save your environmental economic cycle on: December 29, 2022, 09:27:16 AM
Online shopping and physical stores are both directly or indirectly part of the economy. Most physical stores these days also have their own online market for customers that are far away and cannot drive down to the physical store, and even many of the people who sell commodities online are into drop shipping, they sell to customers directly from the manufacterers because they cannot affort to rent a physical store. Imo both the large and small scale market are important, and people/customers would eventually have to choose what's best for them, and sellers will have to adapt.

Having said that, talking about adapting, smaller shops in street corners can adapt by understanding the sort of goods that people in their community would need from a local store without having to go to a bigger store or online, thus they can have those sort of commodities on display for fast sales, if they try to compete with the bigger online market they might be out of business sooner rather than later.
1754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: December 28, 2022, 05:19:17 PM
This match brought together the two European giants. of course, fans don't want to be disappointed by what they watch.
I am pretty sure none of us would have wanted this sort of game in the RO16 stage, i mean this was last seasons CL final, we would have been happier if this game came in the later stages of the competition, but i guess it is what it is, it is just like the PSG v Bayern Munich game, these are big matches worthy of being a CL final, but we are going to experience them quite early in the competition.

Having said that, i don't think there's any chance in hell that the game is going to be boring or that fans will be disappointed with what they'd see, i am expecting a very open and entertaining game, the both sides are usually always interesting to watch, thus i am not expecting anything different in this game. Well i expect Real Madrid to come out victorious like they did in last seasons CL final.
1755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 28, 2022, 03:14:35 PM
Despite the new season just starting, Man City's first match is scheduled to take place tonight against Leeds United. There should be a rain of goals, and I predict that Man City won't win, but they will send a clear message to Arsenal, their real rival. As for Erling Haaland, I predict a hat trick or a brace for him.
Well, a new season isn't just starting, the season started a few months ago and only went on a one month break due to the WC, now that the WC is over, club football has resumed as well. You said there is to be a rain of goals, City would send a clear message to Arsenal, and that Haaland would either score two or three goals, and yet you still predicted that City won't win, i don't see how that's possible, because in any City game that there is a rain of goals, there is a pretty high chance that City would win because it is very difficult for teams to outscore Manchester City.

Having said that, with Arsenal already 8 points above Manchester City as things stand, Pep and his boys would very much understand that this game is a must win for them, and imo i think it is going to be a pretty straightforward victory for the boys from Etihad.
1756  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello Im new in crypto but i have idea on: December 28, 2022, 01:35:06 PM
Then how i make money in crypto?
I want to make 1000$ daily atleast then i see this crypto Has some point.
Everything still boils down to possessing the necessary skills and patience, though $1000 per day is a bit over the top and somewhat unrealistic, but just basically talking about making money through crypto requires skills and patience, nobody would pay you if you do not have anything to offer them, and if you do not have the patience to learn skills that you can offer, then it all comes down to the same fact that nobody is going to pay you a penny in the crypto market.

In your case, you clearly do not have any skill set for now, and it doesn't look like you have the patience to learn, you seem to want things pretty fast, something like a get rich quick scheme, mind you that it doesn't always end too well for people who quickly want to make money through crypto.
1757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Are You Preparing For 2023? on: December 28, 2022, 12:40:13 PM
So, how are you preparing for 2023, what or which altcoin are you buying in preparation for 2023?
Just to continue accumulating Bitcoin into my stash because it is the only project that i am certain is sustainable for the long period. For investors that would want to accumulate altcoins, they better know that altcoins are generally short term projects, and buying them now that we are still deep into the bear market is quite risky, quite a lot of them might not even survive the bear market and they would be dead before the bull run begins, thus it is much better for altcoin investors to wait for the bull run to start before they accumulate on altcoins, it is less risky for them to do things in that way.
And speaking of new altcoins, ive been investing in Renec in preparation for 2023, Renec blockchain is one of the best projects I've found so far, the project was fully launched in October 2022, since then, usage and activities on the Renec blockchain has been increasing day after after, it's one project I wouldn't want any body to miss, so I urge you all to check it, you can start your research by joining their community on discord - https://discord.gg/Vw9ykjAWGh
This coin is still relatively new and risky, i'd be careful recommending it to people, for all we know it could basically be a scam project, or a pump and dump coin. People should always do their own research anyway.

Omoh the CBN come they enter news well well these days oh, e come be like say them don they take their duty of financial regulation seriously oh, lol, as a citizen of Nigeria i go support anything wey go ensure say the country move forward as long as innocent citizens no go fall victim at all.

Having said that, E just they like when CBN bring their policy on withdrawal, i bin no support am for some few reasons, but as the amendment show, i come see say the thing don they fair and good, thus make them carry on. My problem with this BVN matter wey them don eye na im be say some people wey no commit fraud, but based on say them no loud their means of income, fit fall into wahala, e just they like EFCC matter, as long as you be fresh guy wey they do well, them go tag you yahoo boy, even if you never steal one naira from person before, e they vex me. 1759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 27, 2022, 10:26:54 PM
Darwin Nunez, who was brought in in the summer of 2022 to replace Sadio Mane, played far below expectations. I think Gakpo is really needed at Liverpool to catch up in the English league as well as prepare for the Champions League match
Darwin Nunez hasn't really been as bad as people think, i know he hasn't scored as many goals as people expected him to when he arrived at Liverpool, part of the problem/pressure on him is that City signed Erling Haaland around the same time Liverpool signed Nunez, and whilst Haaland is firing on all cylinders, Nunez isn't doing quite the same thing and people are making all sorts of comparison all over social media.

Having said that, i think Nunez would eventually be a hit for Liverpool, and ironically the signing of Gakpo could help his career because sometimes competition helps a player improve, i think the competition in Liverpool's attack would help all of them to improve in order to play, and it would be a win-win for the players individually and the club too.

Easy bet ! I actually cant believe that I got over 2x odds on Chelsea to get cleansheet against Bournemouth. I didnt even flinch when I saw this and immediately bet on it which turned out to be a good bet.
Congratulations on your win there, you got a pretty nice odd for that bet, though i wouldn't call it an easy bet, you know in football anything is possible and Bournemouth might have gotten a goal out of nowhere/nothing and there goes the bet, but good for you that Chelsea managed to keep them out for the entire 90 minutes.
Probably due to the World Cup that bookies deemed some club might not even get clean sheet on their first game after break
Prolly so, or maybe they just consider the odd worthy of a bet on a clean sheet in a game like that, it has some risks you know, and the odd is worth it imo.
